Cajun Chicken Pasta

Very outdated and the chicken and pasta was just not up to par. The only great thing was the service cannot complain about that and that our bar was probably the only good thing.

It's a Ruby Tuesdays and it keeps nice people employed. You get a 10% coupon if you stay in the hotel behind it. I got the spinach artichoke dip and the salad bar. Salad bar wasn't half bad. Stuff was on the fresher side even at 8pm.

Tonight I had a crispy chicken sandwich. It was delicious. It doesn't come with lettuce. But lettuce would be a nice addition if you request it. A little mayonnaise will be a nice touch too. Our waitress Faye was on point as always. The dining room is very comfortable and casual. Love eating at Ruby Tuesday always.

The service was fantastic. Refilled drinks without having to ask. I always love the salad bar and today it didn't disappoint. The food did come out lukewarm which was unfortunate, however it was tasty. The bathroom had an incredibly strong urine smell to the point it made my stomach turn.

I go here quite a bit and honestly this time I had the best service I have ever had by Liana. The other waitress/bartender never writes down what I'm having and it always gets messed up. I hate it every time. Last time I went she even said that I said it wrong when I know for a fact I didn't because I deal with it every damn time. This time this waitress Liana wrote down exactly what I wanted and it came out exactly the way I wanted it. This goes a very long way. The food was excellent and I didn't feel like I was a burden on the waitress this time. I felt welcomed. The only reason I put a 4 star is because normally my service sucks bad. This waitress is a 5 star.

I will say that this is going to be a completely transparent and mixed review. The ambiance of the store is late 2000's era. However once you sit down the chairs are extremely uncomfortable and the menus are approximately the length of the whole table, so if you're dining with anyone additional expect a tight fit. The service was exceptional and not for one moment did I feel left out of service or forgotten about. On top of that our waitress was very polite and swift. We had ordered potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and boneless wings. They were all bland and in my opinion nothing shy of decent microwaveable food. Disappointed from this we decided to add an additional queso and chips and they were quite tasty. The queso is decent but the chips have a seasoning that is feint but makes for a good combination. Once I ordered my entree I was sure that I was going to be disappointed until my Cajun chicken Pasta arrived and it looked decent apart from a sad piece of garlic bread that had more Cajun sauce on it from my pasta than garlic. Once I bit into my pasta I was delighted and almost had a euphoric feeling. It was absolutely delicious. Only improvements could have been noticed via presentation. The photo below is my plate after I absolutely scarfed down that beautiful beast.

Gordon's frozen shrimp, microwaved ribs, flavorless bread stick.

The bartender was really nice, I ordered all the rhino things off the menu - an electric blue rhino martini which was very sweet and very blue. Not my favorite, I moved on to beer after that. I also got the rhino nachos - their totchos are no longer available, but made them for me with french fries (since they no longer carry tater tots). In all, I had a blast. Good food, fun location, and well priced. Parking is street parking - the location is a very residential area. There's a small lot across the street from the tavern that I noticed some people were parking in, so that may work for you too.

True Score: 3.0 Stars…read more I want to love the Rhino. I really do. The food is typical bar food which means if you get anything fried, it's going to be ok because it's hard to screw that up. The presentation and flavor leaves a lot to be desired for everything else. Average Bloody Mary was not worth the hype of all the toppings they advertised (most of which were forgotten). Probably the worst of it for me is that there seemed to be a spider problem. We saw four white medium size spiders while we were there. One dropped onto the booth from the ceiling while I was eating. I always want to support the local businesses but probably won't be back for food. Maybe as a watering hole for cheap drinks! Thanks

Meat quality could have been a little higher quality. But hey I might be too picky. Nice size servings. So don't take my word for it. Go give them a try. I'll go back again and try something different. Everybody around me their food looked good. It was a neat place with nice outdoor seating. It was packed. I'm not sure if it was a shift change or just timing, but even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, it felt like we were left a bit on the side for a while. Nothing major, just something noticeable. Also, while the food is creative and well made, some items felt a bit pricey for the portion size (for example, a meatball serving), so value may depend on what you order. That said, it definitely wouldn't stop me from coming back. Good food, good beer selection, and overall a solid spot.

I would bring everyone there. When they opened the new location in Windsor , it was still great. It was a birthday outing type of thing. I went again last week, which was likely my final time. For the past few years, I've been giving it a pass... growing pains, maybe? But the food is not what it was. The succulent, juicy brisket that I used to dream of has been dry and cold for the last year or so (probably 3 or 4 visits). The burnt ends, which used to be as addictive, are now no longer made from brisket...but what seems to be cubed chuck...again, dry. Texas sausage and pulled pork are still ok, as are the sides. On top of that, they are always short staffed, and the staff that they do have is not helpful...not friendly.. Just a big NOT anymore. I haven't been to the Hartford or New Haven locations recently, but as far as Windsor is concerned, it will not be going back anytime soon. I don't mind paying the premium prices for quality food and service, but you are no longer premium. Please figure this out. My favorite place no longer exists.. and I really want it to return to the quality of the past.

