The reason they get two stars is for the good service. The food does not warrant one star. Barbara was an awsome waitress. The food on the other hand was just not worth eating and I did not eat it. I had a Thai shrimp that had no flavor...I was so disappointed. Trying to make me happy Barbara brought out two sauces one tasted like mayo and had no heat to it the other was citrus flavored. I ordered two drinks one a Ruby Relaxer, which was pretty good the other a long island that was nasty. It consisted of sweet and sour..yuck! I visited today with my mom and I was so very disappointed in our meals. We ate there on Friday night with a group of ten people. The food was so tasteful that mom and I decided to visit again today. Mom ordered a Philly Cheesesteak that was burnt (overcooked)and asked for a redo of order; she got a bun and meat minus all the ingredients that make a Philly Cheese Steak (the waitress decided (not the customer) to replace order that way. I ordered the New Tacodilla on menu that was perfect on Friday but was missing items that made it tasty today. I waited for them to bring the missing items for over 10min while they seated new guest and took tickets to people checking out. I had a free salad redeem but because the waitress saw my mom take a few bites of my salad she charged me for another salad. My mom was hungry and while waiting on them to redo her sandwich took bites off of my salad.I tried to explain this to the manager and all I got from him that no one can share your salad as a rule. However, I felt there should have been some form of understanding seeing that my was an elderly lady and can't eat much; and had been waiting on her food. I will never go back to the S Pearson Rd location ever again. Terrible service and horrible kitchen. For a chain restaurant this place is okay. We got the 2 for $22 deal, with the artichoke dip, chicken breast and sides, and the skillet cookie. I got a Ruby Relaxer and husband got sangria. We got here at 5:15 only 1 person besides us. Got seated near the managers discussing scheduling. At 5:50 we finally got my son's order but not ours. At 5:58 our order came but it was wrong. Did not send it back for fear they might do something to it. We were told the meal could not substitute rice for another side but she substituted corn for rice. Not what I wanted on the Creole Chicken & Shrimp dinner. Wait staff was not attentive as needs be. Bath rooms wreaked of odors & old mop smells. Sweet tea was not sweet at all. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the manager didn't charge us for our food. Honestly deserves no stars. We were told upon entering there was a 30 minute wait.. no big deal. After over 40 minutes of waiting they went to seat us and then proceeded to tell us they were out of over half of their menu (the list pictured is what they handed us- which was wonderful because the whole reason we came was the wings and salad bar.) after a few minutes of reviewing the menu to see what they actually did have; pasta with no breadsticks because they were out, burgers, grilled shrimp, and ribeye steak. I settled for the 12oz ribeye with a side of corn and Mac. And I asked them to add the baby bell mushrooms advertised on the menu to the top of my steak for an additional $4. My husband also got a steak with the mushrooms as a side and the zucchini. And we both added the salad bar to our entree for an additional $5 each. The salad bar was overall okay. They were out of several items like shredded cheese for instance. I saw other customers annoyed by this as well, but overall the salad was good. The steak was cooked pretty close to how I like it, medium rare, it was juicy but was not flavorful at all and was definitely a disappointment. I ate 4 bites of mine and gave up on it. The corn was sweet but kind of overcooked, the mushrooms were absolutely terrible completely dried out and COVERED in garlic. The only good thing besides the salad, was my husband's zucchini and the Mac and cheese. The waiter seemed nice, but lacked paying attention. I feel like we had to wave him down to get what we needed; napkins, steak sauce, etc. My husband managed to get one drink refill and I sat with an empty glass the entire time I ate waiting for him to come back by. My husband too had an empty glass halfway through his meal. And we never got a refill. When he finally did come back by he asked if we were ready for the check, it felt rushed so I just told him sure, despite the fact that we not only wanted a drink refill but we wanted a dessert as well, but that option was not given. I went to sit in the truck due to being frustrated while my husband paid. When he came back he said the manager comped the meal. Which was pretty nice and unexpected considering my husband ate his and my steak, and it's the only reason I'm giving two stars. I definitely do not recommend this place, and the only food I would recommend for taste wise is the salad, zucchini, and the Mac. The worst service we have ever had. The waitress had an attitude from the moment she walked up to us. She walked up to take our orders and just stared at us, not even trying to be somewhat courteous. Not sure what her problem was, but I watched her being quite a bit friendlier to people with the same skin color as hers. We had to ask for literally everything: water, silverware, etc. There were hardly any customers in there and she never once came to check on us. Our drinks were empty when she finally brought the food, and she did not bother offering us refills. The place is dirty. The food is actually ok. Decided to try Ruby Tuesdays for the first time in many years. Wrong choice. The wait time was terrible. People were leaving after having to wait so long. The prices are too high for the serving size you get. They ran out of sweet tea, mashed potatoes, ground beef, etc. Wasnt told until a long wait that they were out of these items and had to reorder alternative items that oddly enough had the same ingredients they were out of. Stopped at Ruby Tuesday for dinner during a long cross-country drive. My main expectation when at a chain restaurant like Ruby Tuesday's is consistency, and I suppose it met that expectation. I wasn't super happy with the food but it may be a result of poor choices (steak and lobster mac). Our waitress was at the end of her shift and it showed, while she put on a good show when she was at the table, she pretty much avoided us unless she had a specific reason to be there. My main complaint though was the bathrooms.The men's room stank like a subway and the overall level of cleanliness was just below your average unattended rest stop. While I doubt I'll be back in Pearl, MS anytime soon--I certainly would never go to that Ruby Tuesday's again. read more

