The service was excellent. Friendly and helpful. Clean and inviting interior. Good and comfortable air-conditioning . I ordered a two choice plate. Saint Louis spareribs and beef brisket. Of the two I prefer the taste of the ribs. Four stars for the ribs and three and a half for the brisket. For sides I ordered the coleslaw and corn. The coleslaw was passable for my palette. The corn was a surprise. They gave two coblets. Other places give one . Portions were reasonable. Enjoy

On our weekly outing I told my brother and husband let's try ribs for lunch. Located in the moanalua shopping ctr area we went. I had the rib plate comes with Cole slaw and 1 choice side. My brother had the same thing with me. My husband had combo plate ribs snd brisket. The ribs were tender came off the bones when pulling it off. The beans were alittle salty to me. Could have been alittle more sweeter. But That's my opinion. My husband said hes plate was good. Try them if your by the airport area.

This place has been around forever. We always pass it, but have never ate here. We decided to try it out today as we were by the Moanalua Shopping Center. The first thing I have to say is that the workers are super nice and friendly, especially the man cashiering in the front. He kept asking us if we needed anything. He offered more bbq sauce and gave us wet wipes. I have to give 5 stars for the service. The food was ok. I got the single item bbq plate $20. I got the ribs with baked beans and corn. My husband got the smokehouse salad $16. He got the smoked turkey with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, onions, shredded cheese, topped with bbq and ranch dressing. My ribs were dry and were far from falling off the bone. We got both the original and sweet bbq sauces. I liked the sweet better. It had a hint of spiciness to it. The baked beans had a nice flavor, but my two corn on the cobs were the best. They were super buttery and sweet. We also got a sweet tea $3.50 that came with free refills. It was super sweet. Just dilute it with water and it was good.

It's my first time eating from this location for dinner after work and I enjoyed the Ribs, and the coleslaw. The bf enjoyed everything else, I'm a picky eater therefore I only had the ribs and coleslaw.

Yummy Texas BBQ! I got the brisket with mac 'n cheese and slaw. The brisket was a little dry so I definitely would eat it with the bbq sauce. The mac 'n cheese was ok, and the slaw was good. Service was great and the shop was cute. They have some tables available.

Rating 3/5 because I've been here before and I know they can do better.... but my last visit left me very disappointed. We got two plates. The only items that were hot was the Baked Beans and the Corn. The meat and the mac & cheese were room temperature... that ruined the experience for me. Perhaps we got the leftover from the lunch rush but it tasted like the food was left on the counter and not even placed on top warmers. This caused the ribs and brisket to be very dry... Overall, I'm willing to give this place another try. Perhaps it was just an off day for them. The brisket, if hot, I could imagine would be very good.

Friendly service but just average bbq. I got the one choice plate with brisket and rice and tater salad for my sides. The brisket was pretty dry and didn't have much flavor without the bbq sauce. The tater salad was really good though and had a lot of dill flavor. My coworker got a two choice plate and got double brisket but only got one more piece of brisket than the single choice plate. Some other coworkers got the mac and cheese for their side and said it was just ok. Overall an ok spot for lunch, service was quick and welcoming, but nothing really special especially for the price.

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... We tried to go to the new Pepper Lunch at Moanalua Shopping Center, but the line was long. I had been to the Las Vegas location with my Twinsie, Joyce W. of Arizona... and i have happy memories of Pepper Lunch... Anyway... TEX 808 BBQ & Brews was along the strip of businesses. There was no line and several tables were available. It was relatively clean, bright and nicely air-conditioned. Service was alright. We heard the cashier offer BBQ sauce to other customers, "spicy, mild, or sweet). We weren't offered any sauce. I was looking around for a condiment area, but only found salt and pepper shakers. My friend asked for sauce and was offered spicy or mild. All three of us got the mild sauce which was a bit tangy. When we heard that there was a sweet sauce, my friend stood up again to ask for the sweet sauce and only got one container. Later, my friend asked for hand wipes. The staff pointed to a can of wipes. I ordered the Double meat plate which comes with two sides. I chose brisket and ribs... and corn and slaw. The sauce made the tender meats flavorful. The slaw could use more seasoning. The corn was great! Overall, it was a filling and pleasant experience. We chatted for a while before the staff started to put chairs on the tables at 7pm. This restaurant is supposed to close at 8pm. We're appreciative of the free shared parking!

