I've been here several times and have never had a bad drink or meal. I love the rum punch, duck empanadas and tacos! Their salads are all very tasty too and the view is amazing no matter what time of year. read more

By far the best tacos I've had. For the table we chose the Caribbean wings, Dominican ribs and the duck empanadas to start. Everything was simply delicious. As far as the meal I had 3 tacos. I chose skirt steak, carnitas and pulled pork. Don't skip the dessert the key lime pie and the praline cheese cake was delicious. Our server Nico was amazing. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Don't miss this place, but try to visit out of season or expect to wait a long time to get a seat. read more

Loved it! I had the tacos and they were delicious. Only downside was that it was crowded, but that's to be expected with a restaurant with good food. read more

Winter is not a great time to go, because it's not as lively, but it does make for a more comfortable atmosphere and enjoyable dinner. Bar drinks are good, food is good, and atmosphere is good. Service is good too. Not the best place in the area, but not the worst. I wouldn't wait around for a long time for a seat, i would just go back when it's less busy. Parking is a pain in the butt so be prepared! read more

Love it! Great food everytime. Chill vibes to be had and the tacos are always a treat. Great water views and the drinks are delicious. If you are in Hampton Bays dont skip this treasure of a place. read more

This is a really special place! Fun atmosphere, especially in the warmer weather, with the deck and dock in back overlooking the water. The service is good. I recommend making reservations weekend nights, again, especially summer - this place gets busy. I got to eat in the bus in the back on one occasion and it was so cool, intimate, unique! The food is delicious, coconut risotto is to die for, the tacos are all excellent. Check this place out! read more

The key lime cocktail is an amazing drink and the whole vibe of the restaurant is very welcoming! Visit during the day and seat yourself on the deck by the bay. read more

Patriotic red sauce jerk chicken, white coconut risotto, blue agave margarita. Outatanding views, attitudes.

The location is amazing. You get sit and eat with a view of the water. Their staff are very attentive and friendly. If you come here you must get the Dominican Ribs, the other reviews don't lie! The meat literally comes right off the bones and other than it being pretty burnt in some spots, I have no complaints. As for appetizers, I can't really say since we ordered the daily specials. Don't get the tacos, it's literally just meat on a taco shell & nothing else. read more

This restaurant is really cool. The Caribbean decor somehow works, even though you're in Long Island, and the food is delicious. The service was good - not spectacular - but good. Rumba is on the water, so the views are really relaxing. We will definitely go back and take our visitors when they come. read more

I just ate the best ribs in my life. Fairly expensive, but my family and I had an excellent meal.

SImply amazing. Great food and drinks. Menu has very good variety and we ended up getting a few apps and a couple different tacos so we could try as much as possible. Ribs are amazing, cooked perfectly and the sauce is awesome. Same goes for the tacos, great sizes and very flavorable. Drinks are very good and huge. read more

I love Rumba. I love the RUM Punch. Get the large and relax. Great Reggae. Tip the valet guy!

Perfect Evening. Everything we tried was awesome - duck empanadas, grilled artichoke, crab cake salad (loved the frisée & papaya), tacos. We are Austin foodies and we're really surprised to find the flavor of our favorite cuisine up here in NY! Quite well done. And the passion fruit piña colada is to die for. read more

Hit this place up for late lunch, early dinner. Wow...great choice. Sitting with a water view outside. Great breeze. Big Sangria and rum punch. All the food was great including the dessert which we should have skipped because my butt doesn't need more dessert. Stephanie was our waitress and she makes the experience even better with her great bubbly disposition and down to earth conversation. Will return soon. And looking forward to the new place in Patchogue!!!! read more

Once again an absolutely wonderful dining experience! Tonight our daughter's friend joined us and she's a vegetarian. I never checked to see if there were vegetarian options at Rumba but I was so happy to see there were! In fact there were several options on the menu for her to enjoy. We started her with the dip and chips (guacamole and spicy cheese). She also had a Rastaman taco and a veggie burger. She loved everything! I had the amazing tuna burger, son had the steak, hubby had the pork loin and my daughter had steak tacos. We come to Rumba year round and we are always impressed with the service and how organized everyone is. Their year's summertime hostess is extremely nice and always friendly. After dinner we all took a walk on the dock. Beautiful view. Great experience! read more

Been her twice, There rum runner is good. Also, I had the pineapple burger which was veryy good. Cant wait to go here in the summer and go on the tiki boat. read more

Small place in Hampton Bays off the nearby marina. Limited parking, cept' a small valet run parking lot next to the joint. The parking service is free, but please tip the valet. Has outside deck and indoor sweating. Indoors eating is not very big and nor is the bar area. Went around 8pm. Make a reservation as this is a hot spot. Dinner was nice, but volume in the indoor seating area was waaaay too loud as they had a singer. Couldn't have meaningful conversation with my wife at all during our meal as we had to shout at each other. Outside table would be best if their is a musical act present. As for the food, it was quite tasty. Not a very big menu but enough to chose from. My wife had the Ahi Tuna appetizer, which was tasty and a healthy portion. I had the fish tacos which were very good. We enjoyed the mussels with coconut milk and lemongrass. Never had them this way, but they were tasty. No draft beer. All bottles. And the menu did not list what they had....so poor waitress Alexis had to verbally go through what she could remember. Margarita was awesome. Great service. Good food. Too loud. Limited menu. Limited parking. Sums it up best. Also has a ferry boat out back to take you to Cow Fish in the marina....a plus. Nice place to try once. read more

