Best service !!!! Always on time and the best work. Respectful and honest. Thank you!

LaVie is a terrific company with a wonderful owner.I finally have the beautiful bathroom I wanted. Large tiles and a doorless glass wall. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. The whole team kept the area clean and completed the work on time. I know it's not easy finding a contractor you can truly trust but this company exceeded my expectations. read more

I bought a place in Los Angeles that required some major renovations before moving in and the team at Lavie made things really easy for me to manage everything remotely. They were good about managing expectations as well as problem solving with me as obstacles arose during the project (as normally happens during any construction project). The building itself had a lot of limitations but in the end they were able to pull everything together beautifully! I really liked that all I had to do was pick the design, the finishes and appliances and then all I did was step back and allow them to work their magic. When I started the project I thought I would be making some basic changes and the result was a dream kitchen that I absolutely love! read more

UPDATE on 7/9: Rome reached out to me after Doni read the review. He apologized for the poor experience with the communication and apologized for canceling. He did go on to state that it is their policy to not provide quotes to those who are in escrow. That kind of policy makes sense, and I totally respect it; however, I do wish this was communicated from the very beginning. Because of Rome's efforts to reach back out, I have decided to upgrade this review from 2 stars to 3 stars. Again, I never hired La Vie, so this review is specifically related to my experience with the communication, the appointment scheduling, and the subsequent cancellation from La Vie due to 2 new projects that were considered a priority. Original Review 7/8: I was looking for a construction company to help me with a home remodel and addition. As recommended by friends and family, I first wanted to put together a good comprehensive list of GCs to meet with so that we could walk through the project vision and get a general ball park quote. I do want to clarify that I did not select La Vie for the remodel work mainly due to the fact that they don't respond or get back to you when they do promise to. I called their main number and connected with a person named, "Rome." He told me about how he's been in the construction industry for many years and how the company owner, "Doni," is the GC with many years of experience. Rome inquired into the remodel that I had envisioned and informed me that it would be good to have a GC/PM come meet me at my home to walk through everything. I agreed. Rome then said he would need to check with the GC's schedule to see when he would be available to meet with me, and would call me back once he was able to discuss the background of the project with the owner. Two days later, I still did not hear from Rome, Doni, or the GC. So I called the company hotline again and Rome picked up. He remembered who I was and acknowledged that it had slipped his mind to talk to Doni, so he said he would do that an call me back. A few hours later, Rome called and asked me if I was available in a few days to meet with the GC, Boris. The day and time didn't work for me, but I could move some things around just to make it work, so I told Rome to pencil it in. The day of the appointment, I received a call from Rome. He mentioned that they just signed a couple new clients and had to get started on some work so they would have to cancel the appointment and would call me back later on to reschedule. Not sure how to rate this one, but I think 2 stars is fair for the following reasons: - I had to call and follow up because they forgot to get back to me - I moved my schedule around and they ended up canceling the appointment on me - After canceling, they did not bother to follow up with me read more

Wasted my time. Took other jobs and canceled appointments that were set; which is difficult for me because of brain damage and life long chronic pain. Basically a liar and a weasel. No wonder they don't have a license. read more

Took care of my inquiries best than the rest. Until now they are diligently looking at the project and my utmost thank you

We recently hired Lavie to completely redo our primary bathroom. Boris was assigned to manage our project, and I couldn't have asked for anybody better! I've always heard terrible things about contractors, so we went into the project skeptical. But Boris and Lavie were outstanding to work with! Boris was extremely responsive and helpful with all aspects of the bathroom. He helped source the materials based on our vision, gave us weekly schedules for when his crew would be over, and stuck to the timeline we agreed upon. I couldn't be more happy with the results, and would recommend Boris to Lavie to all. Additionally, while we hired them on to do the bathroom, there were several other smaller projects that we had on our to do list. We asked Boris if he could help out, and he had his crew over within days to take on the additional work we requested. The customer service was unreal and we are extremely happy with the results! read more

I wanted to make a few changes at my home, I just wanted it to look different, so I decided that I wanted to remodel the fireplace as I would be spending a lot of time in that area of the home. Added to that I thought it would be good to make changes in the yard. I called the La Vie Construction Company after I found their website on the internet. They sent Isaac to manage the project. He knew exactly what I would like and he and his crew went to work quickly. Now I have a great looking fireplace and my front and back yard has lovely flowers and other plants. They used all the decorative lamps and they used bricks as well to change the look of the place. I am very pleased with the job they did. Well done, I would recommend them to anyone who needs to make changes to their home. read more

