Maryland Crab Soup
Vicky B.

Came back recently during happy hour just for a drink and a crab cake, and had a great experience. I enjoyed the Rusty Scupper Ale which was refreshing, and an absolutely delicious crab cake with large chunks of crab. We were also served bread which is just as good as I remembered from our prior visit. Our waitress was also super friendly and checked on us frequently. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Baltimore for a nice dinner, and I look forward to coming back again when I'm in town.

Cream of crab soup

Was in Baltimore for a day and wanted to make sure we got crab cakes before leaving. We had been walking around the inner harbor for a while and made our way over. We didn't get full dinner as we had another planned stop before flying home but that didn't impact service. Crab cakes were great. Large lumps of meat and not much filler. I also had the cream of crab soup. It was delicious and had a generous amount of lump crab meat. The Rusty Scupper ale was good too. Dinning area has a great view of the harbor area.

Birthday celebration with the Family....And, this restaurant couldn't have been more fitting!! From the views, ambiance and fantastic menu....I have no complaints! Rusty Scupper has been around since the ages of time at the Baltimore Harbor. I remember coming here in the 90's ( yes, dating myself...lol) and was surprised that they are still around and one on the original "OG's'" here at the Baltimore Harbor! We were a Family of Ten and were accommodated to the upmost. Never had to wait for a server and the customer service was on point. It could not have been better!! We were sat at a window table with a great view of the harbor. Our server was prompt and attentive (Bellinis galore!). We were here for the brunch layout. The food was fantastic!! Ham, prime rib and lamb carving station, seafood. custom omelets, fantastic buffet spread of delicious food...of all the breakfast classics and comfort food eats. And of course.....The Seafood!! Oysters, shrimp, crab & lobster.....you name it....they served it. In all, our food was top notch. Our severs were very attentive.... helpful and pleasant but not overbearing. Our water glasses and drinks were never emptied. Between the quality of the food and customer service, it could not have been a better experience! Thank you Rusty Scupper! I would recommend for the Sunday Brunch, any casual dining while in the area or special occasion! The vibe is great and the food is delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and left completely with Buddha rubbing--full bellies and satisfied. Will be back!! Thank you Rusty Scupper for the outstanding food and service! Will be back for sure.

I was recently vising Baltimore and we decided to venture over to Rusty Scupper for a nice romantic dinner with a view of the water which was breath taking. To start we shared the JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE $30 grain mustard beurre blanc and the CHEF'S SELECT OYSTERS* MP cocktail sauce, lemon, classic mignonette, and PAN-SEARED SCALLOPS $53 roasted Shiitake mushrooms, sunchoke & truffle puree, asparagus sunchoke crisps, chive oil. For our entree we shared the LUMP CRAB FETTUCCINE $39 fettucine pasta, lump crab meat, shallots, cream sauce. The entire meal was amazing! Rusty Scupper is definitely a restaurant that is a place to come back to.

Tuna Carpaccio

Wonderful experience! We came in on a Sunday night and it could not have been more perfect. We had the Tuna Carpaccio, Crab Cake, Shrimp and Grits, Scallops and Crab Fettuccine. All were great and very flavorful. The shiitake mushrooms and truffle puree surrounding the scallops was divine. The scallops were unfortunately quite over cooked but regardless it was still a highly enjoyable meal. Service was great and our waiter could not have been better with the host staff being incredibly welcoming as well. Ambiance was perfect, not overly crowded and stunning views. Overall I would definitely come back next time I am in Baltimore and would recommend anyone do so!

Had a great time at Rusty Scupper for happy hour.. order a few cocktails such as old fashioned and lemon martini with Hennessy and their amber ale. The crab cake sandwich, oysters, grilled Spanish octopus, and basket shrimp were all amazing dishes. Lovely piano player in the background and perfect view for sunset. Kudos to staff - Reda, Katelyn, Michael. Will come back with family next time!

By far the BEST BRUNCH location in Baltimore! It is so yummy and delicious! I don't even know where to start. When you get there there's private parking that you unfortunately have to pay for but your car is safe and right at the restaurant so I get it. When you arrive you're greeted by multiple staff and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RESERVATION! I showed up once and forgot and they were already overbooked but they booked us for the following Sunday. The food selections change with different themes sometimes so it's not just the exact same menu every time. We went during Mardi and the food was so good. The restaurant is inspired by a ship of course so the interior is so beautiful and reminds you of a very regal cruise ship. From start to finish it's just exceptional all around. One of my favorite places for brunch! I highly highly recommend coming here!

Rusty Scupper offers a true fine dining experience with spectacular service--our servers waited on us hand and foot. The two-level setup and marina views made for a beautiful setting. We started with shrimp cocktail and calamari--both were fresh and flavorful. I had the rockfish with mashed potatoes and veggies, and it was cooked perfectly. Our table tried several entrées, and everything was delicious. Highly recommend for great food, great views, and top-notch service!

This restaurant is so beautiful and the view of the water is stunning! I came here with my roommate for a dinner and had such a great time. Our server was so so nice too! The calamari was so fresh and the salmon was perfection. Their cheesecake is some of the best that I've had and I think that means a lot coming from me and my roommate who are both lactose intolerant LOL.

