I had a great visit yesterday, 4 June 2025. I am not sure why this location gets such a bad review. I had one of the most awesome looking burgers, and their salad bar was fresh and tasty! The interior was perhaps a little dated, but it felt comfortable and inviting. I haven't eaten at a Ruby Tuesday in many years, but this one really hit the spot for some nostalgia. This is your standard American fare restaurant. I have to say that we received great service. Our server came by and refilled our water. He came by multiple times to check on us. The food was ok. Some of the items were better than others. All of their entrees come with two sides. For one of the entrees we got the Hickory Bourbon Chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli & cheese soup. The other entree was the Hickory Bourbon Bacon Sirloin Combo with half rack of ribs. We got this with mashed potatoes and Portuguese bean soup.To get the soup as a side is $1.50 upcharge. The two soups were fantastic. The Portuguese bean soup is almost like the one at the Punahou Carnival. They were both so good. The bourbon chicken was moist and tender. The bourbon sirloin was cooked perfectly, but was very thin. The ribs were dry. They both needed more bbq sauce. For the ribs I chose the mango bbq sauce, which I didn't taste at all. I asked the server to bring me a side of the mango bbq sauce, which he did. I poured the sauce over the ribs and it was so much better. They're known for their salad bar. Final night with my cousin's as they were in town, and her bf's birthday was this past weekend. Bday boy was craving seafood but as we were all on a budget, Ruby Tuesday's was in mind. For the majority of us, it was our first time here in a very long time. We met up at 6:30pm for our dinner reservation, not a very busy evening, to the point where there was so much parking available in the shopping center. There was a total of 9 of us, and the majority of us had opted for the salad bar. We also ordered mostly glasses of water and lemon was also offered, nice touch! Our seating was exactly in the middle of the restaurant, air conditioning was pretty cold, atmosphere and sound level was averagely quiet. By the time we got seated with our salads, it was time to order entree's. Our server, she was excellent, super speedy with extremely polite service, just the nicest friendliest person to make everyone's dinner comfortable as if you're in her own home. Everyone's entree's were delivered extremely fast, with nothing forgotten. I even got to sample three types of soups! Food was worth it, dinner was great. Customer service was excellent! This happened at 5:05pm on Tuesday 2/3/26. We arrived and were greeted by the hostess. Was seated then sat on the table for 30 minutes no water or utensils. Asked for the manager through the hostess. She said he was too busy right now in the kitchen and will be out in 5 minutes. He never came out and ignored my concerns. Not sure what the managers name was but he was an older white dude with a f'd up attitude. If you are too busy to take care of a paying customers issues then maybe don't be a manager. My usual is the cheeseburger and fries with salad bar for $16.99. I'll fill up at the salad bar, and take the burger and fries home! The salad bar is always clean and fresh. Stocked with a nice variety of veggies and fruits, and I love the croutons! We consistently get fast and friendly service- we gotta eat and run since we're on our lunch break. I haven't been to Ruby Tuesdays in a year or so The menu got even larger than the last time. I like the soup and salad bar. They have a great selection of fresh veggies! Spinach, curly lettuce, romaine etc beside the usual they had cremini mushrooms, lots of toppings. The soups were all very good. I liked them all. Portuguese bean ( I would like more Portuguese sausage) tomato bisque was nice and thick and the broccoli and cheese was very thick and cheesy with big chunks of broccoli Our friend ordered the taco salad which was beautiful in a huge tortillas shell Our server was super on top of things. Came here for drinks. It wasn't busy which was nice and we got served right away. The bartender got our order and drinks came promptly. This place is a good place to catch up with friends since it is not loud. They have TVs that show the local game which was nice. I've been here before for dinner and food was good too. They have a large patio for big parties as well. read more

Sat at bar eating my salad waiting on food and cockroach runs up my arm. So i show bar tender and she just runs off like its another one. I get my steak and was mostly fat. A thin slimy cut of fat. As I skimmed through it with my knife I realized that this place had gone downhill. I later woke up in the middle of the night coughing up grease. This lasted until i threw up in the morning and got a sore throat and now terrible sick. Never again. Also, the bathroom is basically just one big urinal. Im pretty sure people dont enter further than the door jam anymore to do their business. Just make sure to walk it off before entering your car. You dont want grippy floor mats to top of the cockroaches you may track in. read more

