I had a small job to texture and paint a portion of my wall that had undergone repair work. My biggest concern was matching the orange peel texture pattern to the existing adjacent walls in the room. Wow... absolutely AMAZING!! Kariem and Debra are an incredible team and we are so happy with our project. We had major drywall repair needed in our garage, as we had electric work done and our walls needed to be opened up, and it was extra tricky because the conduit behind bumped up against sections of the drywall. They handled the work beautifully, and were able to repair it with incredible attention to detail; the paint matching and texture matching is so good, you'd have to know there was an issue to tell that it's been repaired at all! We also had them repaint a room that had been painted poorly; the previous painter didn't prep the room correctly, which meant we had peeling issues, and a section with old water stains and holes from a wall-mounted bookshelf. The door to the room had been removed, leaving large gaps in the arch, and that was refinished and looks so fresh and modern now. They were able to correct all previous work and paint the surface, and throughout the process kept us well informed for decisions they were making and small details to make things look nice as possible. Beyond that, they were some of the most knowledgable, kind, and thorough vendors we've ever worked with, and cannot recommend them enough. Long overdue review on these guys, sorry Kariem and Debra! We hired Tenacious Touchups for our 2200 sq feet painting job. We were putting in new flooring and replacing some drywall, which meant new baseboards. We were also crazy enough to have an accent wall in every room (which, by the way, double the amount of taping required for painting). We obtained 3 quotes for painting and Kariem's was the highest. But he and Debra were so thorough in their initial quote process that we felt they would do the best job instead of just rolling paint on the walls. And we were right. Let me list off the things they did that were above and beyond what I expected: 1) they worked nights and some really long days (20+ hours once) to make our schedule work 2) they came in before the job started to detach the baseboards to minimize damage to our walls 3) they fixed a gazillion holes and patches in our walls without complaint 4) painted all trim, doors, nooks and crannies 5) they had to re paint one wall a couple times due to some bad paint, but didn't add charges for that 6) they covered the floors for other contractors that helped save our new delicate flower of a floor (walnut is a very soft floor as I recently learned) 7) they had to practically restore a door and door jam because of some weird plaster/drywall work Overall, I really hope I don't have another renovation anytime soon. But I would recommend tenacious Touchups to everyone. Anyone can put paint on the walls, but the level of detailing here was excellent. read more
