I booked a pedicure here. I was told over the phone it was $50 for a regular pedicure. When I…read morearrived I was handed a menu and they it didn't list basic pedicure, instead it had options such as "lavender pedicure," which I chose for $60. I also asked for a set of nails. I already had acrylics on which the nail artist ended up removing. I was surprised that the removal of the acrylic nails was painless. Five stars for not popping my nails off! The nail artist who did my pedicure was kind. Her massage was good. I couldn't really tell I had a lavender pedicure I just saw some purple scrub being applied to me which is okay. The set of nails they put on me were called Gel X for $65 a set. The nails took much quicker time to place than an acrylic set. After a week and half about three came off which is good because I have kids my hands are always in the water for dishes, or for cleaning so they held up well. When I went back in to have them fixed I was told over the phone I would need a new set. The other seven nails left on me were attached very well. I was wandering how much it was going to hurt to have them taken off. Luckily, they didn't remove them and in fact filled them for me! I appreciate this. No pain! I love my Gel X nails. They are perfect. This has become my go to place. Only thing I would recommend is to ask for a punch card if it's your first time here when checking out. I was given one the second time because I believe they didn't remember to give me one the first time. I haven't used the card, but I think it's got some kind of freebie or discount once your punches are filled up. I also like this place because they ask if you want a massage after a Gel X set.

I asked for a pink base with a French tip and wanted my toes shaped as square as possible. They accommodated my request to switch to a pinker base color and the final result on the toes looked good. The manicure was a different experience. I asked for simple 3D flowers similar to the inspiration photos. The process took a very long time, so instead of multiple flowers we only did one flower on each ring finger. Before applying the flowers, the nail tech painted black outlines underneath them. Once I realized the black would still be visible, I asked whether it would be covered and was told it would not. I then had to ask for that part to be removed and redone. The 3D flowers themselves came out uneven and bulky compared to the inspiration photos, and I had to ask for some of the petals to be reshaped. There is also still some black visible underneath the white polish. At checkout I was quoted $250, which was unexpected given the design and final result. I asked for a breakdown of the pricing. The pedicure was initially listed at a higher tier than the one I selected, and after checking with the nail tech they corrected it back to the $50 pedicure I originally asked for. The rest of the total came from separate charges for French tips, gel, flowers, length of the nails and the manicure services. After small discounts, the final total was $230 before tip. Overall, the appointment took about four hours and the final manicure did not match the quality or pricing I expected. Pictured are side by sides of my nails and toes vs the inspo pics

This place is a gem and worth every dollar spent!…read more I've been to quite a bit of nail salon places in Concord/Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek area. There are some that are good, but unfortunately some that makes you not want to treat yourself in getting your nails done. That was what happened to me last year. A place I will not name, just shellacked the acrylic powder on my nails extremely thick, making me look like I have some nail related abnormality. And as a people pleaser, I just decided to deal with it and cry on my way home. That experience made me not want to get any more manicures. Fast forward to now. I missed feeling pretty and got super inspired by the nail art that the IG algorithm threw at me. I wanted to treat myself to a manicure with some art to celebrate Lunar New Year. This was a last minute game day decision, so during my appointment at Beau Den Spa, I surprised the owner with a picture inspiration... and she went above and beyond! She could've told me "I can't do them within the time frame of our appointment" or "nope." She probably could say "oh hell no" and I'd completely understand. I even said she can simplify them...but she did it all! They are the best nails I've ever had! Not an exaggeration but legit! She is extremely talented and meticulous. If you ever want to get elaborate nail art done, this is the place to go. Just make sure to let them know in advance of the complexity so that they ensure ample time is set aside. My mother is a huge fan of their pedicures. It's the only place that I know in the area that provides the highest quality of service. They do not rush nor do they speed their massages. Their name fits their services. You do indeed feel that you're getting a spa treatment. There are probably cheaper places to get your nails done in the area, but this place is where the quality standards matches the price point.

Loveee my nails done by Tracy. I highly recommend making an appointment with her…read more This is my second time at this salon. The first time i booked with a random tech and unfortunately my nails didn't come out as expected. However, Tracy fixed them and was very professional about it. Tracy is the owner and takes a lot of pride in her work and definitely cares that you walk out of the salon happy with your nails. The salon itself is clean, decorated cute, and there's lots of parking in the area.

You NEED to patronize this business if you do gel-x, BIAB, or just gel nails. ESPECIALLY Janelle! I…read moredrive all the way from Berkeley just to get my nails done here. They're one of the few nail salons that openly tells you they do gel-x fills, and doesn't pretend they can't fill gel-x even though they do BIAB. I refuse to have my nails reduced to painful sheets of paper because a salon wants to refile the entirety of my nail beds every time I want to change my manicure! Just, NO. Honest salons like K-Lux should be the standard. Janelle's gel-x sets have lasted me longer than a month, no lifting, whereas every other nail tech I've tried anywhere has my gel-x lifting before 2 weeks is even up. If you were about to give up on gel-x, try Janelle before you do! Even though her sets are long-lasting, I'm pretty much dedicated to going every 2 weeks for a fill when I can find the time! Plus they have every single chrome, glitter, crystal, and color you could ever want. It's NOT just what's on the shelves, the swatch decks, the boards, and books. They have drawers full of stuff you don't see. If you have a color you want and you don't see it, just show them! Glass cat eye? They have it. Glitter cat eye? Yup. Airbrush nails? Yes please. 3D designs? Uh-huh. With the selection of accoutrements I haaaaave seen, I wouldn't doubt they also have things like jelly polish, Mylar, flowers, and nail charms. Don't be afraid to ask! Did I mention they stay open til 7PM!!! on weekdays??? Um, yes!!! Just one star off because although they do acrylic, I'm not sure if their removal is soak-off and e-file, or ripping the nail off your bed like most salons, but I'm pretty sure if you asked them to do a soak-off and e-file removal, they would honor that if you preschedule, or they have the time on a walk in. But those are just the vibes I get. I could be wrong. Again, it never hurts to ask. It's a clean, chic salon with a good vibe, and it always smells nice in there. They're accommodating as long as you communicate with them. Try them out. PS. They're gentle with their e-files LOL vital information.