A coworker was telling us that she came here recently and the waitress told her that you can get unlimited fries with her slider meal so we wanted to try see if this was really true. Going through the menu we didnt see it on there but when we asked the server she said that it is really a thing. We all were craving burgers and fries. I got the smokehouse burger - i enjoyed it. It was juicy - cooked just right, tasty and enjoyable, we even got more fries when we ran out. Saw a couple people near us getting the unlimited salad bar, it looked good. Maybe will try it next time. The staff here was friendly and have no complaints, service was good. They have a big parking lot here, it was busy but we still found parking. We have had multiple great experiences here and continue to go back! The wings with the hickory bourbon sauce are out of this world and we tell everyone to get them. Their ribs are also delicious and we get the mango sauce -- well worth every bite! The best part about this though: every waiter we've had has provided us with great experiences! My Aunt, Cousin and myself wanted to try out Ruby Tuesday's 1st Tuesday of the Month Prime Rib promotion but, unfortunately, we arrived to late because they already ran out of Prime Rib, LOL! Already anticipating that they may be low or out of stock, I was prepared to order the Ribeye steak, LOL! We were sat pretty quickly by the hostess at a nice table near a window. She stated that our server would be Cheryl and she would be right with us! Cheryl came a few minutes later took our drink and appetizer orders, where I ordered a Cesar Salad for my Aunt and I to share and a Garden Salad for my cousin. For our main courses, my Aunt ordered the all time 'tried and true' Hamburger Steak plate with Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli, my cousin ordered the Asiago Peppercorn Sirloin (medium) with Rice and Sauteed Zucchini and I ordered the Rib Eye (medium-rare) with Parmesan Cream sauce (from the Asiago Peppercorn Sirloin) with Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Green Beans with the added Grilled Shrimp! Everything was awesome, prepared properly and soooo good! We all totally enjoyed our dishes and couldn't even finish that we had to ask for a take away container for each of us! Also, this was the first time I ate at this particular location (other locations here in Hawaii I've tried but not this location) and found it very pleasantly busy but not overly busy where there is a line out the door for days like at the Windward Mall location, LOL! We stopped going to Ruby Tuesday since the closing of the Mililani location. We recently tried the Moanalua location and have been blown away with the excellent service! While the food can be a hit or miss.... The Service out weighs the blimp with the food. "M" our server epitomizes excellent service and going above and beyond for her customers. On our first visit I requested a li hing margarita. She informed me "it's not on our menu, but we have the ingredients and I'll take care of getting it made for you! How very awesome and accommodating. Today on our visit, she memorized our orders from our first visit and informed me that unfortunately they were out of the li hing ingredient for my margarita, she apologized and said, she would make it a point to get some of the li hing ingredient and it would be here for our next visit. How totally amazing is that! Then, I find out, it's not a budgeted item from the restaurant but coming from her pocket! Oh my gosh! What dedication to excellence and customer service! My BFF & I went here for lunch yesterday (12/30/23, Saturday). She was wanting to eat salad & an added bonus, we each had gift cards to use up. We got there about 11:30AM. This place is located in the Moanalua shopping center. This shopping center has a decent sized parking lot but usually on any given day, it's packed. Surprisingly when we pulled up not only was the center not busy, but there was plenty of parking and a parking spot curbside, right in front of the restaurant. Score! The restaurant was not busy at all for being near lunch time, maybe about a 1/4 full. We were greeted by a young man who seated us immediately just on the other side of the salad bar. I80A waitress came by shortly to get our drink orders. The menus were already on the table. The host nor the waitress wore name tags but by my receipt, it looks like her name was Marci. She was very pleasant & nice. It took a few minutes to peruse the menu as I had not decided what I wanted. She came back a couple of times but I