The service was excellent. Friendly and helpful. Clean and inviting interior. Good and comfortable air-conditioning . I ordered a two choice plate. Saint Louis spareribs and beef brisket. Of the two I prefer the taste of the ribs. Four stars for the ribs and three and a half for the brisket. For sides I ordered the coleslaw and corn. The coleslaw was passable for my palette. The corn was a surprise. They gave two coblets. Other places give one . Portions were reasonable. Enjoy

On our weekly outing I told my brother and husband let's try ribs for lunch. Located in the moanalua shopping ctr area we went. I had the rib plate comes with Cole slaw and 1 choice side. My brother had the same thing with me. My husband had combo plate ribs snd brisket. The ribs were tender came off the bones when pulling it off. The beans were alittle salty to me. Could have been alittle more sweeter. But That's my opinion. My husband said hes plate was good. Try them if your by the airport area.

This place has been around forever. We always pass it, but have never ate here. We decided to try it out today as we were by the Moanalua Shopping Center. The first thing I have to say is that the workers are super nice and friendly, especially the man cashiering in the front. He kept asking us if we needed anything. He offered more bbq sauce and gave us wet wipes. I have to give 5 stars for the service. The food was ok. I got the single item bbq plate $20. I got the ribs with baked beans and corn. My husband got the smokehouse salad $16. He got the smoked turkey with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, onions, shredded cheese, topped with bbq and ranch dressing. My ribs were dry and were far from falling off the bone. We got both the original and sweet bbq sauces. I liked the sweet better. It had a hint of spiciness to it. The baked beans had a nice flavor, but my two corn on the cobs were the best. They were super buttery and sweet. We also got a sweet tea $3.50 that came with free refills. It was super sweet. Just dilute it with water and it was good.

It's my first time eating from this location for dinner after work and I enjoyed the Ribs, and the coleslaw. The bf enjoyed everything else, I'm a picky eater therefore I only had the ribs and coleslaw.

Yummy Texas BBQ! I got the brisket with mac 'n cheese and slaw. The brisket was a little dry so I definitely would eat it with the bbq sauce. The mac 'n cheese was ok, and the slaw was good. Service was great and the shop was cute. They have some tables available.

Rating 3/5 because I've been here before and I know they can do better.... but my last visit left me very disappointed. We got two plates. The only items that were hot was the Baked Beans and the Corn. The meat and the mac & cheese were room temperature... that ruined the experience for me. Perhaps we got the leftover from the lunch rush but it tasted like the food was left on the counter and not even placed on top warmers. This caused the ribs and brisket to be very dry... Overall, I'm willing to give this place another try. Perhaps it was just an off day for them. The brisket, if hot, I could imagine would be very good.

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... We tried to go to the new Pepper Lunch at Moanalua Shopping Center, but the line was long. I had been to the Las Vegas location with my Twinsie, Joyce W. of Arizona... and i have happy memories of Pepper Lunch... Anyway... TEX 808 BBQ & Brews was along the strip of businesses. There was no line and several tables were available. It was relatively clean, bright and nicely air-conditioned. Service was alright. We heard the cashier offer BBQ sauce to other customers, "spicy, mild, or sweet). We weren't offered any sauce. I was looking around for a condiment area, but only found salt and pepper shakers. My friend asked for sauce and was offered spicy or mild. All three of us got the mild sauce which was a bit tangy. When we heard that there was a sweet sauce, my friend stood up again to ask for the sweet sauce and only got one container. Later, my friend asked for hand wipes. The staff pointed to a can of wipes. I ordered the Double meat plate which comes with two sides. I chose brisket and ribs... and corn and slaw. The sauce made the tender meats flavorful. The slaw could use more seasoning. The corn was great! Overall, it was a filling and pleasant experience. We chatted for a while before the staff started to put chairs on the tables at 7pm. This restaurant is supposed to close at 8pm. We're appreciative of the free shared parking!

Friendly service but just average bbq. I got the one choice plate with brisket and rice and tater salad for my sides. The brisket was pretty dry and didn't have much flavor without the bbq sauce. The tater salad was really good though and had a lot of dill flavor. My coworker got a two choice plate and got double brisket but only got one more piece of brisket than the single choice plate. Some other coworkers got the mac and cheese for their side and said it was just ok. Overall an ok spot for lunch, service was quick and welcoming, but nothing really special especially for the price.

This experience was pretty darn great! The greeting at the door was pleasant and welcoming. The employees were very friendly and happy to explain each item they offered. It was a smooth order and we enjoyed the tasty barbecue! Thank you !

A solid 3 star star location. It's good. The staff is usually very helpful, the facility is clean, and the food is consistently flavorful. I recommend it as a lunch spot. Not a date location and not fine dining but the brisket is still decent.

