However, they told me they don't take reservations and to just walk in. Well, we got there and had to wait 58 minutes before we got seated. Pro tip: just have them put you down on the list. Don't listen about not taking reservations for large parties. I found out after that a group of 8 got reservations for 6:30 so I was quite unhappy about that. It didn't help that there was a table with 3 people who were there since 3pm (it was already 7:58 at this point) who were still occupying the tables and the staff couldn't make them leave. They eventually moved them to another smaller table, but they could have done that sooner, just saying. Not the restaurant's complete fault, people can be extremely inconsiderate but there maybe should be a system for dealing with these types of situations. All they had were empty bottles, they were not ordering anything. Anyway, we finally got seated, and as expected, the food didn't disappoint. We got the Tasty Chicken (always a must), boneless kalbi (super tender and flavorful), loco moco (one of the best on the island) and oxtail soup (theirs is pretty solid). We also got pumpkin crunch, strawberry crunch, and cream cheese brownie. Everything was amazing as usual and they all said it was the best food they had on-island during their trip. The food was worth the wait, but, that wait could've truly been avoided. It's not somewhere you take a first date unless you are bowling because it is super loud. It is located in an out of the way, not really scenic spot. Parking can be a bear. But it remains to be one of those tried and true "local" spots that never fail to please. *Rating is solely for the food and reliability of the excellent flavors and quality of the food

The bar keeper doubled as our waitress. She was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Our group ordered: -kim chee Kalbi quesadilla - 5/5 -loco moco - 4/5 -Country fried pork chops - 3/5 -breakroom special -2/5 The quesadillas were amazing and would be the dish we'd come back for. Like some reviews on Yelp have noticed, they were out of items like shrimp and in our case, no mashed potatoes. The rice didn't go well with the cheese+gravy+chicken. In hindsight, we should have asked for fries to be used instead of rice. The pork chops were lacking in flavor and didn't match the hype of sous vide pork chops. They've updated the menu recently so maybe we'll give them a try again.

Second and last time coming to this location. We overlooked our first visit when my wife was done…read moreeating and I still hadn't gotten my food yet. It was the weekend and busy. But our second time was a mellow Wednesday for lunch and while the timing was better (still not synced), the food was either meh or completely shameful. Yes, shameful! Wife got the Caesar salad with char siu chicken katsu. The chicken was ono but the salad was lazy. Basic greens with a low-quality bottled sauce squeezed on top. No wonder it came out five minutes before mine. I got the fish tacos with tots (extra $2), and this dish was the most egregious rip off I've ever seen in a restaurant. No wonder the server dropped it and ran. For $18, I got three street taco-sized flour tortillas, goopy mayo-laden "slaw", and pico with a teeny tiny piece of fish on top. See the pics! Smaller than my thumb. Barely two tater tots in size. And because it was plopped into mayo slaw, it was soggy on arrival. The fish was also suspiciously fishy tasting. I debated eating it. I ended up making one taco with all the fish and a potato taco with some tots before finally giving up. I know things are tough for restaurants right now. But this was ridiculous. I paid and left and called it a lesson learned. I'll likely stick to the Pucks Alley location from now on. Still some pride in what they serve there.
