    Omelet, hash browns
    Kelsey R.

I had quite the delicious and speedy breakfast here prior to a conference at the convention center and had the kindest service! Location is great right near the convention center. It's connected to I believe the Marriott but the food was very good! I got an omelet and hash browns and black coffee, pretty basic. Service was quick! Loved my omelet and the hasbrowns were cooked to perfection. Ambiance is very hotel restaurant like, but I was there for breakfast so wasn't looking for anything fancy for breakfast. I can imagine it would feel quite upscale at night. I wish I would've caught my wait staffs names as they were so accommodating!

I was caught off guard with how good my rib sandwich was. We walked in and the place is massive and super clean but no one was there. We were the only people sitting down to eat which was weird because it was 6 o'clock. So that was concerning but the menu looked good so we stayed. The staff was friendly but service was a little slow. Especially considering we were alone there. The rib sandwich just melts in your mouth. I would have liked it to be bigger but it wasn't too expensive so I was happy with it. The potato's on the side were decent but could have been cooked a little longer since the inside was hard.

We stayed at this hotel and the menu looked amazing so we had to try it. The ambiance is amazing and relaxing. The food is even better. We didn't have anything we didn't like. The service was a little slow but nothing horrible. Definitely a great choice!

I have only dined in at Rye for lunch and dinner but they also serve breakfast. On this most recent visit I met my husband here for lunch and we had a good experience. It was the chicken and dumplings with a side of mac and cheese with a beer for me and the catfish plate with brussel sprouts and mac and cheese for him (this was the Friday special). We both enjoyed our meals. My only complaint is that I wanted more dumplings in my entree.

I was staying over at the Marriott hotel and came down to pick up some food. On my first visit I came down after check in. The bar area was filled with people. They staff told me they were no longer serving lunch and it was too early for dinner. I had to order from the bar food menu. I ordered the Rye Burger which came with bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and fries. It was very large and packed with flavor. The fries were the highlight with the seasonings they used. The meal was very good. I wish I had a bigger tray as everything started slipping down and falling all over. It was great regardless. The second time I came down here was for check out. It was about 12pm so I was hoping to get some brunch. The staff informed me they were no longer serving breakfast. They only had the lunch menu available. I should have gone over to the Starbucks down the hall but I was already sitting down and decided to order the Hickory Chicken Sandwich. It was a grilled chicken breast, mustard barbeque, applewood smoked ham, jack cheese lettuce, tomato, red onions, and a pickle. This sandwich was underwhelming. I did not enjoy it. It felt very bland. I should have sticked with my original idea and go to Starbucks for a breakfast meal. Maybe on a different day it would have been good but today it was not.

Veggie Burger and seasoned crinkle fries

I arrived late to my hotel, so seeing most places close at 9 pm turned this place into my dinner to-go spot. Even though I was staying at the hotel, I couldn't confirm if the Marriott's room service was offered via Rye because when I tried calling the restaurant (used the number on Yelp), they didn't answer the phone. I could have called front desk, but it wasn't that important. I walked downstairs to order at the bar. I ordered the veggie burger. The menu didn't describe the patty, but it sounded good.. turns out it's a Beyond (or Impossible? My bet is Beyond) Patty. A veggie burger is the incorrect name and I knew right away by the smell of the take out bag upon dropping it off to me that it couldn't be a true veggie burger. Regardless, the smoked gouda and mushrooms is what sounded good. The patty was cooked to a burnt crisp, so it was like a real charbroiled burger and the mushrooms were cooked nicley. It was a to-go order, and there was no sauce description on the menu, so I'm curious.. would all the condiment packets been provided if I dined in? Because it needed a condiment, desperately. I layered the mayo, ketchup, and mustard and it tasted better. The bread was nicely toasted, but no sauce! Add it yo self! The fries are seasoned crinkle fries.

I try to avoid restaurants in hotels but would have missed a gem had I done so. I'm here with a large conference and was afraid the wait would be long. To my surprise, I was seated quickly. I did have to wait and ask for my server but the lady I asked wasn't my server and still took my order! I ordered salmon and double Brussels sprouts and OMG! Both were amazing. I wanted to know what each had been cooked in but I'm sure it was something I didn't need or need to know. The salmon was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Brussels sprouts had a really nice savory taste. So I stand corrected. Restaurants in hotels can be pretty good, actually great. Let's see what some wings will be like tonight. And you can guess that I'm getting Brussels sprouts again!