Pretty tasty but pretty pricey for the portions. Beautiful view of the inner harbor. Excellent service and elegant interior.

Amazing food, beautiful scenery being on the water, impeccable service. I wouldn't say we are regulars but we come here more than a few times a year. It's a staple place for us when my wife is craving the whole fish with chimichurri. My go to is the pan seared scallops and I am never disappointed. The scallops are always cooked to perfection and the accompaniments are delicious. Asparagus and sunchoke slices with a sunchoke and truffle demiglaze. The cream of crab soup is delightful especially when mixed with the Maryland Crab. I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a nice date night, or romantic evening out with a loved one or with family or friends.

Mahi-Mahi
Breanne R.

My overall experience at Rusty Scupper was positive. I loved the view of the water as I dined. My waitress was amazing! I wish I remembered her name, but she was attentive and very informative. I enjoyed my mahi mahi, but wish the fish itself had a little more flavor. However, the lemon beurre blanc sauce that came on it was delicious (especially with the mashed potatoes) and made up for the missing spices. I also enjoyed my sangria! It was refreshing and aesthetically pleasing.

All you can eat buffet.
Susan S.

Before I forget, brunch is $62 per person for an all-you-care-to-eat buffet, and an 18% tip is automatically added in to the final bill. Fantastic food, and a lovely jazz trio. We had such a a good time!

So good

Is parking free at the restaurant?

No, parking is not free. Reduced rate of $9.00 per day at the lower level parking garage with Rusty Scupper validation.

Do you take walk-in during Saturday brunch or do we need reservations?

You must make reservations. I learned the hard way my first time abs had to leave.

Is there a kids menu? My kids are 10 but still eat like toddlers 🤦🏽‍♀️

Not sure if there is a kids menu since we did not have any small children with us. I know the dinner menu provided did not include any kid choices. I am thinking that they do but it is a separate menu that you have to ask for. Hope this helps!

Is there an outdoor deck with a view where one can enjoy a drink or two ? And where is the best…

There's no outdoor seating, but inside you can get just as good as a view. Also park in the garage and take your ticket in to get it validated.

Does the casual dress include cargo shorts? It's pretty hot out today? **Edit** wore shorts with no…

I wouldn't wear cargo shorts but that's because I don't consider them casual dress. A lightweight pair of slacks, maybe linen blend and a polo shirt is more of my idea of casual. Plus you're going to be indoors so it's cool. You only need to walk… Read more

We were only in Baltimore for one night and leaving town right after this meal so I wanted some authentic Maryland Crab. Yelp helped with my decision with choosing Loch Bar. We arrived in the middle of happy hour. It was freezing and extremely windy outside so it was the perfect coziness to eat some seafood, at least in my opinion. We sat at the bar because that included happy hour items and there were a lot of empty seats. Immediately upon sitting, we were greeted by the bartender. I didn't catch his name but he was about 6 ft tall, slim, African American, and maybe late 20's/ early 30's. Very friendly, attentive, and professional. We ordered several items from the happy hour menu but I really wanted to try the crab cake so I ordered that, which came with either a salad or fries. Since we ordered the Old Bay fries, I went with the salad. Our food came out not too fast and did not take super long, it was great timing. OMFG again! EVERYTHING WAS SO FRIGGIN AMAZING! The crab cake was the freshest and most flavorful I have ever had! The fries were perfectly seasoned and not over fried or greasy. The salad was fresh and the dressing was perfectly balanced! AND THE CRAB SOUP!!! It was the best I ever had! It reminded me of my absolute favorite lobster bisque from a restaurant I grew up on that closed. I am salivating writing this review and definitely need to come back! I loved the decor of the restaurant and mentioned to hubs it reminded me of many seafood restaurants I visited when I lived in NYC. It is right on the water so I imagine it is just as good in the summer. It looked like there was a big outside patio with an outdoor bar so hopefully I get to visit in warmer weather to experience that.

Oysters - I had 2 each of 3 different types. I love oysters. Eating those six made me lose interest in ever eating another oyster. Just not good. Not spoiled. Just not good. Shrimp banh mi - Nice tasting but not amazing. Brussels sprouts- A bit oily but really delicious. Everyone around me had cocktails with lunch. Located on the top level of Crossbar Biergarten, The Wurst is a true hidden gem. You would never know it was there unless someone told you. The entrance is literally a walk-in freezer door just to the left of the stairs on the second floor, which adds to the fun speakeasy feel. We stopped in for pregame drinks before a nearby Yelp Elite event, and it did not disappoint. We were the only ones in the bar, and our bartender was fantastic, quick, friendly, and clearly knew his craft. I ordered a Paper Plane, a whiskey based cocktail with Aperol, lemon, and Amaro Nonino. It was perfectly balanced and the ideal drink to have after work. My fiancée ordered the Pornstar Martini, which she became very familiar with during a recent trip to Paris. The Wurst's version was a bit unorthodox since they serve the champagne on the side instead of as a floater on top. Not a negative, just different, and more of a deconstructed approach that some might treat like a chaser. Overall, The Wurst is a really cool concept bar that feels unlike anything else in Federal Hill. Between the hidden entrance, relaxed atmosphere, and quality drinks, it is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy creative cocktails and a good story to go with them.
