Delicious salads but the service was amazing. I wish I knew the man's name that was working today but he was so kind. He checked back on us after we got our food and also when we were leaving. A bit of kindness goes a long way! Thank you!

Chicken bowl with rumbi rice, it's to die for.

I'm surprised I've never reviewed this place before! I go here more than enough. I really enjoy Rumbi's. The food tastes incredible and there is a lot of it. I normally get the half bowl of chicken with the Rumbi Rice (it really is one of a kind). And a side of sweet potato fries, because you can never go wrong with sweet potatoes. There is a fun atmosphere and fun people, outdoor as well as indoor seating, and you can choose between real silverware or chopsticks--go with the latter, it's always more fun to make a fool out of yourself. The reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is simply because of the pricing. It's a little on the high side and I have yet to figure out the best times to go, I know there are deals of the day, it's just hard for me to sway from the usual when I'm craving it! TIPS & TRICKS: * Again, grab a seat outside if it's nice enough. It's in a secluded enough area that it doesn't make you feel awkward. * Grab a to-go box and have it for a midnight snack the next day, leftovers are always winners.

The general manager Ryan has likely saved lives by helping people realize they matter.

Ryan Ryan Ryan Ryan! If you have not met this general manager you have not met the most ideal manager ever in the history of restaurants. All the awards on the walls agree. I'm so surprised he has not been headhunted buy some big restaurant that would pay him 250 grand a year. For real always feel like I've come home when I come here.

It made me feel like I was back in on the islands and it was so amazing I wanted to stay. The tempura chicken was so good. Also the manager Ryan was awesome, he was so kind and generous also when we were leaving he said good bye and that he wished us a good day. You know I wish that all managers did that because it would be awesome and it would make you want to come back everyday over and over. If I ever go back to any Hawaiian restaurant I would be disappointed that it wasn't that good.

Can I have seconds? Oh my gosh!! Salmon is cooked perfect and beyond tasty. Melt in your mouth good.

This issue favorite location. The restaurant is clean. The staff keeps the tables wiped down and beverage area clean, clean, clean. For being a busy spot, the staff are all very friendly. I ordered the Salmon with Rumbi rice. It was served with a side salad. The salad was crisp and perfect, very fresh! The salmon... Oh my gosh. It was cooked perfectly, fresh and delicious!! Can I have seconds?

One odd thing--they use table clothes but then put paper on top. This felt a bit off for the fancy atmosphere they were trying to create. We had lots of delicious food. Our meal started off with the Daily Bread & Butter and Caesar. Both paired well together. For entrees, I had the Wagyu Zabuton, which was cooked well and was paired with flavorful sides. My husband had the Lamb Chops, which were beautifully plated. All the cocktails were amazing, but my favorite was the Madam's Choice. They didn't do anything special for anniversaries, but it was fine because we were full of food and took the leftovers home. I'm excited to try this place for Sunday brunch next!

The flavor palette is just absolutely exquisite and will justify your coming here. ...and on that note. I had to wait what felt like an epoch for my delicious, chicken-y reward, and despite the size of the restaurant and relatively tame level of busy-ness, wait staff still took their sweet time and did not get bread out in a timely fashion. The ambiance is like 'millennial interior design final boss' - imagine being trapped within the pages of Magnolia Table, and everyone looks and sounds like the first Google results for 'hipster'. I wouldn't mention this if the smarminess of staff didn't compound the frustration of having to wait forever for like three pieces of bread. So, if you're in the area and have a refined palette that craves rich, delicious flavors against a backdrop of open French windows, I'd say go for it. The food definitely outcompetes the annoyance I felt. But seriously, get the chicken sandwich.

They don't take reservations but I called ahead as the staff suggested to get a sense of the expected wait time. I called again to say we were on our way and When we arrived the hostess was more interested in answering the phone than helping to seat us. Over and over again she ignored us and kept us standing with all the other hopeful patrons in the tiny waiting area. With several open tables. Wtf? Finally she came to the conclusion she could seat us. Get a plan. The wine list is decent but unless you can educate your staff as to what's on offer and how to help your guests, why have it? This is typical of utah eateries. I get it. You're hamstrung by the alcohol laws to some extent but if you're going to offer wine, make the effort to educate your staff if your patrons have questions. Once ordered, our entrees came out so fast as so suggest they'd been prepared and sitting under a heat lamp. The glossy thick and cloying sweet gravy of the sauerbraten would assume nothing less. This place has promise but it's small and noisy. It was packed by 6 pm on a Friday with large parties of families toting kids in strollers. If you're looking for something quiet and intimate, you might find it on another nightie somewhere else.
