Loved the food but was not expecting the jump in prices. The menus listed on yelp state that the 4 piece wing and waffle dish was only $17 as of 10 months ago. However, their online menu now has this dish at $23. When I asked about the price discrepancy I was told that prices just increased a month ago. A $6.00 increase for chicken is a bit ridiculous. The chicken was freshly cooked and season to perfection and the waffle was very tasty. I would go back, but this will be a once in a while luxury at those prices. read more

I really don't like giving bad reviews, but I came to Rusty Pot when they kinda 1st opened up and the food was sooooo unimpressive, along with the owner's NASTY ATTITUDE!!! Firstly, we were out walking, lookin for a veggie food spot that was open and we ran across this new joint called RustyPot. I didn't look vegetarian, but it was clean, so we asked if they had a veggie burger and the woman said "Yes we do. I asked if they had wheat buns (they didnt) so I wanted the wheat bread... and do you know, this woman (the OWNER) argued AT ME about MY bread choices??!! There were about 5 different types SHE HAD to choose from, so I chose wheat. She snapped at me, saying, "WHEAT AIN'T GOOD FOR YOU! IT'S BAD FOR GUT HEALTH!!! YOU NEED WHITE SOURDOUGH!!" I kindly replied, "Well, why do you offer wheat if it's bad for you, ma'am? I dont really eat white bread anyway". She said, "I GIVE Y'ALL CHOICES, BUT THIS WHEAT BREAD IS STILL BAD FOR YOU!!" I'm standing there looking super-confused, as this grown woman is raising her voice, arguing AT me (because I'm wasn't arguing and I actually didn't reply to her anymore) about wheat bread vs white bread!!! I really was tryna give her a chance (even AFTER THE RUDNESS) since it's a Black-owned/WOMAN-owned business and I loove supporting my people. Mind you, there was no one else dining there and I could see why. The atmosphere was bland, too. We went on and reluctantly ordered our veggie burgers, which were okay. Then I kindly pulled sis to the side and quietly told her that "the conversation about the breads made me feel a bit uncomfortable and was kinda rude and shouldn't have even happened." She rudely defended her position on that white sourdough bread and continued to snap her neck and carry on. She even surprisingly told me that she was into health!! I couldn't tell by looking at her, but nevertheless I told her "God bless you" and we never went back there. The Rusty Pot was EXTREEEEEEEMELY DISAPPOINTING. I came here on a Sat. morning for breakfast. This restaurant is located in downtown Inglewood, the only parking that is available is meterd so bring your coins. It's a small & cozy restaurant with a very intimate setting. There are about 7 tables inside with two tables outside; five tables that seat four, three tables that seat two. There is no real decorum, plain & simple. They added a nice touch by adding artificial Lavender plants on each table. We were greeted & seated right away. We ordered the fish & grits; the fish was fresh, nicely seasoned with a nice flavor, great crunch, 1 scrambled egg, Rusty Pot Potatoes with 2 thin Turkey Sausage patties with sourdough toast which our server forgot to bring out...I had to finally ask one of the other servers to bring it to me. We eventually realized that our server was not attentive to our needs. In a nutshell, I think the food is, "so-so", with the limited seating & parking, over priced a bit, portions were smaller than I felt for the price...it's just not my cup of tea. read more

I got the shrimp and grits. It basically tasted like lemon grass with raw chucks of garlic and cheese sprinkled on top (there more garlic than cheese). I personally don't like lemon and will not be ordering this again. Its a good portion size. I got a side of egg, I got 2 eggs for $1.5, that's a good price and the toast is done very well. It is now called Waffles in Motion and the menu is basically waffles and chicken, shrimp etc. I was very disappointed when I went there with my husband to have our regular breakfast of eggs, grits, chicken wings and toast that they no longer serve along with a lot of other items. Haven't been to Rusty Pot Cafe since the pandemic hit. But had the opportunity to dine in today, the food is still very delicious and fresh. The waffle is very good comes served already with melted butter, the chicken wings are ever so delicious! And season with just the right amount of brine! Roscoes has nothing on Ms. Linda's chicken and waffles (sorry Roscoes IJS.....) It is still a small seating capacity,you may have a wait if you go at peak times, however, it is well worth the wait. The coffee is also treat and yes they have flavored creamer. Forgot to take pictures was so anxious to enjoy my food! Bathrooms are clean, parking can be hectic on Market street if you arrive at peak times. They are open 8am -2pm closed on Tuesdays. This is a Black Owned Business, if you're ever in the area I would give them a try you won't be disappointed . Our servers name was Melissa. Melissa was extremely sweet and helpful. When it came time to order I was torn between two choices and Melissa's helped me decide and I was pleased that I took her up on her recommendation. I chose the breakfast burger, and I replaced the home potatoes with cheesy grits. My friend ordered eggs, bacon, and potatoes, sourdough bread and we shared a Belgium waffle. The breakfast burger was amazing; it had avocado, thick hickory bacon, a fried egg and an angus beef patty on a wheat bun, I'd died and gone to heaven. The cheesy grits were just adequate. My friend loved her food as well. The waffles was perfection. It was crunchy on the puddle and light and fluffy inside. The prices were reasonable and the portion size fit the prices. Ok so there was only one server here at lunch time. Their set up for their waiting list is a joke. One group of people just came and sat down at the outside table when my name was on the list. Once I settled in my rental vehicle, I needed something to eat. I searched on yelp for"avocado toast" and Rusty Pot popped up close to my airbnb so I stopped by on Friday around 11 am. The restaurant is filled with 4 tables and 3 high tops. All of the tables were filled and I was seated when someone had just finished their meal. I did not find an avocado toast on their menu so I decided on their The Cali Grilled Chicken Omelet- Grilled chicken breast, roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions and Monterrey jack cheese paired together in a delicious omelet, topped with avocado. There was too much chicken in this omelet, I ended picking most of it out and really did not enjoy the omelet. I prefer my eggs/omelet with Cholula hot sauce but they only had a Louisiana hot sauce. The grits were absolutely delicious! The sourdough bread was so good I ordered had to order a 2nd slice. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. This cute mom and pop shop is located in the downtown area of Inglewood. There's not a lot of seating available inside, but I came here on Sunday morning around 11:30am and had no problems getting seated. I ordered the Jamble Scramble, which is basically an omelette but scrambled. I substituted the ham for green bell peppers and spinach. It already comes with mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. The melted cheese and sour cream on top were the icing to this entree. The Jamble Scramble is very filling, I ate half and boxed up the other half. Service was top notch. This mom and pop shop is efficient with the wait staff using iPads to order and pay. They'll bring the iPad to you, swipe your credit card, sign directly onto the iPad and you're good to go!
