We went for our anniversary, so we were expecting to spend some money. The food was good, and the service was great,we just didn't feel it was worth the price. $45 for a half pound of king crab legs, and NOTHING is included with the meal, except the pre-meal bread and butter. Not the potato, not a vegetable, not a salad. EVERYTHING is a la carte. $10 for some Brussels sprouts, $10 for a baked potato, etc. The decor was quaint, but it was loud in there. If you want to spend $200 on a nice meal, save your self some regret and go to Ti Amo, where they do it right-- with class, and plenty of food. read more

Ate here for lunch. I hade the ribeye steak sandwich on a crusty baguette with peppers and onions that were wonderful. Glazed carrots for my side. Wife had salad with sirloin strips and blue cheese dressing. I usually find that I could have done meals that steak houses provide just as good myself. Not true here. This was exceptional. Date night has been limited due to covid. We know this right? Despite the circumstances we decided to give this "new place" a try. As you walk in they have a small bar with a few high tops that serve from the full menu. Service at the bar was good. Live music flowing from the main dining area. Whenever we needed anything our bartender was prompt. Started off with the crabcakes, pretty good but the portion is a little on the small side for two. We split a wedge salad which was good. Salad came out a little underdressed but presentation was great and ultimately I would get it again. The sides are served family style so we decided to share the tomahawk steak, brussel sprouts and mushroom macaroni. All the portion sizes excluding the steak were a bit on the small side. The macaroni was not macaroni but really orzo. Why call it something that it isn't? Orzo is great so no need to misrepresent it by calling it macaroni. The sprouts were nice and tender with sprinkle of shredded Parmesan on top for an extra pop. The steak really needed more salt and pepper. It initially came out med rare instead of medium how we asked but they brought the heat up to it and made it enjoyable. Heavy duty prices for 3 star meal is a tough sell for me considering other local steakhouses. Give it a try, let me know what you think. read more

So we meet with another couple once a month to experience new restaurants. We reserved a table for four on Saturday, April 3rd at 6:00 p.m. Everything started well, they were ready and seated us immediately. Let me tell you from the beginning, the young lady who served us was outstanding! She kept up with all of our needs and really took care of us! The meal was everything we were hoping for. Ann's filet was perfect, my ribeye was flavorful. We had appetizers, salads, drinks, and dessert. The end of the meal is where things got a really surreal and poor. We were enjoying each other and the night; and not too soon after we sign our receipts the Assistant/Manager comes by and informs us that unfortunately he had other reservations and they needed the the table. We could finish our drinks, but they needed the table for other reservations. It was 8:15 p.m. and there were 4 open tables inside and all the tables outside were empty and only one couple was waiting. I thought it was fairly rude for a restaurant where we had just spent $250/night per couple. Other restaurants have permitted us to stay and chat/drink/mingle. In fact sometimes we have had to ask to make sure it was okay if we stayed. We know you need the tables. But please...right after the check, just leave. We left, and went to another location down the street to enjoy ourselves. Funny thing. When we were passing by about an hour later to get to our car, the restaurant was 3/4 empty and our table, the bar, and 5 other booths were empty. You get one star because of your outstanding wait staff; but your Management can find another profession. We are never coming back. read more

We ate at Rustic Chophouse this evening with a group of 7, all adults. I called to confirm our reservation earlier in the day. The evening didn't start great. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we weren't seated at our table until 6:51pm. The whole experience was rushed and we had to make our orders quickly, once seated. We ordered 4 appetizers, salads, 3 sides, and steaks. Some of the food was cold and some of the steaks weren't cooked to the proper temp, mostly, they were overdone. The food in general was OK, but not great. The orzo mac & cheese was outstanding but, this is a steakhouse, when the standout dish is a side dish, something is off. Our waiter didn't check on us for drinks, or anything else. We ordered drinks before dinner and were never asked if we'd like another. And, as soon as we finished our dinner, before the dishes were completely cleared, someone came to our table and asked us to leave because other reservations were waiting. The entire dinner for 7 guests at this caliber of restaurant shouldn't feel rushed and we shouldn't be asked to leave. It might have been a bad night and they might still be working out the kinks since they're new but, I expect better food, service, and scheduling. For now, we'll stick with the other high-end steakhouses in Tulsa. They're worth the drive and the slightly higher cost for a better experience. read more

