This all began with an idea between my wife and I. What if we could put a door where there wasn't one? Much like everyone who chooses to undergo house renovations, it can feel like a daunting task when starting out, but we can easily say that Structura and their staff made everything smooth, easy and worthwhile. This is our second time contracting with Structura to do work on our house. This second job was a replacement of our leaking, aging roof. We also have our HVAC unit on our roof with all of the ducting so it was not an easy job! I can't say enough good things about Structura Remodeling ... I'd been thinking about remodeling a dated condo for awhile, but I really didn't know where to start. We have been getting quotes for a patio cover and deck remodel. Structura set up a call quickly, but then after describing in detail the scope of the project, ended up quoting me only a "rough guesstimate" that was more than two times what 3 other companies quoted me. I asked a few follow up questions and they didn't respond to them. I'm assuming, based on the experience, and some others posted here, that they are quick to hop on calls but when it comes down to actually providing services, slow down substantially or put "smaller" (under 30k) jobs on the backburner. read more

Structura did a great bathroom remodel for us. Our house is more than 70 years old, and the bath was 1960s-era and really needed an update. We wanted to remove the old tub, and create a large shower area with no glass so we could (someday, if needed) roll a wheelchair right into the wash area. Kobi and his designer quickly came up with a plan and provided a materials list of the items we needed to buy. A detailed inspection revealed the floor joists were smaller than expected, which required a change because our desired slope wasn't possible. Kobi's team quickly came up with 3 options for dealing with it, and waited patiently while my wife and I considered the options. It took us a few weeks but once we decided, Kobi promptly proposed a start date. They worked fast, and I had to shop quickly to get the items here when needed. They removed all the old fixtures, replaced damaged studs and joists, created a new floor slope, installed new floor and wall tile, tankless water heater (with updated gas line), vanity, toilet, shower set, recessed medicine cabinet, fan, new door, new outlet, moved the electrical switches, fixed built-in cabinets, and painted. Construction start-to-end was about 5 weeks, which included inspections by the city. The bathroom looks great; clean and modern, but also simple and not ostentatious. Just the way we wanted it. Structura did a great job. They communicate very well, answer the phone when you call them, and provide regular updates. I spoke with 2 different employees who asked multiple times if it was ok if I made decisions without my male partner present and kept asking if we should reschedule until he could be there regardless of how many times I assured them that I am capable of making decisions on my own. We all know they wouldn't be asking my partner these questions if I wasn't available to attend the consult. I was also asked very personal career questions about my partner and myself. It was a thinly veiled attempt at seeming warm, though it was asked so awkwardly that it was obviously to gauge our financial situation. The "specialist" was extremely disinterested in anything else I had to say. He spoke over me and kept referring to the image of my home he found on google street view despite the house not being visible from the street. I typically don't write reviews, but I wanted to share that Kobi and his crew are very good at their jobs and are very adaptable when it comes to unexpected curveballs. Kobi is very detail oriented in his approach to everything. He makes sure that he understands what you're looking for and confirms exactly what is expected. There is no ambiguity when getting things done. At the beginning of 2020, I had just purchased a new house that needed some renovations done. I initially contacted Structura to replace the carpet on my stairs and the entire 2nd floor (excluding bathrooms) with vinyl planks and in-floor heating, which they had never done before. Then I started adding other projects, which included moving and adding light switches around the house, replacing lighting fixtures, patching drywall (after I decided to run ethernet cable all over the house), and constructing a soundproof wall in the master bedroom (after I found out that it was practically paper thin when it came to sound attenuation), which they also never did before. When it came to the heated floors, after doing thorough research, I went with Nuheat. Installation of the heated mats that I purchased required certification with the company, so Structura became certified installers of Nuheat systems. For the most part, it was a breeze, but there were some hiccups with the wiring after having the vinyl planks installed, but Kobi's team was able to rectify the issues whenever something came up. As for the soundproof wall, I did my own research on that, ordered the proper materials, and showed Kobi and his crew what I wanted done and how. They did an excellent job, with some guidance, and the wall that was constructed to my specifications and does what I wanted it to do-- to prevent me and my neighbor from hearing each other. Mind you, this was all done during the coronavirus pandemic, with all the lockdowns and social distancing guidelines being introduced. Kobi and his crew were able to adapt and adjust accordingly without too many delays. In addition to getting the work done, Kobi also helped me with financing portions of the project, so that was also very helpful. If you have a project you want done right, you shouldn't be afraid to contact Structura, because they are excellent at what they do. After getting a few quotes from several other remodeling companies, we decided to go with Structura Remodeling. The owner Kobi, met with us to go over what we wanted, and what our budget was. He was very knowledgeable and understanding, showing his professionalism and expertise in the remodeling business. He gave us various options and styles for remodeling our outdated main bathroom, he presented us with cost effective ways to obtain the desired look we wanted and most important while staying within our allotted budget. Working with him and his wife Maya (who handles the supply ordering, inspector arrangements, construction, plumbing and electrician staffing, and of course the bookkeeping details, etc.) was such a relief, knowing that all the behind the scenes details were being handled in a timely and efficient manner, while also keeping us informed of the various steps involved in our project. The work staff arrived on site promptly daily and were polite and courteous while