The food was pretty good. I'd go back. The atmosphere was awesome if you want to sit outside for drinks. Not the most happening place in the hamptons. The fish tacos were really good! The ribs were awesome! I'd recommend to a friend that wanted a casual dinner in hampton bays. read more

The ambiance is quite nice at this place. Very attentive staff. One of us had a wheelchair and they were so accommodating. The rum punch was plentiful and sweet. I will get wine next time though. The duck empanadas were ok. The guacamole and cheese was good. The entree was the best. Jumbo Scallop and Papaya Salad with avocado. The Key Lime Pie was ok. The Fudge Sundae was better. Great view of the bay whether you are inside or out, and there's a boat that takes you to their other restaurant. read more

Not quite sure the background on Rumba, I just know that it's new this season and is fantastic! I went here for the first time last week after several people had been hounding me for months about how fantastic this place is! Word of mouth travels quickly out here, and usually it's spot on! The Atmosphere: You walk in, it's dark, it's beachy but chic and sits directly on the bay so you can see the water. They have a deck where you can sit outside overlooking the water or they have chairs right on the water where you can sit and grab drinks. The atmosphere alone is worth it. Who wants to sit in a bar when you can sit right on the water. That is a major selling point for me. The first night I went they also had a band and although it was crowded, it was a nice crowd and there were plenty of places to go if you didn't want to be in the mix. The Drinks: Fantastic! All the juices are fresh squeezed and they have a great variety. The rum punch is to die for and their prickly pear margarita is fantastic! I would assume the rest of the drinks are on the same level. The bartender Fred was extremely gracious and made awesome drinks! The Food: SOOO GOOD! I guess it would be considered Caribbean food? I've only been twice so I can't comment on everything but it has a well rounded menu with a variety of choices and the prices are decent for the area. They have a fantastic Ahi Tuna Salad with a champagne vinaigrette. The grilled oysters were perfect (although I wish they had raw too :( ) and the tacos are great! I absolutely love Rumba and am glad I finally got up and went. Definitely my new favorite spot for lunch, dinner, drinks, whatever. It is such a relaxed atmosphere and definitely puts you in the summer mood. read more

My wife and I stopped here on our way out to the hamptons to grab some food and we were very happy that we did. Although it was a rainy day when we visited, the view was amazing as the rear of the restaurant is right on the water. The inside is decorated very nicely and has a very fun feeling to it. Our waitress was very nice and was always coming by asking us if we needed anything. We decided to start out with some Dominican Ribs and Duck Empanadas. They were both quite delicious! The ribs were fall off the bone good and just tasted amazing with the chili ginger glaze. The empanadas were really good too, I loved the sauce that came with them. For our main dish we each had a few tacos. They were really good but the stand out item to me truly was the Dominican ribs. I would really recommend coming by here if it's on your way. It's worth it and get the ribs! read more

This is such a fun place! Husband and I stopped in after a movie nearby. The atmosphere is laid back, Caribbean style for sure-reminded me of my days living-on St. Croix. The rum punch was refreshing! The Caribbean wings had a special siracha/ coconut milk sauce that gave a wonderful flavor of sweet-spice! Husband enjoyed the pork tacos And crab cake. If you're looking for a place after the beach, before the beach or whenever-this is a great place. Service was attentive from wait staff to bussers to valet parking! read more

Most delicious food and great views. Tacos with fried avocado are made in heaven. Loved artichoke dip and everything else. Well made cocktails. Best thing it is also wallet friendly, very unusual for Hampton's. Celebrated 4th of July in style and loved view of fireworks. You can also take a ferry to a nearby Cowfish for some live music . read more

Great food and atmosphere. We enjoy ourselves every time we go and this year won't be any different. Drinks and food are always fantastic and best of all consistent. And a boat ride to nearby Cowfish doesn't hurt either. read more

I have eaten here twice. Once in the fall and just the other night. First off, I have to say the rum punch is amazing. If you are looking to have a yummy drink with a kick, try it! I loved my appetizer which were the duck empanadas. The outside was crisp and the sauce was good. I had two tacos for my appetizer which I was not blown away by. The skirt steak taco would have been good but the steak was kind of tough. I also had the fish taco which would have been really good except there was too much sauce on it. I ended up eating about half of it because it became too heavy. It must be a great atmosphere in the summer and I will give it another shot. read more

