They were advertising Jack's Fan Fav's Deadpool Box $10, so I had to give it a try. In the box were Mini Chimi Bang Bangs, Curly Fries, Onion Rings and Churros. All four items featured in the box were good. The mini chimi bang bangs were different. You don't see that on their everyday menu. Most of us have had their curly fries and onion rings. The churros were definitely the best thing in the box. It was rolled in cinnamon sugar and had chocolate in the middle. I couldn't get enough of the churros. They were minis. I waited about 10 minutes for the box. Everything was fried to perfection. It came fresh out of the fryer.

Jack's has always been a go-to spot for many decades. My fav has always been their tacos. Little greasy, crunchy bites of goodness, and I always have to fish out the last bits of lettuce and sauce that fall to the bottom of the wrapper. Their menu has had many updates and additions, such as the Buttery Jack (great) and the Smashed Jack (not so great), but they always have the core staples of the Jumbo Jack and Sourdough Jack family. Their prices have really increased astronomically, I guess like pretty much every place else, but the tacos are still busy $0.99 for 2 (I remember when they were $0.59? Yes, I'm that old). Like most fast food joints, probably 99% of the business is drive-thru, so the dining area is nearly always empty, so it's a nice, air-conditioned spot to hang out from the heat. Service at this location has been better in the past, but it's adequate, especially considering the worker market in these times. I'll still be coming here occasionally, especially to take advantage of the deals with the Jack App, and am occasional Oreo shake.

Sideways food in a huge container.

First off. Why did Jack n box switch to these huge containers that now look like they're shorting us on food. And secondly the sideways bag doesn't work... this is what your food looks like being sideways... sloppy. Not a fan. The black containers were better also reusable these are a no for me

Thanks for the free coffee from T-Mobile Tuesdays and Jack In The Box!

Free coffee from T-Mobile Tuesdays and the Jack In The Box app... I needed dinner, so, why not go to Jack In The Box nearby (I was in Kailua) and get a free coffee, too? (I had to stay awake for a 6pm meeting). Parking was easy because there were no other cars in the free parking lot. Inside, there were no customers! Wow! I had ordered online to redeem the code for free coffee from the T-Mobile Tuesday app. I went to the cashier and told her that I had a mobile order. She muttered something and I guessed that they were still working on my order. Since I was waiting, I may as well use the restroom... I tried to open the door, but it was locked even though the sign above the door handle read, "VACANT". I told the cashier that I would like to use the restroom. The manager came out and handed me a key attached to a plastic jug. Haha! Ok! The seat cover dispenser was empty. The roll of tissue was on top of the tissue holder. Uh... I can handle this. I'm just observing and reporting... When I returned the key, my free coffee was on the counter. I asked for sugar and non-dairy creamer. I received three sugars and three Half and Half. I returned the Half and Half because it's not non-dairy. They said that that's all they have (Half and Half). I looked in the brown paper package. It contained utensils, napkins, and a package of grilled chicken. I asked where my salad was. The cashier said that she looked at the monitor and only saw "grilled chicken", so that's what I was given: Just grilled chicken. I said that I paid over $8 for a Grilled Chicken Salad - not just the chicken! The cashier discussed with the manager and eventually, I received a green salad with packets of Ranch dressing and croutons. When I looked at the grilled chicken, it was in a patty form. They told me that I was to cut my own chicken... That's why a plastic knife was given to me. The salad was ok. Some of the lettuce had brown edges. I tried not to eat the shredded cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. The tomatoes and cucumbers were fresh! The chicken was tender, moist, and seasoned appropriately. I think English is a second language for the cashier. She didn't really speak in complete sentences and I don't think we really understood each other. I had to come to conclusions by myself. Anyway, thanks for the free coffee! I had non-dairy creamer in my car!

The order does not look anything like the picture!!! Taste is ok, fries are good but not great. Won't be back here!

I ordered TACOS, not OIL w/food. And to think I actually preferred this to Taco Bells.

I was helped by a man named Masae (?) according to the receipt. His service was decent. Definitely not like the lady in my first review. I went down a star because once again, my food was appalling. This time it was my favorite taco. Nothing is more disgusting than opening my taco to SO much oil, that the shell is saturated and soggy because of it. Do better Jack's! Your service is beginning to suck.

Had breakfast today at the Box. Service was excellent for a fastfood restaurant. My only complaint was that the Portugese sausage in the breakfast platter tasted sweet. More on the flavor of the Filipino Linquica sausage.