Highly recommend the buffalo chicken and shrimp tacos!! Coconut mojito is amazing. Delish! View is great and staff is amazing! Also the complimentary chips and mango guacamole are soooo good! read more

My boyfriend and I split duck empanadas, chips with guac, and the Dominican ribs. Everything was soooo good. The duck empanadas were different, but delicious. The Dominican ribs were out of this world, definite must try! They came with sweet potatoes, which were incredible! The passion fruit piña colada wasn't too sweet and tasted very fresh and not syrupy. The restaurant looks like a surf shack and has a gorgeous view. Definitely recommend a visit to this place. read more

Enjoyed my lunch! Scenery is beautiful and the staff was great! Has the tacos and a glass or the rosé which was delicious!

Awesome awesome food great service I love to Rumba at Rumba's the delicious food and great ambiance will have you doing the Rumba

How can you not get a frozen pina colada ay the Rum bar. Huge disappointment. Too loud, not enough substance. Wiished id stayed home or went to phils, who can make a decent frozen drink. read more

Best shrimp tacos. My boyfriend doesn't like tacos. Or anything ever. And he loved the pulled pork tacos. So yum.

Arrived at 155pm yesterday for lunch and told our wait would be 30-35 minutes. We gave the hostess our cell number and ordered drinks and sat outside by the water. We then went back 45 minutes later for an update, only to be told by same hostess that she called us and then gave away the table when we didn't answer! She also knew we were sitting nearby. Turns out she entered the wrong cell number, but an apology was not initially offered. She was young and might have been having a bad day, but there were a number of empty dirty tables Waiting to be bussed. We were seated another 10 minutes later, this time with an apology. We didn't leave because we were hungry and already waited an hour. Very unprofessional! On the plus side, our waitress was Anita, and she was great! Attentive and friendly! We shared fish, beef, and vegetarian tacos, wings, roasted corn, and the double dip chips: all were very good. Happy ending to a misstep beginning, but management needs to know about this. Very sloppy. read more

From out of town... Saw good reviews and pics of food. Went to check it out and it's nicely situated right on the bay. It was happy hour so I scored myself some duck empanadas and crab cakes for half off. catch is, you have to sit at the bar..You feel like you're on vacation here. Plenty of options to choose from the menu. the food came out quickly and everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I go out to eat a lot, and the bartender Freddy really made this experience amazing! It's a must try. read more

Amazing Caribbean inspired restaurant . You truly feel like you are on vacation when you come here. Even if you are local. The shrimp and pork tacos are awesome. Wich they had the option for flour tortillas, but they where flavored very well. Mom has the crab cake salad and dad had a burger. Everyone loved the food and service. read more

No doubt the food is very good. Chef knows his craft but I deducted one star bc of the noise. Not only the restaurant is overcrowded during the summer but because all the pp waiting for the table around the bar making it too packed and extremely loud. Lucky if you have a table outside where is a little less noisy (still many pp standing and waiting). Also even if you have a reservation you still have to wait for the table. We had to wait 25 min.on Friday night. I think they try to accommodate too many people. Ahi tuna salad is delish ! read more

Awful service, extremely long waits for mediocre food . Very few servers and a lot of bus boys. Very good at taking away dirty plates and not so good at bringing correct food. read more

Online reviews looked great, as did menu. Went on a wednesday night 1/2 hr before reservation and spent that 1/2 hour looking for parking as valet was completely overwhelmed. Table inside was fine, but obnoxious group at the bar made it very hard to hear anyone. Food was good, but service sporadic. Its a one and done. read more

Tacos are amazing. Coconut wings are amazing. Duck empanadas are amazing. No place can get better than rumba!! The only thing is that they don't take reservations and sometimes the wait can be over 2 hours long for a table but..... SO worth it. I don't care what time I eat their food it's just that good. read more

We had a party of 6, on a Wednesday night,, before i get into the service I have to say everyone loved what they ordered, except two persons said they expected larger portions. For starters, we had baked oysters and also ribs.. great tastes, and entrees had sauces and seasonings were strong and unusual but not overpowering, Now the service.. every place can have their off night.. I may be spoiled, but I expect good service wherever i go.. this place really annoyed me (I am being polite) The staff was "friendly" but seemed to be handling the tables as a part time job. Nice smiles, but then they would disappear for long periods. 5 of us had beer,, someone plopped down 5 bottles,, I never even got a chance to ask for a glass,, the bus boy came over with 6 plates , set one at a setting and gave us the remainder to divvy up by our selves,, this happened twice, we were halve way thru the sitting before we got water, after having to ask for it.. I think we saw our waitress three times... I was very tempted to leave a minimum tip, but my friends over ruled me. I'd go one more time, but if the serice didn't improve, I'd never go back. read more

Latin cuisine food was delicious. The Dominican ribs are super good. And the drink are super cheap

Not really Mexican, more Caribbean but solid tacos, especially the fish. Duck empanadas were indulgent. Seared tuna salad was fresh, but overdressed. View of the bay from the deck is great for a late lunch. Will be back for the rum drinks one night. Very sweet, friendly service. Free valet parking. read more
