Prime rib was soooo good! Served with fresh grated horseradish. I ate half before I remembered to take a picture.

Not gonna lie, I almost didn't try this place due to bad reviews. SO GLAD we came!! The ambiance is fun, the service fast and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious!! Best meal I've had in ages!

The service is amazing! 10/10 every single person was extremely welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was clean. We absolutely loved the decor. The food unfortunately was horrible. I ordered a 16 oz ribeye medium rare and it was so OVER COOKED AND DRY the same for my friend that ordered the same thing. The BEST thing on the menu was the sweet potato. We also ordered calamari it was chewy. The " garlic " mash potatoes had ZERO garlic. Save your $ and cook at home.

We came here to celebrate my husband's belated birthday with a good steak (he loves the Porterhouse). We've been here a few times and usually have a great experience, but today was just okay. We arrived around 4:00 and there was hardly anyone there. We were seated almost immediately and then quickly met our server, Mario. He was really great and made us laugh a lot. We ordered a ton of coconut shrimp...like seriously a ton. We had it for an appetizer, it was my entree, and my husband got it as a side. We love coconut shrimp, but we definitely took it a little too far :) I don't think I can touch another coconut shrimp for a while now. My husband's porterhouse was supposed to be medium rare, but it seemed to be cooked differently throughout. The first corner he cut was well done, the second, medium well. There might have been a piece that was medium, but none of it was medium rare. He also pulled out some shards of bone out of his steak. Those could have been very dangerous if he hadn't seen them. My husband had a candied jacketed yam as one of his sides. Most of it was good, but the inside of the skin was black and burnt. Definitely not edible. I ran out of water and asked for a refill. Mario left for quite a while (I think he forgot about me) and when he came back, he asked the table next to us if they needed anything. Someone wanted a refill, so he immediately got her a refill. After doing so, he turned around and said "water" and then grabbed me a refill. I think it was an honest mistake...we're all human. I was feeling a little forgotten though :( I loved my coconut shrimp and I loved the broccoli. If we come here again, I'm going to ask for two servings of broccoli instead of another side. Their broccoli is cooked perfectly every single time! We left feeling kind of meh about out dining experience today. It will probably be a while before we return.

The ambiance is incredible. Every single inch is decorated and designed to look stunning. It isn't super dark so I was able to read the menu without using my phone as a flash flight. Dinner was quick and service was attentive even though they were busy. The food was just ok. The tomato my server recommended was underwhelming and so was the steak. The steak was a little too salty. Maybe we caught them on a bad night.

My wife and I had dinner, and I accidentally drank from a chipped glass with a missing piece. The server was too rushed to check, and when we tried to talk to a manager, she deflected back to the waitress without offering an apology. My wife spoke to someone else who said, "Well, it happens." What was supposed to be a great night is now making me sick thinking about it. Thanks, Ruby River!

Smothered chicken and jacketed yam - candied style

This is one of our favorite places!! First of all the log cabin decor is awesome! To me this is what a restaurant would look like up in the mountains! My wife and I usually get the smothered chicken, jacketed yams - candied style, and a side salad. These are all so good!! Especially the jacketed yams. I've never had them anywhere this good. Also the prices are so reasonable! This is where I take friends, family, and work dinners!

Ruby River has been around for so long! Beautiful building with a ton of parking. Did a late lunch here & I had a veggie burger. Fries are amazing, first of all. Veggie burger was pretty basic & simple. Nothing too great, but also not terrible. Southwestern chicken salad, with no chicken, was colorful & yummy, although it looks a little drab in the picture. The mashed potatoes are a favorite! & apparently the steak too. we had a pretty big group but the staff seemed to get everyone's orders correct. Drinks took a while to receive, as well as food. The checks took about an hour to receive after we were done eating. ‍

My girlfriend got a buffalo chicken sandwich that really had no flavor and was mostly breading and super messy. I got a shepherds pie but as well the potatoes had little to no flavor.. I think this place has a lot of potential. Maybe it was just a bad night. But I think better service and curating a better palate for the menu can be done. Especially for being one of the few better bar and food places in Ogden.

Tonight was prom for a few districts, so by the time we arrived it was overrun, but we sailed right through. The croissants they give you while waiting for your meal are delightful and almost like a dessert. A little heavy handed with the salt on the onion rings, but good flavor and enjoyably messy. Portions can tend to run large. Be prepared for leftovers! My dining companion got spasagna, a hybrid spaghetti/lasagna dish which she enjoyed. I had a combo ribs with chicken strips. The chicken strips had a hot honey sauce which had just a little kick. Ribs are of the fall-off-the-bone variety, rather than competition, but great flavor and nice traditional sauce. Everything was good, though we barely made a dent, and packed the rest to take home. Comfortable and friendly environment. Our server was helpful but didn't hover or rush. Enjoyable evening.

My wife got the lemon chicken, it was really good too. My kids lived the fish tank in the front area. We also thought the ceiling fans were cool. Service was pretty good, she was nice enough but forgot my son's drink, we had to ask the lady that brought the food out for it because it never showed up and we hadn't seen our server in a while. All in all it was great, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I showed up a little before 7:00pm on a Sunday night without reservations. Luckily they weren't too busy, but the hostess was a little cold towards us. After that interaction, my we were worried we chose the wrong place for my husband's birthday dinner. Our waiter, Chris L, completely changed the experience for us. I cannot sing his praises enough! He gave us great recommendations, refilled our drinks before they were gone, and he took care of an issue (even though we didn't think it was an issue). He was very personable and made our dining experience a great experience. As for the food, hold the front door! You want an amazing steak at a decent price? This is the place! My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the flavor was insane! That goes for every single thing we ate, from the bread before we ordered to the sides to our main course. Nothing was less than excellent. We ordered the firecracker chicken wraps to start. The only way I know how to describe them as is they're like a bomb chicken taquito...and that's avocado lime sauce was amazing! Our waiter told us to try the spicy chicken bites next time (we almost ordered those). For the main course, I had the filet and I loved it! My husband had the Outlaw Ribeye and felt the same way. We both ordered a baked potato and mac & cheese for our sides (we were so happy there was the option to substitute the salad). The sides were delicious, especially the mac and cheese! I need that in a gallon container please! Since it was my husband's birthday, I made him get a dessert, and we're both so happy he did. He ordered the chocolate stampede. It was chocolatey, smooth, and paired well with the vanilla bean ice cream. It definitely put us over the edge, but worth it! I can't wait to go back and have another steak diner. It's all I can think about!

When we arrived, we were told there would be a 45-minute wait, which was understandable. Since there was a wait, we asked if we could sit at the bar instead. I then asked if food service was available at the bar, and she said it was -- but that it would still take at least 45 minutes to get food. We sat down briefly, but the bar area was dirty, and honestly, the interaction left us feeling unwelcome. The tone and attitude from the hostess came across as if she really didn't want us eating there at all. So we decided to leave. That was the disappointing part -- because we actually enjoyed the food during our previous visit. Unfortunately, customer service can completely change the experience, and this time it did.
