Kosh Kosh Custard

This is becoming problematic! The desserts here can't be beat, even if it's something you've never had before, you know it's going to be absolutely incredible! Sonya is always super friendly and helpful, makes it easy to go back! Gives great advice for which sweet treat will make you the happiest. Any time I take these anywhere, they're very happily received. And their prices are incredibly reasonable!!!

Baklava assort & banana tres leches

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem while driving by--what a find! I've been in multiple times now, and every experience has been nothing short of wonderful. Honestly, I'm surprised the reviews aren't better, because this place is a treasure. The baklava is out of this world--perfectly balanced, rich, and stays fresh for 7-10 days (not that it ever lasts that long in my house!). The two lovely ladies who are always there when I stop in on Sundays are absolute sweethearts. They're warm, welcoming, and always offer great suggestions when I'm feeling adventurous and want to try something new. The presentation of the sweets is so elegant--truly fit for royalty. Everything looks and tastes like it was made with great care and love. Royal Sweets lives up to its name, and I'll keep coming back again and again! Today I tried the banana tres leches--wow! An incredible, refreshing twist on the classic. So moist, airy, and packed with flavor.

Passed by this bakery so many times and finally made it in tonight. And all I can say is wow. So many to choose from. A bit overwhelming. I couldn't decide what to choose until a lady came from the back kitchen with freshly baked baklava filled with cream cheese and said here please try and Holy Canoli! ! It was so DELICIOUS! I'm obsessed. They serve pastries, cakes, and ice cream. The only thing missing is a seating area. Would love to have enjoyed the freshly baked goods with a cup of coffee or tea.

If you love Middle Eastern desserts, this place is a must! The kunefe was perfectly crispy on top with a beautiful layer of cheese, and the pistachio baklava was fresh and flavorful. It honestly made me feel like I was back home. I also tried their viral cakes, and my favorite was the lemon.

Royal Sweets is one of my favorite dessert place here at ElCajon. Last Saturday we came here and we met a lady named Habiba ( I think that's her name if im not mistaken) She was very friendly and patient with us. We bought 8 different kinds of ice cream to try and all are so good and satisfying. The place was small but it was clean and all their displayed desserts are mouth watering to see.

Birthday Vanilla Cake Slice

Asked for a custom cake with short notice and they delivered! It was exactly like the picture to the tee. Delicious!!!!! Very well priced and on time. Customer service also excellent. Extra thanks to Sophia for making my daughter's bday wish come true!

Baklava!!! It's so nice to get treats here once in a while. I love pistachios so it's a plus for me to enjoy! I also like trying out other stuff I haven't tried / seen before. Great flavors and textures!!!! Try this place out!!!

I ordered dessert and two birthday cakes for my twin daughters and paid in full in advance, with a…read morereceipt confirming everything. The order was supposed to be ready for pickup at 2 PM on Sunday. I sent my mom to pick everything up and bring it to the party. When she arrived, they told her there were no cakes and no record of my order. Two cashiers started blaming each other--each one claiming they didn't take the order. My mom FaceTimed me while I was at the party with guests already arriving (this was around 4 PM, well past the pickup time). I spoke to the cashier who originally took my order--she remembered me--but then claimed they had misplaced the order and there were no cakes. They told us to come back in an hour so they could remake everything. I asked for at least the desserts since the party was already set up and we were only missing the dessert table and cake. Instead, they made my mom wait another 30 minutes just to get the desserts--and even then, the order was incorrect. I had ordered 10 cups of kishkish, but they only gave 8. When I called to ask, they initially insisted they gave 10. I had to FaceTime them to show proof because they were accusing me of lying. Then they changed their story and said they gave 8 larger cups instead. My husband returned an hour later to pick up the cakes while guests were waiting--very embarrassing. The cakes we finally received had different fillings than what I originally ordered, but at that point we had no choice. Throughout this entire experience, the staff was rude and dismissive. Not once did anyone apologize or take responsibility. They made it seem like the mistake was ours. I would strongly advise against ordering from here for any special occasion. This was extremely disappointing and stressful.

There was only one person in front of me when I walked into the store and the lady behind the counter after she got done ringing him up a few people walked in and basically cut the line and she didn't even acknowledge me and she continued to ring people up after the second person she helped. I finally decided to go up to her so that hopefully she'd acknowledge me that I've been waiting patiently I asked a question and then told her I was ready and knew what I wanted. I proceeded to walk to the item and she did not follow me. She continued to ring people up and have me stand there two more people after me and the third person which is now five total told her that he would be happy to wait because he knew I was ahead of him and acknowledged that what she was doing was rude and disrespectful. She shook her head no and said that it was OK and continue to ring him up at that point I walked out outraged and upset of how rude this lady was. I was a big fan of this place, but I will no longer ever come back here again as long as she's working there and I will never recommend anyone to come here either. If you see this lady just keep driving and go somewhere else you don't deserve to be disrespected when you're a paying customer.

