Had a really good experience with Thynk Remodeling. We redid part of our backyard and the whole process was honestly way less stressful than I expected. Communication was solid, the crew showed up when they said they would, and everything came out really clean. You can tell they actually care about the quality of the work instead of just rushing through jobs. Super happy with how everything turned out. read more

We were happy with Thynk back in 2023 when they did our 2 bathrooms and electrical rewiring. So in December 2025 when our kitchen had a leak and damaged a large part of our floor, we reached out to Thynk to want to accelerate our plan to remodel the kitchen. Jennifer came and we started working on our initial design planning, including how we want to move the stove, laundry, sink areas around to maximum functional space. Once the water damage was mitigated via other parties in late January 2026, Jennifer and her team came and got to work. Every step was worry-free on my part because Thynk handled it professionally with trustworthy advice. By end of March, we now have a newly transformed, very functional kitchen with plenty of storage, brand new huge island, and brand new flooring. Very happy with the results. read more

Thynk finished my garage and yard remodel a couple of months ago and I am enjoying the improvements greatly. They converted my garage at my 100 year old Spanish bungalow in the South Bay into a beautiful living space. They also added a new front patio, redid my old cracked hardscapes, built a beautiful deck and more. The lighting on the project is beautiful and I have gotten so many compliments from passers by. Mostly I would like to thank Yoel. We did have some issues arise and I became frustrated at points, but Yoel was patient and always stepped up to the plate. He is a man of his word and I greatly appreciate his integrity. Lizette was also very helpful throughout the process. Thank you Thynk! read more

Thynk just finished my landscaping project. Rom, the project head, is top notch and very professional. He showed up almost every day for three weeks to check on the progress and workmanship. He is very detail and patient with me from the design stage to completion of the project. Rafael, the crew chief, and his crew are very skillful and experienced in laying the pavers, stone wall, turf, planting, and fixture installation. They showed up and cleaned up everyday throughout the project with no delay. Lizette, the office manager, communicated with me frequently on the status and answered my questions patiently. All in all, Thynk did an excellent job and live up to their word. We are totally satisfied and feel lucky to find Thynk. read more

We are so glad we went with Thynk Remodeling for our garage upgrade. From the first consultation Rom understood what our goals from this project were and he continued to validate us throughout the process. I never do reviews, but this one is long overdue. We discovered Yoel from Thynk Remodeling back in 2019 while we were in the process of finishing our home remodel. We were having so many delays with our previous contractor as well as extra money wasted. Yoel took over and finished it all for us. The finishing of our home covered various projects including bathroom remodels, landscaping/hardscaping, a custom wood patio, waterproof decking with custom glass railings, exterior paint, roofing, solar panels, etc.. We were already living in our home and Thynk's remodeling team was not only skilled but respectful of our home. They maintained a clean and organized workspace, minimizing disruptions to our daily lives. Yoel was super transparent and open throughout the entire project, ensuring I was informed every step of the way. And although Thynk is definitely not the cheapest company out there, I can assure you after dealing with a cheaper option previous to Thynk, it is money well spent and you get what you pay for. Excellent service, reliability and craftsmanship. Thynk Remodeling stepped up and went beyond our expectations to make our vision a reality. Yoels commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail really transformed our complex home remodel. We have now worked with Thynk on multiple different projects and will continue to do so. read more

From the beginning Rom gave me the confidence that my project will be done the way I imagined, but also added his expertise and style in the equation. That confidence and is why I chose Thynk. Even with every little hiccup that came up, he and his crew (Raphael and Kevin) assured me that it will be taken care of and it was. Every promised was delivered and faster than expected. Yoel helped us completely transform our master bathroom from a dark outdated layout to a beautiful spa oasis! We brought him in for a consultation and within the first 5 minutes, I knew he was the right one for the job. He had so many amazing ideas and recommended layouts that ultimately opened the whole space. Thynk Remodeling completed our project within 5 short weeks, often working late into the night to make sure everything was finished in a timely manner. Yoel additionally helped us with contracting carpeting, painters, as well as asbestos/abatement during that time! We can't say thank you enough & are obsessed with our bathroom!!! Thynk Remodeling was amazing to work with! Yoel was extremely responsive and patient with all of our questions. We have a large addition/remodel project and I reached out to Thynk via Yelp and got a quick reply from Lizette. Andrea reached out via phone to set up an in person consult and request our plans that we submitted to the city. I was impressed by the easy, professional communication. Eli (he said he was one of the company owners) came out to the site and we had a productive meeting. I was a little surprised he had not reviewed the plans before our meeting - he needed me to email them to him directly even tho I had already emailed the main email to Andrea. I suppose that should have been my first clue but Eli seems very enthusiastic about the project and said he would get a quote together "this week." I was surprised and gratified that Thynk seemed to so organized and prompt. Unfortunately and oddly, they have ghosted and become completely unresponsive despite reaching out multiple times via email and text. They have a ton of great reviews but after reading through them again I see that the majority are for small projects and landscaping. Eli also said they flip houses with hard money loans to turn a profit so perhaps they're too busy with that to give the courtesy of a reply. read more

