My wife and stopped in here not long ago. We had a Groupon and a friend's recommendation that this place was good. Went Saturday around 4pm, not busy yet but a good crowd at the bar. Our server was Rachel, she was very nice and helpful. My wife ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I went with the Rudi Reuben. Both were very tasty along with some fries. This place has a really nice selection of craft beers. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. By the time we left, the place had packed out. We will be back. read more

So this is a Sports Bar that accepts credit cards as payment. The parking lot is shared with other businesses in the development, so you might have to wait for a spot. As you enter, you'll notice that The Bar Area is located in the center of the room. There's about 21 beers on tap, 2 of which are Rudi's exclusives, with a decent amount of bottles and can beers. They have a fairly large and diverse food menu to select from. There's even a Kid's Menu and dessert is on the list. They offer an ATM, Basketball, Dart Board, Free WiFi, Multiple TV's, Pool Table, TouchTunes, and they play QuickDraw. Occasionally, they do Live Music and Karaoke Night, with a chalkboard displayed on upcoming events. Take-Out is available through online ordering or dial-in, and delivery options are with DoorDash or GrubHub. There's plenty of seating available for midsize to large groups of people to attend, with separate restrooms for men and women. I went here with my family on a Saturday evening (early around 5pm) since I had a Groupon. We walked in and there were about 10 people at the large bar, the rest of the place was empty. We stood there waiting for about 10 minutes, the bartenders and customers kept looking at us like we were crazy. No greeting, no anything. After not being acknowledged for so long, we walked out and went elsewhere for dinner. It was obvious the staff didn't want to deal with a family including 1 child, they clearly cater to alcohol drinking adults. Needless to stay, we won't return. read more

Covid destroyed this place. Signs and barriers everywhere. Mask warriors to the point it's uncomfortable. Last visit, in April, on a not warm day the bartender opened the door and we were freezing to the point we left. We mentioned we were freezing to the bartender and she said " the fresh air feels good" and left the door open anyway. On the way out we past a guy who went out to get his jacket from the car and was also complaining.....not to mention no more Groupons....long time customers but we found another local bar and won't be back. read more

Food is good but ordered Door Dash and waited almost 2 Hours for delivery and the order consisted of a salad with chicken and a chicken sandwich! My Dasher was great and I believe I inadvertently swiped through the rating stars so I apologize for that it wasn't his fault at all, he waited at the restaurant and didn't leave with my order until more than 90 minutes after my order was placed. This is in acceptable. I don't think I'll order from here again. Many pubs make good chicken sandwiches. read more

Rudi's is a real rarity when it comes to the the growing list of wanna-be local bars on Long Island. I like that they keep it simple and the atmosphere is laid back. My Third time here. I came with a groupon. I had good times here previously. This time was great as well until the bill. The staff turned insane groupon lawyer on us! They tried various tactics to beat me out of it. One second they're marking it redeemed, the next saying that the fine print says I need to notify them when I order so they don't have to honor it. Nightmare! My friend was appalled and I looked like an idiot for using a groupon at all! The overall effect was the staff turned a carefree dinner and drinks into a "gotcha" moment! I felt as if they were protecting themselves from me! The whole experience blew me away! No thanks! I was there drinking first and the groupon was later. The long and the short of it is that they beat me for two hamburgers because they were two dollars more than they wanted to cover. So, rather than just charge me the four bucks they opted to beat me for thirty! Nice! Class act! The bill was substantial either way, as I see it he chased a free spending repeat customer out for the price of two burgers. I wouldn't show my face in there again in my life. I was treated as if I was some scammer and they had to "batten down the legal hatches" to protect themselves. If you do not want groupon customers don't use it! Don't draw people in and abuse them in a room full of people! This Neanderthal manager needs training. If he had half a brain he could've maybe considered I spent over one hundred bucks in an hour, so the groupon worked! The fine print on the groupon doesn't state any such restrictions. Cut me some slack for missing the finer fine print they were able to dig up and let's keep smiling. Can you imagine driving any distance at all with the distinct intent of beating a bar out of four bucks while spending over 100? Me either. I can just imagine HIS slant on this debacle. There's a sign on the wall as you come in about bad attitudes and don't ask for buy backs. Anyplace you have to write that out should have been warning enough for me. Deff a local bar, went in with my wife and two kids on a Sunday lunch and we stood there without nobody paying attention to us. Walk to the bar to wait and ask if we could be seated, once seated it took a whole to find the server. We had a groupon deal and refused to take it since there was a "live" band playing, which nobody was played during the 30 mins since we walked in and waited. Rudi's is short for RUDENESS. Some of the crankiest bar staff I've ever met, They act like they are doing you a favor getting you a drink. Owner has no personality. Don't expect a buy-back. We all have heaved by backs are not allowed but 99% of bars I've been too throw you a beer or a few shots. Not here. Food mediocre to say the least. I have seen a couple of good bands but that's it. Last night my girlfriend and I dined at Rudi's. We had the infamous Groupon that many have purchased and several Yelpers have stated problems trying to use. I'm happy to report that there were no dilemmas faced redeeming it. Well, I will say that Rudi's doesn't honor it on nights with live music, and any entree above $12 can't be bought with the Groupon (our waitress was able to work around this, though we had to pay a few extra dollars, but I'll explain). Rudi's has a small town bar vibe in that it feels like everyone there knows each other. It's more bar than restaurant, but offers up a good menu of food. The drinks aren't bad either as the beers on tap are pretty extensive for a smaller place (the Groupon gets you two drinks so we had a couple of quality craft beers). We began with the appetizer sampler which consists of mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, rib wings, and fried raviolis. I was surprised they let us purchase that with the Groupon, but was glad they did as each item was tasty and it was served with a few nice sauces. We then both ordered burgers (The Marcus Stroman and the Tony "OH NO" Romo) which were priced above the $12 limit. Our waitress explained that she could put in the order as a cheaper burger and then add the extra ingredients, though it would cost us a few extra dollars. For some, this might be annoying, but the deal is so great it's worth paying a little more. As for the taste of the burgers, they hit the spot with all the interesting toppings (onion ring, coleslaw, bacon, cheese) placed on it. The burger itself was cooked well though the meat wasn't anything special. Overall I would return again (I'm interested in Tuesday's wing night) especially to watch some sports and have some beers. read more

Ok, let's talk burgers, The Raider is a great choice: bacon, cheese, mushrooms all perfectly set so every bite has a little of everything. Fries, which I normally hate, were done to perfection, my wife had to order a side for herself. Went here because a friend had a groupon for a meal for two. The food was pretty good and was nice and hot when it came out. Our waitress was very nice but only came to our table a few times during our entire meal. At one point I needed a refill on my water and got up to try to get a refill myself because the waitress hadn't been over. As soon as I got to the bar she walked over to our table. We got the check and with the groupon they will automatically add the gratuity onto your bill (the waitress did say this in the beginning but did not say how much). They had added almost a 45% gratuity to the bill! I get it, most people tip on the the total after the discount but even if we were to spend full price on these items a 20% tip still wouldnt have even been close to what was charged. read more
