One of my Yelp friends made a post about $3 medium drink rewards this past week for Paris Baguette rewards members, and when I checked my account dashboard, I saw that I had two such rewards: $3 Latte or Macchiato and $3 Matcha or Chai. I just so happened to pass by this Paris Baguette while visiting Kearny Mesa, and since I was getting thirsty, I decided to stop in and see what drink I could get. Unlike the other Paris Baguette locations close to where I reside, this Paris Baguette is actually located inside Zion Market on Clairemont Mesa Blvd right off the 163 freeway. It's kind of like Tous Les Jours embedded inside Hmart where it'd be impossible to stop by the bakery without first entering the grocery store. There were a couple of customers waiting to order, and then when it was my turn, the cashier (Isabella?) went to make some drinks. They seemed short-staffed because it took her a couple of minutes to get to me, though she did acknowledge my presence and said she'd be with me in "just a second" even though it took way more than a second lol. At least I had ample time to peruse the menu. At first, I was planning to get an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, whose regular price for a medium size would be $6.50. However, I noticed another TV that was showing the seasonal drinks. I was getting annoyed by that TV because it kept flipping back and forth between two different screens, which really hampered my decision-making process. The screens would change at random times, so I hastily came to a decision of the Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte, though I wasn't totally sure if either reward would work on that specialty latte. When Isabella was ready to take my order, she did confirm the Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte would qualify for the $3 reward, but then I had to ask which reward? Since it was a matcha drink, it could have worked for "$3 Matcha or Chai", but since it was also a latte drink, it could have also worked for "$3 Latte or Macchiato". Surely, Paris Baguette could have been a little less ambiguous about which reward such a drink would qualify for, especially since "Chai Latte" is also a drink they offer. I showed Isabella both rewards, and she determined that the Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte would work for the "$3 Matcha or Chai" reward. I had noticed that the drink was listed as $7.99 on the menu, but it actually rang up as $6.99 at the register. My goal was to get the most expensive drink that would qualify for either $3 reward, and $7.99 was the highest price tag I saw; there easily could have been another $7+ drink out there that I could have ordered to maximize my savings, but oh well... Isabella went off to do something as I was paying, but forgot to press a button on her end to request payment, so the payment process took a little longer than expected. If the TV screen hadn't kept flipping back and forth so much, and if that particular line item had shown the correct price, I could easily have chosen a different drink instead. But no complaints about the drink itself. It took just a couple of minutes for them to prepare my Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte. I was expecting them to give me a straw, but they have them on a counter by the right wall. I had an Iced Matcha Latte from Dunkin' earlier in the week, and it was on the order of "meh". This matcha latte was way better, though it certainly wouldn't be fair to compare a seasonal flavored matcha latte from a patisserie to a regular matcha latte from an average fast food chain that sells dry, day old tasting donuts lol. The latte was topped with the caramel drizzle, and it paired so well with the matcha that even if the matcha tasted grassy to begin with, I didn't sense it at all. I also thought the drink was at just the right consistency without being overly frothy, like the matcha latte from Dunkin'. Also, it's worth noting I'm not particularly a fan of matcha, so if you are, rest assured that you can get good quality matcha here! Is it the best matcha in town? If you're asking me, you're asking the wrong person LOL. Overall, it's a pretty decent Paris Baguette to go to, and it will definitely keep you company as you do your shopping in Zion Market. If you're not a rewards member, don't forget to join and download the app! These kinds of deals show up from time to time, but you don't necessarily get notified when they come up; instead, you'll have to check the app on a consistent basis or be Yelp friends with someone who posts these kinds of deals on their Yelp feed lol. Like yours truly for example; I'll let you know they're issuing these $3 medium drink rewards for the next two weeks as well. You're welcome :)
I ordered s'more latte via the app. When i got there, they couldn't find my drink. When they did, the drink looked like it's been sitting there for a while. It didn't taste like much of anything. I'm surprised that it had no sweet taste at all. I asked for no ice so it wasn't full. It's inside Zion so plenty of parking. It's a small bakery but it looks like there's plenty of pastries and desserts to choose from.

