This was supposed to be a relaxing experience but turned out to disrupt my next few days. Unbelievable $80 for this is absolutely insane. Got a pedicure here and the lady cut the side of my toenail down all the way to the cuticle. I can't walk on my foot because my big toe hurts so bad. I screamed when she did it and couldn't believe how much of my toe nail she cut off. When I got home, examined all my toes and she cut all of my toe nails at an angle and ruined the shape of my nail? I have no idea why. She did not paint my full toe nail. She painted about 70% of my nail and didn't paint any of the sides, got tons of polish all over my skin. Had to take today off because my toe hurts so had. I'm praying it's not infected. It's going to take forever for my nail to grow back and probably be an ingrown. Not to mention the entire time this lady was trying to up sale me on getting a more expensive pedicure and I kept refusing. It was exhausting. I am beyond pissed at how much my toe hurts. I can't believe it. Do not come here if you value walking. My friend came here and had the exact same experience. Except both of her toes are in serious pain. Go to lavish nails instead.

The owner of Q Nails sis my nails crooked and didn't even cut my nails or cuticles. I stopped in at Elegant Nails without and appointment and was seated right away with one of the nail techs. Her name is Katrina. I told her what I wanted with length, shape and design and she delivered! She did such a good job and made sure to make everything even and did a wonderful job with the flower design I asked for. Will definitely be back! They have stamp cards so you get a stamp for every visit and eventually can save money on one of the services once the stamps are filled.

A really sweet younger girl starts my pedicure. I give the lady the design for my nails to confirm we could do it - she says yes. We do the pedicure - another lady finishes it. They rush me over to the nail area and the lady doing my nails is really unkind. I chalk it up to stress - and sit quietly. There's a dirty bandaid next to my hand she's working on. Not super clean here. She is aggressive on applying the fake nails, and finally she hands me a bunch of colors to pick from. So then I'm confused, and ask her if she was showed he photo. She says - yes, I can't do that. Pick something else. I would have NEVER gotten acrylic nails if it wasn't for wanting this specific design. I would have done my nails at home. Now it's 2.5 hours of being here and waiting around, more time wasted on applying these nails. She says that she'll "try" and copy a different design I show her and that it'll be $5 a nail (see photo below). I tell her I am not happy with this but at 3 hours I need to leave. I pay $100 + for something I did not want. I finished my nails at home with glitter. & within 3 hours in closed toe shoes, my pedicure chipped. Not coming back.

However my updates specifically are focused on gel nails and nail art along with their policy and service. I got my mani with nail art on Dec. 20th. Just a few days after, my finger nail chipped horizontally. Two days later it broke off taking most of the nail and art with it. A few days after that, so around only 10 days after getting them, my middle finger paint and nail art lifted from the front, chipping off. On the same left hand. Two nails next to each other could be coincidence but to me indicates something wasn't properly applied. I called today (2 weeks after getting them done) and they said within a week they will fix for free and anything after that is on me. With the holidays I will agree ideally I would have called sooner but I was out of town so no way they could have fixed the two nails anyway. The front desk girl didn't seem to care much about thinking through the actual situation instead of just repeating someone told her while I was on hold. Bummer. In all my years of getting nails done I haven't had issues so quickly after a service and especially with any nail art up charges. But more importantly the way they responded to my call today confirms I will take my business and tons of my friends that I bring with me, elsewhere.

As soon as I came in, I was greeted warmly and asked what I wanted done (silly me forgot to book an appointment). I told them and they gave me an ETA of about 30 minutes, which was fine with me. One thing I noticed and appreciated is that they have gummy bears for you to snack on! I love gummy bears!! After only 20-25 minutes they were ready for me. Luckily I came on a slower day because Helena, the owner, told me that they're usually booked all the time. She took me to a room in the back and laid me down under a blanket, where I was met face-to-face with this contraption that blew steam in my face to help me sweat and open up my pores a bit. The rest was literally a blue because my eyes were closed and Helena worked her magic from there. The best part was probably that sticky mask that people wear where it makes your face frozen for a bit. Taking that off felt so damn satisfying... I felt like a new man! Waxing my eyebrows was a little scary for me, but Helena made it extremely quick and easy for me to be comfortable with. She laughed at how much of a little chicken I was and complimented me for even getting these done in the first place. I have been going there for several years and am always impressed with the manner in which they treat all their customers- especially good with older people like me. The lady that called them crooks is terribly mistaken. Try losing a gift certificate for any business and then call them on the phone to see if they will honor the missing item. If this lady had simply brought her Aunt into the shop and told them what happened, I am certain they would have accommodated her. They are honest people just trying to make a living by providing outstanding service- especially to older clients. They are gentle, respectful, and kind. She called them "Malaysian" and said they spoke rudely to her. Did not happen. She needs to go into their shop and explain what happened- not talk to them on the phone as they do not always understand our language.
