They're one of the vendors along with a new poke place and Burger King in the food court. It's noisy and busy. We went during a peak flight time and there were no seats in the shared dining room. We were patient and got a chance to sit down after getting a few bites in at the counter along the pillar. I grabbed a Caesar salad and a bottle of Coke Zero. It was quick and efficient. I have successfully avoided the food court at HNL airport for many years, but I had a long wait until flight and I was hungry. I don't want big eats and wanted something light. California Pizza had a soup selection with a Tortilla Soup that sounded promising. The soup was $12 and came with a side of stale chips for topping. Donna, the cashier, was friendly and helpful. She had to fix the utensil dispenser for me so I could get a spoon. We had a good laugh. The soup came out quickly. The tortilla soup is hot, creamy, tomatoey with pieces of corn. There's not much to it and if you add the stale chips, they don't taste so stale. The food court was full and loud. I managed to find a table. A nice woman was cleaning tables and the floor and greeted me. While to food was mediocre and expensive, the people were friendly. 3 stars for service. read more

Hands down the best CPK I have been to so many locations, in other states as well and honestly the one in their airport is ridiculously good. They're quick, and timely. This time I had the cauliflower crust ( gluten free) option and it was incredible. My bf who isn't gluten free said my pizza was better than his! We both had the bbq chicken pics and the salad as well. In their normal locations I love their teas with the peach lemonade! Fantastic service, they all greeted and thanked me. My order was out in a timely manner and I got to sit and have a gorgeous view of a koi pond while I ate! This is located in the food court. read more

Pizza was surprisingly delicious! We got the one with mushroom, pepperoni, sausage, fresh basil and oregano yum. Considering this is airport food I give it 5 stars since I was not disappointed! I would eat this again. My friend returned her Chinese food next store that was mushy and was really bad and got a pepperoni pizza that came out quick and fresh and she was much happier. I mean, it's California Pizza Kitchen, so it's not amazing and it does feel like $17 for a small pizza (about 10 inches) is a lot of money, but I was totally satisfied with my mushroom pizza. Albeit disappointed with the way that mushrooms ranged from tiny diced pieces to giant slices... They only had for pizzas (bbq chicken, sausage/pepperoni/mushroom, just cheese, just pepperoni) and prices ranged from $14-18 before tax. Inter island travel gave me a several hour layover in Honolulu. There are no CPKs on Big Island and having moved from California it has been awhile since I had a CPK. Now I love pizza and had been pretty happy with CPKs in Cali. Very disappointing here. I had the Supreme pizza and the sauce was tasteless.... the cheese did not taste nor have the texture of mozzarella.... the sausage was miniature, tasteless sausage meatballs..... the pepperoni was paper thin and was extremely salty which when combined with other salty ingredients made the whole pizza too salty. The crust was nice and thin, and very crispy..... a plus, however is was fairly tasteless as opposed to being a compliment to the rest of the pizza. The other vegetables were adequate and had fair taste. Maybe CPK has simply changed from what it was a few years ago. Pair all that with the price paid.... yes, airport food is expensive ....period.... but, I did not get the expected value, nor experience I was hoping for. It's tucked way back in the corner behind glass doors with a small sign. We decided to grab a pizza. We watched while it was put in the oven to bake. The two ladies that worked there were very nice. I used to love this location and visit often but I've noticed some sanitation issues lately. My takeout container was dropped on the floor and the staff member picked it up and was going to put it in the bag until I asked her not to. The pizza crust is still delicious but there's very little cheese on my margarita pizza. Also the lettuce in my Cobb salad was literally frozen and hard to eat. We always get the same pizza for CPK no matter what location we visit, the pepperoni & sausage with half mushrooms. Hubby eats the meat side and I eat the mushroom side but when we got the pizza they forgot the mushroom, now I'm sad. As of August 21, 2021, this is one of 3 restaurants open in the Honolulu airport due to COVID. I have to eat gluten free and was hopeful CPK's cauliflower crust would be a good option. However, they informed me that while the crust is gluten free, the pizza is not. My best guess is they meant there was so much cross contamination it could not be called gluten free, but they did not explain this well. They just kept saying the the pizza isn't gluten free even though the crust is. I opted for a Cesar salad after reading the labels of the 2 salad options and determining the prepackaged croutons were the only source of gluten in that salad. The other salad was not an option at all for GF. However, the croutons were in a bag inside the salad that does not close, and there were bread crumbs all in the salad. I wasn't able to eat the salad either. The other people in my group had regular pizza, and they said while it was decent for airport food, it was very greasy. If you have to eat gluten free, there are currently no food options in this airport. The only other choices besides CFK are Burger King and a Chinese take-out. If you are hoping to dine at the HNL airport before your flight, BE WARE! As of July 30th, 2021, almost ALL dining venues are still closed due to COVID. We are vegan and did our homework (or so we thought) and were planning on dining at the Tequileria, or alternatively getting a vegan/GF pizza at the California Pizza Kitchen prior to our flight. Our flight was at 8:25 PM and we arrived 4 hours early (not necessary even though all reviews we read to that point said the airport was crowded with long lines getting through the security which took hours). That was not our experience. Two hours would have more than sufficed. When we arrived at the airport at 4:30 PM, and all the way up until us leaving, the only food options in the whole airport were the Local HNL (no vegan options at all), Burger King (they have Impossible Burger but no GF bun and that's not good or healthy food) and Chowmein Express (some greasy noodle and steamed vegetable vegan option). PACK AND BRING YOUR OWN FOOD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GO HUNGRY OR HAVE TO EAT POOR QUALITY FOOD. The Information desk staff said more venues may open in a month or so. read more
