October 9, 2021: I wasn't going eat here I was going to head back to the missile tracker I work aboard but, at the last minute I jumped off the bus and walked up the hill in the rain because I really wanted a good turkey burger. A bit wet and hauling a heavy load of books from Book Off, I entered, showed my vax card, had my temp taken and was instructed to sit two seats from everyone else at the bar, which I did and, in fact, I had what I felt was the best seat to watch the Dodger playoff game... and I followed all the restaurant's rules. With only two other people, not in the same party, at oposite sides of the bar, I counted out the seats. 1,2 then me.... but the tv view sucked... so I counted out two more and the third one was me. Perfect. Well ... In walks a haole couple and they sit and f#%@ things up for me by not abiding by the rules and forcing the bartender/waitress/lackey to ask me to move. WTF? I got a great seat, I was there first and the couple didn't abide by the rules. The host stand didn't care that I was leaving (there wasn't another available seat at the bar with a good viewing angle at all)... the bartender couldn't have cared... so from here out I will not care either. I should have stayed on the bus is the bottom line. Now with the rain I am trapped at the Panda Express shelter... and the bus stop on Nimitz doesn't have a roof, perhaps due to construction? Oh and a Lyft back will be 10 bucks ...all with no food. Many faithful years going to this and many, many other locations on the mainland need to fade from my memory. So, in a way I guess I am fortunate that there aren't any near where I currently live and I will hope that it stays that way. Shame on the management and this team as a whole. An unhappy exiting customer is allowed to depart without an ounce of solution offered. This is a brilliant marketing tactic. Corporate should file this one under Epic Fail. PS: My fellow Yelp Elites, especially those who follow me take heed. read more

The worst place ever, don't come here. I ask for a well down burger and received a medium well done burger. I ask them to remake the burger and they took the same meat recooked it and placed it back on to the bun which had blood on it along with the same lettuce which was now soggy from the oil. I don't have pictures of the food but here is the receipt. Also, stay way from the salad bar it's open and not very sanitary read more

We stopped in for a quick dinner after the NEX. On 12/29/33. And I got some sort of stomach bug'. Not going to eat here again for a long time.... Was sick in bed all day 12/30/33. I was planing on having a working dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. It was a good opportunity to have a sit down dinner, partake in their salad bar amongst other things and get some work done. The guy acting as the host would not seat me at a booth or any table with enough room that would allow me to open my portfolio. He told me that he had to save those tables for larger parties. It was 4:15 pm and the place was almost completely empty. I'm normally in and out within an hour... did I mention that I usually over purchase and over tip? I used to bring my entire work crew there every Friday when we had a project in the area. It looks like the next time I have a project in the area we are going to hold our weekly pay Hana at iHop. Someone please let me know if there is a good sit down place in the area. Ruby Tuesday is off the list. read more

Steaks did NOT come as ordered. Medium well was more medium rare and a medium rare steak was almost RAW. The white gristle was still on most of the cut, making pretty much the whole thing inedible. Steaks weee also dry. Checked we ordered was also dry. Take out order but ZERO presentation. Looks like they just threw the food in the containers. I was also NOT notified when my order was done, even though I gave my phone number when I ordered. We've had good experiences in the past with both service and the food. Today was a total disappointment and a waste of $$. Won't recommend and won't go back. read more

