This all began with an idea between my wife and I. What if we could put a door where there wasn't one? Much like everyone who chooses to undergo house renovations, it can feel like a daunting task when starting out, but we can easily say that Structura and their staff made everything smooth, easy and worthwhile. Upon first meeting with their representative Ignacio, it was clear something was different; he took the time to explain the process to me in detail. Not only that but he challenged our vision of the idea for the better! Once we decided to contract with Structura, the whole process was surprisingly pleasant every step of the way; from using their online portal for payments and task tracking to the weekly, and when necessary daily, communication. While work was underway, their contractors were prompt and clean the entire time, even with an unexpected delay. In fact, one of the contractors needed to borrow a broom at one point and used a translation app on his phone to bridge our communication gap. Although their cost was a bit higher than we could have perhaps found elsewhere, my wife and I both feel like all of it was reflected in the quality of work, communication and outstanding results. Structura is now the first call we will make when it is time for our next house improvement. read more

This is our second time contracting with Structura to do work on our house. This second job was a replacement of our leaking, aging roof. We also have our HVAC unit on our roof with all of the ducting so it was not an easy job! Kobi and team did all of the coordination between the roofing team and the HVAC team and got everything done very efficiently and with expert skill. All work was permitted and they took care of everything. Highly recommend Kobi and the Structura team!! read more

I contacted Structura for a consultation. They scheduled a phone consultation for me and Kobi called and we talked things through. I described our issues (big drywall repair project in a unit with water damage) he was very honest and gave me great advice even though he told me that's not the kind of project he usually takes on (he is more of a remodeling contractor than repair). He gave me advice about how to get the work done in a cost effective manner and what to look for in a drywall repair/paint contractor. I really enjoyed our chat and would definitely consider Kobi and his team when it's time for a larger remodeling project. read more

We recently used Structura to remodel our kitchen and dining area. The whole process could not have gone smoother. Kobi and his team were a delight to work with - everyone was skilled, personable and professional. The project was done on time and on budget. There were no surprises. We had never done any kind of remodel and had no idea what to expect or where to begin. Kobi and his team took us by the hand and led us through the process. We always felt comfortable and informed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kobi and his team for any construction needs. We want him to do our roof next!! We are posting pictures. The remodel is gorgeous and you can see the results for yourself! read more

I can't say enough good things about Structura Remodeling ... I'd been thinking about remodeling a dated condo for awhile, but I really didn't know where to start. After calling around and doing a lot of research, I narrowed down the on site interviews to three finalists, but I knew immediately when I met with Kobi at that first meeting, Structura would be the way to go. He listened to me, and was prepared with and brought great ideas for ways to open up a small space. I had a bunch of random ideas of things I liked, and Maya, Jessica and their design team helped me focus those into a cohesive finished project design that looks incredible and has breathed new life into my space. One of my concerns was being in a condo building and having to live through a renovation, but the Structura team was sensitive to those concerns, and skillfully navigated the work, while being respectful of the other residents in the building. They dealt with the city and all the permitting, and really took the weight off my shoulders. Kobi, Maya, Jessica and their entire team all knocked it out of the park. They're great to work with ... professional, respectful and responsive. If you've been thinking about updating your home, this is the team to go with. read more

Thank you so much to the amazing team at Structura remodeling!! We appreciate your professionalism and dedication to our project

Structura Remodeling is owned by Kobi. He is honest, caring and above all else knows what he is doing. His office manager, Carlos, is equally knowledgeable and agreeable to work with. It was expensive but worth every dollar. Why was it worth it? We did not have to schedule or find the craftsman to do the work for us. We did not have to worry whether or not the scheduled workers would show. We did not have to worry whether the workmanship would be good enough. We did not have to worry about clean up. The craftsmen were all professional and knew what they were doing. When the city came to approve, they were all smiles and immediately approved the project. In other words, we did not have to worry about anything. Our kitchen turned out gorgeous beyond our wildest dreams. Yes, if you are thinking about remodeling, Structura is the company for you. read more

