Quick breakfast service. Surprisingly it wasnt busy via drive thru or indoor service. Staff were friendly and the order was correct. Really enjoyed the breakfast menu selection and for the price? Its worth checking out if youve got multiple mouths to feed. read more

The new employee at the counter was very polite and pleasant - his coworkers weren't very helpful for him but he figured things out, that's why the extra star. I was craving a baked potato but.... these don't even look like potatoes. I had stomach issues for 24 hrs after eating this (I think it was the chili) so think twice before you order it. I also wanted a Frosty and saw all the different flavors available. But all they actually had to offer was the original. read more

Wow! So disorganized and took over 15 mins even with ordering in the app ahead of time. Waited, they first couldn't find my order, then the person I asked who went look grabbed a broom and started sweeping. All I can say is "squirrel". Then the manager came and found it and said they'll start working on it, 15 mins later, the bigger local girl was stressing and when I asked how far I was down the list or how much longer, she said another 20 mins!! Crazy how slow this fast food was! I then tried to cancel but it wouldn't let me and said picked up. So they must be hitting the pic up button so their times aren't affected, but def cheating their system. When I went to ask for the manager becasue I couldn't cancel, the lady comes with my order.... Not 20 mins later. I'd rather they be honest and and BS their paying customers who are paying their wage. Def don't recommend this spot and so sad that they can't get their crap together. read more

Went to Wendy's for their minion adult meal and it was the best experience! The decor was amazing and there are so many tables available and great lighting. In addition, the staff was helpful as well and the food did not take long to come out. Their fries were amazing and their burgers were not bad either! The toy was also so cute. Plenty of parking, and has a nice view surrounded by the mountains. read more

Always love wendy's food. After ordering, order came out quickly BUT stood at the register for a bit and i get the drive thru was busy but not one person walking back and forth said hi or someone will be right with you. Then our order was taken and no smile no Thank you. He simply looked irritated to be working. So sad read more

Major Improvements Needed At This Location! Using Uber Eats pickup app we spent $56.00 at this Wendy's. I received a message from Wendy''s via Uber Eats that our food was ready. When I went inside I was immediately given someone else's order by the male staff member. I left with the order but returned straight away. My Mistake, I did not Check my order before leaving the store. The male staff member that gave me the order and two "Managers" were Rude when I attempted to explain my order and resolve the mixup. The male staff member kept talking over me and he would not listen as I attempted to explain that he had given me the wrong order. One of the managers finally agreed that I was given someone else's order and my order was not ready and still being prepared. The food was Cold and Sloppily prepared after the Manager stated earlier that our food was being freshly prepared. No Apologies were given for their mistake, the Cold food or my inconvenience. read more

Great service, yummy frosty, no charge for a cup of water. And it's a good sized compostable cup and you can get ice with that at the self serve station! Quiet, clean, and that includes the restroom! Which, props to Wendy's-includes your choice of the use of the air dryer, or paper towels. Which is important if you're using your hands to open the door to exit. Thank you for the great service!!! A pleasant casual place for a tasty quick bite. (This is a 5-star for the Fast food Restaurant genre only. ) Food: Wendy's has some of our favorites for when we are in a hurry or just want to relax with the kids. We like all their burgers and their frosty. We also like their chili. Service: Service here was excellent. One of the servers,Bianca, was very helpful and patient. First time to this Wendy's as coming this way only because Doctors appointment is in Kailua Town.Wendy's is a nice clean newer building, spacious inside, but on this Wednesday at around 12noon, first impression lacked clean tables& the men's restroom was dirty. No attendant on duty when busy? When ordering the manager was like when you don't want to be there, not a person you would want taking orders !Ordered a large chili with onions & chili( additional $.90) and a double Wendy's Cheeseburger Combo. The bun was hard & the lettuce was a piece that should have been cut or trim, so sloppy ! The fries were from the bottom of the batch, pieces! Not at all like the Wendy's in the mainland USA. Will not return to this store anytime soon. read more