The house needed to be remodeled and the doors needed to be changed. The contractors who did the job did not know what they were doing and everything needed to be redone. I was so frustrated and I told my friends about my problems. They decided to get the best contractors in the construction business for me. They gave me the number for La Vie Construction and I contacted them. They wasted no time, the assessment was done and the quotation was ready in  3 days. We worked out the details and Doni managed the project, he brought in his team and replaced all the doors and locks. Everything was done to the whole house, so I could forget the bad experience I had in the past. I am glad I found this company and I will be calling them again if there is anything that needs fixing at my home. read more

After long research we found Lavie Construction and we are glad we did! Our 35 years old kitchen was desperate for a redo and we initially looked for a separate designer and contractor for our project but then we found Lavie Construction, they did the design for us and showed us on a computer how it will look like, we loved the design and price was in line of others so we pulled the trigger. 4 weeks later we received a beautiful kitchen! read more

We wanted to remodel our kitchen plus our three bathrooms. I also wanted a concrete deck in our backyard. I got referred to La Vie Construction by a friend of mine, and they soon after got in touch with me. After our initial call, they got back to me with a very reasonable quote. The Project manager Doni was very easygoing and, a true professional. I'm so happy with how everything worked out. It feels like we moved to a brand new house. read more

We used Doni's team for a bathroom remodel in our new apartment. We were first time home buyers and first time construction people and Doni made the process very easy and transparent. His team was always on time. We also had a strict timeline because the building we moved to has holiday construction rules and he finished ahead of schedule and was very honest about the timeline. He gave excellent recommendations for vendors and did a very great job. No corners cut. We are going to use him for some other projects like window installation and other things in the future. Very happy with Doni's team. read more

I had problems with the electricity in my home, it seems as if the wires were old and the lights would flicker from time to time. I was afraid that there could be a fire at any time, so I would not turn on the lights unless I really had to. I told a friend of mine about the problem and he recommended La Vie Construction. He said he know they would do a good job, as he had known of someone who had a similar problem and this company had sent their workmen to fix the problem and now everything was great, with the electricity in that house. I called and spoke to them and they quickly came and did their assessment and told me what was causing the problem. We made all the necessary arrangements and Alex the Project Manager and his team rewired the whole house and upgraded the panel to 200 amps. Now I have no problems, I don't need to worry about putting out a fire. read more

I had no room for guests at my house and I had no idea where my family would stay especially during long holiday visits. I heard my neighbours just added an extra room to their house and I asked them how they like the end result and obviously who got it done. They happily recommended me La Vie Construction. I called them in to get assessment and quotation. Doni managed the project - he brought his team and they did all the electrical, plumbing and masonry. Now I have a lovely guest room, my relatives have come to visit many times since then. They did a great job for very reasonable price. I do highly recommend La Vie Construction to everyone! read more

I wanted a Sunroom to be added at the back of my house, so I could have a place to relax when I wanted to enjoy the evening breeze. A friend of mine had found this wonderful Construction Company and she was satisfied with the service the provided and I wanted to see if they would do a good job for me as well. That's why I didn't bother to shop around when I was ready to get the Sunroom built, I just called La Vie Construction. After they gave me the quote and everything was in place, Doni the project manager guided his team well, and in a short time my sunroom was ready. It was just what I wanted, it is nicely furnished and the added the perfect plants to create a lovely ambiance. Well Done, I am a satisfied customer! read more

I am a home owner in West Hollywood and I must say I was a bit nervous when I decided to sign a contract with La Vie Construction, as I didn't know what to expect. I just wanted to get the remodeling done and I decided that I wouldn't waste time. However when they were finished with the job, I had nothing to complain about, as it was nice to see the great work that was done in the 2 bathrooms ( 1 master 1 guest) and the kitchen that was remodeled. The best quality plumbing fixtures were used, the tiles they chose were just perfect and I really like the new look. Now that I have seen the work they have done, I would recommend them to everyone who needs to do remodeling in their home. They did a good job for me. read more

When I wanted to convert my garage to a studio unit, as I wanted to rent a part of my home and earn additional income. I contacted La Vie Construction. It wasn't long before they came to visit my home and did the assessment. After that they gave me a quote and when all the arrangements were made, Doni the Project Manager brought in the workmen. They worked every day until the project was complete, I couldn't believe the place could be transformed in such a short time. I liked the way they just knew how to do their jobs and they worked with me whenever I needed any changes to be made at anytime. I am glad I chose this company and I will be calling them again whenever I am in need of their services. read more

Scheduled a consultation twice only to have them both cancelled last minute. Not professional and put me in a bind.

