Your basic taco shop in an easy to drive past group of buildings near Riverhead Town Hall. Besides the tacos, there are choice of meat with either mole verde, adobo roja, or green nopalito sauce, and rice and beans on the side.

Great to have authentic Mexican food in this area! I was craving tacos and good Mexican salsa flavors and this hit the spot! We were greeted in Spanish and I think they only speak very little English which was fine with us. I was just happy it would be authentic Mexican flavors. I got a beef and chicken taco and chips/guacamole. Bf got the enchiladas which came with rice and beans. The salsa seemed very fresh! Overall very happy with our meals and will be coming back! Spent $19 and then added guac and chips which was $6. Cash only.

    Tres tacos!

All the tacos - Mexican chorizo, steak and pork - are juicy. The posole soup was full of spice. The flan is excellent was well. And their service is friendly.

Friendly staff gladly accepted my $12 (though they said $11 first, which I guess they can do when they don't list prices in the dry erase board - cash only, too) for the caldo De Cameron (glad it was a comida del dia since it was literally my only option). Enjoyed some futbol on the TV with the other patrons (was the only gringo) before exiting to the lota side the building (you can barely notice this storefront from the road). More than 17 minutes elapsed as the food of other alter-arriving, seated regulars emerged. I arrived home to an absolute crime scene, with a burst takeout container from stifled heat from an item they didn't let cool. Given that the dish wasn't even worth the price I paid for it, and I'm not into laundering clothes just because I want to eat lunch, I certainly won't be back. Food has potential, execution was horrid.

I'm a vegetarian and there aren't many options but I got rice, beans, lettuce, homemade and pressed to order hot corn tortillas, and a cheese tamale which were exceptional.

We came in for an early afternoon bite, between lunch and dinnertime and as expected, it wasn't crowded and lively music was playing. There were around 3 tables occupied, and a good amount of people at the bar. We had never been here before, and we couldn't decide what we wanted, but we were hungry so we chose something substantial from the menu. Ended up having the Mixed Tray with some Modelo. Holy crap, it was huge. It had grilled steak (the menu said roast beef, but it was what I expected), chicken, chicharron, shrimp, chorizo, and fried yucca. Everything was delicious and we ate as much as we could, but had to bring home more than half of it. We would definitely go back.

How are "employees" much less the rest of us supposed to wash anything off of your hands ....think about it. I told the bartender I would pay cash for my drink(s) due to paying for my food with a corporate card. First margarita...$17, no bill. Second drink vodka soda....$17, no bill. I asked her about the charge, she said "oh that was a double" I didn't order a double, and as an ex bartender, that wasn't a double. So, as someone that remembers all the tricks, she's not only ripping me off, she's ripping off the business, because she isn't ringing up doubles on the register. Oh, and for my work, I carry a pocket knife. They have a security guard there. It's 6pm....what kind of establishment am I in? He politely came over and said that he had to keep the knife until I decided to leave. LOL ..no sir. I'm out and never coming back. Customer beware.

Next time I'm coming for the chocolate covered bananas. The place itself is vibrant and fun. Full on yellow fill the walls and it's amazing. It's more of a grab and go spot with a few spots to sit. We stopped in after our visit at the aquarium and my nieces loved it. They had non dairy options for them and they shared a watermelon ice. I have no idea what my sister got but I took a picture of her crazy concoction. I think she customized something and topped it with candy and tajin. The staff was warm and welcoming as well as patient. I'm sure they are used to it with all the families that must stop in being a block away from the Long Island aquarium. Still much appreciated.

I can't believe that size was a small . It had mango ice cream, chamoy, tajin and was sweet, salty, and sour. Great combo! My kids had ice cream with gummy bears, and they were happy as can be. Definitely will come back when I'm in the area again!