Wonderful staffers at Wendy's Kailua! Went today at about 1:20 pm today 3.4.2025 for mobile order pickup. Props to the young man at the fry cook station who noticed twice that I needed something - so attentive and polite, traits that I admire, especially in our young people. It's obvious he was raised with good manners. Can't say enough good thing about this young man. It gave me alot of positive vibes! The chicken sandwich (mahalo T- Mobile Tuesday) was tasty and oh so satisfying! Sorry no photo, as I just dug in before I realized I forgot to snap photo, shucks. Love the self-serve soft drink machine where you can create your own soft drink mocktail. It was nice and quiet (only one other couple) when we arrived. This changed when a few students arrived after school let out; girls on cellphone running (like their life depended on it) out to the side exit door. Shortly after, the din increased as the dining room was filled to the brim with students. Have nothing against students (who represent our future), except for two bullies who felt like cutting off a fellow customer at the soft drink dispenser (read further). I got up to refill my drink and left appropriate space for the hunky, athletically-built male student (Student #1) to finish. Noticed he kept looking around, smirking. I would soon find out why. Before I could get to the soft drink dispenser after Student #1 finished filling his fruit punch drink, two other male students (Students #2 & #3) rushed there before me. Hunky Student #1 hovered nearby to encourage rude behavior. Student #2 did not yield, filling his drink. Student #3 noticed this poor behavior and politely offered to let me go before him; I thanked him. I was no more than a foot away when big body Student #1 (who hovered nearby) quickly stepped back in to block my short path to the dispenser. Judging by his obvious smirks, he knew what he was doing. I took a step back hoping this might satisfy these immature male egos (apparently not so for these misogynists). It seemed this was a game to them. I didn't feel like opening my mouth and inciting violence today (or any day for that matter). These two seemed like they would retaliate: follow you to your car or throw something at you. Thankfully, Student #3 again politely offered to let me fill my drink. I thanked him again; he knows how those two thugs are and chooses not to imitate their poor behavior - truly commendable. Hopefully, in time the two bullies will learn some manners and change (crossing my fingers). Sorry to have been so long-winded about this. I choose not to judge Wendy's Kailua for the inappropriate actions of the two male bullies, who apparently believe they need to use their testoterone for attention or to get their jollies. If possible, I may try to avoid Wendy's after school lets out. Until the encounter with head thug #1 and his disciple #2, it was an awesome visit. Just wanted Wendy's management to be aware of the situation (perhaps have staff patrol dining room and soda area) and especially to acknowledge the exemplary customer service of the staffer on the fry cook station. In the words of my Yelp pal Donna O. would say, mahalo for reading my review. read more

Stopped in to get lunch with my mom. There was a long line at the kiosk and no one at the counter. The tables were all dirty. We ended up leaving because I didn't think that we will get our food in time for us to eat it and head to her appointment. However overall feel of the place, I don't think I will ever stop back to eat there. I had to give it a star because I couldn't post this review. read more

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea... Wendy's!! The collaboration with SpongeBob putting together the Krabby Patty Meal is interesting but after a hearty meal a bit of sweet on this Halloween day sounded exactly like the perfect treat. Located right before Mari's Gardens Kailua you can't miss the bright and modern build with lots of free parking and drive thru but walking in I was impressed with the amount of seating the have and how clean and spacious the inside was. I had to give the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty a try along with the Cinnabon Pull apart buns which was nice but could've been warmed up better as it was room temp and the frosty was okay not really much a pineapple flavor a bit sweet for my personal taste but in a basic brown cup was mostly disappointing. I read Angel's review and agree with most of it as the draw to give the collaboration a try was disappointing though my experience here was a delight regardless of the staff first day was so nervous did a fantastic job. A great place to cool and relax in the cool air conditioned dining area whether you're heading in or out of Kailua Wendy's is a surprising nice place to do so. Thank you! read more

11/24 0745 / Simple order, no other customers in drive thru, 2 combo breakfasts , (1 Bacon, 1 Sausage muffin egg and cheese) home fries were like last nights closing rewarmed. Dry and flat. Upon arrival at home in morning traffic, opened the wrapped sandwiches. No meat in either! Tried to look up my receipt on app, couldn't find it even though the server scanned my QR code. Finally reached out via website to Customer Service. lol, I received a rather quick response telling me thanks and they're going to notify franchisee of the issue. Snubbed by robots and AI? I keep forgetting this is by far the worst Wendy's on island which is weird considering it's the newest. Theres always a ridiculously long wait, despite how busy the actual restaurant is. I managed to call the store and talk to a manager. They were very helpful and gave their apologies for the experience we had. They also said that they would look into it and try to figure out who the worker was. They confirmed that what I select on the app should show up on their prep screen and my receipt, and that there wasn't anything that I could've done to "fix" what she was talking about. I really appreciate their kindness and understanding. Update: upon actually going inside I got to speak with Manager Ono in person. They personally helped me and rung me up. Specifically for how they handled the situation, their professionalism, and kindness my 3 stars go up to a 5. They did an outstanding job. Thank you!! read more

