We really enjoyed Keokias! Listened to music and played dominoes til food arrived. We got there a bit later and they close at 6 pm. We just got our food. Owner/Manager came out and assured us there was no rush. Real cool dude. Great service staff too. Food was good. So I ordered the fried catfish with 2 sides my sides where Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The combo cost 22.82. You get one nice sized catfish and the sides are nicely proportioned. The fish was fluffy seasoned well just a tiny bit more salty than I like but not overbearing. The mashed potatoes I feel needed butter but that's easy fix, now the mac n cheese wasn't my preference. I' don't care for the peoppered taste, it was little oily, and wasn't enough of a cheese pull for me. Overall I think the plate was worth the price. I'll try some other things on the menu. read more

I came in last week and placed an order at Keokias for the fried chicken wings the sides were macaroni and cheese, yams, and I got an extra side of greens. The order came with a slice of cornbread. Unfortunately I was not happy with the food. The yams were dried out It seemed like they have been sitting the macaroni and cheese was just macaroni and cheese no flavor no seasoning at all there was not cheese throughout the macaroni at all. The chicken I'm not sure if the chicken had been fried and they refried the wings again, I don't know. The greens had a little spice to it and the thin slice of cornbread was really the only thing I kinda enjoyed. With the extra side order I spent almost $30 on this food and I wasn't happy with it.. I expected better because of the good things I have heard about this place and I was disappointed and I feel like I wasted my money.
