The construction workers for Manchen are very professional and talented. The company removed all of the old "popcorn " ceilings from the 1980s and installed this planked ceiling in the living room. We had them replace track lighting with canister lights in the bedroom and hallways. While they were not the "cheapest" of the estimates, one has to remember that "you get what you pay for!" The quality of the workmanship is extraordinary. We were pleased with the final outcome. Communication with the project manager is key and this company stands by this! Manchen did a great job of taking on a project that seemed unwieldy. Our condo had extensive water damage, and we had previously interviewed several general contractors--one who rejected the project because of the HOA's rules, another who wrote a sloppy proposal, others who were too busy, and others who didn't respond after our initial contact. A great selling point of Manchen is that they could refinish our cabinets which took down the cost substantially. They did a beautiful job making our cabinets look like new. Ethan Lesin communicated with us about everything, was on top of everything, and made sure we were happy with their work. He addressed work that wasn't on the contract, like fixing our hamper for free and painting an additional wall. He made excellent suggestions for lighting in the kitchen, which improved the look of the kitchen. The degree to which he was attentive to paint touch-ups was above and beyond because they came back a few times to touch up areas they had already done. And he figured out how to add an electrical outlet in a place that we had always wanted but everyone we had asked previously had said it couldn't be done. Owner Chen Turgeman managed 3 projects at my home. The first initial project was a replacement fence. The new fence was quickly constructed with better quality than expected. Recommendations were provided to enhance the look of the fence and the construction was completed in less than six hours. The next major project was a full kitchen renovation. The result of the remodel was again more than I expected. The re-construction resulted in an error being made on the removal of a support beam. The company took full responsibility for the error and replaced a support beam to satisfy the required inspection. The result provided me with a fully open concept kitchen and dining room. The third project was a recommendation from the company to upgrade and replace an accent brick wall in my living room. The new stack stone wall provides a more beautiful cohesive look to my home. All work was performed according to the contract price. The timeline was longer than initially estimated.
