Mike was professional, experienced, and thorough. His quote was detailed and all-inclusive -- covering drains, slope correction, flashing, and stucco -- with no surprises or "TBD" add-ons. It was clear and straightforward, which I really appreciated after dealing with unexpected change orders from the company we ultimately hired. Even though we didn't work with All Weather this time, I wanted to leave a review because their approach stood out in the best way. I'd absolutely consider them for future projects and recommend others take their bid seriously.

After waiting without receiving anything, I followed up with Arturo by text and was told that he would send the quote later that day. Four days passed, and I still did not receive the written estimate or any update. I sent another follow-up message and received no response at all. The only positive part of my experience was communicating with their staff, Abigail. The person responding to my texts, who I believe was Abigail, was responsive and helpful whenever I reached out to the company's main number. Unfortunately, despite her responsiveness, I still had difficulty getting the information I needed from the technician assigned to my project. I understand that delays can happen, but timely communication and following through on commitments are important. Based on my experience, I was disappointed by the lack of responsiveness and would encourage the company to improve communication between their technicians and potential customers.

We made it clear our priority was getting back into our bedrooms quickly due to mold remediation, but the project took about a month, leaving our family of five in the living room. At times, the work felt rushed more of a "get in and get out" approach than careful, detailed workmanship. The window installation had to be redone due to damaged frames, and we had to ask multiple times to get it sitting flush. Interior caulking around the windows had visible excess material and was not properly tooled, and still appears uneven after touch-ups. I didn't notice this until after the final walk through, but on one window, the interior corner seems to have a hole in it or uneven seal after the 2nd install. On the exterior, there are areas with bubbling and "alligatoring," along with sections that were not properly blended to match the surrounding texture. One area was initially painted over despite bubbling until we pointed it out. Paint was also left on nearby fixtures, including our exterior camera. We also experienced a pinhole leak in a copper line in the same work area shortly after completion. While it was eventually fixed, there was initial pushback. We were billed for hauling and cleanup, but still ended up handling some debris ourselves. A partial adjustment was made after raising the issue. To their credit, they did return to address some items. However, the process required ongoing oversight, and we had to repeatedly point out issues to get them corrected. Overall, the job was completed, but the workmanship and experience did not meet expectations for the price.

The guys who are American Heritage (Jaime and Antonio) are exceptional. My house flooded in early…read more2023 after a series of rainstorms hit Los Angeles. I first reached out to Jaime and Antonio after several failed attempts with other "specialists" to solve the flooding and remediate the damage. They immediately came to the house and began to assess the problems, beginning with a plan to isolate the source(s) of the flooding. This initial step involved tarping the house and waterproofing the exterior walls. As the rains continued, we discovered that the house continued to flood notwithstanding the initial preventative steps. This sounds bad (and it was), but the only reason we were able to identify the source of the flooding was because of the preventative work done by Jaime and Antonio and their on-site inspections of my home during and after each rainstorm. Throughout this time, Jaime and Antonio stayed in close communication with me via phone and text, and were immediately responsive each time an issue arose (which was often). The flooding issues ultimately proved exceptionally challenging, and would require coordination over many months among American Heritage, the Los Angeles Dep't of Water & Power, my electricians, and my general contractor. As part of the solution, American Heritage needed to trench two sides of my house, install a French drain on one side of the house, install a separate drain on another side of the house, build up and waterproof the existing foundation, and remediate the flooded rooms (which included mold remediation). Throughout this process, Jaime and Antonio clearly explained the scope of each problem and offered proposed solutions, and welcomed my on-site inspections and questions at every stage of the remediation/construction. After their work was completed, Antonio and Jaime continued to check-in prior to and after subsequent rainstorms to ensure they had solved the flooding problems. This included multiple visits (which they did not charge me for) to ensure everything stayed dry. The value I received from their service was worth every dollar. House flooding is one of the more stressful and disruptive events that can happen in life. I hope it never happens to you. If it does, call American Heritage. You'll be glad you did. You will want them on your team.

