I called Alafia Computers and was immediately impressed by how friendly and helpful they were. They even took my cell number and texted me photos of the different options they had in stock so I could choose the right one before coming in. I was in and out of the store in just a couple of minutes. Quick, easy, and super convenient. Shops like this are exactly why we need to support local businesses. This part wasn't available for pickup at Best Buy, Staples, or anywhere else nearby. Without Alafia, I would've been stuck waiting at least a day for Amazon. Instead, I was back to building within the hour. Highly recommend!

When I stepped in to clarify, I was told " that's not how cables work". Rather than taking time to listen, explain or offer guidance, the interaction became dismissive. Even though I desperately needed the help - I walked into Alafia Computer store with someone that didn't care to assist. As a customer, I understand I may not have the technical knowledge, and my son was simply trying to assist. There is no need to make us feel uncomfortable/ awkward. I won't be returning to this store.

As a freelance court reporter and independent contractor working from home in Gibsonton, Florida,…read moretaking depositions via Zoom 50 percent of the time and the other 50 percent also covering in-person jobs, having my computer working and running in tip-top shape at all times is extremely critical for my job. Recently, I started having different types of issues with the specialized court reporting software that I've used for a very long time, which included issues with my audio files that are recorded for each deposition I take, as well as my computer running extremely slow and freezing up in general. My first call was to the technical support team that my specialized software provides when needed. The tech said that I needed to buy a new computer with an SSD hard drive instead of an HDD hard drive and it needed to have a lot more memory than my computer. The laptops that are currently recommended for court reporters are very expensive, anywhere from $1200 to $3000. Rather than buying a brand-new computer, I decided to find a computer guru to advise and possibly revamp my old computer. One Google search, one phone call,, and I have landed myself an outstanding company to work with now and in the future. Not only was the service awesome, but Mr. Taycher, the owner of Geek2Rescue, was extremely pleasant to work with. I took my laptop to him on a late Friday afternoon wherein he installed a brand-new SSD hard drive, a ton of additional memory, and did all the cleanup and maintenance that was needed. I got a phone call from him the next afternoon, Saturday, that it was ready to be picked up. I was totally shocked but very happy and impressed how quickly he was able to do all of that, not to mention how INCREDIBLY affordable it was. I highly recommend Geek2Rescue and Gary Taycher for any PC repair issues you may have! I will continue to use their services from here on out. M. Manley, CCR, LCR.
