Great place to grab a slice or a full pie. The hand stretched dough provides a nice airy crust around the edge and thin on the bottom coming out of oven. Outdoor patio seating allows a view while eating with the family or box it up and take it to go. Seating allows the ability to watch your pizza being made by hand. Bob's is a great quick and convenient pizza option in Kailua town. It's located in the same lot as Island Snow and has lots of parking. You can order online, via phone or in person. On my most recent visit, I ordered two 19" pizzas and 12 wings online. It was supposed to take 30 minutes, but was hot fresh and ready for pick up in 20. The pizzas are Boston style, not too saucy or greasy, with a fluffy doughy crust, while the wings were Smokey and tender. The pizzas are quite large, so arrive hungry. read more

Bob's favorite (version of supreme) was lackluster, the sauce or lack thereof had no flavor, little cheese, topped with thicker than usual cut veggies. We could've done without. Talk about ruining my day. Where do I begin. I'll save you the story and jump to the part where I'm on the beach with a bunch of friends watching the moon rise. We've already abandoned the dinner I planned for myself, kids and family and someone says, Let's order pizza from Bob's I inwardly groan because every time. EVERY TIME. I have ever ordered food from this place, it has always come with a side of Fuck up. You guys never- and I mean never (I grew up in Kailua - worked at Island Snow at 16 AND Kailua Beach Cafe at 20), so know how far back It goes - get things right. Now this would be different if you had a plucky staff of people who apologized for the mishaps, but its never been that. It is always some nickel and dime workers who are burnt out from dealing with angry customers and don't give a fuck. It is painful to try to be friendly with them because they immediately have a "fuck you" attitude. Seioursly - for the last decade. It never changes. So here is my experience. My wife ordered 2 pizzas at 6:25 - Cheese and Pepperoni - not too complicated. I get an email saying my pizzas will be ready at 6:50. We are on the beach with friends, like I stated earlier, and one of them went to pick it up. She returned (and missed the moon rise), saying they didn't have our pizzas. So I then have to drive to the shop. Show them the order at 7:15 and at that point, they sa, "Oh, we've got a new system and it just came in" What the fuck. You have a system that delays a pizza order for almost an hour? Or is it just that your shitty staff didn't see it and make the 2 simplest pizzas you produce at your store? I am beyond pisses off, because its not like this is the first time this has happened. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I ORDER FROM YOU GUYS! I live right down the street on Awakea Rd. So Im not some tourist complaining or someone from town who wanted a pizza while enjoying Kailua Beach. I'm done with your shitty service. No one apologized to us. I had the woman running the phone hand me a paper with %25 percent off scribbled on it - and BOB - She said she had to call you personally to get the authorization for this. Frankly, it is so demeaning I'm even more mad because I absolutely know if I try to use this, your fuck all staff will not accept it - that is a given based on my experience shopping there. They were saying that the new system is at fault. They were saying that the mainland is making the decisions so that is why the new system for ordering pizzas is an HOUR behind. The pizza is alright overall, but it's more on the oily side. Slices are huge and they essentially give you 2 large slices for each order. It's New York style pizza; thin and crispy. The nice thing is that they are conveniently located across from Kailua Beach Park. read more

Only advice would be to move the parmesan and red pepper flakes to another location or provide packets. It's not what I am use to in Connecticut, however it's dam good for Hawaii. They sell it by the slice for $6.95 or the whole pizza for $22.00 It was tasty and the crust was good, but I am use to a crispy crust. The only way to do this is with a brick oven that never shuts down. 800 degrees is a must. read more

Bobs pizza is better than Bostons. The crust is crispier and as soggy tasting like Bostons or that Bobs cook their pizza a little better. The pizza selection is similar to the ones that Boston have too. But the staff at Bobs is more friendly and serves me to return and try more of their pizzas and support local business! read more

As a recent East Coast transplant (from Boston, too!), I was intrigued by Bob's byline of "Real Boston Style Pizza" because...well, I didn't think Boston was exactly known for its pizza. Anyway, Bob's pizza is delicious, and you should try it! A "slice" is actually a quarter of a 19 inch pizza (kind of like Ernesto's in the North End of Boston), and they have a variety of by-the-slice options prepared in the service window if you just want enough for a meal (rare on the island!). Pricing is done by # of toppings. Alternatively you can get 4 "slices" and fill a box up with an entire pizza, which is fun for trying out a bunch of different flavors. I tried the Bob's Special (kind of a supreme pizza), the veggie, the spinach/garlic, and the pepperoni. They were all delicious and loaded up with toppings. I appreciated how the crust was thin/crispy but had good heft and chewiness, and a nice cornmeal coating (is that the Boston part of the pizza?). I reheated a slice the next day in a cast iron pan and it was perfection. Overall, Bob's is not cheap pizza, but it is very delicious, and it does remind me of the East Coast. read more

We think this pizza is the best pizza you're gonna get on island. Don't expect NY quality pizza but lol beggars can't be choosers and we do live on an island. There aren't many local people that seem to come here whenever we go, which is kinda standard (it is Kailua) but it is what it is. Parking is not the greatest but you'll find something eventually. Pizza is sold by the slice and whole pie. Slices reheat quickly. Whole pie takes about 20 min give or take. Nice selection of slices available depending bring when you go. The slices are massive!!!! I ordered a cheese slice and it was delicious, but I wasn't expecting it to be 2 full slices. The employees were nice and you could see them spinning the dough in the back. There are quite a few tables to sit at and it's a shaded area. Not too expensive, we got 1 cheese slice, 1 other slice (forgot what pizza) and 2 drinks (water and diet coke) and it was only around $20 read more
