First time here!!! Now that it's December I have been trying to check out holiday bars and holiday cocktails. Valor was up first on the list! We sat ourself on a high table and was greeted by our bartender who was so sweet. She recommended the top 3 holiday drinks to us, which we tried. We really liked the 1) Jack Frost, 2) Abuelita's Hot Cocoa, and 3) Grinch Punch. Our cocktails were delicious and I liked the chill atmosphere and vibe this place had to it since we came once the mall was closed. This bar only served alcohol so I heard it was BYOF = bring your own food to enjoy while you drink, which is pretty cool! I definitely would come again! read more

It makes complete sense, there's eateries all around and plenty of seating area. The sound carries just fine from the live entertainment nearby. And there's at least three big screens on with different sporting events to watch. We came at a time that was medium busy, not too crowded and we tried two of their Signature drinks. Talk about fast and friendly service with a smile! His Espresso and the Lychee Luxe were both perfect on a hot Friday afternoon. The decor is crisp and clean. The atmosphere is bright and lively. I highly recommend coming here for great vibes, amazing drinks and wonderful service from Jamie and the staff. Located in Downtown Pearl Ridge at the Wai Makai Food Court, it's a convenient and great place to gather. Weekend afternoons and nights can get fairly busy, but we came on a Sunday mid-morning and got to relax and watch the game. Got to try their Holiday Cocktail menu which was reasonably priced and picture worthy. It's a smaller area but the decorations were cute and festive. They have great Happy Hour (4-6pm daily) deals and allow you to bring food from outside and enjoy it with your drink. read more

Such an amazing place! Due to the unfortunate events that caused valor to stop live music, I hope they can bring it back, it was great to have a place to drink, dance and listen to some great bands and it was central for those who live on the west side of the island. Tons of parking, only cause valor is located in the mall, exactly where the food court is. Valor is quite spacious and the bartenders are cool, the drinks are not as pricey compared going to Waikiki to watch live music. I would only go back if they bring back live music, but will support them as a pretty great establishment. read more