We have been getting quotes for a patio cover and deck remodel. Structura set up a call quickly, but then after describing in detail the scope of the project, ended up quoting me only a "rough guesstimate" that was more than two times what 3 other companies quoted me. I asked a few follow up questions and they didn't respond to them. I'm assuming, based on the experience, and some others posted here, that they are quick to hop on calls but when it comes down to actually providing services, slow down substantially or put "smaller" (under 30k) jobs on the backburner. read more

Structura did a great bathroom remodel for us. Our house is more than 70 years old, and the bath was 1960s-era and really needed an update. We wanted to remove the old tub, and create a large shower area with no glass so we could (someday, if needed) roll a wheelchair right into the wash area. Kobi and his designer quickly came up with a plan and provided a materials list of the items we needed to buy. A detailed inspection revealed the floor joists were smaller than expected, which required a change because our desired slope wasn't possible. Kobi's team quickly came up with 3 options for dealing with it, and waited patiently while my wife and I considered the options. It took us a few weeks but once we decided, Kobi promptly proposed a start date. They worked fast, and I had to shop quickly to get the items here when needed. They removed all the old fixtures, replaced damaged studs and joists, created a new floor slope, installed new floor and wall tile, tankless water heater (with updated gas line), vanity, toilet, shower set, recessed medicine cabinet, fan, new door, new outlet, moved the electrical switches, fixed built-in cabinets, and painted. Construction start-to-end was about 5 weeks, which included inspections by the city. The bathroom looks great; clean and modern, but also simple and not ostentatious. Just the way we wanted it. Structura did a great job. They communicate very well, answer the phone when you call them, and provide regular updates. I will contact them again the next time we are considering a project. read more

I spoke with 2 different employees who asked multiple times if it was ok if I made decisions without my male partner present and kept asking if we should reschedule until he could be there regardless of how many times I assured them that I am capable of making decisions on my own. We all know they wouldn't be asking my partner these questions if I wasn't available to attend the consult. I was also asked very personal career questions about my partner and myself. It was a thinly veiled attempt at seeming warm, though it was asked so awkwardly that it was obviously to gauge our financial situation. The "specialist" was extremely disinterested in anything else I had to say. He spoke over me and kept referring to the image of my home he found on google street view despite the house not being visible from the street. Unfortunately, this industry is notoriously sexist and Structura Remodeling is no exception. read more

Jessica and her team completed a fascinating bathroom transformation for me. She is very reliable and thorough. Kobi has an amazing eye for detail that is on the brink of perfectionism. I called Structura Remodeling about a potential bathroom addition to a future purchase. Not only did they actually answer the phone, but Kobi discussed my project ideas in great detail. We discussed many different property styles and additions, and with so many unknowns, Kobi did a great job of giving me ballpark pricing with the information I provided. I appreciate the time given to me to explain the costs analysis between a few properties we have in mind. If it gets there, I will absolutely call Structura for quotes. read more

We had such an incredible experience working with Kobi and his team! We were brand new homeowners with zero experience and our new home needed a LOT of work. From the beginning, Kobi was up front, honest and so great at explaining everything and what the costs might be. They ended up creating and building our dream kitchen ( just look at the before and after photos!). They also extended our living room and created an entirely new front entrance of our home! I didn't think our little fixer upper house could be this beautiful. Kobi is also easy to reach and always there if you have any questions. He also has a great team to keep everything on track and moving forward. Would definitely recommend to anyone! read more