Ruby Tuesdays has a restaurant is a very solid place but if at all cost skip this one! The service at this location is TERRIBLE! I live on the road and eat every meal out and this was the WORST service I've had in a long time! We never got asked if we needed or would like refills on water, sweet tea and a beer! The restaurant was not even busy maybe less than 10 patrons eating or drinking. After waiting a decent amount of time for our food which was a buffalo chicken sandwich and fries, my fries were cold. The one good thing about my meal was the buffalo chicken sandwich is huge. My review is solely based on the server that we had! Maybe she was having a bad night, we all have them! If I could give 0 stars, I would. First, the server did not speak or tell her name (still don't know her name but if I did, I would tell you). When we ordered anything and said thank you, she would not reply. Just rude for no reason. We placed our order, and she never came back. When she finally brought out the food, she didn't bring my sister's food and stated that they did not have the Alfredo for her pasta. So I was like why bring out half the food and not tell us earlier that her meal was unavailable? So, my sister re-ordered after I had to run her down. I, also, asked for a manager. No manager or re-ordered food ever came. Keep in mind that I'm not eating my food until my sister's comes. I finally asked another waiter for the manager, and when he did come, he said that it wasn't that they didn't have Alfredo but that the order was put in wrong. So the server lied. He also tried to defend her as if she was so busy but the restaurant was not busy at all!!! Instead of owning the mistakes made, even when we told him how she never came back to check on us or refill drinks. So by then my sister is mad and asked for our ticket for just the food we had. She didn't want the re-order, she just wanted to pay and leave because we were not out for free meals like he offered. I, myself, know the steps you take when you screw up on an order, since I had been a server for 8 years. They still sent out the re-ordered in a Togo box by the 2nd server and brought me a Togo as well since I didn't eat without my sister's food. Our server and the manager never came back to our table to apologize or give us the check, so we left hungry minus the app we shared. This review is for the bar and bar service only. A coworker and I usually stop here on our way to the airport for a burger and beer. We always sit at the bar and have always been treated well. The bartender takes good care of us and always makes sure we have a cold beer and a refill. If we are in a hurry, the bartender will tell us how long things take to cook, etc. Usually a manager says hello as they walk by. The service has been good and the food is your typical Ruby Tuesday fare...burgers and the like. They have some good beers on tap, and we are always treated courteously. I recognize that some folks have not had the best experience, however, we have always been treated well by the bartender at the bar! read more

Where to start... This place grossed me out. It was dirty, the seats that we were sat at were sticky and cheap. The salad bar was disgusting. Food pushed too far back to be able to reach, dropped several of my toppings on the bar itself. Lettuce was soggy and gross. Appetizer was over cooked. The dip was burned to the glass dish it was served in. Entrees were mediocre. Nothing special. To top this off, a server in a section next to us, made my best friend feel very uncomfortable by walking by and stating that he "sure was jealous he didn't have our table" all the while making eyes at her. Both kids had these massive chicken tender baskets and fries salad bar and caramel crunch cake dessert. The cake was good but it tasted like the sauce had a bitter coffee taste. The kids demolished it though. One bite was enough for me. Server was overwhelmed with too many tables assigned to her, so needless to say, service wasn't so good. But you could tell by how accurate and detailed she was (when she was around) that under normal circumstances she would be really good. The lettuce was completely brown and instead of replacing it, they brought out what they claimed was fresh salad and just put it right on top of the rotted one. What a horrible experience. Hubby and I were in Jackson visiting my family and decided to have a family lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. We arrived at around 1:30 PM on a Sunday, well beyond the normal lunch crowd. There were plenty of open seats, but because the kitchen was backed up, the hostess refused to seat anyone. After waiting for about half an hour and being told that they could split our party of 6, they finally decided to accept my compromise of pushing two tables together. Thank goodness. Following this debacle, our waitress took our drink order and did not return for 15 (or more minutes). In the mean time, we had all decided what we would have liked to order, and had previously placed an appetizer order that was no where to be seen. When she finally returned, we begged for some biscuits because at this point it was after 2 PM, and we were HUNGRY. Our waitress surprisingly questioned whether someone else had provided us some already. They hadn't. While she returned several minutes later to inform us that the biscuits would take another 8 minutes, she offered chips and salsa on the house. At this point, we were annoyed and told that our entrees were on their way out, so we opted out. I have to say that I appreciate the gesture, though it was a "too little, too late" scenario. Ultimately, she did bring out the biscuits, and they did taste good. When our food finally arrived, we ate as though we'd never eaten. I got the Chicken Bella, my parents got the Caribbean chicken, my husband got the jambalaya, and my aunt and uncle got soup and salad. Of the dishes, the caribbean chicken was spiced and cooked well. The mashed potatoes were a table favorite. My husband's jambalaya had good ingredients but did not taste like jambalaya. Given the over 45 minute wait (in an empty restaurant), I may be over-rating the food because of how hungry I was when it arrived. My family has been to this restaurant a couple of other times and had similar experiences, though this definitely was the icing on the cake. We will not be returning here again. read more