I rarely post reviews, but this one had to be done. Friday immediately got a table for 7 (including 3 kids). Local woman was out waitress and seemed nice, but wasnt very attentive to our table. Was busy taking pictures with people and chatting. Not that big of a deal at first. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, she asked if i wanted raw or grilled onions so i said grilled. Two other people ordered sandwiches and was asked fries, sweet potato fries or tater tots? One choose tots and one picked sweet potato fries. Ordered a 2nd beer and it never came after a long wait, so we flagged down another waitress and ordered it through her. After everyone finished eating we asked for the bill. We noticed that 3 extra up charges for the grilled onions, sweet potato fries and tots. When she came, we asked why was there an upcharge. She said "I gave you a menu, its on there" sarcastically. Hmmm ok, but it was the way she said it, basically saying "can't u read", that's the way we took it. We said we didn't know and since the way you asked how we wanted the Burger and sandwiches, we thought it was just an option. Again no worries, kind of. Then she asked if we wanted dessert, we declined. Then she comes back woth some small chocolate and says "here, these are FREE, so don't have to pay" sarcastically. Damn wth is going on with her. To us that seems to be throwing shade to us and all we did was ask about the upcharges. We didn't say deduct it or even ask for a manager. Business owners please be reminded that your employees attitude makes a big difference in whether a customer will be a repeat customer. We actually eat there a week prior and the young man who helped us was one of the best weve ever experienced in a restaurant. We were seriously thinking about not tipping her, but ultimately did, granted probably not the amount she wanted. Bottom line is dont get into the customer service industry witha sarcastic demeaning attitude if you cant even pretend and try to make the customer happy. read more

Had the best lunch today at the Moanalua location of Ruby Tuesday! I love their salad bar but today it was exceptional! They brought back the beets, and the potato salad and the pasta salad were really good! Usually both salads have a kind of chalky taste to it but today both were creamy with a good taste. Last time I went, the cubed ham was extremely salty! Today it was not overly salty and good! My other half ordered the turkey burger and commented how tasty and juicy the patty was and the sweet potato fries were delicious! Our server Jong was very attentive and friendly! Glad we stopped there for lunch! Definitely will be back! In my opinion, this location is the best of this chain's locations! read more

The service was pretty good last night but the food was eh. My husband's burger bun was so soggy, the sauce that was supposed to be on the burger was a liquid rather than a sauce. Luckily he said that it still tasted good but it was a mess to eat. My burger was fine but I ordered a turkey burger, hard to mess up. My food was over seasoned and my husband and mother in law's food was under seasoned. I mean it's a chain restaurant so can't expect much I guess. I haven't been in a while and now I remember why. Good service but mediocre food at best. Not bad, just not great. read more

Checked this place out for a good pau-hana on a Friday. I really like Moanalua Shopping Center as it has that mainland hospitality in the area with the military demographic. So it is kind of a nice change from the usual bars and restaurants in town. Was just here for the sampler trio appetizers and a few rounds of beers and mix drinks. I had their Blue Moon draft and it was so smooth. Didn't seem too busy and service was attentive from beginning to end. I was trying to figure out why this place is rated so low but didn't find anything wrong with our visit. Would love to come here again if I'm in the area. And maybe try the salad bar next time read more

First time here with the fam. We were around the area after church and were looking for a place to eat with a salad bar. Our first impression of the front entrance looks nice. The inside look nice with a open salad bar right in front when entering. When came to ordering dinner we decided to not go to the salad bar because it was a little to pricey just for salad even if it's a all you can eat. Bummer. I decided to order the ribeye steak, medium rare. Steak was surprisingly cooked perfectly the way I wanted. It was a real medium rare the way it should be. The tenderness of the steak was there but not so much on a flavor unfortunately. And my wife ordered the chicken and broccoli pasta if I'm not mistaken. And of course my kids got the macaroni and cheese with fries. I have to say my kids loved it. The down side of the place is the service. It definitely wasn't the best experience with our server. Service took a while to get started and she was not so welcoming and never around. It wasn't the dinner that I expected for the first time experience but I say the only best part was at least the dessert since my kids ate all the deep fried cheesecake with ice cream. read more

We had reservation for 11 people for a birthday and appreciation day for administration! Seven had full meals of the ribs and shrimp, one had ahi burger and three of us had the taco salad! I was disappointed in the taco salad as it did not have any seasoning but the cooks gave us some kind of dressing with banana peppers and no refried beans or guacamole. So it had a dab of sour cream, lots of lettuce and dried hamburger! read more

Our Fathers day lunch. I have to say it was better than expected. After being let down at a few places my expectations were not so high. The food was good, the wait was not long and our family enjoyed it. Service was friendly and welcoming, our waiter was constantly checking on us and made sure we were doing good. Restaurant itself was clean and welcoming. We were thinking of sitting outside but there were too many birds so we stayed inside. We will most likely come back. read more