Rumba is one of best places to eat in the Hamptons. The food is unbelievable! Rumba has a real chef that is a complete genius. The Atmosphere is wonderful, great energy outside on the deck or inside. Decor is an Island feeling with reggae playing at a perfect level for great conversations. Service and staff are amazing, prices are reasonable. If you have a boat, Rumba has 13 docks spots with direct access as well as parking. This is my 4th time going and the food is consistently wonderful. My dish was Jerk Chicken with Coconut risotto, with this dish you can get 5 different flavor combination's depending on how you mix it. For those who know me I'm very picky, i look for flaws and faults all the time. Rumba is really Good and gets five stars! read more

Their colorful "Rumbus" in the parking lot..as we entered ..there's an ample bar..tables inside and out..water view..if you so desired..our server."Frank"..fasting talking..but explained the menu thoroughly..we started with very tasty drinks..Key lime martini...dark and stormy( my friend exclaimed one of the best he's had).. The appetizers were mouth watering..Dominican ribs, artichokes, duck empanadas..the meal scrumptious . A nice variety..something for every palate...the service implacable.. Can't wait to go back..we actually ended up in Rumba..en route to Cowfish( which was an old favorite of ours ..when it was Indian Cove)..next time We were told they are both owned by the same person(s) read more

What a great place! You feel like you're in Key West! The food is incredible, the Steak Tacos are a must, and their homemade mango guacamole is unbelievable! The margaritas are the best around. Service is friendly and efficient...it's a must go for summer! I can't wait to go back! read more

Our favorite restaurant in the Hamptons. I believe they're appetizer of Dominican ribs is the best rib I've ever tasted. My cousins from North Carolina disagree but even they have to give it a thumbs up. I love the entire menu. I love the chef. The owner has personally delivered catered food to our home. Their sister restaurant Cowfish is also a notch above everything else, but Rumba remains the best. Cowfish is a much larger establishment, and the food is also excellent. Rumba's key lime pie is the best key lime pie north of Florida. read more

This was good because of the location and atmosphere. It overlooks the marina and bay and nearly every table has a view. There is plenty of outdoor seating. While having the pleasure of attending a good friend's Hampton weekend getaway (which is a story in & of itself) we got the chance to explore and came across a pretty cool place in Rumba! The island inspired cuisine & rum bar is tucked in a cozy environment, not too far from a beautiful water front; which you can actually view if seated outside. I was throughly impressed with the restaurants menu selection and really wish I could have tried everything listed. However I settled on the Island Burger which features a tasty pineapple added to the burger mix. Even though I truly wished I went with my first choice the Shrimp Boat (my friend had it & it looked amazing) I was satisfied with my dish which left me wanting more. I'll definitely make my way back to Rumba one day soon b/c the vibe was right, servers were beautiful, and the food was amazing! read more

This place is definitely worth the wait! We were referred to this place by locals. I was in town for my bachelorette party with a few friends. We came to Rumba at 9pm last Saturday. The hostess said it was going to be an hour wait, but get drinks and you can sit by the water. It is a small bar, but we ordered a pitcher of rum punches it was so relaxing and nice by the water. When we were finished, we were seated. The drinks were amazing! My friend had a sangria, but my best friend and I had blackberry jalapeño margaritas. They were so delicious! It had a hint of sweetness from the fruit and abbot of heat in the back of your throat. Since it was late we ordered apps and it was enough!! We had: double dipper-that pimento cheese is to die for, the ahi tuna-super flavorful and I love the hint of vinegar in the cabbage, duck empanadas were so delicious, and fish tacos. There was a great heat in the fish tacos: it was juicy and cooked perfectly. Service was great and even the coffee was good! There was 4 of us and we only paid $20 per person. It was so worth the wait!! read more

We went on a Wednesday with another couple for dinner. We red told the wait for a table would be a half hour, which seemed very reasonable. After waiting over an hour, we spoke to the hostess and she said she had us down for an outside only table so it would take longer. I am not sure why she had us down for outside only as we said either when we came in. About 45 minutes later, our buzzer went off, and we went to see the hostess. Of course, she had us down for a table for 2 and preceded to argue with us that she didn't make that mistake. Luckily, a table for 4 opened up at that time and we were seated. The second we sat down, the waiter asked us for our order. We had never even looked at the menus! We ordered the grilled artichokes, fish tacos, steak tacos and pork tacos. All were very good- but not worth the poor service. read more

Delicious food and location is on point. It was nice that they had a vegan option for one of the people in our party of 6.