This is one of the nicer Wendy's that Ive been to. It looks more modern and sleek to some of the other ones. I dined here last night and it wasn't that busy, one other family there. I went to use the bathroom and there was toilet paper all over the place. The toilet seat cover box was empty. It seems like they haven't checked the bathrooms in a while. Other than that everything was great. I got the #1 Dave's Single Combo. It comes with a burger, medium fries and drink. I opted for the chocolate frosty. They have a seasonal flavor right now, pumpkin spice frosty. I didn't try it. The combo was good. I like their burger, fries and frosty. The food came out fast and I did see a worker wiping down the tables. read more

Ok, first off, we try to avoid this location because their customer service is usually dismal, to be polite. HOWEVER, there's a new employee named "Claire", and because of her unbelievably wonderful customer service, I actually stayed in and enjoyed my lunch set. My app order was ready right on time. The drink and shake were kept cold, the food was hot, and the service was great.

Fast & friendly drive thru. Mobile order was spot on with customization. My go to late night burger munchies. Food is hot & satisfying whenever you're feeling the need for a burger & fries. I also like the lemonade mixed with plain tea. Their rewards program also gives you the opportunity to get free food. Not a big fan of their frosty ice cream treats, a bit to sweet but they certainly have da beef! Ordered through Uber, food was cold but not because uber took too long...I got my food within 30 min of my order. Everything was over cooked. I had dry over cooked chicken nuggets, over cooked bacon in my cold burger and over cooked bacon on my baked potato. The potato was so over nuked it was shriveled and the skins burnt. So sad that this location doesn't take better care of the food they are serving. I even had a missing item. Just so disappointed with the food quality (or lack of). read more

Whoever owns and manages this location is an idiot. This is a newer location in a great area. Huge, clean dining room. The problem is 99% of the orders is take out. So if you want to dine in you're possibly screwed. After waiting at the counter 10 minutes, and purposely being ignored by everyone I finally asked if I should just use the drive through. I was about to do just that but realized there'd be no way to reenter the parking lot. The poor girl taking the drive through orders did help me and bless her heart she insisted on not charging me. This employee is the only reason why I'm leaving 3 stars. The food is fine. The drink machines - BOTH of them don't work. Luckily I had a cooler in the car so I went and got a can of Coke. This is a failure of ownership and management. I've been to all the Wendy's in the island. This one is by far the worst. To management: 1. Hire a better manager 2. Ensure there's someone on staff in charge of ringing up fine in customers 3. If this person is unavailable empower someone - not the person taking drive through orders - to cover the registers 4. Make sure drink machines are working Note: on my way out I noticed self serve order kiosks by the drink machines. I'll use that next time. read more

You serve chili- you need to have utensils. Most Wendy's serve their chili in a branded Wendy's cup with the lid firmly in place and provide crackers without having to ask. That is a baseline expectation. Only after I noticed there was no spoon the staff here said they don't have spoons or forks when they should have said this when we ordered. Why was the large and small chili the same price? Staff seemed very questionable I didn't even trust eating the chili and tossed it. read more