After getting a few quotes from several other remodeling companies, we decided to go with Structura Remodeling. The owner Kobi, met with us to go over what we wanted, and what our budget was. He was very knowledgeable and understanding, showing his professionalism and expertise in the remodeling business. He gave us various options and styles for remodeling our outdated main bathroom, he presented us with cost effective ways to obtain the desired look we wanted and most important while staying within our allotted budget. Working with him and his wife Maya (who handles the supply ordering, inspector arrangements, construction, plumbing and electrician staffing, and of course the bookkeeping details, etc.) was such a relief, knowing that all the behind the scenes details were being handled in a timely and efficient manner, while also keeping us informed of the various steps involved in our project. The work staff arrived on site promptly daily and were polite and courteous while wearing mask and gloves in accordance with the current pandemic situation. They went straight to work, provided protection for our wood floors and sealed off the construction area to reduce the dust from the rest of our home. They performed their duties effectively, and on time allowing the next phase of the remodeling to progress. This being our first home project and our home was built in 1949, made us a bit nervous, but the experience with Structura Remodeling was a memorable and very positive one. We will most definitely be a returning customer, as we have more home remodeling projects planned ahead. Thank-you Kobi & Maya!!!! read more

I typically don't write reviews, but I wanted to share that Kobi and his crew are very good at their jobs and are very adaptable when it comes to unexpected curveballs. Kobi is very detail oriented in his approach to everything. He makes sure that he understands what you're looking for and confirms exactly what is expected. There is no ambiguity when getting things done. At the beginning of 2020, I had just purchased a new house that needed some renovations done. I initially contacted Structura to replace the carpet on my stairs and the entire 2nd floor (excluding bathrooms) with vinyl planks and in-floor heating, which they had never done before. Then I started adding other projects, which included moving and adding light switches around the house, replacing lighting fixtures, patching drywall (after I decided to run ethernet cable all over the house), and constructing a soundproof wall in the master bedroom (after I found out that it was practically paper thin when it came to sound attenuation), which they also never did before. When it came to the heated floors, after doing thorough research, I went with Nuheat. Installation of the heated mats that I purchased required certification with the company, so Structura became certified installers of Nuheat systems. For the most part, it was a breeze, but there were some hiccups with the wiring after having the vinyl planks installed, but Kobi's team was able to rectify the issues whenever something came up. As for the soundproof wall, I did my own research on that, ordered the proper materials, and showed Kobi and his crew what I wanted done and how. They did an excellent job, with some guidance, and the wall that was constructed to my specifications and does what I wanted it to do-- to prevent me and my neighbor from hearing each other. Mind you, this was all done during the coronavirus pandemic, with all the lockdowns and social distancing guidelines being introduced. Kobi and his crew were able to adapt and adjust accordingly without too many delays. In addition to getting the work done, Kobi also helped me with financing portions of the project, so that was also very helpful. If you have a project you want done right, you shouldn't be afraid to contact Structura, because they are excellent at what they do. Don't be afraid to point out any errors, as Kobi will be happy to correct them if pointed out. read more

I had been unhappy with my old kitchen for a long time. I needed more space. My son had a remodel in his house, and he encouraged me to go ahead and remodel my kitchen. He found several contractors to consider. He introduced me to Kobi, as Kobi had done his remodel. Of all the contractors I interviewed, Kobi was easily the first choice. He was understanding of my situations and patient when I had difficulty deciding. He worked with me to help me get what I wanted. Showed me design of several different ways to do the project the way I wanted. We completely gutted the kitchen, and took out a wall, which made a big difference in giving me more room and open space. We also did new flooring through out the house, insulation and rewired part of the house which was the old original wires and put in a new electrical panel. Communication was great, as I had Carlos thr project coordinator whom I could call with any concerns.I now have a beautiful kitchen that has more space and is more modern! I would recommend Kobi and his team, to anyone who wants to do a remodel of any size! read more

I reached out to Structura about a potential waterproofing project (replacing a number of windows and doors). They got back to me extremely quickly and took the time to carefully discuss the project and everything it would entail. Ultimately, they recommended that given the scope of the project, I go with someone who I had used previously to replace a balcony deck so there would be a single person responsible for all repairs. Turning away work is obviously not in their interest, nonetheless they took the time to carefully explain the relevant considerations to me and offer sound advice. Seems like they are very honest and straightforward, which is not easy to find. read more