Randomly ventured out to South Hampton area and discovered this place on a random Saturday evening. This place was awesome, located right next to the water. The vibe was great and everyone was drinking by the bar as you wait for your table. A table for 2 was still a good hour long wait, but we hung out by the bar. Didn't know what to expect from this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Here's what we ordered: - Dominican Ribs - Duck Empanadas - Carnitas Taco and Smothered Pulled Rib Taco - 1/2 Caribbean Jerk Chicken Everything was amazing, but I definitely recommend the ribs and the jerk chicken. This was more than enough food for 2 people, and I was definitely already full by the time the chicken came out. Would absolutely need another trip out here to order everything else on the menu. read more

This is a bar/view only review of Rumba, but I am eagerly looking forward to exploring the menu on a future visit. Our party of four arrived for a midsummer Saturday evening dinner at Cowfish, and were unsurprised by the cited 1.5-hour wait. We had, in fact, counted on it as it allowed us to hop on the "Rum Barge" for a jaunt across the water to enjoy a cocktail at Rumba. As an aside, I am hard-pressed to think of a better teenage summer job than piloting a pontoon boat playing Grateful Dead music across a glassy bay and receiving tips for doing so. The young man was charming. Upon disembarking from our vessel, we made our way up the stairs, across the deck and into the lively bar/restaurant space. A round of refreshing white wines and whimsical (yet powerful) fruity beverages was procured for a very reasonable cost. Service was quick and friendly in spite of the bar being 2-3 people deep. We opted to wander outside and soak in the setting sun with our beverages. They are understandably strict about not allowing people to linger annoyingly close to the tables where people are sitting to enjoy their dinners. However, it was not a problem at all for us to take our beverages down to the dock where they even had some chairs set up for relaxing and general water watching. As we were finishing our drinks the Rum Barge pulled back into port, and we all hopped back on for a scenic return to Cowfish. read more

Hands down one of the best restaurants on the island. I've heard about this place many of times but never wanted to take the ride east to try it out. I'm so glad I finally took the ride out to see what all the talk was about. Everything I had from the mango mojito to the duck empanadas to the rib eye was delicious. I even ordered the Jamaican wings which were bomb! The ice cream sundae was killer and I mean KILLLER! I can't wait to go back and try the Dominican ribs. But not only is the food good but the location is perfect. It sits right on the bay so in the summer I know this is the place to be and enjoy. I'll be back VERY SOON!! read more

Fantastic location, view, atmosphere and festive. Valet car parked, took free ferry shuttle to Cowfish sister restaurant for apps while waiting for our table. The entire experience was an adventure. Apps, service and drinks were solid. Ramba called us when the table was ready - ferried back and our host greeted us on the dock to seat us at the table. Kids meals were high quality and priced right. Recommend duck empanadas, fish tacos and Caribbean wings. Can't say enough about the evening, the food, the service and live band. Everyone went out of their way to make a lovely evening experience. Bring your kids, date or wife. The restaurant owners know what they are doing. read more

First time here. I really enjoyed the rum sangria compared to the rum punch that everyone raves about here on yelp! I couldn't believe how fast I was drinking it! I enjoyed the atmosphere, food was delicious, service was great!-very polite and attentive. I also enjoyed that the crowd was mid-20's+. Although I had only the tacos, but they were so full of flavor, simple yet delicious! I enjoyed the steak tacos, more than the pulled pork though. I would definitely come back just for those items alone on the menu! Will be coming back definitely. read more

Really nice restaurant in a beautiful setting. Outdoor seating looking over the water. There is a dock that you can walk on after you meal. The staff are extremely nice and very accommodating. My husband had pork tacos and was very pleased with it. I have the salmon which was amazing and it came with a coconut risotto which was awesome!!
