I have eaten here twice. Once in the fall and just the other night. First off, I have to say the rum punch is amazing. If you are looking to have a yummy drink with a kick, try it! I loved my appetizer which were the duck empanadas. The outside was crisp and the sauce was good. I had two tacos for my appetizer which I was not blown away by. The skirt steak taco would have been good but the steak was kind of tough. I also had the fish taco which would have been really good except there was too much sauce on it. I ended up eating about half of it because it became too heavy. It must be a great atmosphere in the summer and I will give it another shot. read more

Rumba is one of best places to eat in the Hamptons. The food is unbelievable! Rumba has a real chef that is a complete genius. The Atmosphere is wonderful, great energy outside on the deck or inside. Decor is an Island feeling with reggae playing at a perfect level for great conversations. Service and staff are amazing, prices are reasonable. If you have a boat, Rumba has 13 docks spots with direct access as well as parking. This is my 4th time going and the food is consistently wonderful. My dish was Jerk Chicken with Coconut risotto, with this dish you can get 5 different flavor combination's depending on how you mix it. For those who know me I'm very picky, i look for flaws and faults all the time. Rumba is really Good and gets five stars! read more

My friends and I took a road trip today ..we ended up in Rumba..very cute..lots of eye candy..signs of all sorts.. This was good because of the location and atmosphere. It overlooks the marina and bay and nearly every table has a view. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The starters were served quickly but the mains took an abnormal amount of time to arrive. I actually was walking back inside to query the mains when they were being carried out to us. read more

Alexis was a wonderful server. She has such an awesome personality and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. When we return I will happily sip another delicious pina colada or margarita while waiting for her to get to me. That's how awesome she is. And if we do have to wait...the food is well worth it. The boneless ribs...TO DIE FOR!! They were hands down the best ribs I have ever had in my life! Tacos were great- I loved the rib taco and the option without the meat (I forgot the name, sorry). We stayed at an Airbnb near RUMBA and our host recommended that we try it out. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain, but the seating inside was tropical and cozy. This was the worst dining experience I ever had as ants were crawling all over the outdoor space where food was being served. I asked the waitress to wipe down the countertop and she said "sure" but the infestation didn't seem to surprise her. And the manager's response was to offer us another place to sit, inside maybe? Went here with my party of 9 for my cousin's bachelorette party and my my my it was amazing!! The shrimp tacos were to die for! Such great flavor & such great prices. Rumba has been a community mainstay and a must-visit restaurant while in the Hamptons since it opened. The food and atmosphere is incredible. You can take a boat to their sister restaurant Cowfish which has a great outdoor bar. The food at both is great, but I personally prefer RUMBA. read more

We went on a Wednesday with another couple for dinner. We red told the wait for a table would be a half hour, which seemed very reasonable. After waiting over an hour, we spoke to the hostess and she said she had us down for an outside only table so it would take longer. I am not sure why she had us down for outside only as we said either when we came in. About 45 minutes later, our buzzer went off, and we went to see the hostess. Of course, she had us down for a table for 2 and preceded to argue with us that she didn't make that mistake. Luckily, a table for 4 opened up at that time and we were seated. The second we sat down, the waiter asked us for our order. We had never even looked at the menus! We ordered the grilled artichokes, fish tacos, steak tacos and pork tacos. Our entrees were the perfect portion plated delicately, scallops with coconut risotto jerk chicken also with the coconut risotto and mango papaya salsa (the perfect amount of sweet to go with the spicy jerk chicken) chili rubbed pork loin with an apricot ginger glaze also coconut risotto and fried plantains and finally the Dominican ribs, the meat fell right off the bones. This is a bar/view only review of Rumba, but I am eagerly looking forward to exploring the menu on a future visit. Our party of four arrived for a midsummer Saturday evening dinner at Cowfish, and were unsurprised by the cited 1.5-hour wait. We had, in fact, counted on it as it allowed us to hop on the "Rum Barge" for a jaunt across the water to enjoy a cocktail at Rumba. As an aside, I am hard-pressed to think of a better teenage summer job than piloting a pontoon boat playing Grateful Dead music across a glassy bay and receiving tips for doing so. The young man was charming. Upon disembarking from our vessel, we made our way up the stairs, across the deck and into the lively bar/restaurant space. A round of refreshing white wines and whimsical (yet powerful) fruity beverages was procured for a very reasonable cost. Service was quick and friendly in spite of the bar being 2-3 people deep. We opted to wander outside and soak in the setting sun with our beverages. They are understandably strict about not allowing people to linger annoyingly close to the tables where people are sitting to enjoy their dinners. However, it was not a problem at all for us to take our beverages down to the dock where they even had some chairs set up for relaxing and general water watching. As we were finishing our drinks the Rum Barge pulled back into port, and we all hopped back on for a scenic return to Cowfish. read more

First time here. I really enjoyed the rum sangria compared to the rum punch that everyone raves about here on yelp! I couldn't believe how fast I was drinking it! I enjoyed the atmosphere, food was delicious, service was great!-very polite and attentive. I also enjoyed that the crowd was mid-20's+. Although I had only the tacos, but they were so full of flavor, simple yet delicious! I enjoyed the steak tacos, more than the pulled pork though. Hands down one of the best restaurants on the island. I've heard about this place many of times but never wanted to take the ride east to try it out. I'm so glad I finally took the ride out to see what all the talk was about. Everything I had from the mango mojito to the duck empanadas to the rib eye was delicious. I even ordered the Jamaican wings which were bomb! The ice cream sundae was killer and I mean KILLLER! I can't wait to go back and try the Dominican ribs. Fantastic location, view, atmosphere and festive. Valet car parked, took free ferry shuttle to Cowfish sister restaurant for apps while waiting for our table. The entire experience was an adventure. Apps, service and drinks were solid. Ramba called us when the table was ready - ferried back and our host greeted us on the dock to seat us at the table. Kids meals were high quality and priced right. Recommend duck empanadas, fish tacos and Caribbean wings. Can't say enough about the evening, the food, the service and live band. The food here is awesome, and they actually provide free (mandatory) valet parking. My friend and I shared 3 tacos - a special flank steak one, a shrimp taco, and a fish one. We both agreed that the shrimp one won, though all three were amazing. All of them had a really interesting fusion of flavors - Caribbean plus Mexican plus Asian plus seafood joint. Really great. We also shared a jerk chicken on coconut risotto and mango papaya salsa. Super good. The jerk chicken had just the right amount of kick, and the coconut risotto had a nice sweet/savory thing going on. The key lime pie was also really amazing - it's a big, shareable portion, and the crust was especially good - like a cookie crumble with pecans mixed in it. read more

What a wonderful experience!!! We arrived at 3pm and we were informed we were entitled to Happy Hour appetizers and Drinks at the bar. After looking over menu we sat at the bar. Our bartender Nicky was extremely helpful with drink and appetizer selections. The general manager Craig came over several times to make sure we were satisfied with our order.
