This place I drive by all the time and never tried it. Came here with my wife and father-in-law and was blown away. Very friendly staff, and nice authentic Mexican restaurant! Served who was the owner was a sweet heart and the food was top tier! I ordered a birria burrito that blew my socks off. The meat was so tender and cooked to perfection tin packing so much flavor. My wife got Al pastor tacos that were amazing. Super flavorful and just 10/10! My father in law got a fish quesadilla and buffalo wings for an appetizer. The buffalo wings were good, nothing to rave about, but they weren't bad at all. Overall my experience here was excellent and I would definitely come back here over and over again. Authentic Mexican food with great service and people. read more

The inside is cute but the food is god awful. The fact their chef(s) willingly allow the food to leave their kitchen is a disgrace and they clearly don't care about their career or public perception. They've never had actual Mexican food or eaten anything other than reheated frozen meals in from Winco and it shows. Save your yourself the time and money and skip this place at all costs unless you want overcooked and under seasoned pig slop. Never regretted tipping a restaurant worse in my life. read more

The food and the prices are terrific. Very authentic and good service. The nachos are a great appetizer. read more

Food was good. We ordered horchata, fried calamari, and el mariachi loco. El mariachi loco came out on a hot plate. The meat got a little overcooked because we left it on the hot plate too long. The meat was well-seasoned. read more

El Mariachi is always delicious. The owner and the cooking makes me feel like i am at someones home. Everything is delicious but the ceviche, the flautas, and nachos are all my favorites read more

If you're looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food, look no further. Very cute restaurant. I would describe it as a "no frills" vibe which somehow are always the best spots. Service was great, super fast and kind servers. The food was Sooo delicious. I had the steak and chicken fajitas, seasoned and cooked to perfection and my husband had the beef tostadas and we both left full and happy :) definitely recommend if you're looking for a spot that's not too uptight/upscale but still delivers delicious food read more

We eat here frequently. Good, solid Mexican food, great service, reasonable prices. You cannot go wrong here.

Unfortunately it was one of my favorite restaurants the food is very good but the customer service is very bad they don't even answer the greeting when you arrive, the oldest waitress is very rude if she is the owner and does not want to work that she stays at home for our part we will look for another Mexican restaurant but we will not return to this one and if they close the door put a sign it is very confusing for the customers and the restaurant is very cold if you ask for calefacción they said is on read more

Ambience is ok It's a cozy place Service was good But the food is tasteless only salt pepper and lemon It was fabulous last year This visit we were so disappointed We were brought the wrong dish I m not from Latin background But I know my mole from pablano sauce They served us sweet mole instead of pablano Whn I asked I was told that's how we do it Anyways I guess I had ignorant written on my forehead We were a big group of local families so we ate and decided to not go back Sad as we love supporting local restaurants year around read more

Good food and service Great margaritas Friendly staff members Fresh ingredients and well prepared food items

Great food and service. Authentic Mexican cuisine, not fake crap. They have spicy and non spicy options and is very clean.

Enjoyed a nice getaway in the Hampton Bays! El Mariachi has friendly staff and delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're visiting the area. read more

Very cool authentic Mexican spot ! Amazing food and drinks at a great price ! Especially for the location . Will be back for sure .

Friday night in Hampton Bays begs for spicy Tex Mex / South American fare. Calm easy going vibe with authentic non commercial recipes. Not afraid to use various chili's to spice up their dishes. Fun Mexican music not too loud in the background. Trucks swishing by on. Montauk Hwy but quiet and nice warm lighting inside . Careful getting in and out of your car. Swoosh. Lol It was this or the place that replaced Orlando's This looked better. Welcoming and accommodating. They even split the enchiladas on two plates with two different sauces. Mole and the spicy one. Burritos more South American in style. As they had less or no tomato and more of a mild flavor. read more

Excellent food, however service and drinks were unacceptable. We waited a solid hour for our main course. There seemed to be two waitresses doing everything, including bus-boy duty (and maybe making drinks). Two of us ordered frozen margaritas, both of which tasted like plain crushed ice: weak on flavor and barely any alcohol. When we sent one back (they were both bad but only one of us chose to send back), the replacement was bad but different: now MOSTLY alcohol, still no margarita flavor. We left the drinks full, yet the staff didn't think -- after one was sent back and neither was consumed -- to maybe take one off the check. Again, the food here is excellent: it was great when we had delivery a week before we visited and was great when we dined in this time. But the dine-in experience was ruined by the excessive wait and poor drink quality. Maybe we just got them on a bad night, as they seemed very short-staffed. I wouldn't return for dine-in, but would order takeout from them again -- without drinks. read more

Not worth the wait !!! Not sure if the a/c works or not but it's very stuffy in there . Small room with NO circulation !!! Food is ok not great ,, but not worth the wait time before it's delivered to your table !Then your waiting for all the extra's that come with it ! Margarita's are awesome and that and the chips are about the only thing we might go back for.... read more

Worst pretend Mexican food ever. No flavor, nothing. Total rip-off. Like eating a paper towel.

5/5. Great tacos. Great prices. Surprised this has only 4 stars. It looks old and dingy but it's authentic and anchors are great!

Yesterday we were having lunch, I ordered an agua orchata and the glass smelled terrible and I ordered some garlic shrimp and the plate came with 6 shrimp and a little rice! never ask for that dish ... you will be hungry. ayer estuvimos almorzando , ordene una agua orchata y el vaso olia terrible y pedi unos camarones al ajo y el plato venia con 6 camarones y un poco de arroz ! jamas pidan ese plato ... quedaran con hambre read more

Food is excellent, service is spotty but totally fine for a reasonably priced solid Mexican joint. The carnitas burrito is dynamite.

