This place is awesome, they have all different kinds of tequila and rum. My favorite is a Don Julio Margarita with a Grand mariner floater, also Diplomatico rum from Venezuela by itself is very tasty. Fish tacos are fresh and delicious, Mahi Mahi dish, reminds me of Hawaii. Homemade chips with scrumptious dipping sides, awesome view of the water, must sit outside. I love coming here but it can get busy, you'll be waiting awhile. Also parking is valet, make sure you make reservations 2 -3 days in advance. read more

Rumba - Delicious homemade chips with guacamole & jalapeño pimento cheese, yummm - Caribbean Near Me - Hampton Bays, New York

The Mussels were delicious but the sauce was unforgettable. Tacos are on point to go with the beautiful view, highly recommend.

Solid lunch place if you're out in the Hamptons and want something different. We went a little after 2 and the place was still pretty packed. There is valet parking, which I'm sure is very helpful during the lunch/dinner rush. We ordered three dishes: the Dominican Ribs, Mahi Tuna, and the empanadas. The ribs were phenomenal and the meat just falls off the bone. Nice view of the bay in the back, as well as a little dock to walk out onto. read more

The rum punch was very tasty its not too sweet. I ordered the jerk chicken salad which had alot of flavor. The ribs were succulent and the wings were sweet and savory. read more

Pulled pork tacos are fantastic. Steak tacos taste good but too chewy. Meat probably wasn't cut the right way (against the grain). Garlic salad was good, as was rum punch. Kids meals are very reasonable at $7 including ice cream. read more

Amazing experience. Totally felt like I had been whisked away to a Caribbean island. The detail of the ambience and decor was on point. The food and drinks were delicious, in the $$ range (we had the guac/pimento w chips, dominican ribs, tacos, tres leche) And the views out by the water in the back were beautiful. Parking at Rumba is limited, but you can park by the Mariner's Cove Marina and a Rumba bus that comes approx every 5 mins will drop you off and back. Totally adds to the vacation-like experience and def worth a nice drive out on the island!! :-) read more

This beautiful restaurant by the water is great for tacos drinks and artichokes and ribs if I had to eat at any restaurant and I consider myself a fine diner I would eat here. To go orders travel well and stay hot love love this place. Also they have a excellent rum selection as well as a key lime pie that will blow your socks off. Lastly the coffee is some of the best I ever had. Great place!! *greatly improved from our last visit read more

We stopped here on the way to Sag Harbor for a quick lunch and loved the food here. The duck empanadas were fantastic and the tacos were perfect for a road trip break. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the plates and silverware were not as clean as I would have liked then to be. Also, not something that really impacts how great this place is, but I was disappointed in their lack of blended drinks, especially for a "Caribbean inspired" restaurant. read more

Alexis was a wonderful server. She has such an awesome personality and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. When we return I will happily sip another delicious pina colada or margarita while waiting for her to get to me. That's how awesome she is. And if we do have to wait...the food is well worth it. All of our appetizers were great (the wings had a unique taste that I haven't had before-it's a must try), the empanadas were delicious and the ahi Tuna apps were amazing. My mahi mahi was cooked to perfection and the steak was amazing! read more

Great drinks. Loved my margarita and my boyfriend loved his berry mojito. Brianna is fabulous, in fact, everyone was friendly and accommodating! Great food! Love the double dip starter- yummy cheese! The boneless ribs...TO DIE FOR!! They were hands down the best ribs I have ever had in my life! Tacos were great- I loved the rib taco and the option without the meat (I forgot the name, sorry). You have to try the street corn as a side- amazing. Fresh corn rolled in Parmesan cheese and other amazing seasonings! For dessert, we loved the hot fudge sundae! Great restaurant on the water! Definitely coming back! read more

Great food. Actually, amazing food. The only thing I recommend is make reservations. They are always packed. Especially on the weekends. Otherwise, everything is perfect at Rumba! read more

One of the best places to go for cocktails, appetizers or a full meal. Help is always great as is the food. Best spare ribs around. Good rum punch. Can't beat it. Go enjoy the view of the bay also. read more

We stayed at an Airbnb near RUMBA and our host recommended that we try it out. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain, but the seating inside was tropical and cozy. My boyfriend and I split a pitcher of sangria, and we each ordered tacos. Afterwards, the RUMBus gave us a ride back to our Airbnb! Can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer! read more

This was the worst dining experience I ever had as ants were crawling all over the outdoor space where food was being served. I asked the waitress to wipe down the countertop and she said "sure" but the infestation didn't seem to surprise her. And the manager's response was to offer us another place to sit, inside maybe? She claimed no one had ever brought this to her attention before (highly unlikely). We paid for whatever we had eaten and the rest was removed from the bill and we walked out. DISGUSTING. read more

One of my favorite casual laid back places to grab a bite and just chill ... excellent food, great cocktails served in a mason jar, with water views of the bay. My favorite dishes are the Domincan Ribs, Plantains and Tacos!!! Only draw back about this place is the parking situation, so I try to go on less busy days. read more