Flour Atelier is a small bakery right next to the hovering Mitsuwa. They carry two refrigerated sections' worth of original treats and pastries, many with Asian flavors such as their ube leche flan and calamansi cheesecake. I'm a gluten free girly nowadays, but when I could eat their desserts I did love their cheesecake: a balance of cream-to-crust is important to me. And those flavors? Standout. Hard to find many other places. They also have tea and coffee, and my husband and I LOVE their hojicha latte, which boasts a nice earthy-to-sweet ratio. If you want a grounded flavor without getting another coffee, try the hojicha latte! The store itself is quite small, selling sweet treats, drinks, and even flowers through a collaboration with a florist. They have about 4 tables outside -- recommended for small parties, unless you come when it's empty with a group. BIG TIP: Bring your mother or mother-in-law here to impress -- that is, if she likes cute, sweet treats and a tea party vibe! My mom always loves coming here, and bringing the whole family, too Keep up the great work Flour Atelier!

There is no indoor seating but there are a few tables out front. It's an interesting concept. Flour meets flowers. The pastries are beautifully done & such a feast not only for your eyes but your palate as well. My dear son treated me to a Tiramisu pastry plus an iced Chagaccino. I saved the rest of the pastry for later since I was still full from my cream puffs. I did try a piece and it was perfection! I chugged down my delicious iced drink as we sat outside. My son told me their most popular pastry is a Calamansi cake, which sells out quickly. Would love to try one of those.

No wonder why the ladies that ordered before me cleared almost the entire selection. Luckily, an older gentlemen working in the bakery told us that if we waited an extra 10-15 minutes, they would have additional financiers ready for purchase. I was able to snag a pumpkin bread so I didn't mind waiting. We tried the lemon financier and the almond financier, and the almond was my absolute favorite! I was a little bummed that we came too late to try their pastries, but we ended up getting to try some at Lovesong Coffee, just a couple steps away. Parking may be tough so expect a walk unless you're lucky! We went late in the day and most of the popular desserts were gone, so we tried the Lotus (Biscoff) cheesecake. We also got a regular latte on the side, which was a great idea to pair with the sweet cheesecake. The cheesecake filling was more like a cream & fluff rather than your typical thick texture cheesecake. It kinda threw me off but it was different so I didn't mind. The cookie butter layer was thick and hard to work with. It is a small portion but split between 2 people is just right, as the sweetness can be too much after awhile. I would definitely come back to try their other cheesecakes!

There's plenty of outdoor seating, plus several small tables inside. Even on a weekday afternoon, it was packed--but we lucked out and grabbed a table inside so we could sit and enjoy everything. I ordered a winter tea, a traditional Kurdish apple pastry, and a Russian honey cake (I wish I remembered the exact name). The apple pastry was my favorite. It wasn't overly sweet--which I really appreciated--and had a lighter apple filling. It's not your typical American apple pie; it reminded me more of a soft, rolled pastry, almost like a cinnamon roll with apple filling. Both my husband and I loved it and would definitely order it again. The honey cake was also delicious--rich but not too sweet, which seems to be a theme here. Overall, such a cute spot with unique desserts and a warm atmosphere. I'd love to come back and try their coffee next time.

I arrived around 7:55 AM, well after the posted 7:30 AM opening time, and the store was clearly not ready--almost no bread was available for purchase, and an employee named Savannah was still stocking shelves while talking on the phone. That alone is disappointing, but what followed was worse. When I asked her for help finding a specific bread, I was met with a rude and dismissive response that it would take another 25 minutes. When I questioned why the store wasn't ready despite being open, she became defensive and started blaming others instead of helping or taking any responsibility. The situation escalated unnecessarily due to her attitude. Another employee then stepped in and found the bread within seconds, proving the issue wasn't availability--it was poor customer service. There was no apology, no attempt to de-escalate, and no sense of accountability. This reflects poorly on staff training and management oversight. Opening hours should mean the store is ready to serve customers, and basic professionalism should be the standard. Management needs to address both operational readiness and customer service training. Based on this experience, I would hesitate to return.
