I'm really happy to share this review. I happened to try this place on a hungry day at the house and ordered a pizza on UberEats. The pizza was hot and so delicious. I instantly made it a favorite on the UberEats app. My husband and I got married on 7/3/22 and we needed to return the rented tux soon thereafter and low and behold, we noticed that the Barracco's is right by the tux place so we decided to stop and dine in on 7/5/22. It's a big place - we got there early afternoon and was surprised that it wasn't busy. We ordered the Bruschetta (I asked for some balsamic vinegarette sauce to put on top), Chicken Wings in hot and bbq and a large sausage, mushroom and onion large pizza. Everything was really yummy! We had plenty to take home. Service was good and it was pretty quiet in the establishment. We will definitely continue to patronize this restaurant. Thank you Barracco's! A++!! read more

The food isn't the best especially compared to their prices. I've stopped ordering just because the last two times have been so terrible, I had gotten a pasta dish and it was smothered in a disgusting amount of garlic after they had sent my father back and forth to evergreen and mount greenwood claiming he hadn't put in an order when I legit watched him call the mount Greenwood location. On 7/9/23 we ordered a family size veggie pizza with additional ingredients. The meat, fresh spinach, fresh garlic and fresh basil were considered as two ingredients. The price came out to over $50. I should have followed my first mind and cancelled my order but we were hungry and I thought that we can have left overs. Got the pizza home and it was the blandest pizza we ever had. We were so disappointed. I had to doctored the pizza up with seasoning and shredded cheese from home to make it tasty and they forgot the garlic. I could have saved us $40 and got a better tasting Cheese pizza from Aldi and called it a day. I spoke with the manager on 7/10/23 and he said that we should have called back in to complain and also brought the pizza back. He will inform the other night managers about my complaint but there is nothing he can do about it. My husband and I ordered from Barraco's from time to time. Ordered a pan of chicken for a Christmas Party. The chicken was horribly dry and hard to swallow. I was the first person. To pick up chicken so it should of been fresh, but I think it was left over chicken from the day before that they tried to heat up. read more

Recently hosted a baby shower at this location. Location, food, and ambiance were perfect. Service, from the point of booking the party until the end of the shower, was very poor. Management was rude and seemed very bothered when asked questions regarding pricing, decor rules, etc. for the party. Did not seem interested in having our business at all. Nonetheless, decided on this location because food and space met my needs. During the party however, servers were extremely inattentive. Did not refill water, never went to tables to take orders for pop, coffee, etc. included in the price of the package for the party. Unfortunately, my guests then did not take advantage because they did not know. Also, plates were cleared faster than people could even finish their food. Servers were not attentive to make sure buffet was filled until every guest was served, and did not even make any of the hosts aware food was ready to be served. Automatic 20% too was included in the cost, but we did not receive service that deserving of that amount. I would not recommend anyone host a party here based on this experience. I have attended parties at other Barraco's location with superb service. Unfortunate that this location fell short because it is a beautiful space. read more

DONT ORDER CATERING! This is a shame I have to write this. I've ordered catering from Baracco's for years and after the food I received last....NEVER AGAIN! I ordered the chicken, beef and mostaccioli catering package for my sons birthday. Everyone who ate was sick with vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. I initially thought it was the chicken though because it was very dry. When I finally regained somewhat of an appetite later the next evening, I pulled the refrigerated beef out from my fridge. Upon opening the lid to the beef I immediately knew something was wrong. The beef wasn't cooked thoroughly and was swimming in red blood colored juice. I called Baracco's to let them know and was first hung up on, and then when I called back was dismissed and told "we always cook our beef to the proper internal temperature." by Jennifer, a manager. When I complained that this is apparently not the case, she told me she would let Daniella know and then hung up on me....not even taking my phone number. I was at this restaurant and ordered the chicken wings. They came and were cold and the chicken was not fresh. I told the waitress that I did not want the food and she stayed that it could nir be returned. I asked if it could be substituted and she stared no. I asked for a manager and Karley stayed that that it had to be paid for. I told her the issue was not paying for the food, but being able to enjoy what I was eating. So in my opinion 3 stars is very generous for the food I just ate, but my husband requested an extra star from my 2 rating because he thought today was just an off day then for them. This was my first time eating here and the food was mediocre at best. My husband has eaten here a few times and said that it is usually much much better. The pizza was severely over cooked. Believe it or not I'm not here to talk about Pizza. Barracos has one of the better beef sandwiches on the southside. The sandwich's gravy has a slight reddish tint to it, which leads me to believe there is some marinara thrown in. It adds a nice rich flavor. My family booked a holiday party for Christmas 2020. We gave a deposit and then due to surging COVID, both Illinois Dept of Public Health and city of Chicago had restrictions on parties greater than 10 people and we were forced to cancel. We notified Barracos and were told we could not get a refund because at that time they were still hosting parties. Despite the restrictions. We have been long time supporters of Barracos pizza both in Evergreen Park and Mt. Greenwood. We completely understand the stress of the pandemic on businesses and have done our best to be supportive throughout this time. We are not asking for a refund, but just the money in credit for future pizza use. But the harsh and unprofessional response from the staff was very disappointing. Wow never experienced such disrespect and horrible customer service . The bartenders clearly saw my friend and I come In and sit at bar, they intentionally ignored us for 20 min , no welcome greet or menu . When I got up to speak to the woman at the front (host), she had a dry nonchalant stare , I informed her about the wait I was enduring just to receive a menu . She said one minute she will go talk to the bartender , when she went over and talk with her , the bartender smirked and they continued thier conversation for 5 min till my friend and I just got up and left . The host and bartender still were thier talking at end of bar and just watched us get up to leave. I was there for a couple of minutes when a couple of Caucasian people came in together and waited at the hostess stand near me. I decided to try this location based on the reviews. I usually never order deep dish but I was in the mood for something different. I ordered from Uber eats. The delivery was very fast. The pizza was just ok. It was more like bread with cheese, toppings and sauce on top. There was a lot of bread , more bread than toppings. I was not impressed. After ordering here for over twenty years, I can say that the pizza is good and delivery is fast, and once in a while, I'l stop by for two slices to go, which are always good. I've been a huge fan of Barraco's Pizza for over 20 years. On Veteran's Day I had guests and decided to order pizza. The Mount Greenwood location is closest, so I attempted to order on-line. The system wouldn't process the order, so I placed my order via the phone. I was told I didn't get the 15% discount ordering over the phone, and I should print off a coupon for the delivery person if I wanted the discount. The manager was very rude. There was no printable online coupon, so I called again. The young lady who answered said, "Well I guess we don't have one." The manager was requested, and he said the same ridiculous "no coupon" thing. They were both condescending, arrogant and unhelpful. I cancelled my order. I called the Barraco's on 95th near Western. I have lunch there regularly and they don't have the same bias attitudes of Mount Greenwood. They were happy to provide the 15% discount and my pizzas were delivered - HOT! This location is only for certain people I clearly am not one of them. I noticed there were several negative reviews where the reviewers are Black. This isn't by chance - it is Mount Greenwood. read more
