Oasis took on the complex job of expanding our 1925 Spanish revival home while honoring our wishes to keep many existing elements and aesthetics of the period. Complications with the city and LADWP made things take much longer than they anticipated, but they were communicative and patient the whole way through. These are the only people I know in the construction business who don't drop all communications for what seems like an eternity. When some things went wrong, they were very generous with their time and managing the costs of solutions. And when it came to details, they absolutely want their clients to be happy. The only complaint would be that sometimes they aren't upfront about the cost that certain surprises would be--sometimes we thought a modification wouldn't be at additional cost but then we were billed. Still this is very solve-able by just asking initially--they will always be transparent about price, and honestly very very fair. I hired Oasis Builders to for my renovation project after interviewing 7 contractors. Neev struck out when he showed to be cautious and not over promising with his bids and estimates, and he had A LOT of portfolio. I also liked that Neev is the owner of Oasis which means I won't have to jump through hoops to get a hold of him. My project was quite a complicated one. It involved a kitchen, two full bathrooms and a powder room. It also includes removing a structural wall. As soon as we got the permit (which was a very smooth process, I felt like Neev did not waste a day letting me know what stage the permit application was at), the construction went by FAST. During the rough-ins, there was not a week that went by without workers on site. I felt like Neev did his best to schedule every trade down to the T. We passed all inspections and every subcontractor I spoke to loved working with Neev. Also, the subs were EXTREMELY NICE!! I really appreciate them and feel that they really care about the quality of their work. I especially love his tiler, Juan, who did an amazing job on tiling and I can't be happy enough about the result! During the finishing material stage, we had some issues with the flooring and railings due to miscommunication, but Neev held himself responsible throughout the process. I totally understand that construction is full of surprises but the way Neev deals with them makes me feel that they are not here to finish things and get paid. Their priority is to do things right and have a quality result that they can be proud of. To this I can say that it is probably the best quality anyone needs in a contractor, someone who holds themselves at high standards and think of the project like their own. Some other notable things from my experience is that Neev is a really resourceful guy. He helped me final a prior permit (the previous owner of the house had a kitchen remodel permit that was never finaled because the inspections didn't pass..), he got me a ton of discount on finishing materials, and his wife, Mai, is an interior designer and consulted us on color combinations and material selection. Neev has been as responsive four months after we moved in as the first day of the project. Any questions we had along the way, he never left us hanging and always made sure to follow up. Finally, Neev is flexible to work with. I told him that we wanted to move in by a certain date, and we didn't mind if there was still work that needed to be done. Neev really cared about us moving into a finished product, so he went guns blazing pouring all of his resources during the last few weeks so work would be done and professional cleaners could do a final cleanup before we moved in. It was truly unbelievable the length the team went to to finish the project. We've been in the house for four months now and everything looks great and works great. I hired Oasis Builders for a master bathroom renovation (and some smaller upgrades to my guest bathroom) in a condo. Prior to hiring Neev and the team at Oasis, I spoke to over 8 different contractors. Initially I had surveyed 4 contractors, narrowed it down to two and then privately messaged some reviewers on Yelp. When the feedback came back lukewarm, I restarted my search and spoke to 4 more contractors before deciding on Oasis. From the start, Neev struck me as extremely thoughtful, skilled, and straightforward. When I had first moved into my condo, I had repainted (loved my painter) and refinished + added hardwood floors (my experience there was less positive). I really wanted to make sure I didn't repeat that experience. For me it was important that the individual was on time, professional, that communication was clear and that I could trust the information I was being given. Neev checked all those boxes. I was looking into remodeling my run down , sad looking kitchen and started my search for a contractor . After meeting and interviewing several contractors , I decided to go with Oasis Builders. He is personable, reasonable, detailed, and sets well-grounded expectations. Neev is a great project manager and communicator! He was always available and made sure we always knew what to expect. Oasis Builders provides you with a shopping list for kitchen remodels that includes all appliances, tile, and items like the sink, faucet, etc., so you do have some homework. But if you stick with Neev's timeline, you can still have your remodel done and ready-to-use within the projected timeframe despite the pandemic and supply chain woes. As with any good contractor, he recommended various vendors. All the ones that we interacted with were professional and easy to work with. The workmanship was great and I can't say enough nice things about the tile guy. Each crew Neev sent to our home was courteous and explained the work they completed. I haven't actually used them so it isn't fully fair for me to do an actual "review" of their services. The work they perform may be really good and it seems like from the reviews it is. I did want to warn everyone that they charge about $50,000 for one small bathroom before materials (so before tile, toilets, fixtures, shower heads, final paint colors, and flooring are purchased and installed) and only do a "full remodel" of the bathroom. I couldn't quite understand why it would cost $50,000 to remove the existing tile, a toilet, unscrew a vanity from the wall pipe, and pull out an existing tub, and the person I spoke to couldn't really explain it to me either. I think the job has a base cost no matter what work they're performing on your bathroom and if it isn't $50,000, they'll charge $50,000 anyway because that's what is worth their time. It's fair that they were upfront about it. But unless you want to pay $50,000 for someone to knock down the tile in your shower and unscrew your vanity from the wall, this probably isn't the right company. A company that is willing to do partial or whatever you want is probably a better choice. Personally, I felt uncomfortable that the response I got when I asked why it would cost $50,000 to remove old tile and the toilet without changing any pipes or locations of anything in the bathroom was "There are things you wouldn't understand and I can't take the time to explain it to you," made me feel weird and I don't think they were interested in having me as a client. But if you do want to spend $75,000 to put in new tile, a new toilet, and a new bathtub, and paint your walls, I am sure they do an excellent job. read more

When we met Neev we liked him immediately. We soon knew that we had our contractor. He listened, offered suggestions and explained the process. And the result of that meeting was that we got the kitchen that we asked for. Neev excels in communication, always informing us as to the what and when.
