Free Cheesy Toasted Breakfast Burrito! My friend, Karen, texted me this morning and reminded me to get the freebie from Taco Bell. I saw my other Yelp friends checking in at various Taco Bells across the island - getting their breakfast burritos, too! Good job! We went between 7am and 11am. I tried ordering on the app - cannot! Must order in person at the counter or at the Drive-through... Ok - can do! There was a choice of bacon, sausage, or potato... I got the sausage one... Yum! It was temperature hot because it was freshly made! This renovated location in Kailua is on the busy Oneawa Street - across from Jack In The Box. Just be patient and someone will let you out of the driveway. Haha! I didn't do the Drive-through because I wanted to look inside... Very clean and modern! Too bad there's no dine in... drive thru is a MESS, customer service is not great and took me an hour to get through the drive thru for 2 burritos

I come here as a last resort kind of thing, because the service is literally a hit or miss. there is a gentleman that works the night shift, he was working tonight at 10pm working the window/order taking. For whatever reason he seems.. to put it simply its like he hates his job. No customer service, no patience, and no enthusiasm. He was very monotoned the whole time and didn't give us the opportunity to finish speaking at times. Now, I understand not knowing what a person goes through in their life and on a day to day basis but it's rough when you have an experience like that and not want to come back. I love Taco Bell. I used to drive all the way to the next city (Kaneohe) to get good service and good food. I just hope this gets to someone of authority to hopefully make a difference. Thanks read more

I spend $15-$30 a day here 5 to 6 days a week. I'm just done like I've got my order wrong multiple times. I just haven't complained, but I got my order wrong. This other time came back for my receipt and to replace my order so I can get my points for my order. They did not give me my receipt so I can get my points for my order right I called them explain what happened. They told me come back. They'll replace my meal got there. You will wait for over 30 minutes every time. Doesn't matter the day or what you order or if your order is large or small. They cannot tell you how long the wait is either, you just sit with the 20 other people waiting for their food. I keep coming back thinking it'll get better... it does not. Made an order online and already paid. My son went to pick it up waited for 20 minutes still no order. Went to check again and was told oops sorry! Finally got out of there 30 min later. This place in Kailua needs to upgrade the Cashiers machine it's been broken for a long time. Customers can't see how much it is. They have to talk loud how much it will be. Terrible service I had a DoorDash and seen that it was on the counter but h the lobby was closed to tryed to ask if they could give it to me at the door because there was a long line.(btw I was in the line for DoorDash for 30 mins just for a DoorDash order) when we got to the window I had asked if they had remade the food because it was alr siting for thirty to forty mins and the manager had said no they aren't allowed. I placed an order for pickup but my truck is I too laege to fit through the drive through ( found that out the hard way a few months ago). When I tried to show the drive through worker (Beth) my order and stated my name she refused to believe it was me questioning whether or not it was me. It was so bizarre because my order was clear as day on the app and they said they were showing it on my screen. I was trying to be as nice and sweet as possible, trying to figure this out while smiling and being respectful but Beth had such a crazy attitude. The manager finally came to the window and I basically said they don't even have the order ready and they aren't going to give me it even it it were ready. I didn't know fast food was that serious. I got my money back from uber and they said that it was odd that they wouldn't give me the food. 0/10 would not recommend. Food -It's Taco Bell-but we did appreciate that the menu has Kalua pork in several of the menu items right now. Hope that idea spreads to the mainland soon. Location/facility: The location is crowded onto a small area at the corner of a busy road and a narrow side-street. However, they made good use of this small property. I went through the drive thru and ordered a #4 and 2 toasted cheddar chalupas (for two people) every time I'm in the drive thru at this Taco Bell they get my order wrong so I was pleasantly surprised to have checked the bag and find a correct order! I asked for more hot sauce and the boy literally grabs as much hot sauce as his hand can hold and hands it to me. Not sure if he was being smart or overly generous. Either way I took the sauces for taco Tuesday at my place best week! Anyways, the toasted cheddar chalupa is still fairly new and I wanted to try it. OMG it was worth the risk! One hour and 10 minutes in the drive thru! Ridiculous! Especially considering the fact that when I drove up I was already at the back of the building at the entrance of the drive thru so it's not like the line was to the street or anything. On average it was about 10-15 minutes before you could move up one space. This location is notorious for LONG waits. I'm not sure if they are understaffed but I saw 4-5 workers inside. Just came back from the drive-thru and I realized that we always get a good experience at this location in Kailua... so I was inspired to write a review. The food is ok, it is fast food for sure... but it is ALWAYS fresh and on point. Our orders are always correct and the service is excellent to. They are polite, professional and efficient at this location. When I think of it, hard to compare with many other fast food places we eat at. Consistently good is good! Ordered a lemonade- it was a very light pink . It tasted super watered down. Pointed this out to the server and she stated it was "white lemonade", she informed me that the Pepsi person said it was fine (I guess Pepsi services their machines?). Since the remodel, this Taco Bell is really top notch. I am not kidding. Taco Bell in Kailua is a life saver for me. There is a now a drive-thru. A drive-thru, friends. There was none before. I no longer have to be presentable to make a run for the border because of this drive-thru. HALLELUJAH! The service here is absolutely SPEEDY. I am not kidding. They are the definition of fast food. And lo and behold, they get it right. I have used the drive-thru numerous times and not had bad service. This last time that I visited, I had the kiddos with me. We decided to park and check out the inside. We had never been since the renovation. I was curious to see the change. When you walk in, the counter is directly in front of you. There is a counter that has 3 chairs on each side directly in the middle of the floor plan. There are tables on the left and right. The drink station is on your right by the counter. The menu is huge and above the counter. We walked up and promptly ordered. We were hungry and ordered way more food than we needed. We got a box of tacos and chicken taco rolls, chicken quesadilla, chicken fries (not sure what those triangular chicken things are called), and maybe a bean burrito. It's really all a blur when you are starving after a long day. Our order took about 10 minutes. While we waited, we sat at the counter. Each side had outlets. You can charge your phone or laptop while you eat. COOL! Free refills on drinks if you dine in. That's always a plus for thirsty people. As I said, our order was done fairly quick. We double checked the order, because I am meticulous. It was correct. We grabbed a few taco sauces and napkins from the sauce station (counter directly across from where you order) and went home. The management team here honestly is stupid and doesn't understand the point of just plain simple guest service. Honestly one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. the customer service was just about as bad as it gets and the service was slow and overall just bad. The atomosphere was just kind of.. I don't exactly know how to explain it but it was not a positive one. There was this one lady that wouldn't leave my family and wouldn't leave us alone while we ate, asking question, interacting with us, and just making us super uncomfortable. bad service, bad food. was not greeted at the speaker and the young guy that was working wasnt friendly at all... informed me they were out of steak non apologetically .. got my chalupa with chicken instead. i was hoping that at least the food would be okay ... drive thru guy hands it to me without saying anything and when i took it out it looked like the most pathetic chalupa ever... barely any meat or veggies in it. and the taco wasn't that great either, all the ingredients did not taste fresh... it was terrible. i recommend this location get some tips from the hawaii kai location because the service + food quality there is always top notch! read more

This Taco Bell never gets your order right. You call the restaurant to tell them about it and it rings busy! Probably all of the other customers calling to complain as well.