If you're looking for a place with good cocktails, an interesting vibe, look no further than VALOR!!! Located upstairs in the Pearlridge mall in the food court by the theaters. My friends and I decided to have a drink in the afternoon. We were lucky enough to come during 4-6 when they have pau hana specials. $3 off cocktails!!! Originally, we came for one drink and because our first drink was good we decided to stay and try a few more. We started with the classic espresso martini, which was strong but good cocktail. We then decided to switch the flavor palate to something more sweet and this is where we really enjoyed our drinks. My friends decided to try the Mango Margarita which had a li hing mui rim and I decided to try the Sweet Like Celina. If your looking for a not too sweet drink, then the Mango Margarita is the drink to get, but if your looking for a strawberry based sweet but strong drink, then Sweet Like Celina is the drink for you. The only thing they are missing is the food, hence 4 stars vs 5. They do have a small charcuterie board on the menu or I think you can get food from the near by food court eateries and bring it over to the bar. Literally as we decided to grab a drink with about 45 minutes to our movie time which is quite a bit yet not enough to explore too far or for any seating at a restaurant this location does made it really convenient to a quick sip. I remember seeing some holiday sips though there wasn't any menu that display the new sips even as we looked over via QR code which also seems like there was just one bartender that was working it all and with a semi full bar top no one approached us or even gave us a look/hello was a bit sad. I approached the bar area still nothing there was another staff though not quite sure what role she had both was understandably busy but as I walked around the bar area and found the holiday menu there looked it over and even as the bartender had noticed me still not a single word. Eventually I got my order in and immediately cashed out versus keeping a tab I though to do so as getting their attention again would make us late for our movies and got of course got drinks from their menu though they made one of the wrong drink we nevertheless enjoyed them. I got "Deck the Ball" and bestie wanted the Winter Wonderland but got the "Merry Mistle Brew" it was wonderfully powerful but so good my drink came in a glass ornament and hers a bougie brew with sprinkles as we chat and sip it was time before we know it and left for our movies. If someone told me that they put a bar next to the movie theaters, I wouldn't believe them! It's a nice area to grab a drink with a friend or have a drink before seeing the movie. I'm not sure if you're able to get a drink and get food from the food court. My friend told me that Fridays and Saturdays, the food court turns into a club. That's very interesting to hear. But anyways, I selected a Mai Tai. I know it's very touristy, but hey, I haven't been home in a couple of years so I think it's okay. haha! The bartender had a heavy hand OR I haven't had a Mai Tai in a while and my tolerance has declined at an embarrasing level. I had a couple of sips and I immediately felt warm. My friend ordered a Japanese high ball type of drink and he liked it a lot! He also ordered the mule on the menu and switched the vodka to the Japanese whiskey. This place is a total vibe! Perfect for a holiday hangout with friends. Their holiday drinks were not only adorable but tasted amazing. My friends and are definitely coming back for more. I had to try a few festive sips of their limited time holiday drink specials, and they were all soooooo goooood! It's a bit weird being in a mall, but the atmosphere is super cool. Great spot to grab a drink or catch a game. The drink menu is huge, so there's something for everyone. They don't serve food, but you can always buy food from the Food Court and eat in, which is awesome! The night my friends and I met up, they did a little intermission between 8pm - 9pm since they closed during the hour. My husband and I took our friend here while we waited to be called for our table at GEN. We were just going to walk around the mall but found this bar inside and decided to grab a drink. The bar looks really new and it's very large with seats at the bar itself and large bar tables around the bar as well. I ordered the chunky monkey cocktail and it was SOOOO yummy! I highly highly recommend it. I could have drank 10 of them but I'm pretty sure they are super strong lol. Every Monday they have 50% off for all military which I love as im a part of a military household myself. They also have happy hour every day from 4-6pm. The staff is super nice and efficient. They were patient with me when I couldn't decide what I wanted initially. Nothing but smiles! The manager also rounded all the groups and made sure we were all okay and had what we needed! Valor is a great bar to visit especially if you need to drop off your husband or SO somewhere while you continue shopping. Valor is located in the food court at Pearlridge Mall and it is an open concept with bar seating and cocktail tables. It is upscale and the drinks are great! I enjoyed the standard Espresso Martini and it was fantastic! Much better than the $22 cocktails in Waikiki with watered down liquor. Food wise, although I wish they had small bites available, it seems like you're able to bring food to their area, as long as you clear it with the bartenders. Next time I'll try their wine with the charcuterie bites! Word of advice, on Saturdays they clear out for their band night which I'm sure is a fun experience. However, we left before the craziness started. I love that Valor has aided in the revitalization of Pearlridge Mall! read more

Just go up the escalator (near Hallmark) to the Subway, Sbarro, and Rainbow Drive-In area. Jamie was our efficient, friendly, and helpful server. My friend asked Jamie what Valor's specialty is... Espresso Martini... This was confirmed by my friend's niece, who saw it on Instagram... Bam! My friend got the "Sweet Like Celina" with a fresh strawberry garnish. It had a vodka base and homemade strawberry puree. She liked it. I got a refreshing Coke - because "it's the Real Thing"! Hee hee! We enjoyed the clean, open bar with many large screens to view sports, WSOP, and other channels. This is a very convenient location with restrooms in the far corner of the Food Court. I tried their two cocktails.. sweet like celina and purple bliss. Celina must have been one really sweet lady cause dannng, the drink was really sweet and made me feel the jitters. Purple Bliss was much better and I liked the flavor more, but they add this giant block of ice that's the same height as the cup, so you probably get one small shot glass worth of drink in that. LOL but I guess that's how most bars make money, right!? read more

It is hard to really rate a "bar" when they don't serve food but this deserved my Yelp review because rarely does a place make me 5 custom drinks that are soooooooo good!!!! So this bar is set up on the side area of the Pearlridge food court. Located literally next to the Subway and the escalators to go down to the Hallmark floor of the mall. SUPER casual. This is not a fancy date night type of vibe. Only seats are the high bar chairs until the mall closes, then people can sit in the food court area. This is not a place to have a gathering of like 10 friends as, again, you sit at the high top bar. So more of a pop in, have a great cocktail..or two.. and your out. Now, you CAN go get food from the food court vendors and eat it at the bar. We had Yummy Korean BBQ but there is a pizza place and other things up there. If I had to recommend a drink, it would be to get the expresso flight. ALL 3 of the drinks are full sized and are delicious. Plenty of free parking of course at Pearlridge. read more

