First time here!!! Now that it's December I have been trying to check out holiday bars and holiday…read morecocktails. Valor was up first on the list! We sat ourself on a high table and was greeted by our bartender who was so sweet. She recommended the top 3 holiday drinks to us, which we tried. We really liked the 1) Jack Frost, 2) Abuelita's Hot Cocoa, and 3) Grinch Punch. Our cocktails were delicious and I liked the chill atmosphere and vibe this place had to it since we came once the mall was closed. This bar only served alcohol so I heard it was BYOF = bring your own food to enjoy while you drink, which is pretty cool! I definitely would come again!

And there's at least three big screens on with different sporting events to watch. We came at a time that was medium busy, not too crowded and we tried two of their Signature drinks. Talk about fast and friendly service with a smile! His Espresso and the Lychee Luxe were both perfect on a hot Friday afternoon. The decor is crisp and clean. The atmosphere is bright and lively. There's tables for large groups and lots of bar counter for pairs. It's not too noisy either. Fun and relaxing, glad we came to try it :)

I love coming here with friends for a drink and pupus. On our most recent visit they were hosting…read moresingles karaoke! I also noticed that they have trivia on some nights too. It is a fun atmosphere with a full menu. The drinks are always good and with the QR code ordering system we were able to order quickly and drinks and food were quick too. I will keep coming here again and again.

As for the food, it is a hit & miss. Some of our party liked their salad w/fried Char Siu chicken, onion rings and tots were also good appetizer food to munch on. Others had the Kalua Pig burger which was real salty. I had their Loco Moco with their dark gravy, which also was a bit too salty. I also chose to have the burger cooked medium well, which was a bit too tough to chew. I should have chosen medium. (An update to my previous post - I upgraded this review to 4 stars, from previous 3. As we left the place, the nice waitress stopped my friend who had the Kalua burger & gave her a new Kalua as the chef threw out the previous batch & made a new one. She loved it. Now who does that in today's world, listened to the customer & make a new batch & even sought out the person to make it right. This is a place to definitely come back to. Awesome Beer Lab!!!) The drinks were their pluses. And their service was excellent. Our waitress was very nice & very attentive. I did like their ordering system thru Toast where you scan a barcode & order & pay before the food gets to you. You can pay individually or as a group. Keep in mind the group tip is set at 20%, but the waitress deserved it.

I think the idea is awesome, just terrible execution with no commitment to the theme. A nostalgia fueled watering hole with no frills drinks menu and a DJ. Party at the old Chili's restaurant at Pearl Ridge. You'll find it near the Long's and across from Blue Tropix bar. Plenty of parking. Staff are friendly. The bar has the restaurant side with tables set up if you want to grab drinks and hang out. The bar side of the restaurant has a dance floor and the DJ. When we first got there it was like an awkward middle school dance with nobody on the dance floor. By the time we left, there was a handful of young adults dancing and singing along to Apple Bottom Jeans and California Girls by Katy Perry. The drinks are decent, tho it's a lot of environmental waste because it's all served in single use plastics and take out cups. Each drink has something "special" and plastic. A blinking light ice cube. A butterfly hair clip. A plastic stir straw with a star on it. Shots served on mini beer pong red plastic cups. The music was all from the year 2000+. My personal theory is that 90% of music sucked after we slipped past Y2K. We played a trivia game, playing "guess the year this song came out" and 95% was later than 2000. Backstreet Boys, Missy Eliot, Katie Perry, Britney. Like going to a teenage girls slumber party circa 2008. No nineties hip hop, pop, grunge etc. They should have done their research. The decor was mostly 80's movie posters. Gremlins, children of the corn, back to the future, ET. There were some VHS cassettes and tapes scattered around and a few neon lights. The music was a decade too late and the decor a decade too early. Food menu was lunchables, uncrustables (saucer shaped PB&J sandwiches in more plastic), Slim Jim's to snap into and pringles. Don't go if you're hungry or actually lived during the 90's.

So I ordered one. It came and I took a sip and it tasted...gross. Off. Burned a little. So I asked a friend to drink it. Full of vodka. They served me alcohol. She was kind when I brought it up and took it off the bill and brought me a free bottle of water. Then promptly avoided all eye contact for the rest of the night. Inside was freezing. Besides decor and music, it wasn't nearly as fun as we expected. No food besides bar nuts. It would be a game changer if they had at least a couple items of food. Shoot, they could have made a fortune serving hot pockets! Would never come back. Absolutely a one and done.