wasn't ready. My friend & I were busy catching up. Marci was patient with us. My BFF decided on the endless soup & salad bar. I went to check out the salad bar first before deciding. There wasn't anything special about the salad bar except it did have a large variety of salad fixings & everything looked fresh in addition to being clean. I wanted some protein with my salad so decided on an entree salad of the Furikake Ahi. I was hesitant about ordering ahi anywhere because it's always dry. Marci asked how I wanted it so I told her medium. It didn't take long for my salad to come. Meanwhile, my BFF made a beautiful looking salad from the salad bar & she ordered the tomato soup from the waitress. Soups aren't at the bar. It's still unlimited, they just bring it to you & if you want to try a different one, as well. When my salad came, Marci noticed it was not cooked medium but on the rare side. She was going to take it back to have them re-do it but I told her rare was fine. After all, raw fish is raw fish when you've grown up on it. The salad was very delicious & filling. It had mixed greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, cheddar cheese, & 5 pieces of ahi. Wasabi-honey-ranch dressing was served on the side. It had a nice flavor, a little heat but not spicy. I thought the salad was a little pricey though at $22.79 for only 5 ahi pieces. The ahi was excellent. The rareness of the ahi made it seem like steak when you cut into it, tender & not dry at all. It had good flavor with the furikake. We were there talking story after our meal, nobody rushed us out the door. The only thing they could have done is ask if we wanted more water as my glass got empty. Not once did we get offered any the whole time we dined there. Overall, we had a great experience & good tasting food. Service was excellent from the host to Marci, our waitress. Their prices are on the high side so not sure if I would keep coming back as there are other places that offer simillar for less $$. They just need to improve on offering diners if we want more water. I did notice that at that time of day, there were no buspersons. read more

Service was horrible. Food was horrible. Absolutely last time I'm ever eating at Ruby Tuesday. I had to keep getting up because a robot with trays of food needed to get by to deliver to another table/ return to kitchen. I finally decided not to get up after getting up and moving 4 different times. On the third time robot came with food I didn't move and robot returned to kitchen with food. Then the back kitchen staff member walked by to deliver food and I was elbowed in the back of the head and then she attempted/apologized in a rude way/ Ex: she gave a half turn while walking away saying excuse me. (Don't know her name but she was a big girl not tall). She came out from the back kitchen when robot failed to deliver the food as I wouldn't move for the fifth time. Horrible. read more

Came here and had the Endless soup combo which included the garden salad bar. Awesome deal! You can get any soup, and get refills or another soup and the salad bar is not only AYE but quite extensive. Had the cheddar broccoli soup and a half bowl of the tomato bisque. The cheddar broccoli was amazingly good, The tomato bisque was quite tasty, too. Salad bar had the usual lettuce but also my fav - spinach. Love to make u own fresh spinach salad with all kinds of toppings, grape tomatoes, cubed ham, bacon bits, broccoli florets, croutons, crumbled boiled egg, canned mandarin oranges, and more. Several salad dressings rounds out the bar and you have great variety. What was really cool was seeing an automated (robotic) cart gliding by! Service was great. Darn this place. Conveniently located, friendly service, unlimited salad bar. But the food..... This is the kind of food that is lacking in care or love. The pastrami sandwich tastes like some parts of it were microwaved. The ribs, decent but nothing special, just ..... Adequate is the word. You can eat the food, but it's not like it is anything great. In fact, it's edible..... it's ok. Right around the corner is a better ribs place. Subway used to be there and their pastrami sandwich was better. However the salad bar is pretty good and the drinks plentiful. Drink enough and probably everything tastes better. My BF and I went out to lunch with his teenage boys. I ordered a salad. It looked great when it came out from kitchen but then I started noticing the lettuce had what appeared to be dirt all in it. This lead me to further inspection lol. Then I found a fully intact winged insect. When my boyfriend alerted the waiter he casually asked "You want me to take it back?" Um... yes! Our Server was attentive and got everything that we needed as quickly as he could. My Margarita tasted amazing, not too much beer on tap though. I absolutely loved my BBQ Smokehouse burger. Cooked to medium with Fries. This location is a definite hit or miss in food + service. I'm glad there were no disappointments. It's been a while I've been to this chain. I remember going a few times when I was younger and liked the salad bar. I ordered the salmon with French fries and green beans. