I had called ADT quite a few years ago, to have a system installed, and fortunately, I happened to get Ryan. He was polite and courteous, but most importantly, he was contentious. He was in absolutely no hurry, as I peppered him with a bunch of questions. I recently talked to him about upgrades, and changing delays on different sensors, and he was able to take care of most things, just talking me through it, on the phone. What i like MOST, is that Ryan has been representing ADT for a LONG time(it seems to me), and he's not some college student doing this on his summer break. lol. This continuity in service, has kept me with ADT for 10 years. I highly recommend Ryan! read more

I have been using yelp for close to 3 years now and this is my first review so that in itself should tell you how impressed I was with Ryan. In an industry where it's very easy and common for security companies to prey on a persons need to feel safe in their own home by up-selling them on tech and services that they may not need, it was truly refreshing to come across someone like Ryan, who is as authentic & genuine as they come...and on top of that he provides an exceptional customer experience! Getting a hold of Ryan and setting up an appointment was extremely easy. He showed up on time, which dealing with a lot of large service companies in the past, can be a rare thing. He walked me & wife through every step of the way and wanted to make sure we fully understood what services and equipment he was providing and why it was needed. He never tried to sell us more than we needed and after talking with Ryan for more than 5 minutes it became extremely clear his recommendations are what's truly best for his customers. He is extremely respectful and attentive and I really like how he dedicates a full day to an instillation just to be sure he can devote the time needed to do every job the right way and to answer any & all questions his customers may have without having to rush to another appointment. The fact that Ryan chooses to do only 1 appointment a day where other companies may try to fit 2 or more tells me everything I need to know about Ryan and where he places the importance of his clients needs. Ryan is a breath of fresh air and is someone i would highly recommend to all of my friends and family and if this review can influence at least 1 person to choose Ryan as their guy for security then I feel like the time it took to write this review was well worth it! read more

If your looking for an alarm system Technician look no further Ryan Sharp is a . Very knowledgable, trustful and professional he has installed several systems in 2 of my homes All systems have been functioning problem free for over 2 years read more

I rarely recommend specific people in the service industry, but Ryan Sharp is someone I have no issue recommending. The first alarm system I purchased was 14 years ago and when I moved and needed a new alarm, Ryan was my first call. Ryan is fantastic to work with. He is professional, friendly and has excellent communication skills. He made great installation recommendations and walked me through using the new system. He works cleanly and effectively. He is quick to respond to emails and phone calls and provides some of the best customer service I have every received. Whenever I hear of someone looking for an alarm system, I always recommend they give Ryan a call. Highly recommended!! read more

Called him again to do an install on another house.. He does everything clean. He did an awesome job. Thanks again Ryan!

Ryan more than deserves all of the fantastic reviews he received. He is knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and takes great pride in his work. Ryan returned my call in a timely manner and talked me through the product features, installation process and answered my many, many questions. Aside from his expertise in home security, we chose to work with Ryan because: - Ryan is a one-man show who takes care of his clients one at a time. There are no sales people to quote the service and no separate installers or subcontractors to put the system together. From the first phone call to the end of the installation process, it's all Ryan. When it comes to something as sensitive as home security, we would much rather work with just one person. - All of Ryan's reviews are consistently 5-star rated. Other vendors may have a higher volume of reviews (larger shops can take on more clients) but there are occasional low ratings. I know some people are hard to please but... Yelpers across the board gave Ryan high marks. I am no exception (and I am very picky). - Ryan took the time to show us how the alarm operates. He was patient, humble, and truly focused on customer service excellence. Having a trustworthy person install your security system is always very reassuring :) Look no further. I've done my fair share of research and it paid off in spades. If you work with Ryan, you too, will join our 5-star Ryan Sharp club. read more

Ryan is a top notch pro. He did an excellent job installing the system and explained it clearly. Thanks Ryan.