6 years ago my bf received 2 $25 giftcards to Ruby Tuesdays. We finally got around to using them and made the trek all the way out to Moanalua since apparently all the other locations no longer exist. After doing some Christmas shopping we decided to just order takeout because we were too tired to wait for a table. We called in the order and made our way over to the restaurant. The person on the phone wasn't exactly the most friendly but when we got there they were pretty busy so I don't blame him. Food was ready in about 25 minutes which is pretty good for how busy they were. I got the Fish and Chips. The portion size was pretty big. I'm a big eater and I could not finish the 3rd piece of fish and about half the fries. Taste was fine but I prefer my the fish batter to be nice and crispy. This one was pretty soggy but I'm not sure if it was due to general takeout problem. My bf got the Asiago Peppercorn Sirloin. He said it was fine. Didn't notice any peppercorns and the steak was chewy but it isn't like it was a filet so to be expected. He did like the fact that onion rings were an option as a side. Overall there wasn't really anything bad but nothing that stood out. read more

My experience at this location was shocking terrible. Me and my family had decided to have dinner here because we have always had decent experiences at other Ruby Tuesday locations. After being seated and putting our orders, it took over an HOUR to be served our food. After being served our food, 2 members of our group were given the wrong order, while most of the others were given almost FROZEN food. This whole experience was just absolutely horrific, it nearly ruined our whole vacation. The only part of the experience that was okay was the service; the waitress we were given was very nice and understanding of our issues. We have not been to a Ruby Tuesdays since this experience, and we do not plan on going anytime soon. read more

4 1/2 stars really. Got the top shelf margarita on the rocks and I must admit, outstanding. Had an umami flavor, like li-hing or grapefruit bitter hint that made every sip irresistible for me. It was not the syrupy sweet type, nor tart/sour. The ribs were fall off the bone and thats the way I like it. One can order a combo of the 9 fantastic rib flavors. It comes with 2 sides. The bourbon salmon was excellent with its sticky sweetish sauce. The loaded baked potato was loaded with a great amount of butter and sour cream. read more

After reading several Yelp ratings, we still decided to eat here and were lucky to have great service and food on a busy weekday night. Full rack ribs - 5 stars - for around $27, got 2 layers of fall off the bone ribs. For $5 extra, we ordered the all you can eat salad bar in place of 1 side. The ribs were very tender, and there were 5 choices of sauces to choose from to flavor the ribs. I chose the mango sauce which was sweet and flavored the ribs perfectly. 6 oz top sirloin steak - 3 stars - for $20, the steak was chewy and too salty. Not worth the price. Salad bar - basic, but more than enough to fill me. Not worth buying on it's own for around $15, but worth buying for only $5 with your meal instead of a side. Service - 5 stars - our friendly waitress was happily, busily serving and checking up on everyone that was assigned to her. Food arrived fast, our waters were filled and plates were cleared. Lots of parking since it is in the moanalua shopping center. read more

