Delicious Double Cheeseburger no onions.
Rose O.

Look at the size of this double cheeseburger! I was so hungry. It was our first day here and it was a long flight. I gobbled it all up. Thank you, Tina, for bringing it out so quickly. Great job!

I ordered through uber eats on 3/17. I ordered a cobb salad with crispy chicken and i received my salad with a very long hair in my food. Very disturbing and gross, and wa

When in Waikiki and you want to save a few bucks just stop in at Denny's. The food is solid and if you're 55+ take a look at the 55+ menu. It's where we found the chicken fried steak with gravy, and two sides. All for $9.99. The chicken fried steak was actually pretty good, a smaller lunch portion which is appreciated, and it tasted well. I chose the steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes, add gravy, and it all was great. There are other items on the 55+ menu including some breakfast items, so it's a deal that's hard to beat especially here.

Breakfast!

Come here daily for breakfast daily while in Hawaii and wasn't disappointed. I was on here for Honeymoon week and our hotel, while in a nice area, did not have free breakfast or any breakfast of any type. Because we had to wake up early for excursions and couldn't be stuck behind lines for some of the other breakfast options, this was our go-to spot. By the end of the week, most of the staff knew who we were. Service was great and the food is fresh. Normally I wouldn't be a Denny's fan, but the food was just really good. They gave coffee to go daily too. The only negative is the high prices, but that is Hawaii for you.

Southwestern Benny Breakfast

Trio had visited this location three times for breakfast. Each time we've had a different server and sat in a different area either at a table or booth. We may have to wait at least 15 to 30 minutes on weekends or holidays. At this location, write your name and number of people in your party on sign in sheet clipboard located on counter. There's a section of cushioned seats in the waiting area. If lobby is full, wait outside. If waiting outiside, I highly recommend checking sign in sheet periodically so you don't miss your turn. I was super hungry and ordered Southwestern Benny Breakfast. Chorizo hidden inside the perfectly made eggs Benedict delivered spicy. Hold off the Tapatio. Not necessary. Creaminess from egg yolk soothed spicy palate and complemented crispy hash browns. I ate everything. I also craved for sweet and asked for Ala Carte Strawberry Stuffed French Toast. SIightly crispy on the edges. Structure held up and coated well with egg batter. Coconut syrup around edges, sliced strawberries, strawberry syrup and powder sugar paired well with French toast. Stuffed on outside. Not on inside. I was only able to eat one since my tummy felt satisfied and full. I took the second French toast home in a to go container.

Ramona was the sweetest waitress ever! She remembered all of her customers and our orders we went there 3 times and every time she was almost more sweet than the day before.

After a salad dinner, Dessert! Short stack pancakes and Brioche French Toast; we asked for sugar free syrup to make it somehow OK

This is a good Denny's! Went here on my last night in Hawaii as an alternate choice. Had reservations at Outrigger Reef's Monkeypod but it was crazy loud! Dueling music with classic live Hawaiian music at the hotel's Grill near the pool but music was at volume 10 (how folks could eat listenin to a show at that volume?) but it was competing with the private promotional event (invite only) playing house music next door before Monkeypod...oh my head and my hearing! Forget having any good dinner conversation so we escaped and spied this Denny's across the street! Roy's was also across the street but pancakes were calling to us. Place was clean, had families, and service was attentive enough even though only 1 waiter. Food was actually good, well-done diner food. Did I tell you this location is 24/7?!! It was a great choice with no regrets!

I feel like I haven't been to Denny's in forever. It's been that long. The T-Mobile Tuesday app had an offer of 70% off their Original Grand Slam. Alright, they got me and I decided to go. Our server was Cierra (sp), she told me her name but didn't have a name tag on. She was the best and told me that that location was the only one on the island open 24 hrs. I got a strawberry shake to go with my grand slam. The Original Grand Slam comes with two eggs, two strips of bacon, two pieces of sausage and two pancakes. Everything was on point. My over easy eggs were perfect and my bacon was crispy. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I didn't have high hopes for the milkshake, but that came out perfect as well. They even brought me the leftover that couldn't fit in the glass in a metal cup. I wasn't expecting that. I'm not sure how other items taste at Denny's, but it's five stars for my grand slam and milkshake. It's also five stars for the service I got. Cierra was on top of everything.