All of the 5 star reviews are well deserved. After an unsuccessful break in attempt at our home we decided to get an alarm system. We used Yelp to get some names and three estimates. Ryan's 5 star reviews did not disappoint. Ryan made the whole process of getting an alarm system painless. From beginning to end it took two days. From the initial contact, installation and instructions on how to use the system, Ryan was knowledgeable, efficient and very pleasant to work with. When Ryan walked out the door at the end of the day, our house was clean, the alarm system was in, we knew how to use it and we felt way more secure! read more

If you are in the market for an alarm installation, look no further than Ryan Sharp. we recently turned to Yelp for a recommendation, called Ryan, and he was terrific. Ryan seems to pride himself on responsiveness the moment you reach out - every time. He came out, laid out all the options for us in very clear terms, booked an installation appointment and then showed up to secure our house. Following Ryan's installation, we had a few issues and he gladly came out again as a follow-up. Ryan is super-professional, knows his craft, and is the kind of guy you'd trust on setting up an alarm system. I highly recommend him. read more

This review is overdue. It was such a seamless experience having Ryna install my ADT system. He was easy to get in touch with and he explained everything on the phone. He was wonderful with actually saving me money by providing really honest information. Ryan spent hours trying to figure out how to use my landline to save me money. He didn't have to do that. He was informative, sweet, and really good at his job. He did a lot of wiring and mounting and no mess was left. I wish everyone was as smart, competent, and kind as Ryan. Hire him, you will not be sorry. read more

We have had our alarm system for over 20 years and started to have some problems. I reached out to our current provider and their customer service was pretty poor. I decided to search out other providers in the area, and ended up calling Ryan. What a nice guy! We talked on the phone for probably 30-40 minutes, discussing our options, what ADT provides, and what he suggested we do with our current situation. There was never any hard sell to buy more than we needed and everything was explained thoroughly. Ryan actually had availability the next day, arrived on time, and completed the work for us. The price was great, he was responsive to requests that we had, and completed all the work as promised. We even had a question the next day, and he called me right back and walked me through the answer. Highly recommend Ryan and can completely agree with all of his 5 star reviews!! (I wanted to be his 100th review but I ended up being the 98th!) read more

Ryan provides superb customer service. He listens very carefully to his clients before offering a recommendation as his is goal is complete satisfaction for his customers. He did a beautiful job of installing, explaining, and setting up our system. Fortunately, we had our system installed shortly before we visited Italy. Several days into our trip, our daughter contacted us that someone attempted to break into our home. ADT monitoring did its job; after failing to contact me and then my wife, ADT reached our daughter and apprised her of the situation. This all happened within moments of the initial break-in. Back at our home, the alarm sounded and scared off two burglars. Nothing was stolen. My daughter and a family friend arrived and immediately called the San Jose Police who responded a short time later and made sure our home was clear. Thank you ADT for protecting our home. read more

RYAN is fantastic!!! He's well versed, highly efficient, great expertise, patient, and outstanding customer service. Ryan has been our go-to expert for 10 years plus and has never failed. Can't say enough about him! read more

This review is long overdue. After extensive "research" I chose Ryan based on the reviews here. It is exactly as everyone else has written! Ryan answers calls promptly and very willingly takes the time to explain the pros of cons of certain steps and about what would not be necessary. One big plus is that his schedule is flexible and he was able to accommodate me outside of the regular work hours so I didn't have to take time off from work. He was always professional and polite. He took the time to position the wiring in the most unobtrusive place, and cleaned up after himself. In addition to these, Ryan even helped with additional security measures at no extra charge. And maybe because of this, there was a minor step missed. But he addressed it promptly and more than made up for it, even after the contract had been signed and the payment issued. Ryan is highly recommended!!! read more

What a great guy! I'm sure this sounds like an insincere or fake review but it's not. I was totally impressed. Just a knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, prompt, reliable, professional person. He rearranged his schedule so he could put our system in immediately. He was very smart and helpful in pointing our small details about the system that I wouldnt have known and was very professional yet personable and friendly. We enjoyed having him working at our house, which is a strange thing to say about a security system installation person. Anyhow I do want to say that Ryan is an exceptional person and I can totally understand how he is getting uniformly 5 star reviews. He is honest about features and their costs and clear about things, he will take care of his customers including trying to save them money by not installing things they don't need. Just a reliable, good person, the kind we need more of in this world. Please give him your business. read more

