I broke my iphone 6plus screen while moshing in a pit at Pre-Fest this week at the Against Me show. I am traveling and was devastated. I figured I'd have to work with this "spider app" the entire time I was away...but my friend showed me a place called "My Broken Phone" in Winthrop Towne Center. Brought our phone in to get a new screen. They said would be ready in three to four hours but would call when done. Never called but we didn't worry because their voice message said they are open on Sundays. They are not. Finally got phone on Monday and they put the wrong SIM card back in and could not find ours as well as a scratched screen. Reason for the scratched screen from them is that they were going to give to us free of charge so they took off the new screen and put a used one on it. They were great! I thought that only my front screen was cracked. After removing the case, it was discovered that the back was shattered, and the frame was broken . I originally got a quote for just the front screen repair. They also replaced the back and frame for 50% cost of the back piece. There was no extra charge for the new frame or extra labor. I stopped in to get a quote to replace my iPhone 7 port as I had been having trouble charging and could not get a connection to stay in place to listen to music with my ear buds. The owner or employee (not sure which) greeted me excitedly, and was vey kind to explain it was mere pocket lint. He quickly cleaned out the port, checked it worked and gave it back free of charge. Wow! He could have very easily told me I needed a new port and charged me $15-$20 for the part and labor costs on top of that and I would have not questioned him. This place will scam you! I had my iPad repaired here and was told there is a 90 day warranty. It had a crack in the screen within a week. When I took it in to have them repair it again, they refused saying I broke it and would not honor the warranty. Go to this place at your own risk! read more

Can I give them 5-1/2 stars please? A few weeks later and my Siri / voice recognition mic isn't working. Walked in and they fix it on the spot gratis. It's possible that this was something related to my cracked screen replacement. But it's possible it isn't. Regardless, no questions asked, their employee went to work and had it working in minutes. I asked him how much iPhone 4s are since I have a home security app that uses anything 4 and up. He advises me to look for a "blacklisted" one because I'll never need to activate it and it'll save me big &$. Seriously this place is amazing.