Get to the window, he takes payment and turns his back to us standing in front of the window. Still rude and didn't give a receipt so I can't even make a formal complaint. Welcome Wendy's. Their Kailua location is a nice option for fast food. I've been avoiding this location due to the high volume of cars trying to get into the parking lot or the drive thru. Today I was going to be in the area at an off peak time 2PM. This worked out great, Had a handicap parking stall available. Upon entering this new Wendy's I noticed that dine-in was available. Next time I probably will dine in. The restaurant was clean and still had that new scent. The service was fast and the person that took my order was friendly. 1st time to Wendys in years. But wanted toctry the ghost pepper fries. Long drive thru out onto the road. But not a terribly long wait. Hubs got the Loaded Nacho Burger. Fresh fast food on the Windward side of Oahu... I watched the building of this Kailua Location of Wendy's as I passed it every time I drove to Target. LOL! You will for sure see it if you're coming from Honolulu on the Pali Highway. It's on the right side of Kailua Road, immediately before Ko'olau Farmers. The Grand Opening was Saturday, June 12, 2021. I missed it because I was helping my niece with her drive-by graduation celebration. Shucks. If only we could be in two places at the same time... Anyway, I was hungry today after my graveyard shift. I checked my Wendy's app and found a deal for a free Breakfast Sandwich with any purchase! Woot woot! Unfortunately, this Kailua Location is so new that the mobile ordering isn't in place yet. Not to worry... The nice Manager listened to my situation and allowed the cashier to give me a free Breakfast Sandwich! Yay! The cashier was very sweet and efficient! I told her that I wanted to compare the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant sandwich with the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit sandwich. She charged me for the less expensive sandwich! What a deal! I actually liked both sandwiches. The savory bacon and cheese were balanced out with the buttery biscuit and flakey croissant! I liked the slightly toasted biscuit and the softness of the croissant. Yes - I devoured both! I hope to visit again soon (maybe on Friday for Free Frosty Day) because this Wendy's is so clean and bright! There's a convenient Drive-through - for people in a rush - and dine-in for those who want to enjoy the air-conditioning and positive messages on the walls! Welcome to Kailua, Oahu, Wendy's! The newest Wendy's has opened in Hawaii and it is located in Kailua, right next to the Ko'olau garden store. The grad opening was Saturday, 6/12/21. I went for lunch on Sunday, and the line for the drive thru was wrapped around into the residential neighborhood. It took about 10 minutes to get to the parking lot and as we were waiting in line, someone from Wendy's walked down the line of cars letting people know that it was quicker to order inside. There were not many parking spots available, but we found one and headed inside to order. There were about 20 workers in the back. There was no line to order and we quickly got our food. The interior is nice and new; a very modern look. The food was ok and the cashier was great. I'm glad there is now a Wendy's on the Windward side. read more

The food was good. Restaurant was clean. The only issue was the wait and how 7 people were in line while the poor kid behind the counter is trying to cater to 4 different door dash orders. It took forever for us to get our order in and then having to wait for our food. Worse part is, I looked over at the drive through and there were three people there including a manager. Why was no one helping the kid at the front counter?! I know the mgr saw because she looked directly at us then looked away as if she didn't see everyone. I'm not sure if they get graded on their drive through service time and that's why all the attention went to drive through, but with grub hub and door dash and all your customers at the front. Either staff yourself properly or close your dining room, this is no way to run a business. read more

Quality of service given and speed of orders are 1 star. One extra star because the food is okay. I usually come for breakfast and get the same maple chicken sandwich meal with a caramel coffee and if the coffee isn't stirred and it's still separate from the caramel syrup, the chicken sandwich doesn't have the maple spread. Wendy's is currently offering $1 Frosty, but like all corporate franchise promotions, Hawai'i (and Alaska) are typically excluded from these discounts. Fortunately, this location Wendy's still participates, but is advertising (small) Frosty for $2. Long story short, BREYANSHIA SMITH repeated back my order (2 small Frosty), but the total she relayed to me did not reflect the $2 promotional price. From the drive-thru intercom, our conversation went like this; BS: Your total is $8.XX ME: Isn't the small Frosty $2? BS: You didn't ask for the $2 Frosty. ME: I ordered a small Frosty and it's $2 on your sign. As I pulled to the pickup window, our conversation continued with a few back-and-forths. For someone who claims to be the "manager", you clearly lack interpersonal skills, competence, and most importantly- a proper "manager" uniform that commands (imaginary) respect. I did catch a glimpse of a gentleman wearing a manager's badge who was shadowing you, but he was likely passing through as our conversation should have immediately triggered his attention. TLDR; If you order from BREYANSHIA SMITH, there are two price points for a (promotional) $2 small size Frosty-- $2 or $4. Unfortunately, her ignorance demands that you specify which one. For future reference, she will deliberately charge at non-promotional price unless you explicitly instruct her otherwise. read more