This company has an incomparable work ethic with skilled professional tradesmen that show up on time know exactly what they need to do, expertly complete the task, never leave a job half done keep the construction site clean and finish in a surprisingly timely manner. They are a 10+. You will never call anyone else. From past experiences I learned to refrain from providing reviews on Contractors whether they are general contractors, plumbers, electricians, or air conditioning experts. Eventually, all the people I deemed heroes seem to fail and the disappointment and expectations of my clients or friends, I end up having to apologize to! He was able to develop a detailed budget to the complete project and a realistic schedule based on the wish list that we defined during the meetings that we had with him. During the project, Doni was able to solve any issue by providing great ideas that will prevent problems during the remodeling. While he will execute your vision, he would also provide his own insight to help us think through any considerations as to why or why we shouldn't do something. The statement of work he provides is fully laid out and he explains line by line to ensure we're on the same page. Payments were scheduled for specific milestones. He was very clear up front of the overall process, timeline and expectations to ensure we knew the order of sequence of how the project would roll out. He spent a good 6 months with us during the planning and design phase, from engineering, blueprinting and permitting. We also visited some of his previous customers and talked to his customers and they all shared the same sentiment of his approach and quality of work. While we did not end up moving forward with the remodel, as we decided to purchase a new home, we did however need to get our home rent ready. This included a new roof, new gutters, stucco, paint exterior, retaining planter wall, new porch and backyard deck. Without question we stuck with Solomon and he was more than happy to work with us, while a smaller scope of work it was still quite a lot of moving parts. All while also re-leveling and tiling my mother in law's balcony. It's important to understand that any significant project requires a partnership and open communication. Bumps are expected but the open communication we had was all it took to make sure both parties were on the same page. It's also important to note that it's also my responsibility as the customer to be available and respond in a timely manner to ensure his teams stayed the course as key decision points. The end result was exactly as we expected. While we continue to search for a new house, we are now leveraging Solomon's expertise and he's assisting us in vetting houses that we may be interested in to ensure it's a sound investment I without a doubt highly recommend Solomon for any project you may have in the pipeline.

It's an incredibly rare thing in this industry to meet people who genuinely care and are invested in your best interests. Vlad, our project manager, and Guy, the company owner, gave us detailed SOWs (Statement of Works) from the onset that they stayed true to. They were consistently forthcoming about which costs would be out of pocket and what's covered in the SOW. They kept us within our budget and worked with us whenever any issue arose. For example, our HoA was particularly troublesome at points in this process, but Vlad and Guy handled the situation with such care and, again I cannot emphasize this enough, transparency. Something that was invaluable to us and saved us incredible headache. We originally started the process with only a kitchen remodel, and then after seeing how detailed and forthcoming they were about pricing and schedule, we added a bathroom remodel as well and chose to re-floor the entire unit. If you are looking…read morefor someone to do a solid job and you don't care so much about the project management, then they were great. If you like to stick to a schedule, scheduling with the company and trying to get in touch with them was awful. They would say that they would show up on Sunday at noon, and then never show up and never text to cancel. They would commit to showing up at 9-11am and then text me confused when I wasn't home to let them in at 3pm. I would text and call Sammy or whichever contractor I worked with and they wouldn't respond for days. The job was finished over a month ago and I am still trying to get a receipt, summary of work, and mold test results. They also left the demolition trash in my garage and told me they'd come back to throw it away (they never came back and I had to throw it away). Again, they do great work! But I personally wouldn't schedule with them again because of how frustrating communication and scheduling can be. I encourage them to clean up the logistical side of the house. Hire a scheduler and a dispatcher, send confirmation texts before the scheduling window, and send a text in advance if you can't make it on time or at all. Having the skills to remodel and repair is half of what someone is hiring when selecting a contractor. Being on time, organized, and reliable is the other half.

I initially tried to hire Home Depot to organize the repairs, but their agreements with builders prohibit HD builders from preparing the floors and cabinetry before finishes. It was a long series of disappointments over company policies. Miron was able to prepare the floors and cabinetry and match prices on HD finishes. Him and Carlos designed custom cabinetry, which improved storage, at no additional cost compared to HD. Miron referred me to DTLA floor and quartz dealers who had larger selection and good prices.