Do they have gluten free pancakes?

Do they have a new promotion on the eggs Benedict?

Good question.....I know they have a bigger menu, so they might have a new promotion on Eggs Benedict :)

Do they have a bar do they serve beer?

No bar, no alcohol served, no alcohol allowed in the restaurant

Is the $8.99 steak and eggs good? Is it US meat or from Brazil?

Not sure... I didn't check the cows' passport before I ate it.

Is there parking?

Unfortunately, no.

The food is so good and tender, portions are big and definitely worth the price. I love thet they open 24hrs. I do wish they improve the customer service. Also the waiting is long.

Little overdue of a review but here we go lol…read more. Diners has been a staple for my family & I , and I'm sure many other families on island for YEARS. Our family's go to was always Cheeseburger and yellow sauce with fries! As time and society evolved , so did Diners, since they became "Upscale" and added more things to their menu. I have tried their Grilled lobster plate more than once from their Upscale menu in the past and I think during that time it was $15? Not sure if it's still that price, but for that price it was a winner! Lobster + salad and rice ? What more can you ask for since that's basically a steal in today's economy. Anyway , I was in the area recently and decided on diners for dinner. I was really craving ahi katsu, unfortunately my go to spot was already closed since I decided on dinner a little after 8pm ish? So I thought .. well diners has ahi katsu supposedly .. why not give it a try. I wasn't expecting much since it was Diner's BUT needless to say.. their ahi katsu is DELICIOUS. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection! I love the sauce they drizzle on the katsu. I should've asked for extra sauce on the side had I known it was gonna be yummy! But that's something to keep note of on my next visit in the future. I definitely would order this plate again! And continue to adventure out on their menu lol. A tip to keep in mind : they do have signs posted by their windows to be patient when ordering because they do take a bit to make and give you your order since they are always short staffed. And there's normally alot of people waiting or ordering since lots come to this establishment right after work or in between work or just simply there for a bite to grab. So prepare to wait .. but sometimes you can be lucky where it doesn't take as long. It does truly depend on time and the day I guess. Also one last thing, my personal opinion , I think Diners is worth grabbing food from. Whether you're hungry , in the area or wanting to grind. Some people have mixed reviews or bad experiences but me personally , I always had a good outcome. Oh also before I forget their steak is delicious too (LOL) , never ordered it for myself but I shared some of it with one of my relatives who ordered their steak before. Give this place a shot!

Knowing me, I was most interested in the dessert, but we ended up dining here on a whim. We had really great service when we dined in. I ordered the oxtail soup because I hadn't had it before, which fulfills my rule of trying new foods when I can. It was tasty, with a unique spice blend reminiscent of other beef soups I've had in the past. However, I was particularly wowed however by the complementary bread and raspberry jam. Call me simple, but the bread was actually the star of the show for me, perfectly soft and buttery. The location in Waikiki is perhaps a clear reminder that it is a tourism city. The atmosphere is that of fine dining. Not a bad place to grab a meal when on vacation in Honolulu.

Bad customer service. When you get there in a busy/rush hour, they expect you to grab a ticket but they barely use that thing. I waited with my family while the ladies behind the counter talk amongst themselves to finally notice us. Server Emily had a really bad attitude. She didn't even welcome us or greeted us when we walked in. Seems like they just hire anyone.. Rush hour is around 6pm-7pm. Not that busy. You usually see the same people everyday. Food at the restaurant... the prime rib isn't even a prime rib. New York and shrimp is too expensive for a very thin not deveined shrimps. I like my steak med rare but the last time I ordered it, they cooked it very medium well & so I got it taken back to the cook to get another one but a manager named Geraldine stepped in and said they'd have to charge me twice if I wanted another one. I'm a local and this was really unfortunate. Will never come back here due to the lack of customer service.

Highway Inn is known for traditional Hawaiian food, but we ended up trying some of the local-style twists. The kalua pig quesadilla was really good, and the tacos were solid too. The Kaka'ako location is clean and modern, service was quick, and it was exactly what we needed after a long event. We would definitely come back to try more. The on-site music artist was good.

But pretty much everything else made it down the hatch with some breaks from being so full because it was all so delish! Service was so aloha lovely! Five stars.