I was so impressed with this bakery inside the Zion supermarket! The mural on the wall is cool and represents SD very well. The entire bakery area is exceptionally clean, organized, and beautifully maintained. Every display case was fully stocked with an incredible variety of fresh pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts, making it hard to choose just one item. The pastries were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The cakes were not only tasty but also beautifully decorated and looked like they came from a high-end bakery. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into both the presentation and quality of everything they make. It's refreshing to find a bakery that consistently offers such a great selection while keeping everything looking spotless and inviting. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their amazing treats. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth or looking for fresh baked goods!
I've been looking everywhere for the circle croissant with filling. I found it here!! It was super soft and flavorful! Been craving it ever since I bought it yesterday. Definitely will be stopping by here again to get it again. Maybe try a different flavor next time! The service is pretty fast you serve yourself and then get rang up at the front. The place is clean and has lot of variety to choose from!
This a great pastry, hot beverage cafe. Tons of options. From tiramisu tarts to pastry franks. Drinks range from coffee to smoothies. They also have full cakes and slices. Also great for snacks and a full meal. I recommend the pepperoni pizzeta. This pizza has a nice croissant bite to it.
Such a great place for coffee and pastries. So many to choose from. They offer both savory and sweet pastries, including croissants, danishes, fruity tarts, and cakes. I ordered the Pastry Frank, which had buttery, flaky dough wrapped around a frank- simple but really satisfying. I also got a hot hazelnut coffee that tasted freshly brewed. The cashier was super sweet with a huge smile and she made the experience feel welcoming. One thing to note: the parking and entrance are a bit confusing right now, and there's some construction happening around the store.
Picked up a last minute birthday cake. It was a hit! The fruits were fresh and the cake was not too sweet. I recommend Paris Baguette for the cakes.
This Paris Baguette branch is by far the busiest one I've ever visited. It's almost always packed, no matter what day you go, which says a lot about how popular it is. If you're looking for freshly baked pastries, bread, and breakfast items, this is definitely one of the best spots. Everything I've tried has been fresh and well made, from their pastries to their breakfast selection. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was finding Buchi, a Filipino favorite. If you've never had it, Buchi is a chewy glutinous rice pastry with a sweet mung bean filling. Seeing it brought back wonderful childhood memories, as it was one of my favorite snacks growing up. Whether you're stopping in for a quick breakfast, a cup of coffee with a pastry, or taking home freshly baked bread, this location consistently delivers quality. It's easy to see why it's always so busy, I'm a regular here and usually stop by almost every week.
Paris Baguette has moved with Zion market. They are still inside Zion and have the same open layout. Grab a trey and tongs and grab which pastry you want. This time I got the ham and cheese croissant. It wasn't as crispy and flakey as I'd like. I think if I took it home and tossed in the toaster oven for a few minutes woulda done it wonders. They do have coffee drinks which are a great complement to many of the pastries. I think I might stick with the chocolate croissant that I usually get from then. Service was friendly and efficient. Zion is now located just past the 805 offramp. They have their own parking lot so no problem getting to Paris Baguette.
Really great service! This is inside the new and improved Zion Market right off the 163. While there aren't very much options left this late in the day, their Nutella Belgian waffles was absolutely delicious and highly recommended!
I came in to grab a Korean bbq seasonal item. So good! I wish it had a little more seasoning, but it was good nonetheless. They do offer to heat it up but I opted to take it as is. Great service and a very clean atmosphere. from me
When traffic isn't moving and you're babysitting why not pull over and get some goodies. Located inside the new Zion market. With an abundance of parking it's a quick pit stop. The cases showcase anything your heart desires from sweet to savory. I quickly grabbed a tray as I circled all the choices before narrowing it down to my top three. After filling my tray I brought it to the cashier to be rung up with an iced fall coffee to get back on the road again. The staff was happy and constantly restocking leaving no hungry belly behind. I loved the clean black and white decor giving Paris vibes. Until my sugar runs low and pasties are on my mind I am sure I will be back soon. The blueberry cheesecake and dirt worm donut were the best! Nothing like actually being in Italy but for a hop skip and happy boys face this was a perfect for today!