Just dropped by to c if Ruby Tuesday would put on da Maui little league game today. Asked da bartender if one of the many TVs could b switched from the Olympic games to ESPN showing da Maui game n she quickly obliged w no hesitation. Now dats service! One of the lunch servers even turned up da volume on da game which really surprised me! Now dats REAL GOOD SERVICE! Service at this Moanalua location is just top notch. My Furikaki Ahi n Baked Potato was suprisingly Ono too. They use a nice grade of Ahi hea n da Wasabi Aioli was da perfect complement to dat ahi. N Baked Potato being served at lunch was something I never experienced before. Steamed Broccoli was yummy too. All in all Excellent service along w very good food means I'll b back! Kind of bummed that their rating is so low it almost prompted me to not go but I was looking forward to their ribs since we went a couple days earlier to another location but we came too early and they were only serving breakfast. Anywho, I'm pleased with this location. I think it's only my second time in probably 5-8 years. I always forget about this location. Parking can be a little tricky just because this spot has so many eateries and not enough stalls if it's busy. We went just before lunch time on a Sunday and there were literally like two stalls open. There's a large parking lot, you may just end up parking further away from the restaurant itself. Upon arrival there were a bunch of servers/hostesses there offering a welcoming greeting. They weren't that busy but they pretty steady the whole time we were there. I loved our server, she was super on it and had great customer service. There was another female server in the same area that was also very helpful, I think her name was Natasha but I forget my server's name. The food was also on point. After reading other reviews that weren't that great, you have to have what they're known for. You don't go to a seafood restaurant and order steak or vice versa. That said, their ribs are consistent. This is the fourth location I've been to recently and every time they have been great! Meat is fall of the bone and perfectly seasoned, you can ask for more sauce if needed. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE/STALE FOOD/DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS VETERANS…read more On 7/30/2026, I ate at Shark's Den Bar & Grill because my flight was delayed and, by the time I checked into the Airport Honolulu Hotel, it was already close to 8:00 p.m. I was scheduled for surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center the next morning and had been instructed to stop eating at 9:00 p.m. so I didn't have time to look for another restaurant. As advertised by the business, the restaurant is "located in the Honolulu Airport Hotel." Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. After being seated, a couple who arrived after me were greeted and had their orders taken before anyone acknowledged me. It wasn't a great first impression. I ordered the loco moco and requested the eggs to be cooked over easy. The server then asked how I wanted my hamburger patty cooked, which caught me off guard. I've ordered loco moco many times over the years and had never been asked that before. Seeing my confusion, the server suggested having the burger cooked medium then I agreed. When my meal arrived it was around 8:30 p.m. and the eggs were cooked medium instead of over easy. The bigger issue, however, was the rice. The texture was very inconsistent...some bites were stale and crunchy, others were chewy, and some grains even stuck to my teeth. It gave the impression that the rice wasn't freshly prepared. Given the restaurant's convenient location for airport travelers, I was hoping for a quick, satisfying meal before my surgery. Unfortunately, the questionable service and disappointing food quality made for a less-than-ideal dining experience. I hope they can improve both their service and consistency in the kitchen. This restaurant also advertises having "live music", but on the Thursday night I was there they had karaoke. Can't wait to see your review of your surgery. (Thumbs up emoji)" Rutilio's comment to me actually reinforces why I described the service as "questionable." Customer service doesn't end when the check is paid...it also includes how a business and its employees respond to customer feedback. There's maybe three or four nilla wafers on the bottom and one on the top for presentation. For the few wafers on the bottom, there was a slice of banana on top. Potentially totaling maybe three slices. For those slices, though, the banana was not ripe. You could tell the banana slices needed a few more days before use. Overall, I was wildly disappointed. I would highly not recommend their banana pudding, which is such a shame. I wished I loved it but sadly 0/5. The best part of the whole pudding was the 4 soft wafers. If that's the case, that should tell you something.

I ended up making one taco with all the fish and a potato taco with some tots before finally giving up. I know things are tough for restaurants right now. But this was ridiculous. I paid and left and called it a lesson learned. I'll likely stick to the Pucks Alley location from now on. Still some pride in what they serve there.

To make matters worse, our table had an obstructed view of the hula show, despite my specifically requesting a good table so I could entertain my loved ones visiting from the mainland. I guess this is what happens when a 20% service charge is automatically locked in for a party of six. I have no problem tipping appropriately for good service, but I certainly don't believe poor service deserves the same treatment. This experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I've always had good experiences dining here, but unfortunately, not this time. What the heck happened--personnel, management, or just an off night? When you arrive, they have one side to check-in for reservations and one side to check-in for walkups. As I mentioned above, the inside is rather small and a bit cramped. However, the service is very friendly! I had the deluxe pork loin set which includes rice, salad, soup, and curry sauce. The meat was extremely tender, but the coating was a touch oiler than I am used to. The curry sauce was really tasty and was a nice addition to the katsu! I also love that they had fountain soft drinks with complimentary refills. This was a very tasting tonkatsu dining experience in Honolulu!