5 star rating - Great service! I have been a happy customer of Ryan - ADT authorized dealer. I remember I had called Ryan 2 days before we were going on vacation to schedule an appointment and he gladly came over to my house that same day! He was on time, honest and very knowledgeable explaining the pros and cons of the systems. He patiently answered my and my wifes questions and clarified concerns. He walked with me around the house and gave me his expert advise and suggestion. The installation was schedled for the very next day!! He made me feel comfortable with what we were signing up for. No surprises and very straight forward process. He went out of his way and also changed the batteries on my old system and enabled that to work in sync with the new one. His inputs were very valuable. If you are looking for someone to have sercurity system installation, I highly highly recommend Ryan Sharp to anyone who needs a security system in their home! I have used Ryan Sharp from Direct Protection on 3 homes so far. I used another ADT company for my last installation, because I was a distributor of their service. Because of their poor support I chose to neither recommend them nor use them again myself. I called Ryan and had him do my next installation. Ryan is always so helpful and knowledgeable and if I have any questions about the system I can call him and he will answer them. With Direct Protection after the set amount of time the support refers to ADT, which is good for us as clients. The other company I used did not refer to ADT after that set amount of time and when I had a low battery signal I called them 3 times to replace the battery with no response. Finally after reporting each incident with ADT they sent one of their own technicians out.. even though this other company was supposed to provide support. I would definitely use Ryan from Direct Protection on future installations. read more

Ryan was fantastic throughout the whole process!! I had never installed an alarm system before. And so had a whole lotta questions for him. There are not enough positive compliments to give this man. Ryan installed all the door and window sensors plus a motion sensor without leaving a speck of dust. His personality and professionalism is above reproach. A couple months after the initial installation we experienced a problem with the alarm system giving false signals and the police being called. I immediately phoned Ryan and told him of my problem. Ryan, who at the moment, was on vacation in Hawaii with his family patiently listened, asked questions and told me he would be at my door when he returned to the Bay Area. The next thing I knew Ryan was at my front door as he had promised and fixed the problem. I wonder how many business owners would keep their phone on while vacationing on a sunny beach under palm trees in Hawaii? This is the VERY BEST of personal integrity and concern for his customer. Ryan came to our home and was personable, genuine, and easy going, without any of the slickness of a usual home security guy. I moved into a house with an existing alarm that I was unable to operate. After searching YELP, I reached out to Ryan for a service call to kick start my alarm. Although I did not have "ADT" service, Ryan patiently troubleshooted my alarm issues on the phone. He walked me through the alarm, assisting me in resetting and getting the alarm to work. Within an hour's time, Ryan talked to me for 45 minutes in two separate phone calls. He did not try the hard sell for services. He insisted on giving me his advice without a service call or a charge. He was very clear in his instructions and was helpful in every way. A true gentleman that I would not hesitate to install or service my home alarm. read more

Wow, I can't say enough great things about Ryan. For any of you out there looking to install a security system into your home or small business, look no further! Ryan Sharp is your man. We originally had an ADT sales rep come to the house to give us an estimate and we were disappointed by their lack of knowledge of the security system and aggressiveness to push us into adding features we didn't need. We were at our wits end when my husband decided to search on Yelp and found Ryan Sharp, who is a third party ADT security system installer. He had so many positive reviews, that we called him to give us an estimate on installing an alarm system in our home. I can't say enough nice things about Ryan. When he arrived at our home to give us an estimate and information about installing a security system we were so relieved that he actually knew what he was talking about. And he wasn't pushy about adding extra things to jack up the cost. He was honest and so easy to work with. On the day of installation Ryan was at the house by 9 a.m, and he stayed until the job was finished, which was no easy task since we have so many windows that needed sensors. Once he was done, Ryan made sure we knew how to work the alarm system and that we were comfortable using it. Whenever I have any questions I do not hesitate to call Ryan. My husband and I would highly recommend Ryan Sharp to our friends and family and we hope that if any of you out there that are looking for someone to install your new security system, you call Ryan. He is dependable, trustworthy and hard working. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Ryan for making our home safe! read more