So yummy!!! Meat was so tender and flavorful. Mac n cheese was also really good. The standout part was for sure the service though. The staff was sooooo nice and checked in a lot! Even gave us a free sample. Will be coming back with more friends :)

My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

Food was okay but the view and ambience were nice, especially at Christmas at Night! It's a huge restaurant with seating for parties with a lot of free parking shared with the golfers at the golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating. The last time, my friends weren't too impressed, but we did try variety of dishes from pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. They have some specials from time to time. So sad that tomorrow is their last day of business according to my friend. Sad to see many restaurants are closing soon.

Happy Hour in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. We were nearby and decided to give Shark's Den Bar and Grill a try. It's quite spacious, clean, and pleasantly decorated (with many bunnies)! Located in the Airport Honolulu Hotel, customers get 4 hours of validated parking! Service was very friendly and welcoming! We were allowed to sit anywhere, so we were near to the pool, but could still feel some air-conditioning. We should have stayed away from the open-air side of the restaurant to possibly avoid the flies. We enjoyed being served by Rosie, the robot! Since we were there during Happy Hour (between 2pm and 5pm), we shared one of each item: a flatbread pizza (truffle and Hamakua mushroom), hamburger (shortrib and chuck blend) with fries, and a Trio of Tacos (chicken, pork, and braised short ribs). I liked the fries and the flatbread pizza the most. The breakfast buffet looks interesting. We should return for it some day...

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE/STALE FOOD/DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS VETERANS…read more On 7/30/2026, I ate at Shark's Den Bar & Grill because my flight was delayed and, by the time I checked into the Airport Honolulu Hotel, it was already close to 8:00 p.m. I was scheduled for surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center the next morning and had been instructed to stop eating at 9:00 p.m. so I didn't have time to look for another restaurant. As advertised by the business, the restaurant is "located in the Honolulu Airport Hotel." Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. After being seated, a couple who arrived after me were greeted and had their orders taken before anyone acknowledged me. It wasn't a great first impression. I ordered the loco moco and requested the eggs to be cooked over easy. The server then asked how I wanted my hamburger patty cooked, which caught me off guard. I've ordered loco moco many times over the years and had never been asked that before. Seeing my confusion, the server suggested having the burger cooked medium then I agreed. When my meal arrived it was around 8:30 p.m. and the eggs were cooked medium instead of over easy. The bigger issue, however, was the rice. The texture was very inconsistent...some bites were stale and crunchy, others were chewy, and some grains even stuck to my teeth. It gave the impression that the rice wasn't freshly prepared. Given the restaurant's convenient location for airport travelers, I was hoping for a quick, satisfying meal before my surgery. Unfortunately, the questionable service and disappointing food quality made for a less-than-ideal dining experience. I hope they can improve both their service and consistency in the kitchen. This restaurant also advertises having "live music", but on the Thursday night I was there they had karaoke. Restaurants should not advertise karaoke as "live music" because the terms describe two entirely different customer experiences. Update (7/31/2026): After posting this review, the server, Rutilio A., sent a "compliment" to me, here on Yelp, stating: "Questionable service??? (3 laughing emojis) bless your little heart. Please note that unless you are ordering loco moco out of a truck most RESTAURANT that don't serve frozen patties will give you the option on how you would like it cooked. Can't wait to see your review of your surgery. (Thumbs up emoji)" Rutilio's comment to me actually reinforces why I described the service as "questionable." Customer service doesn't end when the check is paid...it also includes how a business and its employees respond to customer feedback. Rather than addressing my concerns about the flawed rice or how customers who arrived after me were greeted and had their orders taken before me, he chose to mock me with laughing emojis, a condescending "bless your little heart," and a sarcastic comment about my surgery. That isn't the response most customers would expect from someone representing a restaurant. His comment became additional evidence supporting my original observation and demonstrated the same lack of professionalism and customer care that led me to describe the service as questionable in the first place and now turns out to be absolute garbage. Rutilo A. definitely does not belong in the hospitality industry. I originally gave this restaurant a 2-star rating, but after the server Rutilio A (using the alias Tillo A.) personally attacked me with his "compliment" here on Yelp, I now give this restaurant a 1-star rating.

But our second time was a mellow Wednesday for lunch and while the timing was better (still not synced), the food was either meh or completely shameful. Yes, shameful! Wife got the Caesar salad with char siu chicken katsu. The chicken was ono but the salad was lazy. Basic greens with a low-quality bottled sauce squeezed on top. No wonder it came out five minutes before mine. I got the fish tacos with tots (extra $2), and this dish was the most egregious rip off I've ever seen in a restaurant. No wonder the server dropped it and ran. For $18, I got three street taco-sized flour tortillas, goopy mayo-laden "slaw", and pico with a teeny tiny piece of fish on top. See the pics! Smaller than my thumb. Barely two tater tots in size. And because it was plopped into mayo slaw, it was soggy on arrival. The fish was also suspiciously fishy tasting. I debated eating it. I ended up making one taco with all the fish and a potato taco with some tots before finally giving up. I know things are tough for restaurants right now. But this was ridiculous. I paid and left and called it a lesson learned. I'll likely stick to the Pucks Alley location from now on. Still some pride in what they serve there.