We were on vacation from Naples, Florida seeing family and friends in 5 states. driving on the back…read moreroads from Massachusetts to Rhode Island last Sunday morning 5/6. Let me tell you, while making a turn, quickly noticed the place and stopped. Saw the lighted OPEN sign. THE place is GREAT. A local fave I assume. The waitress was so very nice and personable. The whole time there felt great. Only 5 others there and us. The server and the few people we eventually met there were so nice. BTW, Have a great ending to this story but for now, ordered the IRISH QUESADILLA and my wife had an Omelette. (no picture of omelette sorry) but trust me, whichever one you get, you'll enjoy. I wanted lightly fried eggs and home fries instead of the scrambled and fries listed on the menu. Am I glad. The eggs were great and the home fries SPECTACULAR. I love corned beef hash and having it in a quesadilla this first time was exactly how I'd like it but may never see unless I asked for it and I will here in Florida. Didn't want this meal to end. My wife liked her omelette a lot also with those home fries and agreed. Perfect! And a bottomless cup of great coffee. We occasionally talked the three people who were seated near us and talked about everything. Laughed mostly and it was quite enjoyable. After their meals, they left and we then had just asked for our check. The waitress said it's been taken care of! What?? I ran out and hoped I'd see them and thank them. I did and they were just getting in their SUV. I thank them and for their company also. What they did we also did in Florida. It's called "Pay Forward". Wasn't familiar with it. A few years ago someone here in Naples bought US a breakfast and wanted to remain anonymous. Wow! What a treat. We looked the restaurant and thanked them loudly. The following year we anonymously paid this couples check. We're seniors and most people in our breakfast place were. We paid their check before it ended. (Ahead of time before they got it) also the tip. It felt good on both sides of this. Do it at least once and you'll feel good about it. And if ever in Windsor, CT. and driving aimlessly, put this address in your phone. You won't be disappointed. EnJOY!

Perhaps their other food is better than what I ordered, which was a combination grinder, but I have to say compared to others that I've had in the area, this seemed more like a 7-Eleven convenience store hoagie with its limited amounts of meat and cheese. The other thing that I'll mention )just because it seems to be a theme at every restaurant that I've been to around 8 PM in this town), everybody seems to be far more concerned about walking out the door two minutes before they're supposed to close is the impression they leave on guests now walk in 20 or 30 minutes before closing time. This will be the third time I've been to some quick family dining establishment in the area that I've had this experience-- I'm gonna offer management the same advice that I've offered to other establishments nearby: If there is a time of day that you want to leave work, you should close your business in whatever time it takes for you to clean in order to make that happen as opposed to risking guest walking in and being made to feel as if their inconveniencing everybody who works there for making the decision to go to your establishment to spend our money.

Mon to Sat they open at 5am. I was only 10 minutes away from 6 but I figured they look like a place I'd want to eat at anyway and fate brought me to this awesome establishment. Upon entering it's not too bright and not too dark especially for this hour. The place looks immaculately clean. It's your typical diner feel just a little more modernish with the color scheme inside. Two breakfast bars and the rest booths and tables. Round stools at the bar for seating. The waitress greeted me and I just sat at the breakfast bar. I got a a coffee to start, nice med - dark roast. Not burnt and tasted freshly made, good quality Java to wake you up. Better than Dunkin could offer lol. For my breakfast I decided on the Crazy Good Hash and a side of sausage (they offer links or patties, I love my patties so that's what I chose). First bite was just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect .. I low key was just thinking it would be the stuff from a can like other diners use but no.. you will not get that here. It was legit fresh corned beef... griddled with hashed potatoes .. it was light and flavorful, crispy crust and soft interior. Not drowning in sodium like the can stuff. The corned beef really just melted in your mouth, so juicy and tender just like a properly cooked corned beef should taste. It was just amazing and I was completely blown away. Paired together with high quality eggs and perfectly toasted with butter toast, there was not one bite left. I couldn't stop eating it. I was almost sad with my last bite .. but I was about to explode anyway since it was a very generous portion. I'm just a glutton when it comes to good savory foods. The sausage patties were great too .. nice crispy and juicy, good flavor profile, not herby like some .. I don't like those but these were great. Please come give this place a try and go for the Crazy Good Hash and Eggs. You won't regret it.