Just got back from Rumba and let me just say.....AMAZINGLY good food! If you plan on going there, make sure you have a reservation....otherwise you will be waiting a LOOOONG time! Luckily, we had a reservation and were seated right away. People without were waiting about 45 min to 1 hour. It was PACKED. I think next time I'll ask for a seat overlooking the water instead of being seated indoors. The view of the Shinnecock is beautiful. Despite the crowded restaurant, the service was pretty quick (and our server was very friendly). We ordered the duck empanadas and the crabetizer for apps. Both incredibly delicious. And for entrees we ordered the chili rubbed pork tenderloin and the shrimp taco and rastamans taco. The tacos were some of the best I've ever eaten and the coconut risotto that came with the delicious tenderloin was like eating a creamy rice pudding...amazing. Dress code: We dressed nice not knowing, but it was pretty casual. There were people who were there right off the beach to those who were dressed up pretty nice. You can definitely go casual. If parking is a problem, you can park over by cowfish and theres a rumba bus that will transport you back (there's not much parking over by Rumba) or you can take a boat back and forth as well. Can't wait to go back! read more

Rumba has been a community mainstay and a must-visit restaurant while in the Hamptons since it opened. The food and atmosphere is incredible. You can take a boat to their sister restaurant Cowfish which has a great outdoor bar. The food at both is great, but I personally prefer RUMBA. read more

Honestly - skip. The food's good but the service may be the worst I've ever seen. As one reviewer so aptly put it, it's the kind of place where they ask you if you're "still working on that" ten minutes into your meal. I have eaten here many times and have received exceptionally poor service nearly every time. They're not slow but rude and like to rush you. Management in particular likes to talk down to customers. Awful people. Take your money elsewhere (McDonalds will treat you better!) read more

Caribbean style food done to perfection . Had the mahi and it was simply phenomenal , Wife had the fish tacos and for a person who doesn't enjoy seafood much she was extremely happy with her meal as well. Plenty and excellent island style cocktails to really paint the perfect picture of being on a tropical beach island. Great and friendly staff as well . read more

Ok here's the dealio peeps. This place was fantastic we started with duck empanadas which were extraordinary (4 to an order) and a pitcher of rum punch also delicous. Our entrees were the perfect portion plated delicately, scallops with coconut risotto jerk chicken also with the coconut risotto and mango papaya salsa (the perfect amount of sweet to go with the spicy jerk chicken) chili rubbed pork loin with an apricot ginger glaze also coconut risotto and fried plantains and finally the Dominican ribs, the meat fell right off the bones. We finished the meal with a piece of their award winning key lime pie which was delectable. 6 stars from me. read more

JERK CHICKEN SALAD DELICIOUS. Currently inhaling tres leches while eating my brothers key lime pie... cannot get it in my mouth fast enough. read more

Love this place! The food & atmosphere can't be beat! Love sitting outside & enjoying the beautiful water view.

Pulled rib tacos here are amazing - a must try. The fish and shrimp tacos were also fantastic. Definitely one of the better spots around. On the pricey side, although that seems to be the case everywhere in the area. read more

Delicious food, great service (our waitress Tori is worth waiting for) highly recommend the salmon or tuna burger. Very reasonably priced.

Amazing food, service and view. My go to spot whenever I'm looking for a great meal out.

The food here is awesome, and they actually provide free (mandatory) valet parking. My friend and I shared 3 tacos - a special flank steak one, a shrimp taco, and a fish one. We both agreed that the shrimp one won, though all three were amazing. All of them had a really interesting fusion of flavors - Caribbean plus Mexican plus Asian plus seafood joint. Really great. We also shared a jerk chicken on coconut risotto and mango papaya salsa. Super good. The jerk chicken had just the right amount of kick, and the coconut risotto had a nice sweet/savory thing going on. The key lime pie was also really amazing - it's a big, shareable portion, and the crust was especially good - like a cookie crumble with pecans mixed in it. read more

My first impression was oh great an overpriced bar, but damn was I wrong. The tacos were amazing!! I ordered the fish taco (and I swore I'd never eat a fish taco) the carnitas taco and the pulled pork taco and they were out of this world delicious. My wife had the shrimp and Siracha coconut tacos and they were awesome as well. Our drinks were perfect I had the dark n' stormy and it was balanced right and the rum was top shelf and had really good oak notes. And I hate margaritas but my wife's had me ordering one. Haven't even left yet and we're already planning when we will be back. Great place read more

If you can get a seat, this place is one of the best. My recommendations are the rastaman taco and the hot and stormy cocktail.

Did someone say "Island get away"?!! You will just feel like you're on vacation as you step into this tucked away place right on the water in Hampton Bays. If there's a wait, belly up to the bar and enjoy a favorite creation! We loved the fish tacos and anything that passes through their kitchen that has been caught in salt water. After a small hiccup with our lost gift card, the waitress treated us to a sample of a homemade banana liquor-what a treat! This place has a real island feel and just make sure you take a stroll down to the pier to take it all in. read more

We came for lunch on Sunday and were lucky enough to not have to wait for a table. The blond hostess not very friendly, didn't even say hello she just asked how many and directed us to the table. Even though the wait staff was very busy, our waitress came right away with a huge smile and took our drink orders immediately. The crew made sure our table remain clean and clear for our next course. We were a party of 6 and none of us had a single complaint about food, drinks or service. The valets were friendly and fast. The place is very nicely decorated right on the water, you can even enjoy a complimentary boat ride from Rumba to their sister restaurant. Highly recommend. We will definitely come back. David, we had the tuna, crab cake and Dominicans ribs from the appetizer menu as entrees since we notice the generous portions of the entrees. We also had the guacamole with the delicious cheese and peppers . shrimp burger, chicken, steak and pork tacos, fish and chips from the kids menu and also cheese burger . Everyone was very happy. read more

I returned to Rumba with a party of 10 for a weekday reservation at 5 pm on a perfect day. It was much improved from last year as we were able to sit immediately outside and had a great dinner.
