Tempura sweet potato, karaage, saba/laulau bento, papaya salad and green curry/rice

Like they said, see a line, join in with cash. Everything was delicious. I'd get dinner too while I'm at it.

I love this place! Owner is super friendly and everything is so cheap! He sells out of his van a few days a week in downtown. Everything is $1, $1.50, or $5 - what a deal! You can feed a whole family for $20! My favorites are the thai curries (thai curry and stick rice for $5! Unheard of!!), spring rolls, and roast pork with gravy. His laulau and fried hoki (fish) are also super delicious. Not sure how he keeps his prices so low. Definitely a must try! Cheap and good tasting food.

I wanted to love my food but this is how it was delivered. I can't blame the delivery but I might suggest to the restaurant that if it's liquid, shouldn't it be best it goes in a soup container? The whole point of me ordering curry was to eat it but not out of a bag

I saw this van parked on the side of the road at Vineyard Street (one street makai of Vineyard Blvd). Lots of DOE employees lined up and buying multiple bento lunches. Make sure to get there by 11 a.m. as if the crowd dies down or he runs out of food he is out of there. When I last went there by 11:15 a.m. he was packing up to leave due to an early crush of people buying a lot of his food, and he was going to head to the Blood Bank to set-up shop next. Not as much food as something like a ZipPac but for the price of a ZipPac you could buy about three of these bentos so the prices are reasonable. Large variety of food choices including curry and even Green Papaya Salad. His hours are 11 a.m. until he decides to leave (by 12:30 p.m. at the latest I'm guessing) on Tuesday and Thursdays.

S&P has set the bar high, serving up the best authentic Thai food at reasonably priced found on Oahu. Service was exceptional and the food ordered were so delicious! We really enjoyed our visit and the good vibes! Thank you Sam! JT/SL Frequent Canadian visitor to Honolulu

I was honestly surprised when they took us back there to our seats because I didn't realize the space was that big. I ordered the beef pad see ew, and I'll be honest, I was a little sad when it came out because the portion felt pretty small for $18. The other dishes seemed like they were a lot larger. I also split the crab omelet, which was good! I tried the Evil Curry too. It wasn't extremely spicy, but it definitely had enough of a kick that I don't think I could eat the whole thing in one sitting. They also have free karaoke in the main room for anyone interested, which is a fun addition! Overall, I gave this place a 4 because the people were nice, and I liked that you could choose between the cute garden patio or the karaoke area. The food was decent. Nothing amazing for me, but still good overall. I will say, if you're specifically looking for pad see ew, my favorite is still King of Thai Boat Noodles!

Everything about this place is amazing... except maybe parking, but that's usually always a problem in Honolulu. However, I always get orders to-go, so I just end up parking on the street, picking up, and going on my merry way. If you decide to dine in, the ambiance is super cute with both indoor and outdoor seating. Last time I was there, they were expanding the outdoor seating. They also have a bar with bar seating inside. Their Pad Thai is perfect! Nice and moist without being soggy and definitely not dry. I like to request a side of yellow curry, which they usually accommodate because I like to dip my noodles in it. Service is always quick and simple.

We opted for family style since we wanted to have different things and went for: -Pad see iew with tofu (very flavorful but portion was a bit on the smaller side... I thought they gave more before..) -Papaya salad (crunchy, fresh, and tart) -Sticky rice -Yellow Curry with chicken (delicious & coconut didn't overpower) -House fried chicken (crispy, juicy... and most pieces were boneless). We warmed up a little with the medium spice level papaya salad...and they don't mess around with their spices here. Thai spice is way more of an intense, painful heat than Korean chili peppers (in my opinion!). This dish even made my spice tolerant friend sweat a little but couldn't stop eating because everything was packed with flavor. Service was fast - I would definitely come back here (and maybe bring a jacket). At least I know the AC works here!

We got the panang curry with tofu and the pad prik gang with pork. Protein and veggie amounts were good in both. My partner fell in LOVE with this place so we stopped sampling what's around and kept returning here. You cannot beat the space. This is the old Garlic Ninikuya location, the converted house on Waialae across from Times and Longs, that has the tree planted in the middle of the house. Seating is outside or inside, but we prefer outside. It gives oasis, even though you're right on a busy street, you feel like you've been transported someplace exotic as the tree and plants are accented with an. eclectic East Asian decor. The food is generous, although some of the plating can read pedestrian. We always get the Panang curry and try a different curry or dish along with it. The pricing is a dollar or two under most of the Thai restaurants around. Have I had better Thai food? Sure. But for an overall experience I so much prefer the serene setting here, as well as hearty portions, kind service, BYOB option, and supporting an independently run Kaimuki eatery. The food is good, I'd give it a 4. The atmosphere is a 5. Definitely do dine in. Fun as a pair or with a group.

I used to come here for lunch often some years ago and always loved it but they were so busy that they were not very attentive. Dinner time apparently is different in that the servers were very attentive and refilled water and checked on us. We had so many delicious dishes from Tom Kha soup and cucumber salad to drunken noodles, fried chicken, steamed ginger fish, shrimp and eggplant, and pad Thai. It was all delicious and perfectly balanced. I especially like their spice caddy which contains chopped Thai chilis so we could all share the dishes at a reasonable spice level and I could add them to my portions to my liking and I like it blazingly HOT.