I had the ape donut strudel thing! Maybe I just love all things apple fritters and turnovers but I enjoyed this! Its a small bakery but conveniently in lion market and next to a tesla charger! Cashier is quick and easy. However, the atmosphere, I don't feel like im in Paris or anything and I went to Paris as a kid! Lol! This place has good pastries and variety! read more

Located inside new Zion market and it does not disappoint tons of fresh pastries . Price point is alittle high anywhere from 4-6.00 each . Staff is alittle in their own world didn't seem interested in helping . Coffee was decent not very strong or flavorful had to add honey and sugar to my vanilla cold brew . Pastries is the way to go 10/10 I probably wouldn't order another coffee it's very limited and they would make modifications to the lemonade drinks I wanted half green tea and they said sorry I will have to charge you for both drinks .baguettes was amazing . read more
If you're ever in Zion Market, you need to stop by Paris Baguette. I ended up getting the pink velvet and salted caramel croissants. Both were delicious and had a nice crisp with a custard filling. This bakery is setup cafeteria style and staff was friendly. read more
After going to one of these is NY, and saw it's in San Diego, had to go!!! Was bummed the sandwiches aren't the hot panini type in NY, while it's in a market, they did a great job with a seating area, and still had a great visual of all the pastries. Will definitely be back!! read more

Inside the new Zion Market, the bakery looks bright and clean. Lots of sweet and savory pastries, cakes, and drinks. I personally like the soft cream cake and their lavender iced matcha. read more
I've been a fan of this Paris Baguette ever since they are first open at the Zion market. I've always get my cake there.. sometimes my daughter just randomly asked for a whole cake just because. The blueberry and berries is our favorite. This year I saw the chocolate cake and it looks so good so I decided to try. It was so good and not to sweet. It taste like they used quality dark chocolate. My kids also love the chocolate, custard, and the whip cream breaf. They used to get their lunch stolen all the time because of I packed Paris Baguette bread. I wish lots of success so I can keep coming back to get my goodies. The place is really cute. It's smaller than the Zion market, but still have all the delicious treats. Customer service is always AHHHHMAZING. I do feel bad that they always have to make fresh batch of coffee because I like their pastries with coffee.. sorry.. but your coffee is sooo delicious and it pair perfectly with the pastries. read more

They rarely have sandwiches out. Ok if the sandwiches are popular make some more. Now I won't be coming because I don't want to waste a trip because I expect no sandwiches. You are in a very busy area and you don't even have one sandwich before noon. Sorry but this is poor management. read more
I stopped at this location to charge my Tesla. They have quite a few Tesla chargers in the parking lot. The bakery is inside the Zion market. There was a limited amount of pastries when I came over because it was in the afternoon however they all look distinctly like Paris baguette. And I'm sure the quality is the same. Please come and create your own adventure . read more
When I'm craving a real croissant I like to stop by Paris Baguette. Many local bakeries price croissants closer to the $10 range and I simply cannot justify that. So, when I want a real croissant I know I can stop in and get a very good basic croissant. I really love their plain butter croissants and the ham and cheese croissant. They are perfectly flaky and when they warm them, they are wonderful. I've tried many other pastries, but the croissants are my favorite. I like the coffee as well and they are priced on average with most other coffee shops. The issue I have is many times my drinks have been taken and they don't do much, but say they will remake it. I also pay for the flavored syrups and they give you half a pump, so you don't really get much flavor and you are paying a ridiculous amount for that syrup. Their nutella cold brew and nutella latte were favorites of mine, but I like an iced latte with vanilla as well. You can download their app for offers like a free pastry with a beverage purchase or a cake slice for your birthday. You can also earn points, but they do expire so I never earn enough to redeem anything. read more