Yummmm! There is almost nothing that I can possibly dislike here! Sometimes some of the staff is not always very friendly, but you can get past it. The Birra tacos are fabulous ! Try the Burrito salad. You have to ask for it, it's not on the menu. I just don't like my burritos all wrapped up. If you'd like your burritos wrapped up, they are so large, they can be shared. The chicken tostadas are nice and crunchy! The nachos have lots of jalapeños, so remember to ask for them without if you don't like them. This place has changed hand several times, and I think they've finally got it right! read more

The food, decoration, and ambiance was great but the service was terrible we will not be coming back

Rating the food alone. NYC quality here. The mole enchiladas were excellent. A real hefty dish for the $16. The mole sauce was nuanced between the herbs that go into it and you can taste the actual chocolate in it too. The chicken inside was nice and soft. Chile relleno was delicious as well. Nice guac and home-made-like refried beans also. The chips were tasty and their red salsa real fresh. Horchata was refreshing and yummy. Prices are reasonable. Inside is not too big. Hope to be a regular for take outs. Bring some Spanish with you. read more

I just took a chance on this place last week since being new to the area and omg...this has to be one of the best Mexican food spots in the whole island. 100% and I'm from out west. I've been here several times in just the past week and have tried their burritos, tacos, and this one in the photo is their 3 Piece Mixed Los Tacos ! They give such big proportions in anything you get it's SO worth the price I share it with my bf! read more

Family owned and lovingly operated by the entire family too! Literally a cozy makeshift shack of a place but it's clean and very inviting. They are open for both lunch and dinner and I believe they offer some Italian dishes during lunch as well. I felt like I was at a friend's abuelita's dining room being served some amazing homestyle dishes. Everything from the rich and flavorful chicken soup, to the El pastor quesadilla to the beautifully roasted and abundantly cheese stuffed chile relleno to the tongue tacos were all superb. Topped the evening off with their version of fried ice cream and we were full and content. It's a true gem of a spot with great food you made from the heart. Looking forward to my next visit very soon! read more

I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were very very good. Tasted fresh and it hit the spot. Flavorful and delicious. Will come back to order it again! read more

OMG......WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! I've driven by here many times saying to the wife, let's try that place. But she was apprehensive. So.....tonight, the wife is away and the mice can play!!!!!! My son and I were thinking of a place to go for dinner, and I thought, now is the time to try this place. I am so glad we did. You walk into a small but pretty and quaint dining area with a small bar. (BYOBB) Bring your own bottled beer....man I wish that I knew that. We were met by our waitress Maria who said to sit anywhere we want. We started to ask her what was good and she just went through all the dishes and his good they are. We ordered the nachos with chicken for an appetizer, then the chile's Rellenos, 3 steak tostados and the chicken enchiladas poblanos. Let me just say that this dinner was outstanding and very authentic. Chef Armando prepared our dishes to perfection. Don't be mislead by the exterior, if you drive too fast, you might miss it. It is just across the street from capital one bank. read more

Had a good experience last time but being an honest reviewer needed to come back a second time. Waitress was "standoff-ish". I waited 25 minutes for soup ( which is amazing)... but you might want to take home. Service was so bad I won't be back. read more

Food was mediocre. Don't appreciate being ripped off or treated like I don't know any better..a small pitcher of sangria does not cost $59.70!!! Nothing like inflating the bill..now I know why we were the only customers from 3:00-4:30!!! I won't be back, I even questioned the charge..now if the sangria was good! I may not have. Old cheap red wine. read more

We went and waited and hour and 15 minutes just for our food. The fried ice cream wouldn't light and the alcohol didn't burn off and they still gave it to the kids and I had to send it back when my niece gagged. The shrimp in the shrimp tacos were like the size of a dime and my husband wouldn't even eat them. The overall experience was horrible and I would not return . The staff was overwhelmed . They were nice and I felt bad but the long wait was horrible . read more

Had a delicious shrimp quesadilla, Caesar salad, and sangria sitting at the bar on a Friday night. Great local spot with good service.

I ordered the Steak Nachos Supreme to go and was very pleased with the final product. The hostess was very nice and enthusiastic about the food. Nachos were nice and crispy w a good balance of melted cheese, refried beans, jalapeños, obviously freshly made guacamole, perfectly cooked steak, sour cream, and salsa. My only criticism is they were a tad on the salty side and the chips weren't homemade. I am definitely going to try some more dishes from this spot! read more

After being turned away by Rumba's long wait time, found this unassuming Mexican restaurant late Saturday evening. Plenty of seating available with one guy working the counter/tables. At the moment this places seems to be BYOB, but didn't want drinks anyway. Started off with the Regular Nachos ($10) and a Horchata ($3). Nachos come out looking amazing with drizzled sauce and layers of guac, salsa, cream, cheese, and peppers on warm tortilla chips. For the main course, got the Carnitas Burrito ($11ish) - tender beef inside a football sized burrito. No sauce is necessary on this beast. I particularly liked the slightly toasted tortilla wrapped around it; made for a better bite. Service here is excellent considering it was one guy manning the place. I believe the restaurant is family-owned, so he was doing his best to make all the patrons happy. Really glad I made the stop here, and hope this spot does well. read more

This place is amazing! The tacos are perfectly seasoned and the guacamole is so fresh and tasty. I ordered through DoorDash for the first time and I was incredibly pleased with how fast the food arrived but you could tell it wasn't quickly or sloppily made. The steak was excellent! I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic tacos made with soft tortillas not the hard Taco Bell shit. Also their option of green or red Salas made everything 10x better and well worth the price. For those who want to eat at the location don't be discouraged by the small nature of the restaurant! The food is worth it read more