I contacted Kobi about a possible project which was difficult to relay over the phone. He offered to assess the area in question and within 30 minutes of our phone conversation , was at my doorstep. Unfortunately, it was an insurmountable project ( enlargement of a hallway cabinet & reconverting to a wardrobe closet). That,he said, would compromise the integrity & structure of the wall and which could potentially end up costing thousands of dollars. I was fortunate to deal with an individual who was up front & trustworthy and who understands the complexity of conversion. read more

Structura Remodeling performed our much-needed bathroom renovation. To put it simply, the work was excellent and the experience the best I have had in any renovation project to date. Kobi was very clear in the planning stages, discussing the scope of work, laying out the timeline, and introducing me to our main construction team, Irma and Rubin. The team was polite, conscientious, meticulous, and clearly skilled in their work. Kobi was physically present on site almost every day of the project and I felt we worked as a team to figure out any questions or complications we encountered along the way. My design for our small bathroom was slightly unconventional (a freestanding tub as a tub/shower combination in the space of a typical alcove) and required some creative thinking, but it all came together and the result is fantastic. I highly recommend Structura Remodeling. read more

My initial interaction with Structura Remodeling was very negative. They claimed my phone went to vmail, so I messaged them to reconnect. So the funny thing about this review is that it took longer to write than it took Structura to bid and finish the job! That's on me. But in my defense this is going to be a long review, so for those who don't like to read too much, here is the bottom line: Kobi and Structura are AWESOME! They quickly identified issues and solved them fast. Juventito, the builder, always wore his mask and was extremely helpful making sure we got exactly what we wanted. The job was completed in 4 days and is AMAZING! I highly recommend Structura and Kobi! Ok, now for you folks like me the want more details: Our house was built in 1915 and is a beautifully Spanish stucco style. Whenever we update anything we try and keep with the style of the home and attention to detail. We needed to update our front yard fence, mainly because our puppy is now big enough to jump over it! Our plan was to replace the fence with a wall and extend our front yard out to the legal limit allowed in Hermosa Beach. Ah, plans...always easer than reality! More on that in a bit. Yelp has always been a tool I use to vet companies I am considering spending my hard earned money on. So when I saw Structura on Yelp I was impressed with what people said about Kobi and loved the photos of his work. I sent him some photos of our yard and asked for a quote. He responded in under 2 hours and was at my house the NEXT DAY! I can't tell you how impressed I was with that! Kobi showed up on time and he let my wife and I walk him thought our "plans" and let us explain every hope, dream and desire we had for our new front yard...he was extremely patient! When we were finished, he ran through a couple of options, but he stressed that all of those would be contingent on what an arborist had to say about our 40 year old liquid Amber Maple Tree in our front yard. I wouldn't have even thought that the tree would be an issue, but as Kobi stressed, "if we cut the roots to put a foundation for a wall, it could kill the tree". Luckily we do have an arborist that has worked with us on our 60 year old eucalyptus tree, so we sent him an email about our "plans". I can't thank Kobi enough, because our arborist said not only it could kill the tree, but it could fall over if we cut the roots!!! I can imagine that another contractor would just see $$$ and not care! I was totally sold on Kobi right there and then! So now the problem was, we can't do a wall and extend the front yard, we can only replace the fence on the existing foundation. This went from a big job, to a much smaller one and a lot trickier. Kobi came back over and he took our existing cement and brick and incorporated into what is now a beautiful fence...but there's more if you're still reading. We realized that from past work on our house that workers need to use the bathroom. We had no problem with that, in a non Covid life, but we haven't had close friends over since March! Kobi, without a beat said "I'll have a port-o-potty delivered before we start". He called later that evening and said a Potty was being delivered the next morning and that they will start demo the next day. From start to finish it was 4 days! The only reason it took 4 and not 3 was it rained on the 3rd day and they couldn't paint. Port-O_Potty was taken away on day 6 and we have been enjoying our awesome front yard!!!! I highly recommend Kobi and Structura! Professional, easy to communicate with and caring about my home. I hope to use him again soon on some other "ideas" we have. read more