We went here for Valentine's Day and even though we didn't have a reservation we took advantage of their open seating pub tables. We both ordered steak (filet and strip) and for our sides we had mashed potatoes and the mushroom mac and cheese. Dinner was so so good. 5-stars don't come easy for me, but Rustic Chophouse deserves it. Here why... 1. The meat is top quality at a reasonable price and cooked to perfection. Naturally-aged beef makes a difference and this place proves it. The Scottish Salmon Wellington was as good as anything served in Europe. The puff pastry was spot on, perfection. Another example of concentrating on making everything perfect, not just the steaks. 2. But what separates this place from just another steak place is the attention to not just the entree, but the sides. The wild mushroom mac was incredible. Great taste, the use or orzo pasta, and just enough seasoning and salt. The garlic whipped potatoes were sublime with just enough butter and air to make them a side that doesn't overpower the main entree or make the meal overly heavy. 3. Great service that was helpful, informative and didn't just visit us a few times, but enough that they paid attention to our needs. I'm extremely impressed with Rustic Chophouse. They're concentrating on small details and it's working. They could teach a thing or two to other Tulsa-area steak places that live on their past reputation instead of concentrating on consistent service and food. Well done, Rustic Chophouse. We had a wonderful experience here for our anniversary. Crystal was our server and she is excellent. We started with a Mt Fork beer and a Paloma. The Paloma was a refreshing drink and had a great balance of alcohol. My husband had the petite filet and said it was one of the best steaks he ever had. I had the Salmon Wellington which was delicious. We shared the asparagus, frites, and brussels sprouts. The decor was warm and inviting. Our server, Rachel, told us when we sat down that because we had moved from a table to a booth we would only have 1:10 hours to eat. Then she told us later she had moved things around to give us 30 minutes more, then told us the other reservation was here and we were in their table. We felt rushed and it created an uncomfortable situation. The food was good, not great for the price, but we felt we needed to hurry. I've waited tables for years and would have been fired if I ever mentioned anything like that to guests. I understand they have a small space but how is that our problem? Nice restaurant. A little small inside, but the food is good. It took a long time to get our food. I had a ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. The sides come family style, which is a bit of a turn off for me, but not a deal breaker. I would like to see a larger dessert menu. The atmosphere is awesome here. Nice on the inside. Friendly staff that provided great service. Unfortunately the food is good but not great. The steak was good well although I like a little more char on the outside. Flavor was ok . The bacon used in the salad and my baked potato had a sweet hint to it, maybe maple. By itself its good but paired with the baked potato it was kinda odd. We will probably give it another shot because the atmosphere and staff were so good. We decided last minute to come here for a Father's Day dinner and oh my goodness. It did NOT disappoint. Such high quality food in a comfortable atmosphere. For appetizers we had the crab cakes as well as lobster bisque and Caesar salad. Crab cakes-phenomenal, lobster bisque-phenomenal, Caesar salad- wow I didn't know Caesar salads were 10 times better with balsamic vinegar in the Caesar dressing. Entrees were even more amazing. 14 oz ribeye-so flavorful and the fat melts in your mouth. Filet mignon-could cut with a FORK. Breathtakingly tender. Crab legs, the hard work is done FOR YOU. All you have to do is take the meat out of the already open shell and dip that sucker in warm butter-AMAZING. For sides we got garlic parmesan frites, asparagus, and mushroom Mac. If you're not a mushroom fan- it's still a must try as two of us hate mushrooms but LOVED it. NO food felt extremely heavy or greasy. All were such high quality. Desserts, we tried one of each: creme brûlée, chocolate cake, bread pudding, and maple bacon cheesecake. Creme brûlée, so light and smooth, a solid go-to. Chocolate cake-for the chocolate lovers who want chocolate without it being dense or rich, was very light and fluffy. Bread pudding is the best I've ever had hands down as the bread wasn't too soggy and flavor was amazing. Maple bacon cheesecake is an interesting option which is definitely for you if you like unusual combos. Overall- PHENOMENAL food, would rank higher than Mahogany's and all staff is so friendly and created such a confortable atmosphere. This is a MUST TRY in Tulsa!!! read more