It all started when we were asked about what drinks we wanted. From looking at the menu, I asked a simple question about the tea/lemonades because I don't work here and I would like to know if they served mango tea or mango lemonade because there's a difference. The waiter had a snippy tone and replied as if it was SO obvious. They have mango tea and lemonade. SORRY I ASKED. Very unaccommodating, rude, and unspecific. I asked what "dirty rice" is and the only answer that I got was "its wild rice with pork". What the heck is wild rice? You can't be any more specific? The regular/universal/standard for rice in Hawaii is white rice. What place in Hawaii doesn't sell plain sticky rice? Then, when I asked to change that side of rice to a different side or maybe plain rice, he said "No you can't do that. It only comes with that rice". I couldn't just pay an extra fee for a different side? What if I was allergic to the dirty rice? This place still wouldn't accommodate me? I guess it's called "dirty rice" because it tastes like garbage? I don't know. Now I have to google the term. Food looks nothing like the pictures. I Was excited to try the shrimp fondue but it smells too fishy. I lost my appetite from the rude/awkward service and the stinky food. It was cringy to ask for any help on suggestions or input from the waiter. Even my mom and I thought the artichoke dip tasted a little funny (and she LOVES artichoke dip).... how do you get hot artichoke dip wrong? I guess it's possible. He did not refill our chips or water once whatsoever. He TOOK THE PLATE AWAY before my dad was even done with his food. He was still eating! Wow. He literally gave less than the minimum of service. My drink (mango lemonade) was supposed to come with a refill (didn't receive that) and even the waters didn't come with any refills. Couldn't even grab the check without the attitude. No small talk whatsoever. I would have happily paid less for better service and extra calories at McDonald's. I usually take foodie pictures and advertise on instagram. But it just wasn't worth the camera space. I wanted to leave the place before the drinks even came out and had intended to just leave after paying for the $3.99 (for one mango lemonade). We recently celebrated a very special occasion at Ruby Tuesday--our daughter and son-in-law's 20th wedding anniversary--and it could not have gone better. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the entire evening was a truly memorable experience for our family. A big part of what made the night so enjoyable was our server, Jenna. She was absolutely outstanding--professional, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire evening. Managing a large party can be challenging, but Jenna handled everything with such grace and efficiency that we were able to simply relax and enjoy each other's company. She made sure every detail was perfect, from our drink orders to special requests, and she did it all with a warm smile and kind demeanor. It was clear she genuinely cared about making our celebration special, and she succeeded in every way. I would like to provide some feedback on my recent visit. Firstly, I must mention that the restroom was quite dimly lit, which made it difficult to navigate. Additionally, there was an unpleasant odor near the bar area that was quite off-putting. While our server, Adam, was friendly and attentive, I couldn't help but notice that the other servers seemed disinterested in their work, displaying a lack of enthusiasm. When my husband ordered a rare steak, it unfortunately arrived well done, contrary to his preference for a pinkish/blue center. Furthermore, his order of fries and rice was served with only rice. However, when we brought these issues to Adam's attention, he promptly addressed and resolved them. Lastly, I had requested an unsweetened tea, but was given a sweetened one instead, which posed a problem as I cannot consume sugar. Cherry was absolutely amazing! After seeing an unfair review from another table, I felt like I had to share my own experience because it was completely different. From the moment we sat down, Cherry was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We never waited long for our drinks or food, and she checked on us multiple times throughout our meal to make sure we had everything we needed. She recommended the ribs and crispy shrimp, you have to try their mango kiawe sauce! She made us feel like more than just another table. We also enjoyed chatting with her about where she's from and hearing about the trip she had just come back from with her family. It was such a genuine conversation and made our dining experience even better. Thank you, Cherry, for working so hard and taking such great care of us. Was excited to go to ruby Tuesdays for the first time and was disappointed. Our waiter was nice but nothing special. He did his job. Our appetizer arrived quickly and we placed our orders for our entree and salad bar. One thing I was unhappy about was that our entrees came out so quickly, I was taking my 2nd bite of salad and our food arrived. There was 3 of us in our party and we had all ordered the salad bar so there was no space on our table for our food. My pasta had already looked dried out before I even got to try it. (Still eating my salad). When I finally did try my pasta, it was dry and cold. It was lacking flavor and could've used more sauce. I was disappointed and probably won't return not to mention it wasn't cheap. $20 for the pasta plus $6 for the salad bar I was rushed into eating. The kitchen or waiter needs to learn how to time the food better. I wanted to like this place :( read more