This experience was pretty darn great! The greeting at the door was pleasant and welcoming. The employees were very friendly and happy to explain each item they offered. It was a smooth order and we enjoyed the tasty barbecue! Thank you !

A solid 3 star star location. It's good. The staff is usually very helpful, the facility is clean, and the food is consistently flavorful. I recommend it as a lunch spot. Not a date location and not fine dining but the brisket is still decent.

Turkey pesto Melt Double Plate Pulled Pork Brisket Mac

Oooo brah! To start off, the customer service is excellent. The lady at the front counter explained the menu in full detail and was very helpful. But to cut to the chase, the reason I am giving this place 2.5 stars nah sike this getting 1 star the flavor and the pricing.Holy crap, I felt like I got robbed at the front counter. The portion of food I received is absolutely not worth the $60 price tag for some bland-ass food. The only redeeming part was the Turkey Pesto Melt. The flavor on that was on point, and it was perfectly toasted. But how in the HELL does a sandwich have more flavor than the expensive plate?First off, how do you mess up the brisket? It has zero flavor, and it is overcooked and dry. It's drier than an overcooked turkey on Thanksgiving. As for the pulled pork, mac & cheese, and coleslaw? It's not just bad it's damn near terrible. If you want to know what school cafeteria food tastes like, come here. I swear the mac, coleslaw, and pork taste exactly like school food. To say I am very, very, very, very dissatisfied is an understatement. Honestly, chewing through this food completely ruined my day. Also the sweet tea GODDAUMMM First sip though I was gonna get heart disease due to how sweet it is

Their parking lot also extends further so it becomes a pretty decent size and we had no trouble finding a spot. The banchans were good! One of the sides was poke, which we've never seen at a Korean restaurant before. It was unexpected, but so fresh and delicious. We ordered the cold noodles, spicy pork bulgogi, and seafood pancake. Everything was really good, and we'd honestly rank those dishes above most of the Korean restaurants we've been to. The seafood pancake was packed with seafood flavor, and they definitely didn't skimp on the squid. The spicy pork bulgogi came with a bowl of rice and had the right amount of spicy. The cold noodles totally hit the spot and had just the right amount of toppings in every bite. I was left very satisfied and we even had leftovers of the pork and pancake to take home. Service was friendly, and everything arrived in a timely manner. We'll definitely be back soon to try the AYCE and the soups!

I came here for lunch. I noticed this place changed owners awhile ago. Under the new name,…read moreMoobongri, they offer Ala carte menu items as well as an AYCE menu. I like that they open at 10am and that they serve delicious banchan. I came in one weekday and was seated at one of the regular tables. I guess they assumed I wasn't going to get the AYCE, even though it's pretty affordable for weekday lunch (like $28). Id like to come back to try the ayce sometime. I decided on the cold noodle and kalbi combo for $24. The cold noodles by themselves are only $14, so I thought there would be at least a couple pieces of kalbi in the combo. Nope. Apparently one piece of kalbi is $10. It was served hot, but it was served on a hot plate with onions and the plate itself wasn't hot. Why serve it on a hot plate? Very confusing. The cold noodles were refreshing, but you can get pretty good cold noodles at any Korean restaurant I think. I was a little disappointed in the quantity of food for the combo. Or I wish they had an actual lunch special, maybe I should have just got the ayce at this point right? But I wanted the cold noodles.... Oh well. It doesn't seem like they changed the interior all that much. It was pretty nice inside to begin with and there is a big parking lot. The workers come by when you ring the table side bell. Lol, otherwise they kind of just drop off the food and leave you alone. I was surprised there were like 3 other couples eating from the Ala carte menu at 10:30. I would possibly come back to try their other soups, but I wouldn't get suckered into getting the combos.