I'm not really big on writing online reviews, but I do believe in sharing the positive experiences when a business provides exceptional services. We hired Kobi's company for our master bathroom renovation. I reached out to Kobi as one of my neighbors used them to remodel their kitchen and bathroom and only had nice things to say about them. Kobi was very straight forward and up front during the initial phone call and provided us with a reasonable estimate for our bathroom remodel. I knew immediately he would be the contractor we were looking for. I met with approximately 6-7 general contractors for our bathroom remodel prior to talking to Kobi and was simply skeptical or tired of their sales spiels and unrealistic price quotes. Our project manager was very pleasant to work with and came by almost on a daily basis to oversee work progress. Ruben was the guy who did majority of the remodeling work and boy was he phenomenal! Very professional and knowledgable, he knew exactly what he was doing, did not cut corners and paid attention to a lot of details. We had a pleasant experience working with everyone on the team throughout the entire process and couldn't be happier with how the master bathroom turned out. I would highly recommend Structura Remodeling to anyone who is looking for a reliable contractor. read more

Our condo was brand new, state-of-the-art when we moved in 30 plus years ago. Fast forward to the present and we agreed it was time to improve our home whether we were going to stay or increase its marketability and move on.. Either way the kitchen needed updating. We knew that would mean replacing cabinets, countertops, lighting, appliances and flooring. For years we talked about enlarging the opening between the kitchen and dining area and extending the counter to create an island type surface with 12" of knee space and room for 2 to 3 stools. It would let in natural light, create a sense of flow and spaciousness. We knew how we wanted it to look, the materials and finishes we liked. After all the thinking and talking it was time to take action! We did a search for contractors, found Structura Remodeling on Angi. A video review by a woman who'd recently had her kitchen remodeled by Structura gave us the confidence to move forward. We met with Kobi at 5:00pm on October 7th (2021) and by mid-day December 8th. we'd passed the final inspection and were shopping for shelf liner!  In between were photos, measurements, plans, permits pulled, renderings, demolition, updating electricity, installing new rigid vinyl plank "butterscotch oak" flooring (gorgeous!), 4" base, fresh coats of the most beautiful shade of white paint on walls, ceiling, doors ... all this and daily conversations with Kobi and Jessica. Communication was key. Managing all the moving parts. And hand holding as needed. Kobi was responsive, always available, encouraging, optimistic, involved. Both he and Jessica advocated for us to make sure we got what we wanted. Jessica kept things going with her focused organizational skills: the crew, scheduling, listening. Patience. And the hand-holding thing. We're so pleased with the results. We put our trust in Structura and they delivered. Thanks, Tom and Darra B. Yes. They earned our trust. Yes. They did a good job responding to us. read more

We hired Structura for a relatively small job, just a minor renovation of 1 bathroom and repainting our other bathroom. We were pleased that we seemed to get the same attention and expertise from their team that they would offer to larger jobs. We received design suggestions from Kobi, the head of the company; frequent visits and oversight from Ignacio, the foreman; scheduling and organizational input from Jessica, the production manager; and most of all, expert craftsmanship from Manny, who did most of the actual work. Manny demonstrated skill on a variety of tasks--painting, tile repair, refinishing a vanity cabinet, and installing a light fixture. I think it very rare that one can truthfully say that dealing with a contractor is a genuine pleasure. But that is what we say about our experience having Structura Remodeling handle the remodel of our bathroom shower. The owner, Kobi, and his team are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and on time. Communication is handled easily and quickly for all issues. We wanted our old shower to be enlarged and made much safer for us as we remain in place into our 80's. The work was begun and finished on time.
