Here I am, four years later. Pizza is still great. Service is good. New addition since my last visit is a couple new tables and chairs inside. I also for the first time tried the FRITZ(pizza puff) and it did not disappoint.although it was kind of soggy, probably due to me taking an extra 15 min to pick up the order. I ordered it baked but I'm sure fried is just as good and if not better. Pizza was perfectly thin and topped with generous amounts of sausage and pepperoni. I try to get here once a week. Cracker thin crust with a nice char edge. Sauce is very good, and you got to get the sausage! This company supplies their sausage to many pizza places around and for good reason! Perfect amount of fat with a fine grind. Wow this pizza is excellent!! Cooked to perfection, the crust is just right not too thin and not to thick. Had a sausage and mushroom pizza and let me tell yeah this right up there with one of the best pizzas I ever had. We asked if we could eat there not really a full service restaurant more for pick-ups. But either way they were very accommodating and friendly. These fellas are great and the pizza is a 10! Medium thin crust sausage and cheese: well done, burnt edges-the way we like it. A generous about of ingredients and more of a sweeter sauce. A good thin crust, but not the crispiest crust. I ordered dinner from Russo's tonight on Door Dash. My partner and I were craving pizza, and we wanted to support a local business instead of a chain. Neither one of us has ever had this place yet since moving here a year ago. We ordered their large 16 inch pizza and added pepperoni as a topping. I love how crispy the crust is, and the toppings are also really generously and evenly distributed throughout the pizza. My two critiques is the burnt flavor and it being a little too heavily seasoned for me. I also ordered their garlic bread -- I love the smell and natural taste of the garlic cloves, I can tell that it's authentic and not garlic butter or some kind of spread which I can appreciate. The edges of the bread were crispy too. However, the bread is really tough at the center where the butter meets the bread. I do have to make clear that this experience is through takeout delivered to me, so it's not as accurate as if I were to dine in. I'll have to come back and try it in person at some point to see if it's still the same. Other than those minor critiques, it's a very delicious pizza and they have a really good variety of options on their menu. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for thin crust pizza. read more

I thought I wrote a review for Russo's a few years back. Maybe Yelp's automatron removed it. I love this pizza. It's a thin crust and the sauce is sweet. I always order the biggest size (family?) and throw it in the fridge if I don't finish it. It's pretty good cold. It looks like they may have had table service back in the day but that's gone now. There are seats and an old TV to watch if you are waiting on the pizza but I'd term this place as carryout only. Did I mention the pizza is great? Best pizza in the neighborhood, hands down. Always cooked perfectly, never need to ask for "well done". This is the iconic Chicago thin crust, served in a bag with a liter of RC. Heavier that Vito and Nick's or Fox's, but not too heavy like Beggars. Similar to Phil's in Bridgeport, as a point of reference. Be sure to use the coupons off the website.
