I have an external hard drive which has all my important footage and data on it. I dropped the external hard drive on a hard floor and it got all messed up. I was told by my computer shop Silver Springs Computer that nothing could be done that everything was lost. That was horrible news, I took it over to The Techfix and they saved most of the data, they were so AWESOME. From now on they will be the ones working on my computer. Thank you Techfix! read more

I dropped my iPad two days before leaving town on a two week trip. The screen was cracked and pieces of glass littered my tile floor. I figured I was out-of-luck and would have to survive on my iPhone for the next two weeks. I searched for places to repair the screen and found Tech Fix about 10 minutes away. I called them, explained what had happened, and they gave me a reasonable quote for repair. When I brought the iPad in, they told be they could have it fixed by the end of the day. Walked in there with a smashed iPhone 5s screen. I like the phone, its small and paid for ..... so why not get it repaired. The replaced the screen and put on a screen guard for $39 + tax ... and they did it in one hours time! That's better than paying up to $1,000 for a new phone which is too large for my liking. read more

I recently dropped by Sony Xperia Z2. Broke the screen and the touch no longer worked. I checked with several places for repair and got quotes ranging from $140 to $210 to fix it. Being told the replacement parts where at least $100 dollars if I were lucky. Checked for parts to attempt to repair the phone on my own, and could not find anything over $62. When I reached out to Tech Fix, I was not expecting to have much luck. However, they quoted $99 to fix the phone. My phone has seals to break, parts that are easy to break, seals to redo. So I assume some care and skill need to be applied when doing this repair. So even if they pay the most expensive amount I could find for replacement parts, it would mean a good deal for labor. When I finally got to take my phone to the store, I was greeted with a very well mannered young man and was treated with respect. The store was clean, and he even apologized for not having the replacement parts in stock already. I look forward to getting my phone back. Will update this review when I do. So far though, I am very happy with this store. They are not trying to rip me off as several others seem to be doing. Update: 6/14/2015 Called to find out if my phone was ready, and was told that it was. Went to pick it up and it looked great. They turned it on and told me to check it out. All looked good, however, the touchscreen did not work. So they have to order a new touchscreen. It was disappointing to realize the phone was not tested after the repair. Now I have to wait another few days to get my phone back. This, I am not happy about. That is a loss of two stars. Depending on how I am treated when I go back to pick up the phone for a second time. read more

I wouldn't even give 1 star, but I had to rate. My rating is: Don't waste your time... find another cell phone repair. I dropped my iPhone in water and found Tech Fix a local company that advertised fixing water damaged phones. I decided to give them a chance rather than going to IHospital. That was the biggest mistake i made. I went in, told them what happened, and they said it could be a simple screen change but it would be a couple hours and they would call me. I was happy when I left. But that all changed when couple hours went by and I didn't get that call. I called them and to my surprise I was told they hadn't gotten to my phone due to the fact they got busy after I left and it would be another day or 2 before than could fix it. . Nice right!!! So basically my simple repair was put aside to fix others phone, or someone was more important to me. So much for first come first served. I thought giving a local business a chance over a well know established chain would be good for the company. Well it is but not at my cost. I will be going to IHospital, and never go back. read more

Fixed a computer for me that everyone else said could not be done and he did it cheap

They took 3 weeks to give my tablet instead of the 5 days they initially said and in that time they didnt call to tell me or apologize about the delay and then they over charged me for it. I would have been better off just going to someone else. Worst customer service. read more
