Stay away from this place! It's become our worst nightmare!! This is the worst representation of Verizon! Chris McPherson will make all kinds of promises, lie through his teeth, not return phone calls or texts & he will give u info in writing but it's not worth the paper it's written on. He switched us from Verizon consumer to Verizon business claiming that our bill would be half but in reality our bill more than doubled. It hasn't been the same amount for 6 months straight. After 25 years at T-Mobile, we decided to switch due to what we thought was a better deal. We were wrong! The people at Verizon / Russell Cellular, 3848 Sun City Blvd , STE 106 were terrible. They give you the wrong information, wrong prices, order the wrong product for you and refuse to change their mistake without another huge bill..Totally unprofessional and absolutely no customer service. There is very little to no inventory on what product you want etc . We went back to the store to get a copy of our receipt and they refused us in The Managers words "it ain't gonna happen" real professional, right? I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone unless you want to be lied to and given wrong information. We finally got our bill partially corrected through Verizon Corporate but had to go through several calls to get it done. I don't think the store even knows what they're doing. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. All they're interested in is selling a product, then you're on your own. I saw no effort or concern regarding all the issues we had. This is a terrible representation for Verizon. I'm sure I'll be returning to T-Mobile soon...also, be prepared to pay $40. per item purchased for "setup to success" and an additional $40 charged by Verizon corporate for "activation".....we were charged $320. just to get 2 phones and 2 watches activated...the Sun City store would do nothing regarding this exorbitant fee.....luckily Verizon customer service (after numerous calls) removed their portion of the 320....making the total we paid to the local store $160. for their "set up for success" fees. This company will screw you over big time and lie about it. I gave them a trade in for $1,000 credit they lost it and said I never did when it's on camera then the manager Dominic lied about it before he quit the area manager doesn't respond or reach out. Ordered cell phone, promised it would be there in 2 days. Leaving for a month and was assured the phone would be there in 2 days. After 5 days no phone! When I went into the office today, the order was never shipped even though Verizon has already starting billing me for the new device. Now I have to go to Brandon to the Verizon Corporate office to correct this mess. Long time Verizon Wireless customer never had such poor service. Suggest never to patronize this store. read more

My husband and I have had excellent interaction with this store. The store manager, Andrew, is very helpful. He showed us how to get the replacements for our phone screen protectors (according to our warranty), and offered to put them on for us, demonstrating an excellent attention to detail when doing so, getting rid of ubiquitous lint. He also gave us very good information on the Apple 12 and mini iPhones, which we ordered, and how our Verizon bill would change. Andrew also did an excellent job of transferring my husband's information/apps from his now prior iPhone. My new phone is scheduled to arrive on Friday, so I anticipate the same service for my phone's information/apps transfer. read more

Came in and made a payment to upgrade my Verizon service plan. My phone would not work and the employees there refused to help me restore my service. I had to call Verizon customer service to resolve my issues. When I called the store back the representative was rude and blamed another employee. He repeatedly cut me off mid sentence and told me he couldn't help me. This is the last time I will come here and I hope others stay away as well. read more

I had gone into this store because of convenience, but not anymore. The young person working on Saturday morning had helped me before and now I know it is his temperament to be condescending, patronizing and rude, not just him having a bad day. He also sold me my phone which was a big mistake. I should have never given him the ability to make a commission off of my purchases. I will never go into the Sun City Center, FL store again and will drive the extra few miles to Apollo Beach to take care of my phone. Hire people that are there to help your coustomers. The one this Saturday morning is there to make your customers as miserable as he seems to be. read more

Horrible experience. Staff seems not only unhelpful but unknowledgeable about Verizon services. I was forced to change my phone number when I got a new phone even though it was a previous VERIZON phone. The Representative simply didn't know what he was doing yet was the only person working in the store at the time. Verizon itself apologized repeatedly for this misinformation and major mistake as I was unable to revert back to my original number. It seems training is lacking at the Russell Cellular Corporation. I ultimately had to return the devise I bought after I was misled on the monthly cost. I ultimately would have paid almost $60 more per month than I was informed. All of this among other problems. I will never step foot inside a Russell Cellular again. I am contemplating switching to AT&T. read more