Smaller than the other Paris baguette at the old Zion market. However, the pastries and cakes are still desserts. However, I feel like they had more choices at the old one. Service is fast and there are seats to enjoy your treats after shopping. read more

Came at Sunday night with still have a selection available. Ordered two slices of cakes for about $7.00 each. Would come back again to purchase one of their full size cakes. This is located inside of Zion Marketplace and has 5 indoor tables to sit inside the café. read more
Soft opening was today! You have to come and try this NEW Paris Baguette inside the NEW Zion marketplace. I'm a fan but even more so today as I saw all the variety of pastries and drinks that they employ. Of course some patience is needed but they have a full set up going on now. The service is great and the decor is beautiful. You have to come and try all the flavors and cakes. There is a clear window to see workers baking and you can trust that this place will be a great post grocery shopping spot. We will definitely be back and I am excited to see how things develop here. Hot tip go get the cake slices to try a variety of different cakes they offer. You won't regret coming here. read more

Paris Baguette is located inside Zion Market. There is a large sign outside to let you know they are here. This is a smaller store. There is no seating inside. The varieties of goods are great. The service from everyone is friendly and pleasant. They are so nice here! I got about 7 items. My favorite was their custard and chocolate tarts. Yum! read more

This is located right inside the new location for Zion market, just like the old one was. It is fairly large and there are even a few tables inside. There's a big window into the kitchen where you can watch them preparing the baked goods. This location can get very busy and it turns into absolute pandemonium. Mobile orders get mixed up and go by the wayside and the line can get really long. otherwise, the baked goods are of Paris baguettes high standards, and the drinks are good, I especially like their Matcha lattes, which are the best I found so far. read more

Had to make a stop while in San Diego and YES! They had my favorite green tea! We had so much fun with Percy, such a sweet and friendly young lady who provided amazing service! They offer the same delicious baked goods as they do back home in Chandler. First time trying the Opera cake and Percy was exactly right, it was like blighting into a chocolate candy bar. If you like chocolate, this is the one for you. They were a little (or a lot wipes out) because of Valentine's Day, but they still had plenty of yummy left for me and my 3 friends. Located inside the Zion Market, it's has seating available for a casual ambiance. Definitely glad we stopped to check it out...and thank you Percy for providing such fast and super friendly service! read more

I bought a slice of chocolate ganache cake from the zion market paris baguette location, hoping this cake would be good. Unfortunately, I am very sad to say that the cream tasted really old and it was different from previous slices I had. Cake coating was dried. You can see from the difference in color. I believe this cake has been there for 1-2 weeks, displaying old cakes and selling them for $7 each. I was expecting a good quality, fresh cake but this was absolutely subpar. The deserts are 100% amazing. You cannot go wrong. The facailry, however, is run down and nothing looks like it's been tended for a long time. We had a fruit tart (possible the best I've ever had) and the strawberries and cream croissant. Both were perfection. Fresh, flakey, the fruit was bursting with flavor and they were not overly sweet. A night good pastry for sure. It's a server yourself affair and it is inside Zion Market and it is very overrun with business. Everyone was nice and everyone seemed to be enjoying things but soooo many people go through this place that it's a little run down looking. Clean and all, just run down. It's better than most other dessert places that are not as extraordinary as their name might suggest. Enjoy! read more

Gross! One of the glass doors to the pastry case is broken so they are leaving it open! I saw flies buzzing around inside the case so I spoke to the cashier about temporarily putting plastic or paper there and she asked me to speak to the manager Nigel -who refused to cover it to maintain sanitation. He said "corporate doesn't want is to put anything there except the glass door". So he is doing NOTHING about the disgusting flies. EWWWWEWWWWWEEWWWW! What is wrong with this place! I won't be back until at least 2 days after I see intact glass doors in place. Flies are laying eggs and pooping on those pastries!!! What?!?! read more