One star is for the decent service. The food is abysmal. I ordered some pasta concoction that had noodles + Brussels sprouts + grain mustard (??) + red onion + bacon + alfredo sauce served with a deep fried chicken & cheese torpedo labeled "chicken saltimbocca". The chef has obviously never read a book on pasta in his life or worked in even a chain Italian restaurant; it was the most disjointed, awful dish I've ever ordered off of a menu. My dinner companion had a steak that was served with an "herb butter" that tasted like straight seasoning salt. The beef and chips appetizer was a slap in the face. We knew after one app it was gonna go downhill but this was epic. Shameful menu, shameful execution. Never returning. Don't waste your money. read more

We've been to the Rustic Chophouse on several occasions since it's December opening. Such a pleasure to have a local entrepreneur open a distinctive, welcoming, well-run, customer oriented establishment. The service is impeccable. The crab cakes and mushroom Mac (mushroom risotto) are mouthwatering. The steaks are the same quality as the finest steak houses in the Tulsa metro area. A very nice upscale restaurant for BA. Service by Ty was excellent and he did a good job explaining various items and often refilling our water glasses. Four of us split two appetizers (Smoked Duck and Tuna Tartare) which were well prepared and tasty but too small for two people (other than a sizable taste). Presentation was excellent! Our entrees (Chop House Strip, 8oz Fillet Mignon, Chicken Saltimbocca and Tomahawk Pork Chop) were cooked to our specific orders...none of the meats were over or under cooked. Highlights were the optional sides. The Mushroom Mac (actually a classic orzo noodle in a sauce of at least two cheeses, (likely cream cheese, white cheese of some other type and a touch of blue cheese) was a hit all around the table!. At least one of us loves Brussel Sprouts (not me!) and those were sautéed to perfection...I even liked them! The Garlic Parmesan Fries were delicious but a touch limp. Overall, this is an excellent restaurant with the quality, presentation and taste of the appetizers, sides and entrees rivaling most of the upscale restaurants in Tulsa. My fiancé called at the first of the year to make us reservations for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately our reservation had to be rescheduled because of the snow storm. We rescheduled for the following Sunday at 6pm. We arrive and check in with the hostess who says she will check on our table. 20 min go by and we ask for an update. Hostess tells us it will be a bit longer and we are welcome to grab a drink at the bar, so we do. We sit a the bar until 7pm... an hour after our reservation time. We finally get a table and wait another 5 min to be greeted by our server. Our server acknowledged that we were very patient and thanked us. He asks if we would like any drinks or an appetizer. We ordered both. I had the RC Mule and my fiancé had the Whiskey Mango Tea. Both we're delicious! We had the Tuna tar tar for an appetizer. It was just okay...pretty basic. For our meal we both had the filet and we had the garlic mashed potatoes and the mushroom Mac. The food was good! For dessert we had the bread pudding, which was also yummy. When we got the check we noticed the drinks from the bar were not included. I think this was an over-site rather than them making up for us waiting an hour past our reservation time to get a table. Our server did not mention that he took those off the bill or anything of the sort. I was really hoping they would go out of their way to make up for the fact that we had to wait so long. People that walked in with no reservation were being served faster than us by sitting at the bar. My fiancé went out of his way to make sure we had a special night by calling ahead to get reservations, but this proved to not make a difference. Overall the food was okay and the service/experience was not good. Not sure if we will be back. Pretty disappointing because we were excited to have a nice steakhouse in the area. read more

Meh. It's a quiet environment, very romantic, but I spent over $150 on just my portion of a meal and the best part about it was the smoked duck appetizer, the surf and turf left me unsatisfied. Just moved back to Tulsa from Denver so took the wife out for our first date night and this place was awesome! You need to be starving as I was one of the fullest I have ever been after leaving. We shared everything, got the smoked duck appetizer, very unique and delicious! Next was lobster bisque, which we order everywhere it is offered, and this was the best lobster bisque I have ever had! Also split the wedge salad, super great as well. For the main we split the tomahawk ribeye, and while it was amazing looking, it was a little much. 44 ounces could have fed 4-5 of us, so had lots of leftover and for a ribeye it was too thick, probably 4 inches, the edges were a little chewy. Next time will get a filet. Mashed potatoes as a side, would highly recommend. Got the bread pudding for dessert and it was the best ever! Definitely big enough to share. Drinks got the specialty mule and whisky tea and both were absolutely amazing! Service was fantastic as well! Overall great experience and will be back soon for sure! read more
