My partner got the eggs just the way they wanted them (over hard) and the server came by a couple of times to refill water. My steak Cobb was delicious. The steak was well prepared and the the other Cobb ingredients were good. The server was friendly and very good. Racist. We (Black/ African American) walked in & stood visibly at the desk waiting to be seated. They looked several times and ignored us for at least 10 minutes. We were about to walk out when the heavy- set guy (later noted as -Manager) walked over and unenthusiastically grabbed 2-menus and walked towards a tabled but didn't ask us to follow. We sat for another @ 5 minutes. A White Gentleman walked thru the door and seated HIMSELF at the table next to us with NO WAITING. We continued to wait for someone to rake our order. A Waiter came over and IMMEDIATELY took HIS ORDER!! We got up and walked out of the dining area and asked for a Manager. He came with excuses. We reminded him of his earlier actions of his he was the person who ignored us initially and not we were discriminated at being served as well. WOW...I mean WOW!!!! The graveyard crew at this location has by far the WORST customer service. They will look at you walk in and then literally ignore you if you are not dining in and getting food to go. Came here at 237am when the app said my online order will be available. It was pretty busy when I came. 1 guy servicing 8 tables. Stood in front and waited for 10 minutes without him saying anything running back and forth. Table of 6 comes in he immediately walks over and sat them down. I told him I had an online order and he hastily replied "it's not ready yet". I'm actually shocked how busy it is at 2 in the morning and there's only 1 guy working but a quick acknowledgement would have been nice. This is my first time at any Denny's location and it just fast food but not making a good impression. Later on I do feel bad for the guy having to do everything by himself. Throughout my stay in Hawaii I noticed this is a common trend. A lot of places tend to be understaffed and people are not in a rush. I try to be understanding but for most restaurants just be patient and prepare to wait even if you do order ahead :) read more

His behavior was bizarre when I asked the price of something, he said it cost "$1 billion," and he mocked my wife for ordering decaf coffee. At first, we honestly thought maybe this was one of those themed restaurants where the staff are intentionally rude for fun, but it became clear he was just genuinely rude. Our server was very nice in the beginning and once it started to get more busier she wasn't as attentive. I had to ask for water and extra napkins they both came at different times. The restaurant was clean and a great location, but the loud-mouthed, flippant waiter didn't seem to want to work and wasn't afraid to yell insults at customers front across the restaurant while waiting by the kitchen talking to the other staff who also were doing nothing. As there was only one waiter and most tables empty, a grabbed a table on my own, as the other three parties who arrived after me were growing impatient and one left. The lazy waiter yelled at me that I am supposed to wait to be seated. I said that I had and now I'm still waiting. He took the orders from the other tables and came over to me, telling me in the same loud voice he used to yell at me across the restaurant, but this time standing right next to me, he yelled into my closest ear that they didn't have my order, I ordered something else, he said they didn't have that either as he walked away, five minutes later he brought water to my table.
