This place I drive by all the time and never tried it. Came here with my wife and father-in-law and was blown away. Very friendly staff, and nice authentic Mexican restaurant! Served who was the owner was a sweet heart and the food was top tier! I ordered a birria burrito that blew my socks off. The meat was so tender and cooked to perfection tin packing so much flavor. My wife got Al pastor tacos that were amazing. Super flavorful and just 10/10! My father in law got a fish quesadilla and buffalo wings for an appetizer. The buffalo wings were good, nothing to rave about, but they weren't bad at all. Overall my experience here was excellent and I would definitely come back here over and over again. If you're looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food, look no further. Very cute restaurant. I would describe it as a "no frills" vibe which somehow are always the best spots. Excellent food, however service and drinks were unacceptable. We waited a solid hour for our main course. There seemed to be two waitresses doing everything, including bus-boy duty (and maybe making drinks). Two of us ordered frozen margaritas, both of which tasted like plain crushed ice: weak on flavor and barely any alcohol. When we sent one back (they were both bad but only one of us chose to send back), the replacement was bad but different: now MOSTLY alcohol, still no margarita flavor. We left the drinks full, yet the staff didn't think -- after one was sent back and neither was consumed -- to maybe take one off the check. Again, the food here is excellent: it was great when we had delivery a week before we visited and was great when we dined in this time. But the dine-in experience was ruined by the excessive wait and poor drink quality. Maybe we just got them on a bad night, as they seemed very short-staffed. Yummmm! There is almost nothing that I can possibly dislike here! Sometimes some of the staff is not always very friendly, but you can get past it. The Birra tacos are fabulous ! Try the Burrito salad. You have to ask for it, it's not on the menu. I just don't like my burritos all wrapped up. If you'd like your burritos wrapped up, they are so large, they can be shared. The chicken tostadas are nice and crunchy! The nachos have lots of jalapeños, so remember to ask for them without if you don't like them. Rating the food alone. NYC quality here. The mole enchiladas were excellent. A real hefty dish for the $16. The mole sauce was nuanced between the herbs that go into it and you can taste the actual chocolate in it too. The chicken inside was nice and soft. Chile relleno was delicious as well. Nice guac and home-made-like refried beans also. The chips were tasty and their red salsa real fresh. Horchata was refreshing and yummy. Prices are reasonable. Inside is not too big. Family owned and lovingly operated by the entire family too! Literally a cozy makeshift shack of a place but it's clean and very inviting. They are open for both lunch and dinner and I believe they offer some Italian dishes during lunch as well. I felt like I was at a friend's abuelita's dining room being served some amazing homestyle dishes. Everything from the rich and flavorful chicken soup, to the El pastor quesadilla to the beautifully roasted and abundantly cheese stuffed chile relleno to the tongue tacos were all superb. Topped the evening off with their version of fried ice cream and we were full and content. It's a true gem of a spot with great food you made from the heart. We were met by our waitress Maria who said to sit anywhere we want. We started to ask her what was good and she just went through all the dishes and his good they are. We ordered the nachos with chicken for an appetizer, then the chile's Rellenos, 3 steak tostados and the chicken enchiladas poblanos. I ordered the Steak Nachos Supreme to go and was very pleased with the final product. The hostess was very nice and enthusiastic about the food. Nachos were nice and crispy w a good balance of melted cheese, refried beans, jalapeños, obviously freshly made guacamole, perfectly cooked steak, sour cream, and salsa. After being turned away by Rumba's long wait time, found this unassuming Mexican restaurant late Saturday evening. Plenty of seating available with one guy working the counter/tables. At the moment this places seems to be BYOB, but didn't want drinks anyway. Started off with the Regular Nachos ($10) and a Horchata ($3). Nachos come out looking amazing with drizzled sauce and layers of guac, salsa, cream, cheese, and peppers on warm tortilla chips. For the main course, got the Carnitas Burrito ($11ish) - tender beef inside a football sized burrito. No sauce is necessary on this beast. I particularly liked the slightly toasted tortilla wrapped around it; made for a better bite. Service here is excellent considering it was one guy manning the place. I believe the restaurant is family-owned, so he was doing his best to make all the patrons happy. Really glad I made the stop here, and hope this spot does well. read more

This place is amazing! The tacos are perfectly seasoned and the guacamole is so fresh and tasty. I ordered through DoorDash for the first time and I was incredibly pleased with how fast the food arrived but you could tell it wasn't quickly or sloppily made. The steak was excellent! I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic tacos made with soft tortillas not the hard Taco Bell shit. Also their option of green or red Salas made everything 10x better and well worth the price. For those who want to eat at the location don't be discouraged by the small nature of the restaurant!
