I ordered a couple of thin crust pizzas and they did not disappoint! I will definitely be a returning customer!

I've been looking for a really good pizza closer to home--one that doesn't require a drive all the way to Oak Lawn. I'm looking at you, Palermo's. I may have found it at Oh Boy Pizza. We ordered a thin-crust pizza with spinach, green pepper, half sausage, along with an order of onion rings. The pizza was excellent: a crisp, cracker-style crust with just the right amount of char, a sweet but not overpowering tomato sauce, good-quality toppings (would like more, though), and just enough grease to remind you that pizza is supposed to be a little indulgent. Now, don't get carried away--I'm not saying it's exactly like Palermo's. It's more like if Vito & Nick's and Palermo's had a baby. The onion rings were okay, although I'm still searching for something like the ones from the long-closed Hickory Pit. Overall, I really enjoyed the pizza and will definitely be back. read more

We had power lost and was recommended Oh Boy pizza and oh boy was it delicious!!! We got the basic cheese thin crust and we loved how crispy and crunchy it was. We didn't ask for well done but was glad they overcooked it. So be aware that it might happen but a pleasant surprise. The sweet sauce was so yummy and we will definitely be going back again at this hole in the wall, pick up only little pizza place! read more

Just moved to the Palos area and up the road is Oh Boy pizza. I had no prior knowledge of it but it looked like a nice tavern style pizza. It is done quickly, has appropriate amounts of toppings and solid crust. I would recommend getting it uncut. Due to the sauce they use it is highly oily especially if you get pepperoni. I have had it twice now and am looking forward to getting it again the future. read more

I came back here after a while and I forgot how good it was. I ordered a jalapeño and chicken pizza and a pepperoni and garlic pizza it did not disappoint ! read more

I moved further away from the city last year and haven't been able to find a good pie, which means I haven't had a really good pizza since then! I visited my parents over the holiday weekend and we grabbed a couple pizzas from Oh Boy. Not only did it hit the spot, I can confidently say it's some of the best I've had. Not greasy, not overly bready and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. Still wish I still lived closer sometimes. read more

I heard that oh boy pizza was under a new ownership so I decided to give it a try. I tried it in the past and was not pleased, but the new owner is a family man who turned this place around. The service was great and the food was better. It really sucks how many one star reviews there are since this place has made a full 180 and gotten much better. read more

ive eaten this pizza since I was 10. I'm now 33. This pizza does NOT disappoint. It's thin, crispy, and delicious every time. everything From here is!!!!! read more

Ok, SERIOUSLY.... This is the BEST Pizza EVER! The owner is AMAZING! Half price Monday and Tuesday on the party pizza. The sauce on the pizza is delicious. It is a hint of sweetness. I always order extra sauce. Everyone loves this pizza when they come for a visit. Great delivery. I don't believe their is sit in. A+++++++ What are you waiting for order it today!!! read more

Great deal on Monday and Tuesday Great part is I live around the corner and if you like tavern style pizza this a a very good option. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the sauce is a bit sweeter than I like but that is my personal taste preference. read more

I've gotten my hair braided next door to this place twice, and I wanted to check them out. I ordered a small sausage, extra sauce, & well done. I was the only patron at the time, and they took care of me immediately and were very pleasant. I was advised it would take 20 minutes, which it did. I took the pizza to the car and ate it hot. Everything was fresh and prepared correctly. Unfortunately, yes, there's an unfortunately: I didn't like the sauce, it was too sweet to me. I don't like sweet pizza. I would definitely recommend it for others to try, but I wouldn't order it again. read more

Some of the best pizza on the south side and by extension the world with friendly and hardworking staff.

Great pizza! We got a jumbo sausage well done. Bottom was nice and crispy. My 2 year old son kept demanding more! We will add to our pizza rotation. read more

First time ordering from Old Boy Pizza it was okay. Mushrooms were fresh but there was something not right. Watery tasting or no flavor with dough like it didn't have something. Not sure I couldn't pin point it. read more

I used to like eating here, but I came to pick up one day and I paid cash and the man making the pizzas handled my cash and went back straight to sprinkling cheese on the pizza he was making.....HE DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS Sucks to write this review but this was very unsanitary!!! read more

Finally had the chance to try this pizza, and I must say it did not disappoint! Definitely one of the Best pizza's I've ever had! The thin crust with golden brown cheese, perfect sweet sauce, and tasty sausage was cooked to perfection and I absolutely loved it! Ordered delivery, and the pizzas were delicious, all orders followed perfectly. Fairly quick, and the bake of their pizzas were superb.