What I appreciated about Lavie Construction was their adaptability and responsiveness throughout our kitchen remodeling project. We were indecisive and we know that can be difficult and unsettling to work with. But despite that, Lavie Construction remained loyal and patient to our project. Thankfully, that made our kitchen turn out beautifully. The theme we ended up choosing was marble. The marble theme compliments the rest of our kitchen exceptionally well. They outdid themselves on this project! Would hire again! read more

We worked with Lavie construction to remodel our kitchen, a master bathroom and a guest bathroom. Together we designed the kitchen and the bathrooms and the results exceeded our expectations. Aside from the end result, I appreciate the process and the relationship we have with Doni. A home renovation can be quite stressful, but they worked through the process with us openly. There also were no hidden costs at the end of project and if any extra costs were going to come up - Doni always gave us different cost options. All the workers were professional, courteous and explained to us each day what they were there to do. We were constantly communicating and nothing was ever hidden from us. Whenever I had a concern or question I could always text them. If they had a concern, it was always brought to our attention. I highly recommend them. read more

Getting things done in my kitchen was almost impossible, as nothing seemed to work anymore. It was so frustrating to deal with all the problems every day, the leaking faucets and the appliances that didn't work properly anymore, made me feel miserable. However after I went to visit a friend and heard her talking about how impressed she was with the La Vie Construction Company, because they had done such a good job at her home. I could see how great her kitchen was looking and I decided to give them a call. Now I am a satisfied customer, as my kitchen feels brand new, they replaced my old appliances after they remodeled my kitchen. The Project Manager, Alex and his team has transformed my life, as I don't have the stress I had before, when I would worry about my water bill, the faucets are no longer leaking. read more

I try to do my own repairs, sometimes I need professional help. These guys are the greatest. Rome at the desk answers immediately, or responds to a message reliably. Boris, the work manager gives an accurate assessment and advice. The price was right for installing 800llb of woo d fencing & gate, workers were dedicated. Fence and gate much more attractive & stable than the original. Started on time and finished & cleaned up in 2 days. I'll call them first for future work. read more

Whenever we need work done on our home we call Doni at Lavie Construction. We have used them in the past and have always been happy, they do excellent work and they have excellent customer service. They call back right away and are quick to resolve any issue. When we get compliments on our home we respond with, we have a great contractor. I am happy to recommend Lavie Construction to anyone who is looking for a reliable contractor. Excellent work, excellent customer service! Thank you Doni! read more

We engaged LaVie construction to tile our deck and resurface our pool. We met multiple times with Doni who was initially very responsive. Unfortunately, the start date for the job kept getting pushed. Finally, Doni stopped answering our calls without any indication as to why. We are now stuck with 3300 sqft of ceramic tiles that Doni told us to purchase. We agree with another review that it is probably a blessing that LaVie did not start the job considering their lack of professionalism and trustworthiness. Do not sign a contract with LaVie under any circumstances. read more

They were fast to respond, got their name through Houzz website. Had a roofing issue. Their quote to fix the whole roof was comparable to 3 other bids, but they offered another option to repair the roof that was 1/2 the cost - no one else suggested this approach. I executed on that and it seemed to be the best option. They are not perfect in that they said they were going to come by on one day and they did not but they are very thoughtful and easy to work with, and got the job done well. read more

they were very safety conscious! always wore a mask - they showed up when they said they were and always answered text or phone calls i wasn't building a new house but there was something wrong, it seem's to me in every room and that is harder to find someone to work on then building a new house - i had to have ceiling replastered, put new handle on door, did cement work ect.ect. no one is perfect but what is important is that it is fixed - there were a couple of things that i didn't like and it was refinished where i was very happy boris is a very good project manager - even after i had paid them i had a couple of questions and boris and his crew showed up!! usually if you pay a contractors you never see them again - i give this company a 5 star rating read more

We met with someone (the owner) and he painted a beautiful picture for us. It was all set in done. We got the constructions loans as he recommended and had two meetings of planning. Then when the project was suppose to start NOTHING happened no phone calls back nothing. When we tried to call him he didn't answer. Then finally we got a hold of him by using a diff number and he answered and he said he never committed to anything then the conversation turned into an argument. It was so sad! We where in complete shock!!! We had established a relationship with him. I would have loved to work with him but I guess it was Blessing in disguise bc imagine if he would left us hanging during the actual remodeling. I hope no one else goes through this. I would have selected zero stars, however, you cannot. We had an appointment scheduled for a Sunday morning, they never showed or called, not even the next day to apologize or reschedule.
