Wow! So disorganized and took over 15 mins even with ordering in the app ahead of time. Waited, they first couldn't find my order, then the person I asked who went look grabbed a broom and started sweeping. All I can say is "squirrel". Then the manager came and found it and said they'll start working on it, 15 mins later, the bigger local girl was stressing and when I asked how far I was down the list or how much longer, she said another 20 mins!! Went to Wendy's for their minion adult meal and it was the best experience! The decor was amazing and there are so many tables available and great lighting. In addition, the staff was helpful as well and the food did not take long to come out. Their fries were amazing and their burgers were not bad either! The toy was also so cute. Major Improvements Needed At This Location! Using Uber Eats pickup app we spent $56.00 at this Wendy's. I received a message from Wendy''s via Uber Eats that our food was ready. When I went inside I was immediately given someone else's order by the male staff member. I left with the order but returned straight away. My Mistake, I did not Check my order before leaving the store. The male staff member that gave me the order and two "Managers" were Rude when I attempted to explain my order and resolve the mixup. The male staff member kept talking over me and he would not listen as I attempted to explain that he had given me the wrong order. One of the managers finally agreed that I was given someone else's order and my order was not ready and still being prepared. Wonderful staffers at Wendy's Kailua! Went today at about 1:20 pm today 3.4.2025 for mobile order pickup. Props to the young man at the fry cook station who noticed twice that I needed something - so attentive and polite, traits that I admire, especially in our young people. It's obvious he was raised with good manners. Can't say enough good thing about this young man. It gave me alot of positive vibes! The chicken sandwich (mahalo T- Mobile Tuesday) was tasty and oh so satisfying! Sorry no photo, as I just dug in before I realized I forgot to snap photo, shucks. Love the self-serve soft drink machine where you can create your own soft drink mocktail. It was nice and quiet (only one other couple) when we arrived. This changed when a few students arrived after school let out; girls on cellphone running (like their life depended on it) out to the side exit door. Shortly after, the din increased as the dining room was filled to the brim with students. Have nothing against students (who represent our future), except for two bullies who felt like cutting off a fellow customer at the soft drink dispenser (read further). I got up to refill my drink and left appropriate space for the hunky, athletically-built male student (Student #1) to finish. Noticed he kept looking around, smirking. I would soon find out why. Before I could get to the soft drink dispenser after Student #1 finished filling his fruit punch drink, two other male students (Students #2 & #3) rushed there before me. Hunky Student #1 hovered nearby to encourage rude behavior. Student #2 did not yield, filling his drink. Student #3 noticed this poor behavior and politely offered to let me go before him; I thanked him. I was no more than a foot away when big body Student #1 (who hovered nearby) quickly stepped back in to block my short path to the dispenser. Judging by his obvious smirks, he knew what he was doing. I took a step back hoping this might satisfy these immature male egos (apparently not so for these misogynists). It seemed this was a game to them. I didn't feel like opening my mouth and inciting violence today (or any day for that matter). These two seemed like they would retaliate: follow you to your car or throw something at you. Thankfully, Student #3 again politely offered to let me fill my drink. I thanked him again; he knows how those two thugs are and chooses not to imitate their poor behavior - truly commendable. Hopefully, in time the two bullies will learn some manners and change (crossing my fingers). Sorry to have been so long-winded about this. I choose not to judge Wendy's Kailua for the inappropriate actions of the two male bullies, who apparently believe they need to use their testoterone for attention or to get their jollies. If possible, I may try to avoid Wendy's after school lets out. Until the encounter with head thug #1 and his disciple #2, it was an awesome visit. Just wanted Wendy's management to be aware of the situation (perhaps have staff patrol dining room and soda area) and especially to acknowledge the exemplary customer service of the staffer on the fry cook station. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea... Wendy's!! The collaboration with SpongeBob putting together the Krabby Patty Meal is interesting but after a hearty meal a bit of sweet on this Halloween day sounded exactly like the perfect treat. Located right before Mari's Gardens Kailua you can't miss the bright and modern build with lots of free parking and drive thru but walking in I was impressed with the amount of seating the have and how clean and spacious the inside was. I had to give the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty a try along with the Cinnabon Pull apart buns which was nice but could've been warmed up better as it was room temp and the frosty was okay not really much a pineapple flavor a bit sweet for my personal taste but in a basic brown cup was mostly disappointing. I read Angel's review and agree with most of it as the draw to give the collaboration a try was disappointing though my experience here was a delight regardless of the staff first day was so nervous did a fantastic job. I managed to call the store and talk to a manager. They were very helpful and gave their apologies for the experience we had. They also said that they would look into it and try to figure out who the worker was. They confirmed that what I select on the app should show up on their prep screen and my receipt, and that there wasn't anything that I could've done to "fix" what she was talking about. I really appreciate their kindness and understanding. Update: upon actually going inside I got to speak with Manager Ono in person. They personally helped me and rung me up. This is one of the nicer Wendy's that Ive been to. It looks more modern and sleek to some of the other ones. I dined here last night and it wasn't that busy, one other family there. I went to use the bathroom and there was toilet paper all over the place. The toilet seat cover box was empty. It seems like they haven't checked the bathrooms in a while. Other than that everything was great. I got the #1 Dave's Single Combo. It comes with a burger, medium fries and drink. I opted for the chocolate frosty. They have a seasonal flavor right now, pumpkin spice frosty. I didn't try it. The combo was good. I like their burger, fries and frosty. My app order was ready right on time. The drink and shake were kept cold, the food was hot, and the service was great.

Ordered through Uber, food was cold but not because uber took too long...I got my food within 30 min of my order. Everything was over cooked. I had dry over cooked chicken nuggets, over cooked bacon in my cold burger and over cooked bacon on my baked potato. The potato was so over nuked it was shriveled and the skins burnt. So if you want to dine in you're possibly screwed. After waiting at the counter 10 minutes, and purposely being ignored by everyone I finally asked if I should just use the drive through. I was about to do just that but realized there'd be no way to reenter the parking lot. The poor girl taking the drive through orders did help me and bless her heart she insisted on not charging me. You serve chili- you need to have utensils. Most Wendy's serve their chili in a branded Wendy's cup with the lid firmly in place and provide crackers without having to ask. That is a baseline expectation. Only after I noticed there was no spoon the staff here said they don't have spoons or forks when they should have said this when we ordered. Welcome Wendy's. Their Kailua location is a nice option for fast food. I've been avoiding this location due to the high volume of cars trying to get into the parking lot or the drive thru. Today I was going to be in the area at an off peak time 2PM. This worked out great, Had a handicap parking stall available. Upon entering this new Wendy's I noticed that dine-in was available. Next time I probably will dine in. The restaurant was clean and still had that new scent. The service was fast and the person that took my order was friendly. The newest Wendy's has opened in Hawaii and it is located in Kailua, right next to the Ko'olau garden store. The grad opening was Saturday, 6/12/21. I went for lunch on Sunday, and the line for the drive thru was wrapped around into the residential neighborhood. It took about 10 minutes to get to the parking lot and as we were waiting in line, someone from Wendy's walked down the line of cars letting people know that it was quicker to order inside. There were not many parking spots available, but we found one and headed inside to order. There were about 20 workers in the back. There was no line to order and we quickly got our food. The interior is nice and new; a very modern look. The food was ok and the cashier was great. I'm glad there is now a Wendy's on the Windward side. read more

It took forever for us to get our order in and then having to wait for our food. Worse part is, I looked over at the drive through and there were three people there including a manager.