Searching for an honest contractor is overwhelming, I probably had 6 different contractors out to bid the job. The last one he talked to was Yoel. We found him and his company via Angi.com. We had purchased a property, built in 1936 that still had the original kitchen. Yoel had his kitchen designer come over first, and we chose our cabinets. Once it was close enough time to the cabinets being ready, he had all his sub-contractors lined up each day. Demo in 4 hours, rough electric in a day, rough plumbing in a day, I was shocked compared to past experiences where there's tons of down time, there was barely any and that was just because it had been raining and the drywall work needed more time to dry. Long story short: Yoel was very flexible with us adding different materials for the floor and adding on some extra work. We switched from vinyl flooring to tile and also adding some extra painting/mud work in two adjacent rooms to the kitchen. It took me months to write this review and the good part is everything is still working great! We'd love to work with Yoel again. read more

The thought of remodeling our backyard has always been nerve-racking for us, so i asked my daughter who works as a designer herself to help us carry this plan out. She sought out contractors and we talked to a few of them but we're not really convinced with them. We wanted someone who we can trust to deliver quality at a reasonable price, someone committed and reliable to finish the project in a timely manner and someone who will be patient enough to take time to understand and walk us thru how we can accomplish what we envisioned our backyard to be. Eli from THYNK remodeling company was the last contractor we talked to and i was immediately impressed with his manner of explaining everything, making sure he is on the same page with what we want, trying to make recommendations without being pushy and just being transparent about everything, from materials to pricing to completion time. He was available to answer questions even on weekends! It's amazing how they have transformed our backyard in a little over a week!! The quality of work is commendable. My family has been enjoying the beautiful putting green. Their workers were efficient, hard working and on time everyday and always cleaned after themselves. Thank you Eli! I am excited to refer THYNK remodeling to my friends and family and will always rely on you for future projects. read more

Unfortunately, we were not satisfied using Thynk for our bathroom remodel. If my husband and I had been well-versed in construction or hired a designer/project manager to oversee the contractor, perhaps we would have had better outcomes. However, this company demonstrated a lack of safety, communication, coordination, and management of our project. To begin, the initial design was not worth the money. It consisted of 2 small pictures for us to refer to whilst purchasing tile/hardware and was completely theoretical (i.e. the design didn't provide specific tile or materials to purchase). Furthermore, it seemed the designer lacked knowledge of product placement to ensure longevity of installations. For example, the mockup she made had grout lines latticed all over the top of the shower curb (for a small hexagon tile she chose), which we later learned (mid tile installation), could be detrimental. Apparently, grout lines on tile curbs in wet areas like showers can crack over time, allowing water to seep through and damage framing. Had we known this from the beginning (i.e. from the initial design) we would have avoided this pitfall by purchasing a granite slab. There were many other mishaps during the ~2mo. Installation (i.e. sections of tile needing to be redone, issues with the vanity, bathroom door, etc.), but we expected some setbacks. In fact, I would not be writing this review had I not felt the company jeopardized me and my family's safety. We fully trusted Thynk when we provided a copy of our house key to continue construction on our bathroom on days my husband and I were at work. Sometimes we would get a heads up on their arrival, and other times they would just show up. We were fine with that until one day we came home to our ENTIRE house filled with a thick, chemical smoke. No one had warned us about it. No one had opened a single window or turned on any fans. My husband and I couldn't walk into the haze without coughing and choking so we put on painters masks and ran through the house to open all windows and turn on all fans. When I asked Eli, the project manager, what was going on he reassured me that the "hot mopping" they had done that day was "non toxic" and would "clear out [that day]." However, when I researched the chemicals used, I found they can cause such ailments as cancer and autoimmune disease. I thank God I had coincidentally taken my dogs out with me out that day. Had I not done that, they would have been stuck breathing those chemicals for HOURS while we were away. It makes me absolutely sick to think about. Furthermore, the smell of the chemicals stayed in the house for 3+ days, even though we had every single window & door open, fans on, etc. I find it completely unacceptable that we were not given a heads up about this procedure before it took place as I feel it was a danger to our health and wellbeing. Overall, the bathroom itself turned out great, but I feel this was due to my careful oversight and ability to pivot and learn quickly. As previously mentioned, if you decide to utilize this company I recommend starting with a robust construction knowledge base or hiring a trustworthy designer/project manager to help. read more

