Chris & Meredith, the new owners had big ideas. They excitedly mentioned some of the changes that they'd planned, including the new seating arrangements. Could that possibly work for our often crowded daily morning group? We weren't sure. But Chris has been accommodating and solicitous, and assured us that he'd make it work for us ~~ And he has. In addition, new yummy food offerings are now available; bagels & lox, avocado toast, yogurt parfaits, and overnight oats. (My husband's favorite) As before, the barristas are friendly, competent, and cheerful. The only change that disappoints me (and this is minor), is the placement of the baked goods. I used to derive great pleasure in watching the young children walk up to the pastry window at their eye level, as they would choose their favorite treat. Yes, change is hard, but the new owners have succeeded in continuing to make Acton Coffee the welcoming place we want to be every morning we're in town.

When you go in, you can grab a menu and decide what you want before going up to the counter to order. You're given a number to put on your table and the food will come out when it's ready. If you ordered a caffeinated beverage, your name will be called so you can go up to the counter and pick it up. we ordered two pork hashes with a black tea and coffee. There is no free refills. The coffee and tea were both very smooth. The pork hash was really flavorful and well cooked. The barbecue sauce is on the sweeter side and at certain bites dominated the flavor profile. something in the dishes made us super lethargic afterwards. i don't normally daytime nap but took one when i got home.

I am a fiend for Boba Tea and I tend to order from Kung Fu Tea or Gong Cha every time I'm at a mall, or I will go to one of many similar shops when I'm in Boston. For a long time I wished there was a dedicated option in Fitchburg/Leominster so that I can stop tolerating the instant powder stuff sold in a lot of Asian restaurants. How could I have been so clueless? Pudgey Tea is located within the Fitchburg Public Market which apparently opened some time in 2024 if I did my Instagram research correctly. The Public Market is located on Main Street, 'roughly across' from the MBTA Train station. The parking lot and entrance are on the west side of the building and counting on Google Maps images roughly shows about 20 spots. Don't be dumb like me and assume the east side of the building also has an entrance like typical large public markets in major cities. Stepping inside you'll find that the market is pretty cozy (smallish) and that Pudgey Tea shares half of their space with Colombiana. Seating is extremely sparse; just 1 table meant for 2 and 1 table meant for 4. You won't be relaxing here with a group of friends. We came in at 8:00PM and the two staff members were very friendly. One of them was brand new, but that wasn't an issue since we needed quite a bit of time to choose what we wanted anyway. They told me they've only been open for a year and that this place is kind of a hidden gem that not many people seem to know about. Which sounds pretty darn true from my perspective! We ordered; Honeydew Milk Tea ; delicious. this is my favorite flavor that I always order when available and the flavor is on point. they were sold out of crystal boba in stock so I opted for energy popping pearls and they added some nice tang to the drink. Brown Sugar Milk Tea ; my wife ordered it and she did not complain. she said she was come back for more. sounds good to me! 3 Mochi Donuts ; Strawberry, Mocha Latte, and Churro. Ah, these are great! If you've never had them before, I find the texture to be very similar to the cheesy Brazilian bread pão de queijo if you've ever been to Fogo de Chão. It has a very subtle satisfying chew to each bite, and the shape inherently makes it fun to eat a small bite at a time or share with others. Classic Pudgey Dog ; the fried batter is awesome! not hard or crunchy, just delightfully crispy and the temperature isn't molten lava in the first bite. Spicy Mayo drizzle they use surprisingly has heat. they also topped it with some sugar (which is common for Korean Corn Dogs), but they could've been a little heavier-handed 'cause the hotdog seemed quite salty. I'm not a hot dog or a salty meat person, so it might be more of a personal issue. Mozza Pudgey Dog ; most of my previous compliments apply here too except these dogs are noticeably wayyy more plump. the cheese pull is quite ridiculous. Um, I will not talk about the taste because I personally do not like mozzarella cheese and for some reason my wife always forgets she hates mozzarella too. I'm just glad we got it for the great picture lol. I'm so happy we have a local dedicated Boba shop and I will be coming back here as a regular.