Tried them last week on Friday first time pizza was as black as coal and barely any meat on beef sandwich which was hard. There is no way this was a mistake someone knew exactly what they were doing. paid $60 on charge card for this garbage. Inspect your food before accepting it. read more

Strictly take out. Pizza was good but would have been better if the place was a little closer to our house. When we re heated the pizza it tasted a lot better because the crust was not soggy. Would definitely try again at a later date. read more

Tried pizza for 1st time. It was a quality made pie. Got the 16 inch sausage. I liked the crumbly sausage, good cheese and the crust was very crispy but the sauce is a little too sweet for my taste. Not super sweet but to much for my pallet. For half price it is great deal on Tuesday. Im sure they have lots of fans. read more

This was my first time trying this restaurant and let me say I'm a big fan of bag pizza so they won me over already. They known for their sauce being on the sweeter side. The sweetness wasn't overwhelming. The pie was cooked perfectly. The only flaw was a lot of the middle piece were cut smaller than my liking and the crust is extra thin. Those things aside this is a solid pie and they have half off on Monday and Tuesday for their family and jumbo size pizzas. The taste also reminded me of a pizza place on 113th & Halsted called Joeys that I loved as a kid. This is good pizza! read more

Great thin crust pizza at a reasonable price. Quick service. I will be a returning customer.

Very good pizza. It has a bit of the sweet sauce taste (much like Palarmos in Oak Lawn. Not as sweet, but in the ballpark. I will order again. read more

Great pizza! Will certainly come back again. Perfectly cooked classic Chicago pie. Great experience.

Green peppers are sautéed! Best pizza I've had in years. One guy is a bit moody, but probably because he knows his pizza is top. Don't skip this gem. read more

Worst pizza. So bland and so expensive. Sauce has NO flavor. Everything tastes premade and from a can.

The best cracker crust pizza around!!! Sauce is sweet and delicious.... Very addictive!!! Wish they would have a sit down place .. that would be awesome!!! read more

I am basing this rating ONLY on the pizza, as I am not very familiar with their other food items. The last few times I ordered the pizza from here, I feel that it has actually been pretty tasty. The sauce has a sweeter kind of taste to it but I don't think they overdo it with the sugar. And the value for your money is good. Half-price pizzas on both Mondays and Tuesdays here, which is virtually unheard of. Only a couple of complaints. 1) At times the pizza can be rather greasy. Might want to look into that. And 2) I do wish they would enable online ordering. I get tired of being yelled at on the phone with the typical "I can't hear you! Can you talk louder?" and consequently having the spelling of my name being totally botched on the orders. You might find that having online ordering will actually make your job EASIER, so stop fighting it already and get into the modern age. Anyway it looks like I can't give a 3.5 rating so a 3 it is. read more

Good pizza, consistent cherry alway hot. Speedy delivery. Try the oh boy special. 1/2 price Mon and Tuesday

WORST PIZZA PLACE EVER! Super necessary that I post. After waiting an hour on a Tuesday night to pick up my order with company waiting at the house I arrive to find out my order was never made. Misplaced apparently. Given 2 options: pay in full and wait another hour in the parking lot or have it delivered and can take up to 2 hours Hmmm ... meanwhile I have company at home waiting. Domino's it is. By the way... I can only imagine what customers go through on Friday & Saturday nights with this place. Give it a try at your own risk. read more

I have been a regular at Oh Boy Pizza for years. More recently, we have been ordering their half price pizza on Monday's. Yesterday, we found a pretty large hair in our pizza with about 1/3rd left. I called and talked to the manager and very nicely told him what happened. His responses to this issue included: "Well I'm glad you finished most of the pizza and it didn't ruin your meal." "I'm not sure what you want me to do about it. "Next time we will hold the hair." Needless to say, Oh Boy just lost a 30 year regular customer. For the future, maybe a discount code, a free pop, an apology, anything to show that you actually care about your customers might help your business. read more

I have been ordering pizza's and appetizers for over 10 years from Oh Boy Pizza. I have never had a bad experience nor have I ever had a bad pizza. The pizzas are outstanding and I believe it's all about the sauce and his sauce is amazing! The owner Gary is always a lot of fun on the phone and always helps with whatever you need. He remembers his longtime customers and takes very good care of them, but he has been doing that from day one. We just used Oh Boy Pizza once again for our many parties. We ordered 10 pizzas and each one of them was outstanding and they were prompt about making sure we get our pizzas on time for our party. Everyone in our party kept asking where we got the pizzas from they were Delicious! I highly recommend Oh Boy Pizza! You should check them out on Mondays and Tuesdays he offers half-price pizzas. Get the party, because you're going to wake up the next day wanting more! read more