Wowwww!!! I have sold hundreds of remodeled and new construction houses in my career, but this one was really one of the most beautiful houses I've sold. When you work with an amazing contractor who stands by his work, it makes my job easier. I knew that he wanted the property to be listed for higher than any of the comps in the area and normally I don't like to take on those type of listings but when I saw the craftsmanship, quality of construction and aesthetics of Thynk, I had total faith that we would be the ones to set the BAR! And we did just that! This house created the comps for those around. We had multiple buyers and the inspections were squeaky clean making my job super easy! Yoel did a splendid job with our speaker and cat 6 cabling thru the house. It is possibly the best money ever spent as I have 400 MBPs everywhere and hi-def audio in the house. We wish we had done the full house remodel with Yoel as well but we met him after that remodel had begun. I've referred Yoel to others for their remodeling projects. Yoel is very modern (he knows all about low voltage that other contractors won't touch) and has amazing ideas for the backyard landscape as well. Yoel is also very patient and calm, thoroughly professional and probably spent several hours with us without the expectation there'll be a big job. Unfortunately we couldn't give him the job we originally planned but when the time comes with the money, we will go with him for the backyard. Yoel also knows a ton about construction as he's done this all his life and he runs a family business that's been around a long time. Go with Yoel - you won't regret it. read more

Thynk Remodeling - In ceiling speakers! - General Contractors Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Great experience working with Yoel and YS Remodeling. We wanted to renovate our backyard with new turf, and change the patio to include more pavers and bigger stones. TLDR: Great crew, upfront pricing, good communication, very happy with the results. (see photos). We have already told friends about YS Remodeling and Yoel. Feel free to reach out if you are deciding on a project. For our backyard remodel this went really well. What I was looking for: I was looking for a company that could a) provide good work/ be professional b) decent pricing/competitive/budget friendly c) good communication d) can make and understand my idea/vision of the backyard and make it happen. We wanted new turf, and to get rid of all the small pebbles and replace them with bigger stones, and pavers for the patio surrounded by rocks with it cut down the middle with more rocks. I reached out to 4-5 companies to get a quote, plus went to an artificial turf company just to do that portion and get a quote from them. It helped with comparisons and pricing. My father was an electrician for 40 years and in the construction of houses as well so I've heard stories about everything to watch out for - so it's good to get a few quotes. Side note: I actually started to lean towards going with another company - I liked how they were quick to respond to my emails and I felt that the owner was knowledgable about what he was doing and what I wanted. However, after a few lackluster interactions, one of which included not bringing proper samples and the negotiated price kept changing and didn't make sense, I quickly shifted gears and reached back out to YS Remodeling. And I'm glad I did. The Job: Once I chose YS Remodeling to do the job, Yoel came out for a second time to finalize the deal. He pulled out his tablet, sketched the project out, asked all the right questions, had the paperwork ready that showed he was insured, and a one-pager on his business, and payment schedule. He also had the turf sample (which was a much higher quality weight than then one the turf company quoted me). For the job he quoted me a price that was close to some others (actually a little less), but what I really liked is that he didn't change the price even though I asked him to adjust what I wanted a little bit. Don't get me wrong I don't mind if the price changes when you make real changes, but mine weren't big changes - and I only say that because Yoel assured me they weren't and he would maintain his quote. He also said "I know it's called an estimate or a quote but I don't work that way, I give you the price that I feel I can do the job. The price is what the price is." That reassuring me that he wasn't monkeying around. Note: If you make certain changes, or switch what you want, you should expect changes in the price.) Yoel with his sketch and his experience said that he would have to create a border around the pavers to keep everything intact and to make sure it all lined up nicely. My wife and I didn't want a border, but opted to defer to their expertise. If we needed a border so it looked even and straight, do a border, but if you could not put a border as we wanted and it still works, then consider that. They didn't need to put a border so we got exactly what we wanted. Note: Sometimes your vision isn't practical or possible, so be a little flexible. However, with YS Remodeling you can feel confident that they will figure it out with you. The Crew: The crew he brought in were diligent and hardworking and when I stopped them to make sure what I wanted was happening, they were always polite and understanding. At one point one of the workers said "it's not a problem, it's your backyard and you are paying for it." (It's important to just check in on whoever you hire because a lot can be lost in translation from you to a contractor to workers.) The final product: It's gorgeous. The turf is plush and beautiful. While they used a little of the road base that was already there, they still dug up everything and laid it out again, compacted it, and smoothed it out (all part of the job description). Yoel even got some decomposed granite and laid it on top (wasn't included in the job details). He said it would give it a little extra bounce. Maybe he saved a little on using my road base, but I didn't care - I personally don't like how much waste gets created. But the fact that he took it upon himself to add a little value to the job meant a lot. The patio with the pavers looks amazing. The river rocks are beautiful and everything looks exactly how I wanted. He checked in throughout the project. If I had notes or concerns to tell the crew, he told them. I also let them know, but they again understood it was my backyard and just wanted it to be right. If you have questions, please feel free to message me. read more