Ordered room service so I could continue working on a project. The server who took my phone order and delivered my dinner was super nice and very outgoing. My order arrived at my room piping hot and ready for consumption. The salmon was nicely seasoned and tasted great. The carrots were definitely al dente, which was fine but the potatoes were really charred (decremented a star on the review). I'd still recommend the dish, maybe pick some different vegetables Update: Dined in the restaurant for breakfast. The food was delicious and my server, Donna, was awesome managing several tables and customers all by herself while being super sweet and attentive. I enjoyed the "Eggs Your Way" with a side of rye toast and a yogurt parfait. Highly recommend.

I ordered the crab cake and shrimp and grits. The crab cake was very bland no flavor at all. However it had a nice crisp. The sauce was not a good mix. The shrimp and grits was decent, very bland. The blackened shrimp was good. However the meal it was ok. I wasn't impressed. A associate of mines order the shrimp and crab hush puppies. It was not good. Very nice staff and service was good considering it was so busy.

We were quickly seated. Nice upscale atmosphere. The salmon is good. The steak salad was very good. The man that seated us was also our server. He was very nice. Good hotel restaurant/bar.

The pieces of fish were large and thick. -- The Manchego-herb Biscuits were awesome. One order comes with four small biscuits. Crust was flaky, the inside was soft and moist, and the flaky salt was the cherry on top. -- The Seared Duck Breast was phenomenal. The duck was juicy and tender and salted well. The skin was thick, sooo flavorful, and melted in your mouth but I would've liked a little more crispiness on the outside. I enjoyed the mix of fresh vegetables and warm cooked vegetables served with the dish. -- The Lemon Yuzu Tart was a nice bright and rich dessert. The tartness comes from the jam on top of the tart but it doesn't overwhelm the dish. The creme brulee style top was a nice touch. The buttermilk ice cream was more on the icier side than creamy. The bones feel nostalgic, but the overall vibe is current and lively. It's the kind of place that feels familiar but still cool. Service Service is where things really clicked. Our server knew the menu inside out and guided us through it with confidence. Every recommendation landed. It also felt like one of those menus where it would be hard to order poorly. The Food The menu leans comfort food with a modern edge, and it's done really well across the board. We started with a Caesar salad with dill pickle dressing, which sounds like it shouldn't work but absolutely does. Bright, fresh, and just different enough to be interesting without trying too hard. The beet salad was also excellent, clean flavors and well balanced. Then came the pimento cheese with fried crackers. This might have been the sleeper hit. The crackers are dangerously good. Simple idea, executed perfectly, and hard to stop eating. For mains, the fried chicken was solid but didn't stand out the same way the starters did. The short rib pot pie, on the other hand, was exactly what you want from a dish like that. Rich, flaky, and deeply comforting. Overall Poole's is the kind of place where everything feels considered, from the space to the service to the food. It's approachable, well executed, and very easy to enjoy.

We opted for a reservation at the bar, and we enjoyed excellent service from Brittany and Kylie. They were attentive and very detailed with the excellent service that we have found out is the norm in every one of Ashley Christensen's restaurants. Our starter of roasted beets had an incredible blend of buttermilk blue cheese with white balsamic thyme, pickled pumpkin, and Marcona almonds. So yummy. Then my husband and I shared the Ricotta Gnocchi that we agree is the BEST gnocchi we have ever had the privilege of eating. So light in spite of a duck bolognese being the sauce. Fried rosemary sparked my home chef mind for future meals! We also shared the Brussels sprout upon Brittany's recommendation. One of the most unique preparations on Brussels sprouts ever with oyster mushrooms and a sherry cream sauce. We typically pass on dessert, but the description of their Pear Tart Tatin coupled with Kylie's verbal description hooked us and we were thrilled to enjoy every bite of the hazelnut praline ice cream that is part of this beautiful dessert.

I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Inside, it's a playful clash of textures and tones--lush greenery tumbling from shelves, vibrant colors dancing against natural wood, and polished metals winking from every corner. It's the kind of place where a cocktail feels brighter, conversations linger longer, and even the sunlight seems to stay for just one more round. From the moment you step in, the welcome feels less like service and more like being let in on a good secret. The staff greet you with easy smiles and a kind of genuine curiosity--like they're actually glad you chose this spot, today. There's no script, no stiffness--just a natural warmth that settles in as quickly as the sunlight. Behind the bar, the bartenders move with quiet confidence and a touch of showmanship. And then there's the mac & cheese--rich, velvety, and indulgent in a way that feels almost mischievous. Each spoonful stretches and melts like it's putting on a show, wrapping you in buttery comfort while quietly stealing the spotlight. Together, it's a plate that doesn't ask for your attention--it demands it, and you'll be more than happy to oblige. Cheers!