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much for Ruby Tuesday, but it was pretty good. The salmon wasn't overcooked and was seasoned well. My main compliant was that our waiter basically forgot about us. With only 3 people, we weren't a super high maintenance table and didn't have any special requests or a particularly large order. Our waiter didn't really check in with us for refills with any of our drinks and when we asked, he forgot to bring it to us. The other thing that happened was when we asked for the check, it looked like he went to get it and then got side tracked by helping another table and forgot about us again. We had a great dining experience here today for lunch. Our waiter Dansen was excellent. Great service, attentive, nice, and hard working. We also had a fun experience with a robot Keenon. We started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was excellent and a large portion. My pastrami sandwich and fries followed quickly after our appetizer. The pastrami was grilled placed on a grilled fresh hoagie bun with dill pickles. I didn't especially like the fries. I prefer crispy fries. My bf loved his sirloin steak with loaded baked potato and a fresh garden salad. He enjoyed his entire meal. The ambiance was very chill not busy as they were years past. I met my friends here for lunch one day and opted for the Asiago Bacon Chicken since I'm on a low carb diet. Grilled chicken breasts with baby 'bella mushrooms, bacon, Parmesan cream sauce, and Asiago cheese with a side of broccoli Sounds amazing however this has got to be one of the grossest meals I've had in a while... the meat was hard and dry, the bacon wasn't "real" and the broccoli was sour! My meal wasn't the only one with issues. My friend ordered the baby back ribs and they were so salty she couldn't eat it. Her daughter ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken tenders and it too was gross! It was so gross, We had to send it back... I didn't even want to try anything else in its place. Not to mention the price was outrageous for such a plate (over $20!!) and it's not even in Waikiki! Felt like they were taking advantage of the military personnel who probably frequent it due to location! My friend (with the ribs) ended up spending the evening puking her brains out after that meal! The waitress was nice enough and took the food back (wasn't her fault) and talked to the manager to take it off our bill. The manager never came to the table to apologize or try to make it better either. Not a great first impression. I think it's safe to say I'm NEVER going back to any Ruby Tuesday EVER... and I'd Never recommend anyone to either! read more

October 9, 2021: I wasn't going eat here I was going to head back to the missile tracker I work aboard but, at the last minute I jumped off the bus and walked up the hill in the rain because I really wanted a good turkey burger. A bit wet and hauling a heavy load of books from Book Off, I entered, showed my vax card, had my temp taken and was instructed to sit two seats from everyone else at the bar, which I did and, in fact, I had what I felt was the best seat to watch the Dodger playoff game... and I followed all the restaurant's rules. With only two other people, not in the same party, at oposite sides of the bar, I counted out the seats. 1,2 then me.... but the tv view sucked... so I counted out two more and the third one was me. Perfect. Well ... In walks a haole couple and they sit and f#%@ things up for me by not abiding by the rules and forcing the bartender/waitress/lackey to ask me to move. WTF? I got a great seat, I was there first and the couple didn't abide by the rules. The host stand didn't care that I was leaving (there wasn't another available seat at the bar with a good viewing angle at all)... the bartender couldn't have cared... so from here out I will not care either. I should have stayed on the bus is the bottom line. Now with the rain I am trapped at the Panda Express shelter... and the bus stop on Nimitz doesn't have a roof, perhaps due to construction? Oh and a Lyft back will be 10 bucks ...all with no food. Many faithful years going to this and many, many other locations on the mainland need to fade from my memory. So, in a way I guess I am fortunate that there aren't any near where I currently live and I will hope that it stays that way. Shame on the management and this team as a whole. An unhappy exiting customer is allowed to depart without an ounce of solution offered. This is a brilliant marketing tactic. Corporate should file this one under Epic Fail.