Finally, a chill bar area on this side of the island! It's family-friendly, conveniently located by the food court and movie theatre, and allows outside food to be brought to the bar top. My husband and I have been to Valor almost weekly since their soft opening. Chris meticulously creates an elevated bar experience with his passion, the overall curation of the drinks, the finished look with the garnishes, and the taste/smell of the drinks. Everytime we've been here, the bartenders and owners have been attentive and helped guided us through the menu. And, they check in to see if we've liked their recommendations. I didn't think I'd like the Staycation, but it's one of my faves so far. The raspberry isn't too tart and it's a unique twist to a typical lava flow. You can pull up to any bar and order a drink, but can you honestly say that you got an elevated bar experience? Hands down, it's the attention to detail that stands out for me with Valor. Quite a bit of bar seats, many families there even with young children and babies. The Staycation cocktail wasn't overly sweet and a good choice for those who don't want an alcohol forward drink. Recommend to mix the house made raspberry and mint purée well with the rest of the drink when you first get it, instead of mixing as you drink. The straw was a bit short for the tall glass. The Japanese Paloma was easy to drink and refreshing. Did not enjoy the house old fashion with Old Pali Whiskey. The cocktail was disjointed and tasted a bit watery. Okay I'm all in on this local Aiea bar. It's been three month since I was here for the soft opening and they have made their mark in the area. There's really no comparison to any of the other Mid Island spots. Opening at noon they go into the late night hours with local music (I've not been here for it) and because you can either order food from the food courts venders in the Mall and bring it in or apparently stop anywhere and bring that in it makes it just a great place to meet up with friends. This might be the new Mai Tai's for central Oahu. Located in the food court of Pearlridge right next to the movie theater. No more driving into town for some delicious drinks and chill vibes. Hubby and I came here for the first time for some day drinks, and we can't wait to come back again another time for live music. The espresso martini flight hit the spot. Tavita was awesome and very accommodating as he served us our drink starting with their smoked valor old fashioned drink heat stamped with a 'V' on our ice cube and served on their bourbon. It was football Sunday and we thought we'd give it a try! It was fun and lovely as they have 4 flat screens on the top of their bar which i think was smart. Bringing your own food in was another smart idea as you'd order the drinks to compliment your food. Tavita and his other bartender served us a sample of tequila de agave. It was staring at us and we wanted to sample how it'd be. It was smooth but 1 shot for $37 was out of our range. Other than that, they gave us another sampler of a stronger proof. Forget all the redic social hype. This new cocktail bar is NOT ready to welcome hoards of guests. But... there is a silver lining. First, this is a very soft opening. 1. The construction isn't completed. Not all the equipment is installed. The well isn't setup. The bar isn't really ready for service. 2. The bartender, even with experience from a previous job, is having to look at his phone to make "signature" drinks. It results in very long delays. 3. Food, for lack of a better word, SUCKS!!! BYOF from any food court vendor (Subway, Cinnamabon, Panda Express, Yummy's Korean, and some obscure Vietnamese, pizza, or poke place. Are you kidding??? Seriously, you'd be better off buying a movie ticket and getting yourself some popcorn. So why four stars? There is serious potential here. Go now if you wanna experience their "signature" drinks made with precise measurements. The bartender must follow the exact recipe. Selection of straight pours of real drinks decent. Don Julio1942 tequila. Blanton's, amongst others. Prices are low. 250 percent retail. Signature drinks $12-$14. Wait a month, they should have the wrinkles ironed out. Came in on a Monday night with friends and I believe Chris helped us. He was very personable and quick with the drinks. He did explain what the bar would be offering on the weekends as far as live music and food options for late night since they don't have a kitchen. It sounds like it'll be pretty awesome once they're fully open and set up. As far as the cocktails, we tried 6 between us and they were all great and well priced ($12-$14). The bar area is clean & offers a lot of seating with a few TVs which is great for anyone needing a break from shopping. I'll definitely be back to see the progress. New bar located on the movie theater side of Pearlridge- my friends and I were inclined to pay a visit to try their espresso martinis, and it did not fall short of my expectations. The espresso in the martini is extracted from an espresso machine too, which makes everything all the better :) I love that this bar is located right in the food court, you're able to bring your food over while you drink!