wearing mask and gloves in accordance with the current pandemic situation. They went straight to work, provided protection for our wood floors and sealed off the construction area to reduce the dust from the rest of our home. They performed their duties effectively, and on time allowing the next phase of the remodeling to progress. I had been unhappy with my old kitchen for a long time. I needed more space. My son had a remodel in his house, and he encouraged me to go ahead and remodel my kitchen. He found several contractors to consider. He introduced me to Kobi, as Kobi had done his remodel. Of all the contractors I interviewed, Kobi was easily the first choice. He was understanding of my situations and patient when I had difficulty deciding. He worked with me to help me get what I wanted. Showed me design of several different ways to do the project the way I wanted. I reached out to Structura about a potential waterproofing project (replacing a number of windows and doors). They got back to me extremely quickly and took the time to carefully discuss the project and everything it would entail. Ultimately, they recommended that given the scope of the project, I go with someone who I had used previously to replace a balcony deck so there would be a single person responsible for all repairs. Turning away work is obviously not in their interest, nonetheless they took the time to carefully explain the relevant considerations to me and offer sound advice. I contacted Kobi about a possible project which was difficult to relay over the phone. He offered to assess the area in question and within 30 minutes of our phone conversation , was at my doorstep. Unfortunately, it was an insurmountable project ( enlargement of a hallway cabinet & reconverting to a wardrobe closet). So the funny thing about this review is that it took longer to write than it took Structura to bid and finish the job! That's on me. But in my defense this is going to be a long review, so for those who don't like to read too much, here is the bottom line: Kobi and Structura are AWESOME! They quickly identified issues and solved them fast. Juventito, the builder, always wore his mask and was extremely helpful making sure we got exactly what we wanted. The job was completed in 4 days and is AMAZING! I highly recommend Structura and Kobi! Ok, now for you folks like me the want more details: Our house was built in 1915 and is a beautifully Spanish stucco style. Whenever we update anything we try and keep with the style of the home and attention to detail. We needed to update our front yard fence, mainly because our puppy is now big enough to jump over it! Our plan was to replace the fence with a wall and extend our front yard out to the legal limit allowed in Hermosa Beach. Ah, plans...always easer than reality! More on that in a bit. Yelp has always been a tool I use to vet companies I am considering spending my hard earned money on. So when I saw Structura on Yelp I was impressed with what people said about Kobi and loved the photos of his work. I sent him some photos of our yard and asked for a quote. He responded in under 2 hours and was at my house the NEXT DAY! I can't tell you how impressed I was with that! Kobi showed up on time and he let my wife and I walk him thought our "plans" and let us explain every hope, dream and desire we had for our new front yard...he was extremely patient! When we were finished, he ran through a couple of options, but he stressed that all of those would be contingent on what an arborist had to say about our 40 year old liquid Amber Maple Tree in our front yard. I wouldn't have even thought that the tree would be an issue, but as Kobi stressed, "if we cut the roots to put a foundation for a wall, it could kill the tree". Luckily we do have an arborist that has worked with us on our 60 year old eucalyptus tree, so we sent him an email about our "plans". I can't thank Kobi enough, because our arborist said not only it could kill the tree, but it could fall over if we cut the roots!!! I can imagine that another contractor would just see $$$ and not care! I was totally sold on Kobi right there and then! So now the problem was, we can't do a wall and extend the front yard, we can only replace the fence on the existing foundation. This went from a big job, to a much smaller one and a lot trickier. Kobi came back over and he took our existing cement and brick and incorporated into what is now a beautiful fence...but there's more if you're still reading. We realized that from past work on our house that workers need to use the bathroom. We had no problem with that, in a non Covid life, but we haven't had close friends over since March! Kobi, without a beat said "I'll have a port-o-potty delivered before we start". He called later that evening and said a Potty was being delivered the next morning and that they will start demo the next day. From start to finish it was 4 days! The only reason it took 4 and not 3 was it rained on the 3rd day and they couldn't paint. Port-O_Potty was taken away on day 6 and we have been enjoying our awesome front yard!!!! I highly recommend Kobi and Structura! Professional, easy to communicate with and caring about my home. I hope to use him again soon on some other "ideas" we have. read more

Our condo was brand new, state-of-the-art when we moved in 30 plus years ago. Fast forward to the present and we agreed it was time to improve our home whether we were going to stay or increase its marketability and move on.. Either way the kitchen needed updating. We knew that would mean replacing cabinets, countertops, lighting, appliances and flooring. For years we talked about enlarging the opening between the kitchen and dining area and extending the counter to create an island type surface with 12" of knee space and room for 2 to 3 stools. It would let in natural light, create a sense of flow and spaciousness. We knew how we wanted it to look, the materials and finishes we liked. After all the thinking and talking it was time to take action! We did a search for contractors, found Structura Remodeling on Angi. A video review by a woman who'd recently had her kitchen remodeled by Structura gave us the confidence to move forward. We met with Kobi at 5:00pm on October 7th (2021) and by mid-day December 8th. we'd passed the final inspection and were shopping for shelf liner!  In between were photos, measurements, plans, permits pulled, renderings, demolition, updating electricity, installing new rigid vinyl plank "butterscotch oak" flooring (gorgeous!), 4" base, fresh coats of the most beautiful shade of white paint on walls, ceiling, doors ... all this and daily conversations with Kobi and Jessica. Communication was key. Managing all the moving parts. And hand holding as needed. Kobi was responsive, always available, encouraging, optimistic, involved.