I usually don't write reviews but this one i had to. 1st time at this location: they messed up my orders and managers/assistant managers were offensive towards me about me making the mistake. 2nd time server made mistake about our drink orders and charged us more than he said and manager took care of it ( gave me my difference in gift card)???? 3rd time (today) they have charged more than they said on my entree and didnt say anything. After i asked to talk to the manager, he said sorry its our new menu price( the price wasnt on the menu) he was very offensive and rude. So its not worth the time and the money to go to this place. I gave it try for few times and still failed me with their bad customer service and managerial staff!!!!!!!!!!! I rather go to different chain restaurant if i have to!!!!! read more

I had brunch with a cousin, and I was astonished to hear him endorse Ruby Tuesday. I was happily surprised to see that it was open for breakfast despite not knowing it existed because the menu featured regional foods. This place offered indoor and outdoor dining options. Our server was friendly and accommodating, however, he was juggling several tables that morning. I choose the loco moco, which included plenty of steamed white rice, a medium-rare beef patty, an over-easy egg, and a thick brown sauce. Both the protein and the carbohydrates were tasty and full. Parking is plentiful, but it's farther from the city center, so it's less crowded with tourists. Comparable to other sit-down restaurants in price. read more

I decided to come here on my lunch break. It was not that busy and I chose to be seated outside, which was nice. I had the salad bar which was good, and then I ordered a pretzel bacon cheese burger. It could have been better, it was a bit overcooked and dry but overall alright. The service was good, my waitress was very attentive and my water was never less than half empty, which I rate my service on. This would not be my first choice for lunch, but I would come back and maybe give their breakfast a try. read more

There was no long discussion no attitude and no sass from anyone. It was three adults that came to an understanding. In the restaurant business, there's something called table touching and that's when the general manager pays a table a visit to see how everything is going or how everything went. What we assume was a table touching was actually an interrogation of who we were ? why are we taking pictures ? etc. In my 21 years living on this island, I've never had anybody come out and behave this way, especially not a general manager , because of a paranoid waitress As embarrassed as I was in front of my husband, I spoke to the general manager inside away from my table and ask them does he approach every single yelper? And he never introduced himself. He just started asking questions the body language everything was off. Out of professionalism and courtesy when he approached our table, we both stood on our feet and greeted him with a smile and extended our hands We will never return to this restaurant Because we felt very unwelcomed by the general manager and the waitress older woman in her 50s or 60s. Well, we did enjoy with seeing all the local people eating there. It's been a while since I've eaten any anywhere that didn't have tourist everywhere. We got as far as the coffee and the complementary corn muffin And please see below as we were recording the front of the restaurant when the waitressed step outside and we turned the camera off. She was about 10 feet away. Maybe next time we won't come dressed as tourist lol. I apologize if I violated any laws, but I thought that as long as we were in public and you can, use your camera. There is no expectation of privacy in a public restaurant, but I guess they have different rules I would be happy to respect if I had known about them in advance. I just wanted to promote the restaurant with a five star review nothing more nothing less Somebody made a big deal out of nothing and the restaurant lost the table today And we're a decent couple we don't look for trouble with nobody

They were labeled - and the cashier pointed out each item. I selected cucumber kimchi and choi sum. One of the fishes of the day was Ono. I chose it because it's not very common. I took the pan-fried preparation that came with Garlic ponzu butter dipping sauce... yum! I even poured that sauce on my rice! I look forward to returning!

I know it's a little on the cheaper side for plate lunches but I feel like that should hinder on the portion size. The service was fast and friendly and the store itself is a tiny spot good for grab and go breakfast and lunches. I might end up giving them another shot but we shall see.
