Someone brought Ruby's donuts (not sure if they were donated or purchased) to my wife's work as a thank you for essential workers during the COVID craziness. My wife said they were the best donuts she ever had! She had a double chocolate donut and her partner had a Boston cream. Both were amazing (in their words). We went in @ 2:30 (closing time is 5) looking for Apple cider donuts -they were sold out-however there was still a great selection. We were asked to try a few of the other donuts and I am so glad that we did. These are not your typical chain store run of the mill donuts, they have the homemade quality that typical shops lack. They are soft and fresh. I can't believe we have not stopped in before now. The shop is easy to get to right off route 2 -Jackson Rd/Devens exit. Go now -you will not regret it. read more

Warm, freshly made donuts all day. Donuts are perfect in texture, not dense or greasy, and BIG - and when they fill them, they really fill them. And the fillings & glazes are excellent. Glazes aren't those dry, crumbly, sickly-sweet ones - they're soft, smooth & full of flavor. Chocolate glaze really tastes like chocolate vs chocolate-flavored sugar. And, the lemon filling is AMAZING. Owners are wonderful, have often added a free sample or two in our box of things that are new or that we haven't tried yet. Definitely worth running out for a dozen on a cold weekend morning to savor with coffee. They keep better overnight than any others, and Ruby's makes extras the day before a holiday for afternoon pick-ups. We always grab some the afternoon before Thanksgiving & Christmas to make holiday breakfast a real treat. read more

I hardly ever login to Yelp and review. Ruby's is so good, I came here to make sure the world knew about the greatest glazed donut I ever had today. Light, fluffy with a crispy glaze that absolutely melted in my mouth. Also, they had a spread of freshly made donuts that would stagger you in their sheer beauty. You can tell it's a labor of love and that we are benefitting from a learned donut wizard of some kind. These are the kind of local businesses we should support. This place opened a few months ago. Decent selection of homemade doughnuts, mostly raised or cake, along with some other doughnut shop staples (cinnamon rolls, bear claws, etc.) Flavors are good, price is decent, cash only. Unfortunately I think I got yesterday's (or last week's) doughnuts this morning. Both doughnuts were hard, dry, and stale tasting. I'd expect that at 3 PM, not 7:30 AM. If they've only been open a short time and are already selling stale doughnuts to save money, my bet is they won't last long. read more