When my husband and I started looking for our kitchen remodel, we called several contractors. We found Thynk Remodeling on yelp and within a minute knew we needed to make a call to Yoel. From start to finish the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Yoel was attentive, kind, transparent and reasonable throughout the whole process. The inspection and permits went smoothly. We had a hiccup with a need for an entire electrical rewiring in the home and although it was costly, Yoel was able to work with us not only from a financing perspective, but also with a timeline perspective. Our kitchen turned out like a custom kitchen even though it was prefab with Yoel understanding what we wanted and directing us to his vendors that had the best in class products for us to choose from. We were really nervous about doing our first home remodel but we're so happy we went with Yoel. I am a big believer in always explaining the why behind what you're doing and Yoel was on top of it explaining in detail why they he had we had to do certain things to make sure that this was done safely and without cutting corners. We did a full kitchen/laundry room remodel and replaced 15 windows in our house. We interviewed five or six different contractors and ended up going with Rom from Thynk because he was the only one that we felt was being honest with us about our expectations and not just telling us what we wanted to hear. He maintained that same honesty throughout the entire build and it was refreshing and welcomed. Not only did Thynk come up with a spectacular design for the remodel, but they also gave us a bunch of space saving suggestions that ended up giving our kitchen a much bigger and less crowded feeling, something we had struggled with before this project. They did great work and the finished project was truly better than we anticipated. Rom and his crew gave us fair pricing and staggered it throughout the build to never feel overwhelming. He also communicated exactly what work would be done each day and made sure each daily goal was met. Fantastic work and a really positive experience. Highly recommended. read more

Cant say enough! The project was done in one month flat. They knocked down the main walls and created a beautiful open kitchen. This passed December, I started calling around to get quotes for a big project I've been planning to tackle on for a while to fully remodel my house and convert my garage to an ADU. Being that it was such a big project, I had set a budget and wanted to plan ahead just to keep on track. I called numerous companies and set many appointments. From our first meeting with Yoel, he got a sense of our tastes and started making suggestions relating to it. His advice about going about the project and materials, was very reassuring. He took his time with us and was very patient. (Our first meeting was three hours). Most of the contractors spent 20-30 min on site, took very vague measurements, and said they will send us a quote. Our work stated in April and ended earlier this month. The whole process has unfolded so smoothly. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Yoel has stopped by regularly to make sure everything was going to plan. Whenever I had concerns, he was there to answer them. As far as his crew goes, they were just as meticulous as him. Amazingly friendly, polite, on time, and very considerate to our schedule and cleaned up after themselves. Throughout this whole process, I truly didn't feel I was chasing after the contractor once. It was unimaginably a smooth process. Our house turned out beautiful. Unfortunately, we aren't able to put it to use due to COVID. But through pictures, many of our friends have already contacted Yoel to go look at their house. I highly recommend Yoel and his crew, if you want amazing quality work and peace of mind.