Wow , it used to be ok but this is dangerously scary, raw mozzarella sticks !! Be careful always check your food!!

Although I've eaten here quite a few times and tried a lot of their menu options, my personal favorite is the Green Pork Burrito. ( I can also recommend their burrito bowls, and if you are in the mood for a deconstructed burrito, it's a good option. The quesadillas and enchiladas here are also gonna satisfy. The food at Bowles is prepared, "Chef's Counter" style, where customers call out what they want as the food is sent down a short assembly line. I have always enjoyed watching food being prepared, and have marveled when I recognize someone who's skills have developed to the mastery level after doing something over and over for a bazillion times. It was slightly-fascinating (and kinda fun) to watch the chef perform the complicated movements that have become second nature. Tortillas were flipped and folded, ingredients were ladled precisely, and side-accompaniments are sprinkled on with the grace of a seasoned street magician. Speaking of, "seasoning"... the food here is seasoned very well. As one enters, the nostrils fill with a rich aromatic blend of spices like earthy cumin and smoky chipotle. Hints of garlic, and onions, citrusy cilantro, roasted chiles, and simmering beans, envelope visitors as soon as they enter. There is a vibe that the management respects and cares for it's customers, and takes pride in offering quality food. I don't know the origin story of the restaurant, I imagine the owner, at some point in his life, had some really amazing Mexican food in an amazing setting, and then decided that he wanted to share that experience with others. That brings us to the ambiance of Bowles... In addition to serving really good food, every time that I have come here, I have enjoyed the energy that the place gives off. Patrons and employees always seem to be having a relaxed, good time (well, the workers can't really relax, but they seem happy). People greet each other with bro-hugs, fist-bumps, and sincere friendly smiles. In addition to a small, welcoming bar that is attached to the restaurant, large screen televisions are strategically placed through out (to show football, basketball, or surf tournaments). The decor has an understated beach / surfer vibe and the seating is comfortable. I was by myself, last night, but every time I bring family and friends here, both the food and the atmosphere are a hit. There's a country singer named, Toby Keith, who wrote a song about a bar titled, "I love this bar" (Google it and listen to the song, it's a good song, but it also kinda-perfectly describes the vibe that this place has given off when I've been here.) My original plan was to get my order to go eat it at home, but when I noticed the place was filled with people having a good time, I decided to order a margarita and bask in the glow of people being comfortable and having fun. Mmmm...mmmm....mmmm...mm....mmm I love this burrito bar. (*You have to know the song to get this reference) .

The insides seems to be half bar and half restaurant (pic). The insides has Wooden tables and chairs and I don't beleive I felt any airconditioning so I would assume it had ac because there was no windows. There is an ordering counter that spans the lenght of the restaurant portion. The other side is the bar side. It seems to be one of those places where you order across the counter for takeout and sitdown for table service although I did not see any wait help so who knows. The staff or the guy I ordered through greeted us with a "how's it going" but that was extent of the hospitality vibe. The rest of the vibe felt like he didnt really care and was not friendly at all Not a good vibe when serving the public. I hope the hospitality friendly vibe gets better when dining in. I had just a small interaction and got that " order your food pay me and leave" vibe. I went with a 10" burrito for $12.25 which comes with either shredded chicken..pork verde..kalua pork or fajita veggies...if you want shredded beef additional $2.50...carned asada $3.50 or fish $3.50. The burrito also comes with your choice of black or refried beans..... lettuce tomato choice of two types of rice (srry forgot) and mild or hot salsa and rice After making your selections the burrito is heated up with a toaster and wrapped in foil to go. The issue them wrapping with foil is when unraveling it the foil was all stuck to the burrito. I don't normally yelp the food itself because everbody has different prefferences but I gotta say everything worked well and it was actually really good. Better than a lot of others I have had on island. This food was tasty..prices wasnt cheap but doable...portions was fair... they just need to work on their hospitality and friendliness vibe .and what they use to wrap takeout orders.. ..yups.

As soon as staff were able to engage, we were greeted, and advised where we'd be seated once another staff member had mopped the floor by the table. And then the service was great from there. Well into our meal, which was delish(!), with water refills and requests fulfilled, we discovered there was a brand new gal on deck who was trying to be helpful with utensils and napkin prep, but no one had a chance to train during the lunch rush, which was above the normal crowd because of the wonderful community event right outside - the "I Love Kailua" street fair).
